Popped over from Sheffield and had a brilliant nights sleep, and the desk staff were lovelyVery fancy looking bar on the 1st floor, generally great looking hotel

Nice friendly staff good service and value for money

Expensive room, £90 and theyve introduced a £6 charge for parking.Disappointed that residents bar closed at midnight, just before we arrived back. So no chance of a nightcap

I mainly go here every week to take my little one swimming lessons. What a brilliant place this is for that. The pool is nice and warm, the staff are so friendly especially the chap who is on reception on a Saturday in the spa and fitness bit... always end up chatting to him for half an hour every time we go. The place has a gym which I havent used, sauna, jacuzzi, everything you would expect to be honest and the parking if you are using the facilities is free behind a barrier, so I have never had any issues with parking! Will continue to come back here. Highly recommended!

Nice hotel. Initially I was accidentally given a room which hadn’t had housekeeping completed. Staff couldn’t have been more apologetic and immediately changed me to a very nice suite by way of apology.Hotel is a short walk from bars and restaurants.

Rooms decent condition but no aircon so was roasting during my visit, walls a bit thin as the lady next door was having a rare old time :).Very close to the city centre so a bit of traffic noise and sometimes a bit of noise when the pubs kicked out but nothing too major and to be expected in a town centre.Gym facilities on site but I didnt have stuff with me so didnt try it out but looked pretty decent.

Stayed here few times for birthdays and 1years anniversary... never disappoint.. the spa and swimming nice part been in there also.. never tried the restaurant but for sure will in near future..Wanting to book room for bridal party to get ready for my day soon. Cant wait to stay again..

Firstly the hotel is very clean and very friendly but Id like to thank the manager I wish Id got his name and all the staff for your help and much more . They were brilliant and made me feel so safe I cant imagine what would have happened without you cant thank you enough Id stay there again and maybe this time enjoy the amazing facilities they had to offer 5 stars and the rest from me xxxx hope to see you soon

Service at dinner. Pre ordered 24 hours before but had to wait 45 minutes for our starters. Main meal was 35 minutes later, dessert another 25 minutes after dinner plates were cleared. Here on a coach holiday. When most people questioned why the long wait,we were told it would be worse the next night because more people would be in. Bar prices extortionate £15 for a pint of lager and a glass of wine.Most staff very polite and over worked except for one who was very rude.Would not recommend this hotel for evening meals breakfast buffet style and well cooked

Great hotel,even managed to get Gluten Free bread with my breakfast.Staff looked after us well.Downside was 40 miles from Newcastle where our weekend event was being held.Not the fault of the hotel.Definitley recommend it.

If you dont pay the £18 for air con they put you in a room with a locked window.

Very happy with room but dissatisfied with dinner.hard melon to start with.ordered macaroni which we couldnt eat.pure stodge.

Probably one of the worst experience, will never be staying there again. Spent a week in that hotel.. problems:1- Bathroom wasnt cleaned from previous guest, used soap still there. The sink wasnt wiped either, it was clear, all mucky.2- The bedroom was never tidied up on a daily basis, or the option wasnt provided3 - The restaurant: breakfast good but dinner was really bad. Example is I ordered a gem salad and a what they did was they cut a small whole lettuce in half and just put it.on a plate and saw on it. Its like.. "come on, ridiculous". And mostly rotten.Safe to stay wont be staying again.

Attended a First Aid course, the hotel is very clean, good size meeting room, tea/coffee and biscuites provided.

Lovely staff and breakfast buffet.Good shared areas.Individual rooms could use an uplift.Very weird no fridges in room. They have one at reception you can use but that does not seem like the safest option.

Wasnt impressed with the cleanliness of our eroom at all, super dodgy people lingering around the hotel.My family wasnt settled here so e actually checked out the next day.I think they have a serious improvements to be made

I came to this facility to receive my venepuncture training over the course of two days. The hotel was immaculately clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. When I have training sessions scheduled, I do look forward to going. :)

Its ok. A little worn but not bad. Food selection in the restaurant is limited. But nice. Main gripe is car park being so small, however you can park in the ncp for £6 per night.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly but the bedrooms could do with redecoration, especially the en-suites.

Stayed recently for the second time. Reception staff fine pool and jacuzzi great..room cosy. My main issue was the staff at breakfast who were rude and obnoxious. Chef making digs about me putting food on my plate, well it is breakfast!!! As its all you can eat (apparentlybuffet style I thought Ill try some things I havent had before some I liked some I didnt. So there was some things left and the girl clearing my stuff gave me rude eye ball looks. I then tried to take a yogurt and some Nutella to my room and was stopped saying Im not allowed cos I apparently wasnt been respectful or considerate to other guests and not leaving other guests food to eat when in reality I hadnt had that much. When I complained after breakfast, the breakfast manager then called me and it was clear that the whole thing was over two yogurts. I got no apologies or no compensation what so ever so on day two I decided to go elsewhere for breakfast. All other facilities in the hotel were great but this breakfast experience really put a downer on my stay. And Im a level three member of the jurys chain. Never before have I been treated so bad by staff in this chain.

The room I was given (219 if anyone from management is interested). It was disgusting, grime everywhere. Someone elses hair all round the sink. Sink itself was blocked and the tap was broken. I complained and was given a new room. The new room was an improvement, but none of the lamps worked (room 708 of management is interested). I gave 2 stars because at least the staff were nice

Stayed overnight while joining a family wedding in the area! Room was clean, warm and quiet (great nights sleep).Breakfast was delicious, staff were so friendly. Special mention for Stephen who made us feel so welcome. Free parking, loads of teabags and milk in the room!! Really can’t say much more.Thank you.

Booked to see in new year with children. Arrived late only to find hairs in beds and remote for TV so dirty you could no longer see colour of remote under dirt. Manager showed us 3 other rooms to move too but they were just as unhygienic. Blood Stains under pillow case.. Hairs from someones shaving on floor. Breakfast was awful. Looked and tasted like it was just reheated. Left it and checked out would not stay there another minute

I love staying here.The staff are incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble.I am always back and forward to the reception just for the goodies they have. Crisps chocolate etc. What more could a girl want.They always look after you here and it is so clean and comfortable.They supply hairdryer shampoo and body wash so thats a plus when travelling.Thank you lovely staff. You are the people that make the jury inn.

Stayed overnight on 20th November. Quick check in and our room was well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was self service but very good. Would certainly stay here again.

A great place to stay only a few minutes away from the town. Very clean n tidy. Friendly staff and a good breakfast bar.

Clean room, good air con, shower worked well, although the bathroom was in need of a refresh. Happy staff, good menu, nice casual spa.

The beds are comfortable and the sheets are clean but the up keep and maintenance of the rooms is not so great. Mouldy baths and inoperable lights to name but 2 issues. Middlesbrough doesn’t have too many great places to stay but I would have thought Jury’s Inn would have been a bit more polished

Honestly not the best experience Ive had. The bathroom smelt of cigarettes smoke and we booked a none smoking room. Then when we went to sleep there was a draft and whistle nosie that kept us awake all night and cold. They provided us with one cup to share for tea and no coffee only decaf. When we complained to reception there were apologetic but offered nothing but an apology and thank you for informing me... Slightly disappointed in that.Ill stay at the premium inn across the road next time probably cheaper too.

Room clean. Food lovely apart from we book a family staycation package and there wasnt a suitable menu for us. No water, biscuits on arrival to room as per deal we booked.No one knew what package we booked so had to mix and match off menus.Staff friendly.Especially a lady called Sarah who was absolutely amazing and made our night thank you.

Arrived on time. Error with booking due to the booking.com Matthew one of the managers sorted out the problem. Was attentive the whole time. Breakfast selection fantastic, something for everyone even fussy little eaters. One night stay. Great location. Staff a great credit to the Jurys Inn. Thankyou especially to Matthew.

We stayed at the 8th floor which was very awful the cigarettes smell was everywhere, bathroom was not very clean. Traces of hair was behind the bathroom door.If you planning to visit the gym think twice as it’s absolutely disgusting and the shower/ changing room are very dirty.Be aware of gym/pool opening hours as it’s not very clear when can it be used.Overall it’s not a nice hotel to stay.

A premium hotel at a budget price was the attraction for this stopover. The Separate parking area is accessed via a barrier but costs an additional £5 per night. Check in easy but lacked the smile and courtesy frequent business travellers are accustomed to. The hotel corridor outside my room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke from an irresponsible guest no doubt, but it lingered for many hours suggesting air flows in these areas are not great. The room and the the bed are comfy though which you would expect for the brand. No air con or fan and this made for a hot uncomfortable nights sleep since opening the window let in loud traffic noise from the close by A66. Pandemic meant the bar and restaurants are shut so the city centre location was a bonus. It didn’t cost the earth but also didn’t fulfil expectations of the brand. Tough times for hotels I understand...But the pandemic has levelled the field with the budget chains and the basics make all the difference.

It wasnt terrible, nice and clean, decent room and facilities. Bathroom wasnt very clean, had to flush the toilet as soon as I opened it, there were dirty marks all over the mirror and the bath tub was grubby aswell as all the walls.Of the three lights in the bathroom (2 spots above the mirror and one main lightonly one worked properly, that one being one of the little spots, the other spot light was dim and the main light didnt work, just got a constant flicker from it. To top it all off when I closed the bathroom door at one point, the lock fell off the inside, the catch fell and the door locked itself, when this happened the rod through the door fell towards the outside of the door, so I couldnt get anything on it to turn it, fortunately my colleague was meeting me at my room and was able to push the bar through, so I managed to push the lock back on far enough to turn it and unlock the door.Obviously the kitchen is closed due to covid, but the pack up breakfasts they deliver outside your door is bad too. Seem like theyve been bought on the cheap.Overall not a terrible stay, the room itself was nicely equipped and very comfortable, staff were okay, not great, nice view from the room. I think I just got unlucky with the bathroom. Would stay again, dont bother with the breakfast until the kitchen is open again.Check Premier Inn as theyre literally next door and probably a bit nicer, although these are weird times to be traveling in.

Difficult to really give a proper review with the social distancing in place. Overall I would say not bad a hotel , the room we were in didnt seem to have double glazing so could hear traffic out side. They have a lovely gym and swimming pool , the jacuzzi is a nice touch.

Better than expected. Well situated in the student quarter. Spent a week here due to work commitments. The rooms are a little small, but comfortable and well kept.No experience of the bar / restaurant in the evening but breakfast was pretty good.There is a a really good waiter / server who does breakfast service. His customer service is excellent and he likes to chat with the guests. Hes a credit to Jurys Inn.
