66 Great Titchfield St, Fitzrovia, London W1W 7QJ, Gamba
Independent Aussie/Kiwi-owned coffee shop with deli-style breakfasts, sandwiches and salads.
Expresso is too roasted (italian basedand it is served as a ristretto. Super short. For £3.2. The Portuguese tart is good but please dont call it Portuguese. Its very different to the original.
Very overpriced, other options are better in the area. The service was friendly but a bit slow. I would not go back again
We were having a biscuit with our coffee the owner came outside barking you cant bring food here extremely rude person but I must say the staff are really nice just horrible owner
Coffee done right.Deliciously brewed coffee with the right amount of milk; couldn’t ask for anything better on a coffee deprived morning!
Sunday brunch- lots of people but still managed to get a seat! The brioche was delicious, and lots of foam on the cappuccino. Great place to catch up with a friend 😊
If you are in London then make sure you go here for breakfast. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The décor is minimal and stylish. The coffee is delicious and they have a great selection of meals and snacks. I had the pancakes with espresso syrup and mixed berries 🤤. 10/10
The breakfast set is 12 with one hot breakfast and a drink. The orange juice is freshly squeeze. The avocado is average but the sautéed mushroom with Parmesan cheese is really nice. The sourdough is a bit hard. The portion is big.
The coffee thing in London is a rare example of we Aussies exporting a "vice" back to the mother ship. In the scheme of things, this is a token gesture. Cafes taking the extraction of coffee oils into hot water have been seriously on the rise here. This example isnt all bad. The breakfast plates look at home in bondi or St kilda. Somehow they got religion and transformed my wholemeal toast to look, taste and behave just like white toast..as confirmed by random food delivery man, cutting his swathe through the weekend morning throng. The coffee had to be upgraded to triple shot, (though always a double in Ozin a vain effort to get flavour balance. While the milk was textured well, the coffee itself had all the definition of a maternity dress. The cold filter was fine. Not the worst choice in a town that has in recent decades discovered food beyond sustenance.
Best pan cake in townBellow average coffee
My husband and I visited kaffeine on Eastcastle Street on Sunday and both ordered hot chocolate and pancakes with espresso syrup. The lady at the till accidentally put our order through incorrectly. Once this was discovered the manager came over and apologised profusely and arranged for our food to be delivered quickly afterwards. We were given a full refund for our order even though we didnt ask for this and had not made a complaint. The pancakes were exceptionally good and the customer service was even better. We will definitely visit again next time we are in london
Modern, high standards and good food caffè. Highly recommend to visit.Have independent kitchen with incredible pancakes with espresso syrup.[service]Mostly, really friendly and helpful staff.[coffee]High quality coffee from Square Mile Coffee Roasters and amazing guest coffee program. Every 2 weeks new coffee rotation (espresso and filter).[Interior and facilities]Although the coffee shop is quite small you can find some seating during the day.Interior is nice though![coffee?]Definitely! Must visit place.••••• 5/5service ( friendliness )coffee (rating the drink itself)Interior and facilitiesservices ( food, guest coffee program, shop)cleanliness
Better than average coffees in London. Friendly staff, nice seating area.
Coffee is great:)I really love the Portugal tart here.Already come here several times. There are usually a lot of people in afternoon on weekends. If you want to have a seat there, maybe need to go earlier.
Like this small place .. good coffee
This used to be my favourite coffee house but unfortunately my last experience on 1 July has left a sour taste in my mouth. I paid around £17 for a bag of coffee beans and an oat latte; both were disappointing. The latte tasted of nothing but I figured that it was probably because the coffee tasted burnt, the water was boiled too hot, and that Id make a better latte as I use Minor Figures Oat Barista milk, which is superior to the Oatly Barista milk used here. Sadly, when I got home, I tried to make an espresso from the coffee I had ground at Kaffeine but it was so finely ground that it came out through the spout leaving me with a watery espresso. I realised that the reason my latte tasted of nothing at the coffee house was because they had overground the coffee beans. I can no longer use the ground coffee I bought as its not suitable for an espresso. If you do decide to go here, Id recommend buying the coffee beans but grinding them at home yourself to prevent a washed out coffee.
Delicious coffees and wonderful breakfast items. Super fresh and great flavors. Loved the brioche with bacon and the raspberry cashew tart.
The coffee👍👍👍They have gluten free menu
As coffee roaster, its very delicious, I ordered flat white (Colombian beans anaerobic processvery great but light body.Wish if they improve the steaming a bit to develop a heavier body
Busy little cafe. Great coffee and very tasty smashed avo on toast (great sourdough bread).
Fantastic coffee. The free mint & lemon water is a great plus before siping the kaffeine. Well worth the price if you’re treating yourself.
Nice servings.Ordered two filtered on a washed columbian beans. Both coffies were not very interesting tastewise, mostly watery beside the its ending(?)Pastry was good
I’ve been twice while in London, and the coffee is exceptional. The service is quite friendly too, making it just an all-around comfortable place to sit and have coffee. Also, the music here is lively👍🏽! Definitely worth a stop (or twowhen in town!
They dont offer the fancy banana bread dish that I loved years ago anymore :( The service is good as always and food / coffee quality consistent.
Super cute & cozy place for coffee. The staff were friendly . Flat white n filtered coffee were good
Great coffee, we had a take out but there’s some limited seating available. The food looked pretty good too!
Tried their latte, cappuccino and Portuguese tart. The coffee was great and the tart was delicious! The place is a small if you want to sit and work.
The young lady with a delightful Scottish accent served us and generally cleared-up and took care of our table by the window/entrance.What an absolute diamond this person is.Polite, courteous and all-round one of the most nicest persons Ive met working in a coffee shop.Kaffeine comes highly rated and I can see why, employing such staff.A cute, small quaint location and the long black I had was excellent.I cant comment on the hot chocolate but my guest did say this was nice.Worth visiting, just mind the step when you go in and leave. If you tip (onlinevia.a QR code, staff receive this directly.Good setup!
Super cute & cozy place for coffee. The staff were helpful in recommending the mushrooM dish in which was really good. Loved that ppl were chilled there & shared tables with other random people.
Overall I liked the coffee, and the staff are really friendly but I don’t know why the latte has white bits floating… Part of the milk I guess?
This is hands down, the best coffee spot in London. The soya latte is heavenly. The spot is chic, clean and edgy. Its for the serious but sexy. The humble but ambitious, its a real coffee shop.
First time visiting and would definitely come back. The ambience is just nice, love how they also have outdoor sitting. Aside from their amazing coffee, they have wide choice of snacks as well, many you could not found in a regular coffee-shop in London. Worth a visit!
Ive been coming to Kaffeine for a few years - I always go out of my way to visit when I am near Oxford Circus. They have never let me down with the quality of their coffee. Its a nice spot to sit also. I always feel confident bringing a friend here that they will have something delicious to try. The beans for sale are always fresh and interesting. I especially love how they serve their espresso with a little palate cleanser such as cold brew green tea - I wish more shops would do this.
Came here this afternoon for a quick coffee and had a great time. The baristas were super friendly and nice. Had a beautiful cup of coffee too. The food looked great and fresh but I didnt get any.The outdoor seating looks nice too but none was available so had to sit inside but was plenty of space and very chill vibe.Definitely recommend if youre in the area and looking for a great coffee on the go or to sit in.If you liked my review feel free to give it a 👍 and follow on Google Maps for more reviews!
Love this place. Coffee always high quality and stuff always nice and friendly.Iced latte worth special mentioning, cause it’s one of the places where they make it, so you still feel coffee and not just milk.
Had food and drinks today here after a disappointing visit to another restaurant in the same street. Very happy that we didn’t eat in the other place as we discovered kaffeine. Food was really delicious, their pancakes idea is unique, maple and coffee that mix of flavours works. The egg with hollandais was really good as well. We had flat white and hot chocolate after the meal and both as one of the best we had in London. Staff were so nice and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. We will become a regular.
One of the original third wave coffee shops in London, and consistently one of the best. Fantastic coffee served perfectly in a small but well-designed space. A nice spot to sit outside too and watch the world go by (if you’ve got time!Plenty of tempting snacks too.
Popular coffee place and now I can see why. Flat white was nice and strong just how it should be and the little Portuguese tart was a treat.
cosy coffee spot conveniently located in central london :been here several times and felt that the coffee is slightly on the acidic side but in a good way - i usually don’t like acidic coffee but really enjoyed the ones here!
The service is superb. Also a lot.of staff on the shop. The pastries to go with coffee and hot sandwiches are really food. The espresso is a little too acid for me. (The new way of espresso as I like to call itits always busy at.this place, but youll find a spot to sit .... the tea to.go with your coffee in stead of water is a nice touch.
Their coffee is just amazing. The chilled tea they serve with the espresso perfectly balances out the strongly acidic taste of the coffee. The dark chocolate brownie was jummy, much tastier than usual brownies you might eat somewhere else. The staff is very friendly! The chairs are not the most comfortable, and the prices are a bit higher. In this case, I dont mind paying more, as you get everything you pay for, and more.
excellent coffee, banana bread, toast & jam. very friendly service too. best for take away than for a relaxed chat with a partner though, since place is tiny and even at just before 8am we only managed to get a corner seat at one of a handful of low (not really comfytables
Very nice place to spend an hour coffee break. Had a cold brew coffee which was served on ice. Serving it without ice but cold would be a better idea. Still very tasty though. Cakes and bakes are all delicous. Place has a very clean toilet. Sitting outside is fun.
I know this coffee roaster and i expected a good taste, unfortunately when I decided to try the coffee flight i was quite disappointed. It included flat white, where I could taste mostly milk, not coffee, espresso shot, which was very bitter and i dont understand why but in the middle it was green tea! Why would u add green tea, normally filter is offered, I would change... Also the place is small and quite cold inside. Therere some snacks available...
Very good coffee, I had salmon croissant too which taste very good too. The staffs are friendly. Though the cafe was very busy, they make sure my table is clear of cups and plates which I was done with, and constantly had my drinking water glass filled with fresh drinking water. They also dont judge when I wanted to stay longer to finish up writing my journal so I felt stress-free though in a busy environment. 👍🏻😊
I had a great visit at Kaffeine today with my cousin who always knows where the great places of London are.She said we had to get the flight, which starts with a delicious espresso, followed by a delicious cool green tea - Jasmine with a little something extra, finishing with a flat white. The coffees and the tea were splendid! The espresso had a beautiful texture and an almost syrupy quality. The tea was clean and floral with a bit of fruit, and the flat white was masterfully done.We got a white chocolate blueberry muffin to enjoy with it. It was also delicious with a very nice texture. The crew were really smiley and welcoming, and clearly very proud of the quality of their product. I thoroughly recommend that you give it a try.
The one time I got here and it was empty! Its always busy because its so good. But the staff are very efficient at moving queues forward so wait times are not bad at all. Excellent coffee!
Lovely little place. The food is absolutely amazing. Breakfast Brioche - Cotechino sausage, fried egg and gruyere cheese was fabulous! Will definitely go back!
Great espresso, decent range of fresh pastries and cakes (not bought in stuff in cellophane). Their almond butter is probably the best Ive ever had. Plenty of space outside to leave your bike in the morning.
Good Coffees (I tried the espresso & flat white). But Not as good as Workshop Coffee (in the Same neighbourhood). Try them both! They both make excellent coffees. Kaffeine has Some good Looking Cakes & Sandwiches. No WiFi. Didn’t like the Music the played that much. Crowded on the saterday afternoon we visited. Good vibe. Oh.. almost no power plugs to reload your phone (behind the bar is One - one of the Girls behind the counter was so friendly to plug me in 👍).
For the last 2 years of living in Fitzrovia, Kaffiene has been my go to place for coffee and breakfast. Its a humble coffee shop that serves good brioche and excellent coffee. I especially like the atmosphere and environment of this place. We often come here to read and get some work done. They have enough tables and high stools to accommodate groups. Some times you just need to share. At the back of the room, youll find more seats, but I generally like to be seated by the window :)
