Stripped-back Pan-Asian street food cafe with exposed bricks, wooden boards, wines and artisan teas.
I got a bill from of 63 but they actually take 67.8 pounds from my card, they handled it really well and refund me the extra charge. The taste of the food is absolutely good, strongly recommend the fried chicken wings.
Incredible food, brilliant service! The food really does take centre stage here and it does not disappoint. Authentic, tasty options for vegans and non vegans. Great value with portion sizes.
Good Thai restaurant! Food is tasty and the restaurant has cosy vibes. Highly recommended!
I like it. As a Thai person, I appreciate some more variety of food from the North of Thailand. Even though theyre not quite what they are supposed to be, still delicious. Not bad in terms of prices, good for office workers.
I am so happy with the food quality, and how friendly the staff is. They were very helpful, making the dishes gluten-free for me and being very accomodating. I value this so much! And because of this, I will be coming back again.
Awesome as ever. This is the best restaurant in the area. Ingredients fresh, Chef amazing and a good price. A well deserved 5 Stars!Still the best restaurant in the area - went again and lovely to see a queue outside. Book a table people!!Went again today and it was fabulous as always. Gave my staff the choice of restaurant and they all said Kin!!
My partner and I came here for dinner tonight pre-theatre and it was sad to see it so quiet (largely due to rail strikes it seems). The food was very tasty, not unreasonably priced, and fresh. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Recommend trying the veggie spring rolls and the iced teas!
Very lovely Thai food. Easy quick lunch place on leather lane.
First time Ive had a katsu curry was here, and I liked it. Nice restaurant, nice food!
We had a lovely meal here. The food was really good with a great selection. Everything was served very fast and was delicious. We had pad Thai katsu curry and nasi goreng with some pot stickers. They also have a nice beer selection with some some nice local beers. Staff were pleasant and would be happy to return.
Why put Thai dishes on the menu if you aren’t even going to try to make them the right way? Pad Krapow had almost no krapow in it, was made with huge chunks of pork belly instead of minced meat, and seemed to just be flavoured with soy sauce. Very poor
Good Thai restaurant with industrial style decor with quirky murals/manga inspired drawings on the walls. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Service was good. We had a minor problem with one dish having a different sauce than than the one we ordered, this was immediately fixed with no fuss. Worth noting that all the dishes including starters were served at the same time. The restaurant has a small number of tables outside under gazebos.
I liked the relaxing atmosphere and the staffs are attentive. The food that we ordered was nice and not too oily for a stir fry noodle dish. However, I didnt understand why they dont use egg noodle in khao soi but rather some type of somen noodle. Also, on top was supposed to be crispy fried egg noodle but it was all soggy. The aroma and spice mix were perfect though. Generous portion and reasonable price made up are the perks.I might go back and try other dishes on the menu as most dishes were good.
Brilliant place! The food was class but the staff were the difference. Quick service, happy, smiling and bit of banter. Rarely would I be happy to pay a pre determined service charge, but they deserve it! Great and going again!
Not good. Food taste standard & I dont like the services compare any other Asian restaurant. I think if you want to open a restaurant, at least you have 1 paper menu for a bunch of tables at there. It just ridiculous saying a restaurant, with a reason of paper less and doesnt have paper menu even 1 pcs. I havent found any restaurant make this kind of excuse..
Really good prices, cosy atmosphere, friendly staff. The salt and pepper tofu was out of this world and this chicken was so delicious Im still thinking about It the next day
This is ridiculous! I called to book a table and then someone without booking was seated inside and they told us for our reservation is outside. They took 10min to come and speak to us to tell us this. Horrible service never again to this place. Sort your staff out!
Very relaxed place with some street seating. Friendly and attentive staff and really enjoyed their freshly made food. Reasonably priced
I ordered Phad thai and got a pad krapao instead. I told the staff when they served me the food and they absolutely asked me if it’s was ok. But they were far away from going the extra mile for me, even though they were the ones that served me the wrong food. The food itself was tasteless, only thing I liked was that there was some spiciness.
Lovely little place on Leather Lane. I had the yellow curry with rice and a side of stir fried oak choi both very flavourful. The staff were clear and attentive and I felt at home even with anxiety. The whole window at the front comes away so it’s very bright and airy, great for summer.I suppose it would have been nice to have some low/no alcohol drinks available unless I missed them. Plenty of soft drinks otherwise. Will definitely return.
I have been here at least four or five times. It never disappoints me!
Tiny but lovely little restaurant/take away! Dishes are absolutely delightful, red tofu curry I had recently was just out of this world! Recommended 100%!!!
Im new to London but this is not good, nor authentic Thai food. Both the pad thai and the stir fry were overly sweet, and nowhere near the usual balance of hot, sweet, salty and sour. The pad thai didnt have much in it outside of the 7 prawns, bit of egg and noodles. The som tum was reasonable, but again overly sugary. The pork in the pork belly stir fry tasted old.The menu has a wide variety from katsu curry to Sichuan salads, so I guess I shouldve known.Lastly, to charge a 13.5% service charge for someone to take an order and carry food to your table seems a bit much.
Good service, fast food, interesting range of vegan dishes. The Cucumber Salad was amazing and would be worth eating alone. The Salt and Pepper Tofu was tasty, but because it’s puffed Tofu only so much you can eat. The waitress warned me multiple times how hot/spicy the ramen was, but I found it mild+. It was tasty; just didn’t live up to the warnings.A good place to eat as long as you set your expectations to “Good” foodWould eat there again if I am in the area
Super friendly staff and happily struggled with the big portions of food Pad Thai can end up being too oily but this wasnt the case. Nasi goreng came with a classic fried egg which was necessary and appreciated. Pork dumplings were very tasty and would recommend but the spring rolls were a bit on the oily end. Didnt end up getting dessert because I was so full - unfortunate!
Some of the best Thai food Ive had in London! Each dish was so authentic and full of flavor. Highly recommend the chicken wontons and Khao Soi noodles
Just Eat takeaway throigh work.Worst noodles I have ever had. Chicken like rubber, noodles oily, greasy and lacking flavour. Like something from a bad school canteen. A joke at these prices. In Thailand you can get noodles 1,000x times better for a tiny fraction of the price. So depesssing that places like this exist and people think its Thai food. It isnt.
Can’t knock the friendly service staff and fitting us in so late on a Saturday night however was not worth it. Terrible food, greasy/fatty tasting. We had Thai chicken wings which we may aswell went to a fast food place as they were flavourless and greasy. We also had the pad Thai which was ok but a bit spicy for a pad thai personally. Pork dumplings were also greasy and overcooked. Duck spring rolls were ok but I’ve had better. Will not be returning. Don’t waste your money. P.S If you want intimate this IS NOT THAT.
Ordered as a table of 5. All food came together (starters and mains). too much to fit on the table and it got cold before we could enjoy it.Surely better kitchen planning needed. Shame as the food when hot and fresh was tasty.
My wife is Thai. This is not authentic Thai food. Starters would good. However, mains was okay but not Thai.My wife asked for an egg to be well done (as she is pregnant), the waitress said the kitchen can’t do it.The waitress walked away and said she would ask the kitchen.I saw her walk to the end of the room then walk back and then said the kitchen can’t do it 🤣.Brilliant customer service! What a restaurant asking to take your plates while you are eating also. I loved that as well.
Very tasty food and large portions. If you dont like spicy you can ask for your dish mild, otherwise be prepared for some heat, which luckily I love. Friendly staff and very patient for our large table. Only loses 1 star as they brought the starters after the main course, it would have been helpful to warn us this would be the case or not label them starters! Otherwise definitely recommend.
Love the food here! I first discovered it during lockdown when looking for something for delivery. Have been missing out for many years. Definitely recommend this place.
Easy to book for the eat out deal, food still just as great, glad to be back! Got the prawn payaya salad 👌Update: came back post pandemic and got he sea bass, delish! 💛 😋
Great flavour and spices. There’s no ramp to enter for indoor eating but they have outside eating facilities which is okay for wheelchair user. Staff are generally helpful. Great prices and always enjoyed my meal. I would appreciate if the owner could get a ramp so that I can come back to eat indoors during the winter time.
Great dining experience, indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, full of flavour and very generous portions!
Deco of the restaurant was really nice and trendy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. Honestly, in terms of Asian street food, I’ve seen better in London. The presentation of the food, as you can see from the photos, are really nice, and don’t get me wrong, they are good quality food. I just don’t think they are authentic enough (and I think I can speak about authenticity since I am Asian). Nevertheless I did have a good time there!
Timing 5*Take away collection by 3 minutes at 9pm Wow! I called, then while get there, they made it.Taste 5*Delicious, rich, flavouredPackage 5*Stylish recycled with chopstick and fork too.Service 5*Indoor eating and street tables available also. Fancy feeling and music, by friendly and professional staff!
Everything from the cocktails to the food was amazing. If you enjoy Thai Food KIN is a must try
The food is ok but not great and quite expensive for weekeday lunch. The khao soi had too muxh coconut milk to the point and it makes you bit sick towards the end. Otherwise ok, presentation of the food was nice.
The service here is too fast. We felt rushed to finish and our food came out immediately after drinks. Wish we had a moment to enjoy our drinks before eating. However, the food is absolutely delicious. Especially if you are a fan of spicy food, the dishes did not disappoint! Would return.
A little confusing about what cuisine is the specialty.I had the prawn khao soi and Thai milk tea and both were delicious and would recommend.Service was also great, though a bit of waiting for a table due to popularity.Prices were not too bad either, though definitely not a cheap Asian place. It is slightly more upmarket.
Starters were really tasty and flavourful. Had the spicy chicken wings and the duck spring rolls. Both of which were on point. The main was slightly disappointing, got the week special which was chilly udon chicken. It was just bland and under-seasoned. You can tell that the chicken breast is cooked separately and then just added into the respective dishes as it just tastes of nothing and doesnt soak up the flavours from the rest of the food. So disappointing.
Wow! Chefs kiss. This restaurant serves up delicious thai food; I got the duck curry (picturedand it didn’t disappoint! I found this place thanks to my friend Sofi (not picturedbut she’s friends with my Ex (yikes!I blurred out her face because i’m still in love with her, and it’s too painful to look at her face ;-(. Also it’s really moderately priced!
Really delicious food cooked fresh. I had a nasi goreng as good as any Ive had in Malaysia or Indonesia. My companion had the pork belly special which was also excellent. We appreciated being seated without a reservation although it then felt a bit rushed when the time came to leave as staff came at about 1 minute intervals to see if we wanted anything else. His made things a little awkward and uncomfortable. Recommended for the excellent food.
The starters were ok, but nothing that special. The main was great and super filling coconut curry soup like. If wanted to, you could easily share one amongst two. It got spicier towards the bottom of the bowl so Id recommend to mix it well before you start eating. The service was friendly and relatively quick. You have to reserve table or wait in the line as the place is quite popular.
Nice enough food, but one arrogant easier overshadowed the nice food and other friendly and helpful staff. He literally tied cutlery across the table at me, made flippant and condescending remarks and when I asked him to remove the discretionary service (because I wanted to leave cashhe demanded to know why. Left a really bad taste in my mouth.
KIN never fails to deliver. The food is amazing, service top notch and atmosphere great. Their menu is vegan friendly too.
Excellent bowl of beef brisket noodles. Pad thai was OK, salt pepper squid lacked taste.
Great pan-Asian restaurant. I sometimes come during lunch and they do take aways for £5 which are great value. This time I came after work about 6pm they were just about to get busy. The service was slow but friendly. Food was very tasty and good value for money. 4 stars in an almost-empty restaurant there were about 5 waiters and yet we had to call / stand up to get attention
Reservation is recommended as it tends to get quite busy here in the evenings. My food was gorgeous: duck springrolls to start with and Prawn Pad Thai for mains washed down nicely with a Thai beer. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Good value for money. No WiFi unfortunately.
