Nice place for variations of egg on toast, avocado, salmon, etc. They also to veeeery fluffy pancakes. Coffee is tasty. Book ahead on their website.

I visited it for a brunch, and they came twice at our table to inform us what we have ordered is finished. We changed the order and after half an hour they came again to tell us that we need to change the order for a 2nd time (!!!). Food was good though.

Very unprofessional! After having waited for 10 mins for them to decide where they can put me to sit, they told me that I have to go because in 40 mins or so, the kitchen would be too busy handling the orders of the reservations. I did not have one. Get your act together, people! Not everything works based on reservations or, if this is your preferred model, say that in advance and do not welcome people to then tell them to go.

I absolutely loved this place ! Everything was just perfect: service, food, ambience, people, all of it ♥️ tried the matcha latte and the golden latte both top. The pork and eggs with guacamole was just on another level ! Super delicious ! And to top it off we had the tiramisu pancake and that was wooooooow. Definitely coming here again :)

Very cool place next to Avenue Louise. Seriously good fluffy pancakes. The menu is worth checking out, nothing to avoid (unless you cant have dairy, I think).Drinks are generous and overall of a great quality too.Large portions and a quick service.Staff speaks English and French.Ideal for breakfast or brunch. Be warned, its a popular place, so go early if you want to sit inside.

Smal, confy..but is youre really hungry and not patient..than go somewhere else.. its very busy..wanted to have lunch..but I had to wait 30 minutes..so I just took only drinks and we left..but the place is ok👌🏾

Absolutely AMAZING place. Probably my favorite brunch spot in the whole city. Love the vibe, that its Asian fusion, love the matcha and pumpkin spice lattes, love the stunning fluffy pancakes, love the avo toast, love the sunny terrace, love everything!Its amazing to go there for a brunch date with your loved one (did it myself a few timesor a friend, to just eat and talk, and then eat a bit more... ❤️

Very good toasts and pancakes. However, note that prices are a bit high but it’s the average nowadays for brunch places. Would definitely recommend!

Staff is decently good, the food is EXCELLENT absolutely delicious pancakes. This cafe has a no phone policy as they promote face to face communication which is very nice for group or small gatherings.

It was such a nice brunch place! I had the best fluffy pancake it was 10/10, definitely reccomend trying the tiramisu fluffy pancake. Also the benedict sandwiches were great! It’s such a cute place, a nice restaurant to have a fulfilling meal. Would definitely come back!

The Benedict dishes are incredible, the fluffy pancakes are one of a kind, the juices were fresh and delicious and the service was friendly and fast!

I expected a lot from this place and in the end left a bit disappointed… but all in all I can’t say I had a bad experience.The servers are a bit lost, we got out food first and then a few min later the drinks, then we got second food order but no utensils, then a server was taking our glasses from the table even though there was still juice in them 😅The food was ok, not so mindblowing that I would come back but ok, nothing to add. i just kind of expected more.

Great place for fluffy Japanese pancakes. I had the crème brûlée chefs version and it was excellently put together. Coffee and iced tea were nice, but it’s the pancakes that you come for. Nice garden outside but it’s in the shade so bring a jacket.

Food is okay but overpriced. Moreover, the service is extremely slow. It took 45 mins before our water arrived at the table and then after our main dish our pancakes never came, had to take them with us as we were already there for 2 hours. A brunch shouldn’t take more than 2 hours.

Bad business practice. They overcharge.. price on the wall for a doppio: 2.7 eur. Charged : 3 euro. Answer to complaints: if you don’t like it, talk to my boss. Place to avoid!

Great selection of eggs Benedict dishes. We can highly recommend the mushroom version as it’s so different and simply so good. The star of the menu are the fluffy pancakes. We had the tiramisu pancakes and they’re one of a kind.Also the coffee and ice tea are very good.Would recommend to reserve in advance as we tried walk ins several times and the restaurant was fully booked on weekends.

Golden and matcha latte were not properly made. They both contained chunks of powder/spices. The fluffy tiramisu pancake looks great but the taste is barely a meh. There is no tiramisu flavor in the cream at all. The pancakes themselves were indeed fluffy as advertised, so I give that a star. Based on this experience I would not recommend.

I had the best pancakes at this place as well as eggs Benedict we got the pork eggs Benedict and the tiramisu pancakes and they were absolute fantastic one of us got an iced latte very good coffee the other one got some sort of special coffee that was a pour over the 60 and he thought it was just OK. The staff were amazing the place was very comfortable we didn’t make use of the backyard seating because it was raining, but if yr covid concerned its a good choice.

Excellent food. Loved the salmon toast and the fluffy melt in the mouth pancake.

- The food tasted good- Lack of flexibility on the menu (can’t trade beef for tofu f.e.)- Only one vegetarian bowl- We booked a table for 1 pm, but there was already no chicken nor beef (reduces dramatically the choices)- As a small place, it was crowded and very noisy.

We had a very bad experience, i spent months trying to reserve at this place to be able to try their famous Fluffy Pancakes, once i finally found a place, we have a set time for reservation, we asked for a place outdoor, they told us to wait so that one tale gets available, once a table was available, they apologized and told us sorry it is a table of 4 we cannot give it to you. So they gave it to the people behind us who arrived later. And we had to wait again. (this is almost understandable, although we had a reservation, and had to schedule our whole plans accordinglyOnce finally seated, we ordered the Menu, which is salty Toasts first, then the Sweet pancakes, there was a mistake with the main salty order, but we did not say anything.Then, we waited for the famous fluffy pancakes, without exaggeration, we waited and waited and waited. We asked 4 times ! if they forgot our order, they told us no, All the tables around us left. And the new tables were receiving there desserts already !!!We literally waited 1 whole HOUR on the clock !! We asked again someone else, they told us no, we asked 4 persons during this hour ! So we gave them a chance every time believing them that they did not forget our order, at the end i had to stand up a second time and they told me sorry we forgot your order we lost your ticket we can offer you a coffee on the house to wait again for the pancakes to arrive !!! We did not have our whole day free to wait for pancakes we dont care about having an extra coffee when we already had a coffee as part of the menu, and to fill our stomach even more before the desserts, this was completely unprofessional and inconsiderate, Worst part we left paying 40 euros and without even having tasted the one thing we came for.

All was good ! I was sceptical first because of the negative reviews, but impressed by the good and tasty food (fresh products and beautiful plate). Its not really a place client-oriented regarding the service (I imagine because it was crowded), but I found it efficient and fast enough (we didnt wait too long for the food). I think this place will be better if well be able to order from our phones (with an app, maybe would be even faster and more modern, for those in a rush). And to cut off some bad reviews : matcha latte, Iced tea and pancakes were VERY good !!! The price is high and not for every wallet, but why not, its a concept after all and unique experience 😉! Thank you Kafei for the pleasant time !

We tried benedicte egg salmon and tiramisu fluffy pancake. It was okay, but not really to my taste. Matcha tea… not to my liking as well. You need to wait even though you have a reservation.

Yum 😋 I came for coffee; and surprised to find such yummy savoy warm food in a chilly afternoon - 5-spice marinated tofu / mushroom over rice. So good! Portion is BIG. And coffee is perfect too 🤩. What a good find!

Karaage warm rice, Gangnam warm rice, Original fluffy pancake, Ice cafe latte, Comfortable cafe, neat interior(inside), cool terrace(outside), friendly staff, convenient transportation...everything is good!

Very tasty ( their eggs are amazingand cosy, they have an inside terrace. Also they work until 5pm without lunch break. We loved everything we tried, pancakes we shared, it was a big portion :)

Tiramisu pancakes are out of this world! As well as the pork Benedict eggs. Highly recommend Kafei!

3.5 starsWent for brunch on Sunday and enjoyed it. The service was really excellent - very attentive and kind. The brunch was very good too, the avocado & salmon toast the best I ever had (a really generous portion too). The fluffy pancakes were nice, wish I’d gone for the fruit ones over the matcha though.The not so good was the matcha late which despite the nice taste was lukewarm and that really spoiled my enjoyment. The other bad thing was that we were seated right next to the bar and I had the coffee machine right at the back of my head. SO LOUD! Add to that the noise from everyone there plus a loud unloading of a dishwasher 🤪

Really nice and cozy place~ delicious fluffy pancakes and chocolate Oreo bingsu (oatmilk based, so there are a couple of vegan options as well), the staff is very friendly and smiley(?). Have only been there once but will surely come back.

I have very mixed feelings about this place... We made a reservation for 9 persons and we sat outside. We ordered our menus and drinks and got warned that the food would take a while because we were a lot of people. Sure, no problem.First disappointment: the homemade iced tea arrives, except that its no tea, its literally water with mint leaves and lemon slices. Just water.Then, around 25 minutes after ordering, the waiter comes with 4 pitaya glasses and tells us that there are not enough pitayas for everyone. He offers to discount 2€ each or to bring us water; we accept the water. Then some main dishes arrive. I chose the benedict eggs with an extra of salmon, without knowing that if you pay extra for the salmon, you dont get the bacon (but bacon is written with the eggs and the salad, so why do you not get bacon if youre paying more?🤷‍♀️).Then the pancakes arrive: very tasty and fluffy. At this point only 3 of our friends have some food and the rest still hasnt even gotten their first dish. Coffees get cold because of the waiting and orange juices arrive last of all.We were in the place for 3.5 hours but we were eating for a total of around 25 minutes. The rest of the time consisted on very long waiting times and waiters going back and forth bringing forgotten things.All in all, the food is great but is not worth the wait. There are places with the same quality and a much more efficient service.

Definitly part of the top 3 matcha latte of Brussels! The food is amazing, and the staff super friendly. I also recommend the Saturday brunch.

Big room for improvements, good potential.I had the pleasure to lunch at Kafei with a friend.Personally I found the service to be not very welcoming and very dry.The temperature in the room itself was quite cold.The bowl with chicken was good, so was the pumpkin latte, and the prices are indeed reasonable.Pity we couldn’t try their famous fluffy pancakes, the main reason we chose the place. Apparently they don’t prepare them before 2pm during the week which I can eventually understand when/if it’s super busy, but they could at least communicate this “rule” to the customers.

My morning quest for breakfast was fiasco here. They have pancakes in the menu, etc, but nothing was available apart from Açaí bowl. Disappointing. Coffee is good though.

Great place for a brunch! Both food and coffee are good.Too bad the tartine with the avo and salmon had a normal egg and not a Bénédicte egg.😔U got to try those fluffy pancakes... "strange" but great! 😎

Wifi password is KAFEI888Food is okayish for less than 10€ but portion is just on the smaller side. It might be enough for ladies (no offense). We wanted to try the renowned pancakes at noon but I was told that Theyre not available before 2 PM which I understand as We need more staff if we want to serve them any time. Too bad.
