Juvia in Miami Beach
Description
Privilege
This is an amazing rooftop restaurant in Miami Beach. We got very lucky being seated right next to the edge on a full moon night -- the view was gorgeous the whole dinner! Were pescatarian and there was still plenty of fish and vegetarian options for us to try. The Virgin Pina Colada was pretty but tasted like pineapple juice. The tuna cake appetizer (spicy tuna crispy ricewas really good. My husband LOVED his shrimp entre (Sweet and Sour Grilled U6 Shrimpwith huge pieces of shrimp. My Ahi Tuna dish was also decent. Honestly the experience was the best part. I personally wish the music was a little less loud, but the DJs selection was great. Overall great dinner, but expect to have a very big bill (automatic 18% gratuity, probably ~$100/person meal).
MoreA combination of the rooftop, live music, and a selection of fresh seafood with great wine paring, left an incredible impression on my experience. The international staff makes it a memorable service. I thought the price was a little on the higher side of the level of service. overall great place for a romantic getaway.
MoreNever disappoints. Milosh (sp?Is a fantastic server and took amazing care of us. Was a wonderful night, and dessert was to die for!
MoreGreat apps but the main courses were served Luke warm with no special requests accommodated (no cilantrohad to send it back. Food not worth the price. Beautiful venue. We asked for our table to be wiped down 3 times and they kept coming back with a rag that didn’t clean anything. Great view. I will never go back
MoreJulia is a rooftop restaurant. Love the scenery. Food is kind of expensive but it tastes great. You must try this place if you are in the area.
MoreOne of the best French Asian food that you will have it in Miami, great service, amazing drinks and the view is wonderful.
MoreHORRIBLE. My reservation was set for 9:30pm I arrived at 9:15 they had me wait 45 minutes to be seated allowing several other people to be seated in front of us who arrived after me even though they claimed they “seat on first arrival” . My party of 2 was finally seated BUT inside which it was COLD and LOUD I asked the manager to be seated outside as there had been open tables and again we were skipped. They were not not accommodating so I decided to leave & being that I am a person of COLOR I felt this was prejudice. I would not recommend!!!
MoreThe food, I think, surpasses the vibe. The trendy club-ish atmosphere underlies how delicious and well executed the food is.
MoreGreat restaurant with an amazing rooftop view and even better menu offering
1 star for the rooftop thats all. the menu was not worth the price. we took the trouble in advance to write an email to the restaurant staff to make sure that some people in our group who were vegans and vegetarians could be accommodated, which had been accepted without problem. once there, none of the 3 starters were vegetarian, except for one of them which was replaced by a bowl of lettuce. For dessert, the vegetarian option was a simple scoop of sorbet. No price adjustment has been made for this. in addition, one person in our group who was fatally allergic to nuts was served a salad with pine nuts on top (actually, a simple lettuce with pine nuts and oil as a garnish). the waitress insisted that it was not nuts but rather seeds and therefore that there was no problem. We had to insist that the dish be withdrawn… it is irresponsible and unacceptable for such a restaurant not to take this kind of constraint seriously in 2022. we expressed our dismay to the manager, and we were simply said it was restaurant policy…. Very disappointing…
MoreExcellent service, location and food. They have a set menu which provides good value with some great options.
MoreOne of best restaurants I have been to in south miami , it was for sure one of the highlights of my vacationMade reservations online when I got there we were seated inside , asked the friendly hostess if we can be seated outside , she gave us a beautiful table with a view of MiamiThe food was excellent and the view was amazingThe service was excellent, the waitress helped us out with the menu and was really friendly.A must go stop even if just for drinks
MoreWe dined at Juvias rooftop restaurant and absolutely loved everything. The food is expensive but worth it. We had the spice fixed price menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were stunning and also fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and we felt very taken care of. I’ve seen complaints that the music was too loud. I didn’t find that at all. It added to the outdoor ambience. There is a DJ which makes it even more eclectic and different. He read his crowd perfectly and played mixed music that catered to his audience. Very talented. It was just loud enough that we could hear one another but not other peoples conversations. The view is spectacular. We started at 7:00 and we didn’t feel rushed at all to leave after sunset. It was a perfect evening that we soon won’t forget.
MoreI’ve always wanted to Dina Julia, and tonight was the night I made it happen. It was such a magical experience. The energy and this place are unbelievable. On a roof top, but yet it’s so intimate. We had outstanding service from Katie, she was very attentive and kind and made us feel like we were on the red carpet. Highly recommend.
MorePretty scenery. Terribly overpriced. $6 glass of diet coke. Drinks are all watered down. Food was tasty. Lots of options for every type of person. Just be ready to drop a bag.
MoreVery nice rooftop restaurant…. It was a very pleasant day to listen to saxophone and enthusiastic singer in the rooftop restaurant… 🍧🍣🥗🍾 try it out !
MorePicturesque view of Miami’s sunset followed by smorgasbord of dishes for my boy’s bachelor party.we went with the crispy pork belly, spicy tuna crispy rice, and grilled octopus to start. Shared an order of the 26oz tomahawk steak special, and then I had the seafood pasta as my entree.Foley Johnson Cabernet Sauvignon paired well with all these dishes. Great time with Juvia!
MoreBottomless BrunchGrilled Salamon w salad, Sweet n Sour grilled shrimpLychee martini, Cosmopolitan, Dry Martini
MoreSerious rooftop dining experience. Expert friendly service. Pasta was fresh, needed more sauce (menu said was lobster bisquebut was tasty. Best part of dinner was the view of South Beach and dining with friends and family. Expensive.
MoreMaking reservations here is a joke for 2 people. Even if you request outside you cant get a seat for your reservations. Then they put you inside but wont let you sit next to thw window because its reserved for 4 or more and those seats didnt even get taken before we finished the meal, Its ridiculous. Our server was good, the meal was ok, and the drinks were good. Just an overpriced view and a usless reservations system that doesnt even work for a party of 2. Word of advice, put a few 2 chaired tables by the outside railing and by the glass window. Definitely wouldnt recommend for couples. More than 4 you should be good.
MoreExcellent food here and crazy good atmosphere. The view from this place is amazing and the food is phenomenal. The Salmon and Sea Bass are exquisite standouts feom my trip here and Tres Leches was fantastic for dessert. Highly recommended. Food and atmosphere are some of the best in Miami.
MoreBeautiful rooftop with great ambiance and excellent dishes! Their truffle ceviche was top notch!
MoreLaid back vibe. The food was good. The view was amazing. Service was great. Def a date night vibe. Its beautiful
MoreThis place is spectacular! Offering the very best views, amazing food, drink and great service. Perfect for private events.
MoreWe havent been to Juvia since 2013! It was very good and service was excellent. We had the fixed price sunset menu. FYI, they dont promote this...you have to ask for the menu..it is $49 with a welcome glass of prosecco, starter(choice of three), entree (choice of threeand dessert. We had the pork belly and Greek salad to start, the skirt steak, and the chicken, and they brought out a passion fruit drink as it was my birthday...fun night!
MoreGreat service, extensive menu options, rooftop views.Food was “ok”. The price seemed excessive considering the speed at which it came out and the quality. Our waiter was very knowledgeable but seemed rushed despite many free tables. The outdoor seating is more favourable, a bit more of a vibe.It was an average experience, and I probably wouldn’t pay $30 for an appetizer here again.I had a whiskey sour which was beautifully made.
MoreThe food was really good . The appetizers are better than main food tho. The wagyu guioza and the ceviche got all the stars , extremely tasty!
MoreAmazing experience! We went out for my husband’s birthday. We got lucky enough to get a table inside with a good view. Our server’s name was Kate and special thanks to her for making our night unforgettable! The food tasted great and everything came out on time. I’ve requested a special surprise for my husband’s birthday to have glasses of champagne and a desert with a candle delivered to our table and Kate made it perfect! Definitely will recommend this place to our friends.
MoreThe place is in rooftop 9th floor and the view is spectacular. The food is delicious and the service was great.. thanks Sabrina
MoreI was looking for a rooftop bar/ restaurant! Juvia is a great location! Beautiful views, great ambience, great music! As we were waiting for our table to be ready, we stood at the bar and had some drinks to start. They have a lot of signature cocktails to chose from! I chose a strawberry mojito, my boyfriend got “monkey business” both delicious cocktails!Service was exceptional throughout our experience! We got sat down outside, which is in my opinion the best experience since we are on the rooftop! We ordered the tuna tartare appetizer to share, which was delicious; so fresh, full of flavor, different textures! Highly recommend!!I ordered the salmon dish, my boyfriend got the steak-both were amazing! For dessert we ordered the “hazelnut ravioli” this was such a unique, creative and delicious dessert that would be so worth going back for!I would highly recommend this restaurant for date night, a special occasion or just to go out! I also suggest to make a reservation online before hand! Enjoy!!
MoreBetter than expected. Busy Saturday night, noisy as pointed out by other reviewers, but not overbearingly. Generous portions, all of the dishes we had were well prepared. Service was good, but not great.
MoreJuvia is a "must do" when I am in Miami. We were celebrating birthdays and the fine dining experience did not disappoint. The service and food were excellent and the view from the rooftop was amazing. Highly recommend.
MoreFive star restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, and opulent atmosphere and wonderful food. We celebrated a birthday outside and a DJ played an eclectic range of all the classics while admiring the rooftop view. The staff were attentive and we had an enjoyable time.
MoreLike most reviews stated, the view is amazing. That is it. Everything else is below standard even for an average restaurant, and this place is EXPENSIVE!Most of the mixed drinks have an insane amount of ice, I had the “glamour” and the “purple juvia” and they were both a glass overflowing with ice. Tasty drink, but as it’s outdoors if you don’t drink it within minutes it’s just flavored water. The appetizers were tasty but expensive and small, typical. My sea bass and baby broccoli was inedible. It was as if someone has poured a bunch of liquid smoke on the broccoli, or had burnt olive oil on them. After eating the mouthful of the liquid smoke it made the whole rest of the meal inedible. Very unpleasant experience…The rest of the food was adequate, the risotto was very good. The restaurant very clearly wants to rush people out so they can seat more people, constantly coming over to ask if we were finished, and reminding us that the “restaurant requests we put our orders in as soon as we are ready” right as we were being seated. Not a warm welcome when we’ve come for a special occasion. Well over $300 for 3 people, and overall not an enjoyable experience.2 stars for the view.
MoreFood and service at Juvia were stellar, we had a fantastic night! Split the calamari ceviche, gyoza, and burrata and all were stellar. 4 stars because while the drinks tasted great, they were weak. For a $20 cocktail, I expect it to be better.
MoreBeautiful Views, great atmosphere and food presentation. That’s about it.Unfortunately the food is tasteless, the drinks weren’t great, the service extremely slow and inattentive. Parking is hard and they don’t offer valet. The bill for 5 people was almost $800 as they include the tip, as well as a high tax I haven’t seen before anywhere else 🧐 we don’t mind the high price if there’s quality to match, but that was definitely not the case.We will not be coming back.
MoreTrendy place with nice food and average cocktails. Nice looking and tasting food and appetizers, good selection of wine.
MoreAbsolutely stunning views!! Had an amazing brunch here- great bottomless drinks, delicious food and good service! Will be back for sure.
MoreCame to try Miami Spice menu with friends. Great selection of wood. It started to rain very heavy and our table was getting wet so they accommodated us to a better table with more space.Highly recommend for special night out.
MoreThe combination of delicate, with dim light, good music background, and the great view makes this place unique, the perfect room for a date. The summer lychee is one of the best options to start. The staff is nice, give excellent recommendations and very competent. The deliciousness of the food is undeniable plus the beautiful presentation. I had the pleasure to try a Pan seared tenderloin, and certainly can say: the best I have tried so far. The first impression didnt disappoint, the consistency, softness, the flavor, simply the best. Then to finish I couldnt resist the strawberry cheesecake and a delicious cappuccino. No doubts, this restaurant became one of my Miami top 10 list.
MoreWe tried the Miami Spice menu , so it wasnt that expensive but we have to get some burgers after because it was really small, 2 people $130 with the cheapest menu plus only 1 cocktail. The place is really cool nice and a beauty view, the dj and music good too. Thats all.
MoreNice ambiance but I was not impressed with the food. Had to take back the sea bass. Overcooked and too much soy. Drinks were very good. We sat outside and had great views. Service was excellent. Beautiful people around.
MoreI had the best time of my life!!! The atmosphere is amazing! The food is excellent!! You cant visit Miami Beach without making reservations here.
MoreFriend and I had dinner here on a Wednesday night. The view - rooftop seating for an 8:30 dinner was perfect choice. The heat has died down. The view was spectacular. The sunset, the ocean, the buildings and it all slowly turned to night and lights. Amazing. The atmosphere- such a great vibe. Ducks floating in the little pools. DJ playing an amazing mix of songs.Food - superb. Great size portions (not too big, not too small). Flavors are fantastic. We shared pork belly appetizer, I had the most amazing sea bass. And for dessert - hazelnut ravioli.Service - this was the only thing that could be better. I’ve waited around for water refill for ages. The wine bottle brought out was wrong one so we had to wait for the correct one. And empty drink glasses sat around for a while. Our waitress was wonderful but for such a cool upscale place, just need to step up a notch. Will definitely be back though next time I’m in Miami.
MoreUnbelievable views and fantastic service. Food was good but nothing to rave about. We had the spicy tuna with crispy rice but the rice wasnt very crispy (shouldve been called chewy rice). The mountain of truffle tries was delicious, drinks are expensive and not very strong. Still its definitely worth coming its a beautiful venue.
MoreNice rooftop with great city views but a bit pricey. The food was was pretty good. The drinks not so much. For appetizers, I’d recommend the ceviche and the sashimi. For an entry, I’d highly recommend the sea bass. It was incredible. However, I wouldn’t recommend any of their specialty drinks. They’re packed with ice and definitely not worth the price tag. They do have a full bar, so I’d order off the menu.
MoreGreat place for insta photos but not so great for food and price. We got the bottomless brunch, which seemed great since you could get mimosas, margaritas or aperol spritz. The variety was appealing but after 6 drinks each, we realized they were watered down and none of us were even close to getting lit. Paying $35 to drink a ton of sugar and be relatively sober was disappointing. You also had to order an entree with the bottomless.... The food was pretty good but paying an additional $35 for a small piece of salmon annoyed me to no end. And that was a medium priced entree.I would not recommend the beef katsu (dry and bland). The mussels and seared tuna were the best items we gotWe left hungry and sober, but we did take a couple cute photos and enjoyed the rooftop view.
MorePretentious place, and not as good as photos make it seem. We made reservations for a table, and had to wait literally 50 minutes to be seated. It’s trying to establish a level of exclusivity by making you wait all night, for a simple reservation made through Open Table. It had us rolling our eyes and chuckling at the absurdity. Other parties had to wait as well, so it wasn’t just us.My husband ordered a drink from the bar, and received an incorrect one by mistake. He ordered one of their bourbon-based cocktails from their menu, and somehow received a margarita. We told the bartender of the mistake in a nice way, and he pulled his mask down and snapped at us that next time, we need to speak up and say the whole name of the drink clearly, because he heard margarita. Uh, okay. Not the best customer service, especially when we didn’t have an attitude to inspire such rudeness. It was reflective of the stereotypical rude city vibe that this entire place embodies. Part of the whole experience to get to see the view, and feel important by getting to breathe the air of entitled nobodies.Right before we were about to give up and leave, one of the hostesses came up to us at the bar. She confirmed the name on our reservation in a hushed tone, keeping her iPad discreetly hidden (as if we snuck in somehow, and were planning to steal someone else’s reservation, like Tina Fey and Steve Carell in Date Night). We finally got seated at our table and tried to order drinks and dessert, and were told that tables are only for a full dinner experience. We were told that we needed to move and maybe find a seat at the bar, if available. It was close to 10:00 pm, so that seemed like a strange rule to be expected to have dinner so late. However, at this point we were not surprised by more absurdities. We were also charged $10 for water that we thought was complimentary, so they definitely get you to pay for absolutely everything. We got lucky and found a spot at the bar outside to order dessert, with a better view than we had at the table anyway. We enjoyed the view of the city and the people watching. The presentation of the drinks and desserts is nice, but it’s nothing so spectacular to deal with the long wait and rude staff. It’s more of a place to see one time and then never again. It’s a super extra place with too much negative energy to have a good time.
MoreWas honestly a little hesitant to dine here because of some of the reviews I’ve read but our experience was AMAZING! We made a reservation for 7 pm and got seated right away. Our server (I think his name was Bart or Markwas incredibly attentive and so nice and recommended lots of great things. Our drinks came out within minutes and our food was out quickly as well and was delicious! The views are amazing and the DJ was great! Will definitely come back next time we’re in Miami.
MoreJuvia was a wonderful birthday treat! The views alone are enough to make a reservation. But please dont stop there. The food was Incredible and oddly filling for such small portion sizes. I enjoyed the truffle risotto and my date, the salmon and neither disappointed!!! Our service was immaculate and even our request to change tables was honored almost immediately. Please dont just take my word for it though, go and experience it for yourself!!
