Kabula Lodge in Blantyre

Kabula Lodge is a great place to stay in Blantyre. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Great staff, who go above and beyond. Breakfast is also good. Made use of the shuttle service to QECH, which is great for those whoare working at the hospital. Finally, the views from the terrace are incredible! Highly recommended.

Positives:- Beautiful view from the terrace.- Shuttle bus to Queens hospital every morning and every afternoon.- Clean rooms.Negatives:- Prices for the rooms are different for everyone and its almost impossible to move to a cheaper room.- Owner screamed at me when I wanted to transfer the money to her bank account because someone else was late transferring the money. I did not have anything to do with that.- If someone is coming over for a night and staying in your room, you pay double the price for that room.- Rooms are quite expensive.- I was told that breakfast was included in the price, but breakfast for long-term guests is plain toast and tea.- Wifi does not work in most of the rooms.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful! Quiet, up off the road, birds singing, fragrant gardens, excellent night views, tranquil spot! Comes with breakfast and very reasonably priced. Got a room with double bed and a twin and the mosquito netting was actually very romantic. (Dont leave the fan on all night pointed at the opening like we did though! Blew it open and I got about 20+ bites! Husband got none, but Im an O type so go figure!)

Its a good place but the time I was there there was water problem and ending up bathing hot water only because there was no cold water.

Popular with volunteer workers. Great location in leafy central suburb with views north.Service variable. Kitchens had been closed when we visited on Dec 23 because it was quiet. Breakfasts arrives when it is ready. Not necessarily at the stated time.Noisy generator. Rooms poorly ventilated and freestanding air con was feeble.

I love this place, beautiful gardens, lovely mountains view at anywhere but the best is from the restaurant, is very clean, the cleaning lady Ms. Katherine every time clean amazing good my room, because I was cooking, every body very efficient, the place have very good location can walk to the town, is safe as a frmale travelling alone here is very important to get safe places and safe areas, hot water always, not often power problems, and very good think is has wifi for free, in Malawi many small lodges has to pay for.
