Jyoti Indian Restaurant - Indian restaurant in Seongnam-si, South Korea
5 to 10 min walk from Exit 1 of Chungmuro Subway Station, within walking distance of Namsangol Hanok Village (which is near Exit 4 of the same subway station). Halal-certified. There is a 2 page vegan menu with no meat, milk, or butter (not to be confused with the tea / beverage / lassi menu at the bottom of the page, which contains dairy). Tasty and not greasy! The curries have a little flame below to keep the food hot throughout the meal.- Aloo Gobi- Dal Tadka- Chapati Roti
The food here was verryyy good!! Very authentic and delicious. Ate here 3 times during my vacation. I would say its one of the best Indian food I have ever had.
Great Indian food! some of the best Tandoori Chicken Ive had :)
Top quality food with an economical restaurant that I have come across in Seoul.
One of the best Indian restaurant in Seoul! Indians work and cook here, so I can only recommend that place.
One of the most delicious Indian restaurants I’ve ever eaten at
Delicious
Delicious and freshly prepared food. My favorite good all the time. Strongly suggested to try.
Good restaurant
Jyoti Authentic Indian Cuisine served vegetarian and vegan as we.Incredible places .Must visit. Located chungmuro station line 3 and 4. Exit 1 and behind the Sk gas station.
This is the best Indian food restaurant in Seoul. The food here is authentic, delicious and presented amazingly and the ambience, service is outstanding ( 🙂🤗thank you jaspreet). Ive eaten here multiple times and tried a variety of dishes. This place is a must especially if youre a vegetarian .
Had a tasty lunch here. The food is authentic Indian and it was a wonderful experience here. Worth the money.
Very delicious food with A LOT OF OPTIONS to choose from. Loved every bit of it plus very kind and hospitable staff! Definitely going there again 🥰🥰
Great Ambiance and food. This is the only place so far where i got PANIPURI. I love the variety of dishes they provide. Strongly recommended for people who love Indian Food.
I felt like eating at my Home, so good and delicious dinner prepared by chef chabby Lal.
It was good. Ii had the place to myself which was somewhat boring. Ordered chicken Tikka masala, rice and garlic Naan. I have to say the masala tasted almost like spaghetti sauce. It was still good, just not what I was expecting.
Had mushroom matar and chapati with soup. Food is really good and people are very warm and kind. Strongly recommend the restaurant. And will eat pani puri and vada next time☺️
Food is very tasty with lot of options and reasonable price. Must visit this place to enjoy Indian food.
I m regular customers of jyoti since long time.As an Indiana living in Korean, you can guess how much im missing Indiana food however jyoti makes me feel like eating at home.Authenticity, freshness, taste, diversity of food are available. street food pani puri, samosa chat, roti are available.Halal , vegan is also available.
This is an amazing place whichserve high quality of indian and nepali food in Korean with lots of varieties such as halal, vegan, vegetarian to non vegetarian.Price reasonably sound and good services.
Authentic Indian taste, cant say about all indian outlet. The chef is from Nepal. This is the second indian restaurant in Seoul where the chef is actually from Nepal. I ordered Thali for 1 and liked almost every item - garlic naan, chicken tikka, palak paneer, dhaniya chatni was very nice. Rice quality in general in Seoul has not been great so it was average. Lassi could be better but was promptly replaced. Portion is more than sufficient for one person and is priced reasonably well. Inside ambience and soothing Indian music makes the experience nicer. The entrance stairways can be improved further. Overall, recommended place for Indian food in Seoul.
Very friendly staff and the meal was good. we almost didnt go inside as the outside of the building and surrounding areas looks very very run down and dodgy. we decided to give it a go because it got really good reviews, by a lot of people. We wouldnt go back because the curries had very little flavour and no spice. It was practically a bland tomato soup, which was a shame. The decor is interesting and enjoyable and they use nice serve-ware.
Best Indian restaurant, the staff is very polite and nice. And the food is delicious.
If you are looking for authentic indian dishes with larger varieties such as veg to non vegetarian, halal to vegan, this place with 2 more branches are best choices. Open 365 days, good for individuals, groups as well as party events with advanced booking.
Good restaurant taste same like india
One of the best Indain resturant we been here in Seoul. Very authentic and the taste superb. If you are cravings for an indian resturant then you must try visiting Jyoti.
Had excellent Vegan food at this restaurant! An entire 2 pages of just vegan food that tasted exactly like meat curries. And very well priced. Would highly reccomend for vegans and non vegans alike, some of the best indian Ive had in Seoul!
One of the best Indian restaurants in korea.Curries are spicier than other restaurants which makes sense. For single person lunch set options are available which is very convincing.Overall great place, do visit.
Im not sure why the other ratings are so brilliant. We had to wait really long for the food, the taste was ok, the service was absolutely unfriendly and the prices are compared to other restaurants and the quality too high (appr. 15,000 KRW/p.).
This is a great Place. Truly good Indian food. The whole family loved it and especially the vegetable pakoras and the shrimp vindaloo were great. It was so good we went there twice in a 5day vacation. In comparison to other restaurants in Seoul it is also a great deal in terms of value for money.
Really good affordable Indian Restaurant which also serves vegan food. Staff was friendly.
Reasonable but not great. It was obviously microwave heated before serving. The service was nothing to be excited about too
One of the best and authentic indian restaurant in Seoul. Many vegetarian options available to choose from.Service is really good and prompt.I like the way they serve the curry on candle flame. The aloo pulav (patato riceis a must try.
Very good value for what you pay for. Thali set was tasty and also huge enough to satisfy my big belly. Friendly staff also a big plus!
Another hidden gem (located on the 2Fwith a comfortable casual atmosphere. Delicious flavours with dishes cooked to perfection made this meal great value for money! Would highly recommend if you are in this part of Seoul.
tried Jyoti on a whim based on other reviews -- very good, glad we tried it. It is located in a small side street but worth finding. Very reasonable, very friendly staff (actually there was only one guy - waiter, bar tender, bus - handled it all).
Amazing Indian food. My girlfriend and I each got the 1 person Thali set and it was A LOT of food. Too much to finish! Quality didn’t suffer. Highly recommend!
I loved the food here.Usually the restaurant is open till 11PM. Last 8 days they kept it open till 12:30 AM for me as I come late. huge respect for customers, amazing & very polite staffs , amazing service indeed, . A must visit place. Thanks everyone .. keep up the great service..
Real Indian atmosphere and great Indian food!
Nice hotel, run by indian people. Food qaulity is really INDIAN. Just visit this place if you miss India in south korea, seoul. They have reasonable rates with quality food and variety. We had plain lassi, samosa, chapati, mix veg sabzi and veg pakoda....
Really nice place with hospitable staff. Food was off the charts. A must visit for Indians and non Indians as well. Really accessible and right next to one of the best universities in Seoul. I loved the food. Will definitely visit again.
Its really good places to have dinner. Especially the naan bread and the dippy things~ cool indian ambience tho
Best Indian Thali at reasonable price in Seoul
Foods are of good quality but not all of them are best. Some items can be improved. Overall I will rank it as good one.
Excellent Indian food, very reasonable prices !! Order the Thali at 15000KRW, includes Choice of Starter ( Chicken Tikka 4pc or Veg Pakora 4 piece or 2 piece Tandoori ChickenNon Veg/Veg curry (choice of butter chicken, Veg Makhani, Palak Paneer), Dal, Choice of Naan(Plain/Butter/Garlic/Chapatthi), Salad, Korean Rice. Worth the money and such tasty food. A life saviour for Indians!!
This place is delicious. My favourite Indian restaurant in Seoul. Naan is amazing. This place is slightly cheaper than my second favourite Indian restaurant in Itaewon.
One of the few places I found a menu in English that made it much easier to order. Food pretty good but not exceptional. Quiet place - except for the Indian dance music blaring from the TV.
several patrons of the restaurant were from india, which was a good sign. food was exceedingly fresh and the menu include authentic indian not typically found at other indian restaurants.
Food was delicious... You should try lassi here.. Place was clean and not so noisy.. People were friendly... Service wasnt that late even though there were not enough staffs during chuseok holidays... If you love Indian and Nepalese taste.. This place will certainly satisfy you.
I saw jyoti restaurant in the top list of trip advisor so i went their to give a try cuz i really love indian food alot. I went their with my friends and had samosa, 3 curries , nan and tandori. Everything was super delicious. Jyoti really deserve to be in the top list of indian restaurant.I highly recomend everyone to visit that place if you like indian food.
