Jyoti Restaurant - Indian restaurant in Seongnam-si, South Korea
Solid option and a good lunch deal. It’s not the best Indian food I had, but it’s a great deal for lunch. Friendly service and good wifi & free water. Located on the second floor and easy to find. Lunch meal deal is great with the extensive times: until 2:30! I wish there was a vegan lunch deal.Mushroom option as vegetarian lunch was good. I have heard from other places with refill options that would be great to be honestFlavor could be stronger but I won’t complain too much
Food is incredible and accessible price
Everything was good. Staff was super friendly. Will come back 100% Vegetarian and vegan menu available.
The staff was very nice, and it was a very nice place to dine beacause of good seats and atmosphere. But I found the food to be quite booting. I have not tastes this level of Indian food since my trip to Tokyo.
Its a budget friendly place for everyone. Their samosa chat is amazing. I also loved the tamarind chutney they gave with it. Seriously first place where I could find tamarind chutney.
Not the most authentic Indian food Ive had in Seoul, but the couple set is an absolute steal. 30,000 for samosas, tandoori chicken, curry, rice, naan, AND lassis. You cant beat that.
We tried Biryani and it was not good :D Not worth the money at all. However, interior, staff and location is nice.
Food is always excellent. Huge variety for such a small restaurant. Come at lunch time for a generous lunch special.
Best Indian-Nepali restaurant in Seoul. Must go if you love Indo-Nepal food. Much recommended.
Lovely food, very flavourful, tables are a bit small but no biggie
Super delicious food . One of my favorite Indian restaurants in town. I suggested to visit for authentic and freshly prepared delicious indian cuisine.
Vegan and vegetarian options are good.Price are reasonable. Food quality is top notch.Overall great to try.
Restaurant design and Interior is really nice. Food is delicious and Yummy. If you are looking for Indian Style food, then you should visit in Jyoti Restaurant, Sincheon.
Though foods are great and lassi too.But they are not from Indian origin. They are from Nepal. And there for taste of foods are great. Must try their biryani rice. Their veg items are also good.
The interior was really eye catching. Food was tasty and served with no lag.
The food was amazing. We had aloo gobi, chicken biryani, cheese naan, and garlic butter naan. Definitely makes the top three on my list of favourite Indian restaurants in Korea.
Feast 😋 one of the delicious indian food restaurants in seoul. Biryani here is unique and tasty. They got wide range of menus. So that everytime you can try different items. They also provide food in good quantity~ Much recommended.
This is my and our Indian group favorite restaurant all the time. Best curries ,naan ,tandoori items i ever had this is best and authentic Indiana restaurant consistantly serves high quality food. The price is reasonable ,serves are top.
This restaurant serve high quality of indian and nepali food in Korean with lots of varieties such as halal, vegan, vegetarian to non vegetarian.Price reasonably sound and good services.
It was a nice visit to an Indian restaurant near yonsei university in sinchon for a wholesome desi meal. the only problem was that it was rush hour on a Saturday night and I felt they were understaffed. But it felt nice to see that we have a place to eat good Indian food away from home.
I tried a bit of everything. They have a set where you can get tandoori chicken, curry, nan, rice, salad, and potatoes for 15 bucks! It’s hard to find foreign food that won’t break the bank. I’ve tried different Indian restaurants in Seoul and this place is definitely better than others. You can smell all the beautiful aroma from the spices as you get closer to the restaurant. Super tasty! I really recommend it.
A great place to find Indian cuisine in Seoul! Upstairs on the third floor of the building. Might look like a market from the doors entrance as they sell select foods in the front. Look out for the stairs, theyre next to the restaurant on the first floor and easy to miss if youre not used to buildings like this in Korea.
Jyoti is a lovely place. They have a good set value and I enjoyed their nans and curry but my favorites are the momos! Good lassi as well.
Jyoti is my go to Indian restaurant in Seoul. The food is very delicious, fresh and service has always been up to my satisfaction. I really hope they could partner with food delivery app/services to deliver to restaurants. The seating is ample and I never had to wait to be seated. They do serve Indian beer if you’re interested. Desserts are good as well. Overall a very good place to have a hearty Indian meal in Seoul. Prices have been standard through the last couple of years, it does seem to be a little pricey.
A great Indian restaurant also for kids as they cooked non-spicy versions of otherwise very spicy Indian dishes for them. The set menu is good value for money. Food is tasty and portions are big enough.I must say the food was very good and lots of it, the drinks side was not so good bottled beer when they said they do draft and my wife ordered a gin & tonic but it came with sparkling water. I would recommend for the food only if you are looking for a curry in Seoul.
This is one of the best food joint to get Indian Food. Though, the preparations are done by a Nepalese Chef, they are close to the taste of Indian dishes. The service staff is very courteous and always ready to help you.
Food here was delicious and didnt feel heavy or overly greasy as Indian food often does. Lots of vegetarian options and a whole double page of vegan options which was great. Not too expensive - we spent under 35,000 won for dinner for two people and portion sizes were good.
I was there with my family and we were delighted how easy it was to get vegan options, as they have a special page in the menu with only vegan options.Apart from that all the dishes we ordered were great including the vegan ones and the ones with meat. The owner was very friendly and could speak English. While the alley in which the restaurant is might not seem like a nice environment its very close to the town center and the restaurant itself is really nice with a good food and affordable prices. We paid 60000won for a dinner for 4. The garlic naan and shrimp vindaloo can be especially recommended.
If you are in Sinchon area, this place is a must visit for Indian food. I recommend the butter chicken with naan and also the chicken lollipop!
Indian cuisine is my favorite, I visited this place due the high ratings on google and trip advisor. I have to say I have mixed feelings, I really enjoyed the naan and chana masala. Having said that I was a bit concerned about the general cleanliness and food hygiene. Did it meet my expectation? Not really. Would I visit again? I don’t think so.
My real score is 3.5. The food and atmosphere and staff is ok. The price are reasonable and they have some really good deals. I wouldnt say its worth going to as Im not dying to go back here but if youre looking for something to settle your craving for Indian food, you can opt for this place. Its a clean place with good seating and the food is delivered fairly quickly.
This place stands within the best two tandoori chicken I’ve had in the last year traveling throughout 20 countries, trying Indian food every where we go.Ordered:-Tandoori chicken-Samosas-Dal curry-Vegetable curryEverything was top notch but the starts definitely were Tandoori chicken and Dal curry.Staff is very kind and spoke English helped us out with our selection.Thank you!!
This has got to be the best place for curry in Seoul! Lamb korma and chicken butter masala were amazing. Staff are super friendly and I would highly recommend here to anyone craving authentic curry.
Since I arrived in Seoul, my girlfriend has never stopped from talking about this restaurant and I have to admit it was one of the best Indian restaurant Ive been in Seoul! The employees are, honeslty, foreigners (and Koreansfriendly, the food is delicous (especially the curries!), and the price is totally reasonable. If you want a piece of advice from a guy who has been there twice: go and grap the menu on lunch time, it is totally worth it.
As a vegetarian new to Korea, this was a really nice find. They did have me order rice separately from my korma, which was fine (I got Indian loose rice instead of clumpy Korean style rice, naan was the other obvious option), but was a new style of ordering to me. They understand water better here than any other Korean restaurant Ive been to. They brought a little pitcher along with a bigger glass than water has come in anywhere else. This was my first time here, it was packed when I got here, and Ill definitely be back in the next few days.
A great place for North Indian cuisine, this place was rated as one of the top 20 restaurants on TripAdvisor. The food items here can be quite pricey, but their lunch set is definitely worth it. For 10,000 KRW, you get a mango salad, two large pieces of naan, a serving of butter chicken, potatoes, a portion of rice, and a cut of lassi. Considering most of their items such as the curries are meant more for sharing, the lunch set is especially good if you are eating alone. Staff here are friendly and proficient in both Korean and English. Food wise, I felt as a Singaporean that the taste could have been stronger, but that may be a good thing for some who are not used to the strong flavours of Indian cuisine. Nonetheless, the flavours were good and it is worth an occasional treat as a respite from the standard fare of Korean food here.
Has a separate vegetarian/vegan menu in addition to their full menu. Great options! Food was very tasty. Only downside was everything seemed like it had the same level of spiciness, which was a bummer for my kid who doesn’t like spicy food.I would eat there again.
Really tasty food! The sets are a great value for the amount you get. More than enough for 2 people.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Seoul!
Delicious Indian foods! Mildly spicy but so flavorful, reccomend!
Probably the best Indian food in Seoul in terms of flavor and portion size. Really good.
The food here is absolutely amazing - if you like traditional Indian food, it has it all. And for those who are looking to explore into different Indian treats, the appetizer / small portions have plenty of things to try out. Overall the quality is great and the prices are more than reasonable - especially when you compare this place to the other Indian restaurants in Seoul. Its my first choice for Indian food. No competition.
Jyoti is by far the best Indian food Ive had in Korea and thats no easy feat because Ive eaten at a lot of Indian restaurant here. The service is great and there is a lot of food. They recently opened a third branch but I have not had a chance to visit that one yet but I can definitely vouch for there restaurant in Sinchon. The best.
I enjoy eating in this restaurant. If i am bored with korean food this restaurant is the best option for me. This restaurant offer healthy food. And i really love the curry that is very delicious that has a strong taste. And many other kind of indian food like chicken tandoori, samosa, and nan that i like to eat with the curry. The comfy atmosphere of the restaurant make my feast even better to enjoy.
There was a warm atmosphere that started with the kind staff. My wife and I had # 2 on the set menu. The tandoori chicken was mouth watering, loved the green sauce that was served with it, I am sorry I do not know the name of it. My wifes favorite was the chicken butter masala with the garlic naan. I washed it all down with a kingfisher or two. Over all it was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish.
Delicious Indian food. Takeout came pretty quick and was hot still. Great flavors. Love the naan, soft and light tasting.
Such incredible food for a inexpensive price. The servings are large and delicious.
The food is so tasty and real Indian flavor. The price is so reasonable. The waitress is always smiling and she is there whenever you want her. The only thing about Jyoti Restaurant is that there is no elevator since its in the 3rd floor.
There version of a roti. Is a wholemeal fajita wrap. Apart from that unfortunate situation the food is great.
This place serves excellent food with just the right amount of flavor and spice. They got some of the best Indian foods in the area and it never gets tiring to keep coming here.Never disappoints. Love their food, excellent location and nice staff.I have to say, that was the BEST Chicken I have had in a LONG time! The flavor of the masala was perfect, the spiciness was perfect, and the chicken had been carefully marinated (not just tossed into the curry at the last minute). The food also wasnt oily, which was a good sign! All in all, I recommend this restaurant with the maximum stars because they deserve it. Someone once asked me that what was their formula for success. I said,"Fresh good tasting food at a very reasonable price".THIS IS ONE YOU CANT MISS !!!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
