MoreThis is not a Museum. This is a private property of Late Nawab of kalabagh, Nawab Ameer Muhammad Khan now under occupation of his descendants. This is guest house of Nawab Ameer Muhammad Khan used for guests. Its names derived from a too big tree of " Bargad" called BORH in Punjabi. It is located on the bank of mighty River Indus. A spacious lawn constructed on the bank and a big concrete wall was constructed to protect it from river water damage. A courtyard with stairs go into the river constructed and a suplended bunglow type guest house standindg with all its beauty and grandeur. Main guest house is used only for VIPs guests. It has two spacious bedrooms with attached baths one drawing room one big dining hall where almost 50 persons can eat their meal and a small meeting room. The drawing room has been decorated with the photographs of VIP guests who visited kalabagh and stayed in this guest house includes prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth, Mr. ZA Bhutto, Ayub khan and many others notables. Number of photographs of Nawab Ameer Muhammad Khan and his son Nawab Muzafar about his political career. Now a days although all descendants of Nawab are share holder of this guest house but mainly under the use of Nawan Asad who is residing in kala bagh. This Bangla has three parts and an orchard on a vast area. Big trees and fruit plants are there. The place is absolutely beautiful and unique. Big trees of " Chanar " maples on the bank of River looks too beautiful and reminds Kashmir as Maple leaf is official logo of AJK. In neiboughering town daud khel a cement plant is producing cement with the brand name of Maple leaf cement. Old remembrance are kept in a beautiful manner in the guest house to preserve the memories of Late Nawab Ameer Muhammad Khan.
MoreThe museum and the so called relics in it are not impressive but the huge old trees and the river corner is just heavenly. Its so full of beauty and positive energy that it will lift your spirit in no time
