Tiki-inspired cocktails fit right in with the decor at this old-school haunt with an island feel.
Delicious food, excellent service and an amazing atmosphere. You HAVE to try this place! Great sushi and Polynesian food.
Nice atmosphere but a bit disappointing on product. Large salad but thoughtless presentation of huge leaves and garnishes you need to work to eat. Sashimi was bare on the plate which looked lost and detracted from the dish. It had such potential but did not live up.
Great service & food! Owner is lovely!
Love this place! The atmosphere is great, the staff terrific and the Hula entertainment was fantastic! Thanks for a wonderful time!!!
We went right when they opened so the atmosphere wasnt quite as lively, but the waitress was so patient and friendly. The food was great and all food allergies were handled so well! Definitely come later when the night is in full swing if you want upbeat and lively, but right at opening was very relaxed. Thank you, again!
Cool spot, really tasty drinks. I love it.
Very cool place. Great atmosphere, it feels like your not in the city! Loved it.
Great place! Ambiance was 100%, sushi was really good, drinks were ok. Definitely going back
Absolutely amazing experience. Got to see a free Hula show and eat some delicious food and drinks, worth every penny.
Kahuna Tiki, for years, has been a premium place. Great drinks, great sushi, extraordinary atmosphere. Youre missing out if you dont go.
Great food, staff, entertainment. Had a great time.
Great atmosphere very good and fun servers delicious food!Going again for sure.
Nice ambiance, food is ok. Went on hula night. The show was great but Ive seen the island shows and well, its good for being on the mainland and for the Haole. 🤷🏼🤙🏽
The food was good and the drinks were phenomenal. Only sorry I didnt try this place sooner!
If you’re looking for a Hawaiian inspired restaurant with sushi, this is the place to go! They have a wide selection of Hawaiian inspired drinks as well as a many food options, great to go with family, friends and dates.
Very cool spot. Live performances including burlesque and tiki dancers depending on the day. Reserve with notice. Good drinks, great sushi and unique dishes.
The whole experience was bad even before I showed up. I see there’s no reservations available online so I decide to call to see what the wait would be for a party of 2 being 20 minutes away from the place. It’s takes a long time for someone to answer the phone (I guess they’re that busy). Hostess picks up and says it’s an hour wait for 2. Ok, Friday night that’s about average for a place that must be really good and busy. There’s no dedicated parking so it takes another 15 minutes or so. We show up ask the hostess for a table, she goes and looks around and comes back and sits us right away. It’s about 80% full. We go from an hour wait to empty tables in 35 min? Ok, possible but doubt it. It’s not like we’re those customers that come in 5 minutes before closing to have dinner. We showed up 2 hours before. So why lie about the wait? The worst part was the service. We sit down and start talking but then I realize no one is waiting on us. When you realize that it’s already bad. I can understand if they’re busy. But again there are literally empty tables spread out through the area. We just came for drinks. We don’t know who’s suppose to be waiting us. There’s a waitress that literally walks past our table to get to a table behind us that have been there already, not once but multiple times. Maybe it’s not her? Giving the benefit of the doubt. A couple behind us gets seated after us and another waitress takes their order. It’s getting irritating, even my gf is getting upset. Back to that same waitress that walks right by our table again to attend the table behind us. As she’s walking back through she makes eye contact with my girlfriend and says nothing, I didn’t know that at the time since I’m facing the other way. Either way I say “excuse me” and she turns back around and tell her we’ve been here for more than 10 minutes without a drink order. She says she doesn’t know who’s suppose to be taking the order and looks around but says she’ll take care of it. No other waitress walked by our area the entire night, it was clearly her. Why lie and walk right past us multiple times? After that she’s nice and keeps following up with us. The drinks came out fast but mediocre. The first drink my gf didn’t like so she got another one and it was better but not great like others claim. We finish our order and I leave a few dollars tip to the waitress since she changed her tune and did a 180 after she actually started waiting on us and did her job. I’m giving it 2 stars because of that and the atmosphere was nice, dim lighting and nice theme decor. Never coming back though. From “an hour wait” for 2, to clearly being ignored by service. No thanks. Some restaurants are worth the lack of parking and wait if it’s that good but not this one. This ain’t it chief.
The food was wonderful!Atmosphere is very inviting.Servers and staff were both attentive & friendly. Go ,enjoy & chill out here!
This place is so AWESOMELY GREAT!!! Cassandra and “Steve” aka… so handsome REALLY put on a show. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to ANYONE in the Burbank area looking for good food and a good time. I will be coming back whenever I’m in the area. Thanks for the good time- TRIN
Service was accommodating, great theming. Sick layout and a solid menu. Friends and fam enjoyed. Service was adequate and the food was fun to eat.
Large outdoor seating area with amazing ambiance and good food. Not a place Id go for sashimi, but definitely somewhere ai want to return for rolls, etc. Their poke was also great.
Great experience and atmosphere.Rolls were very tasty and creative fusions paired with a variety of drinks. Cocktails are refreshing and 👍,!
Took my girlfriend out for her birthday and she loved it! The sushi was delicious and fresh. We got some saki warmed up which was the perfect alcohol content to match the meal. The atmosphere is why I chose this spot. It has a Hawaii vibe but it feels like you stepped into some other place because it feels secluded. I havent been to a place that hit all the boxes like this place did. If you have a significant other then bring them here for a date, very fun and delicious!
Really nice spot. Staff was so attentive and kind, very much enhanced the experience. Drinks were fun and the space was great! Cant wait to come back, and to check out their other location
Had a group of about 12 for a birthday here and the service and food/drinks could not have been better. The waitress split our bill no problem, we asked in the beginning which might have helped. The venue is in a great location with unique decorations and a fun atmosphere. Heating lamps and little fire pits all around the outside for warmth.
The food was good and the ambience was fun. I did get bit twice by mosquitos while out there but I know they keep it well under control because it should have been a lot worse.Food was good. I dont recommend the role covers in cucumber with no rice. Its supposed to be spicy but wasnt and neither was the spicy Mayo just FYI because I dont even like too too spicy but I know some people do. The other rolls were delicious and the servers were fantastic!
The atmosphere was fantastic. The food was marginal. Im sure people come for the drinks. The waitress was very nice, but we had to ask at the bar for the check.
Tiki-themed outdoor restaurant like eating in someone’s backyard who really misses the South Pacific. The menu is too broad though. Some items such as the coconut shrimp are really good. The mushrooms and teriyaki vegetables were frankly just bad. The sushi and sashimi are ok. The drinks are very nice, although all sake-based, so less strong than traditional tiki drinks. All the staff are very nice. They have a Polynesian show on Sundays. Is this the last place left in Los Angeles that has that?Really like 3.5 stars, but the decor rounds it up to 4 for me.
The show was terrific. Very entertaining and made me miss Hawaii. The food was ok. It took about an hour to get all of our food. There were 8 of us
We came ove on burlesque night, the girls were fantastic. The food was just okay, the services with a beautiful smile, but seems that the waitress was new, as wherever you asked she didnt know the answers.
What a great tiki bar! I love visiting tiki bars in new cities and this was a really great find! The drinks were amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. Definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend!
It is now 10:14pm. According to the receipt, the order was delivered at around 5pm. It has been sitting on the floor next to one of my neighbors apartments the whole time. The neighbor said its not his. I called Kahuna Tiki and they said it was delivered by Postmates. You cant call them so I wrote to them on facebook. They have not replied. The order is probably going to start to smell soon. Someone may have lost almost $60. Dont ever order with Postmates, people.
Stars are really for the service and atmosphere. Great/friendly service! Drinks are pretty good too. We had a great time. If anything this is a place to come back if you were just getting drinks with some buddies. Food on the other hand was not good in my opinion.
Awesome atmosphere, food was great and the service was excellent. Only con is its a little pricy even for sushi, but it was still delicious! Their drink menu is extensive and creative, but not too expensive for the size you get. Definitely would recommend coming here for day you want to treat yourself.
The patio area is nice, rock wall waterfall, tables positioned enough apart that you enjoy your tables conversations and not notice the other tables.Food was very good and affordable and plenty of cocktails to choose from
Ordered 4 sushi rolls with no flavor whatsoever, cocktails were just juice no alcohol, werent given no napkins, water refill was nonexistent, was told to order an appetizer because there was a few "big" orders ahead of us. Appetizer came out with my sushi rolls so defeated the purpose, soy sauce only came with server and then disappeared, over priced for sushi that had no flavor, super small and fell apart at the touch of chopsticks. Will NEVER come back and I do not recommend to anyone, only gave 1 star because I had to if it were up to me Id given 0 stars...
Good was good and the menu is large. Sushi is good, a little pricey but not too much. They have no liquor license but the cocktails were still yummy. We came on burlesque night to our surprise! Very cool! Highly reccomend this place and i will be back
Most beautiful experience being treated like a queen by wonderful bartender/owner/waitress/cook if needed/manager😉😘😘A must visit kinda place. You will fall in love with everything 💕!
This place was great from start to finish! The staff was great and very accommodating. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was chill but lots of fun. The tiki decor is wonderfully kitschy. All and all, def a great place for drinks and food. We will definitely be back!!! PS: The sushi nachos are a must try.
Great vibe! Outdoor seating, even saw a show. Beautiful food performance, great cocktails. And the best Edamame with garlic dressing!
Loved the ambiance, even though there were people there, it was nice and not too loud. The staff was enjoyable, good drinks too.
Incredible find in North Hollywood. Great vibe, extremely friendly service, innovative food. Owners are dancers / choreographers who hires dancers as servers. They are high energy and generous of spirit. Makes for a fun evening. Highly recommend!
Your own little piece of a Tropical Paradise in North Hollywood. With great drinks and food promises to be an enjoyable time. The only spot that I know of that still has a Polynesian review on the weekend. Come on by and see these beautiful girls sweep you away to the islands of the South Pacific...
AMBIENCE!! Hawaiian meets zombies!! Hula dancers and fire dancers were great entertainment! The ambience is entertaining and interactive. They asked for volunteers to dance and we did, not by choice, but we were good sports about it! SUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE! FRIENDLY STAFF! We had 2 sushi rolls which were average and the kalua pig plate was also average. The lava pit drink needed more spice! I would give them a high rating if the food was good but I was not impressed maybe Ill try another dish next time. I will definitely come back for the ambience. Thank you staff for being exceptional, this is hard to find!!
Hands down best place to eat in Noho.A. Venue; sushi bar area- cool, secret cave- great, massive outdoor patio-awesome! (no joke largest in Noho).B. Sushi menu; sushi is all great, separate sushi menu with lots of great specialty rolls, plus the good ol regular ones, best part is not expensive. (We had lava roll and made to order poke which had to take home because it was huge)C. Regular/hot food menu; Hawaiian style, teriyaki burgers, sandwiches, salads etc. A few Spam dishes (tried the spam and cheese cause why not..weird.. but good)D. Mini Luau show on Sundays (we came this dayand on top of all that, the owners who chatted with us, and from what I found out most of the staff, are professional dancers! I know certain places have aspiring actors and industry people that make up the staff, but when I found out this is the sushi place for dancers as employees, it just added to the other great things for me.
Food, drinks and atmosphere were fantastic! Love all the water features... a true tiki oasis in the middle of the city. Fried rice was our favorite; it was huge! Drinks were tasty, albeit different due to the agave wine used instead of liquor.
Its a great place to have a good time along with great food. The chef and the waitresses are great
Kahuna Tiki is a small hole in the wall....However the service and the food is good...I do love the setting of the restaurant...
Absolutely loved this oasis in NOHO, its almost like your in Hawaii, minus the beach. Amazing drinks, the may tai and blue hawaiian are my fav. Will definitely come back, its worth the drive from Ktown.
This is a very nice OUTDOOR restaurant. Foods is very flavorful. Fish was fresh - loved the musabi and fried oysters. Ideal for a nice night out, but beware if its raining! Dress warm if its cold outside.
