A 2-minute walk from Christ Church Cathedral and 4 minutes' walk from Dublin Castle, this modern hotel on a vibrant street is within 6 minutes' walk from a tram stop and 7 bus stops.Streamlined rooms provide free Wi-Fi, flat-screens and desks, in addition to tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded rooms add minibars, safes and pillow-top mattresses. Some quarters offer Cathedral views. Room service is available. There's a relaxed restaurant with a lounge area, and a chic bar with Cathedral views.
Our rooms were not ready at check-in time, but 1h 10 min later. During this time, we had to wait at the bar, for which we were given a free drink voucher. We ordered two food dishes but were later told that one of them was unavailable. When we paid the bill, we noticed that we had still been charged for both. We were told that a manager needed to process the refund, but the manager was not available and we never got our money back.On the second day, our rooms had not been cleaned by 4.00pm when we got back to the hotel, and had to wait downstairs. The hotel is in a perfect location, but is very dated and the rooms are very warm.Whilst we were offered free breakfasts for one of the three nights we stayed at the hotel as compensation for all the hassle we were put through, we had such an appalling experience and would therefore not recommend this hotel.
The hotel is just a bed with towel & tea bags.Absolutely no way anywhere near even 3 star hotels. The staff are completely novices, who lack basic customer service practices. Who acknowledge someone waiting for help. Dirty carpets & poor standard of cleanliness. The screwed up my booking then gave me a twin room that was a nightmare to sleep. The only advantage is location but there are many other great hotels much cheaper and better than this property.
The location is great and the rooms are clean. Good WiFi and the staff is friendly and helpful - though overwhelmed by the constant flux of guests.I don’t care what anyone says, this is in NO WAY a 4-star hotel. Please do not expect the rooms to look like the ones in the photos. The photos here are cherry-picked, or like me, the guests were too shocked to take pictures of their rooms. It was not spacious or well-appointed in any way, and could best be compared to an airport hotel from the 80s. We did have a lovely view from one of our rooms - see photo. We booked two triples, and were given an “upgraded” accommodation- which basically meant that our family of six (kids ages 17, 16, 13, and 11were separated only to get the same crummy rooms on two separate floors. Along with this “upgrade”, we got tickets for one free coffee at the coffee shop for each guest. The rooms had no air ventilation outside of a small window and even though heat was turned off, it got hot. A tower fan (that has seen better dayswas provided in the closet, but it made the stagnant air bearable. The room lacked simple conveniences such as a safe, and outlets near each bed.The bathroom was a miserable experience. The door had the type of hinge that forced it to remain closed with such violence that it would slam closed. The shower temperature vacillated between too cold and too hot with no control, and the water pressure was awful. The worst part was the breakfast (it was either €12 or €15pp). The food was substandard airplane food, served buffet style, and with little-to-no sanitary precautions. The tables were constantly sticky and the staff couldn’t seem to keep up with the over abundance of guests.
Great location. We were close to everything and the rooms were QUIET! They had double windows to keep street noise at a minimum.Staff was pleasant. And bar had good food.We did pay a little more to have coffee, water and biscuits each day. My only complaint was I had to keep asking for it. rather than it be in our room.Would stay again.
I give this hotel 3.5 stars only because of its excellent location, wonderful staff and great breakfast! The hotel is pretty old, the rooms are tiny and the washrooms pretty small. The hotel is walking distance to all major Dublin attractions such as Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, Trinity College and opposite to Christ Church Cathedral and close to all major shopping streets, stores and restaurants. The staff here (front office and breakfast areaare really demonstrating the art of excellent customer service by being polite, courteous and ready to help. The breakfast was great in both variety, taste and ambiance. The negatives are small and old rooms with no USB connections, extra small washrooms and high room rates. However hotel’s location trumps all the negatives.
This hotels location was perfect for my trip, 90% of my itinerary was within walking distance and for the few places that werent there was always a taxi waiting outside if I didnt want to take the bus. I also felt very safe in the location, even in the evenings and they did have security on site as well.My room was clean, bed was comfy but noise was a bit of a problem from the hallways and also from outside as I was right above and facing the garbage and recycling bins. I was surprised that the rooms did not offer thermostats and heat was centrally controlled. I usually prefer my room on the warmer side and was pretty cold my first night, but staff were very apologetic and offered me additional blankets which I appreciated.Everyone working the reception desk was great. They were very friendly and quick to respond to all of my inquiries even calling to check in after my first night. I wish I could give this hotel 5 stars just based on their amazing service but on my last night I had left some cash and coins on a dresser along with my makeup and toiletries before heading to dinner. Room service was late that night and when I got back my room was clean but all my cash was gone. I do partially blame myself for leaving it out in the open, but also do not think it was right for whoever it was to steal it, as I did not indicate it was a tip and I still had one more night before check out. This wasnt resolved before I had to check out the next day and is the only incident that put a dent on my experience.
Location: 10/10. Close to Temple Bar but not too close.Room: Double windows blocked all the noise from the busy street.Service: 10/10. there was a problem with our room so they got us a taxi to a brand new hotel. When we came back we saw a handwritten note from Jordie, the manager, along with a box of chocolate, two pralines, and 2 free drink vouchers. Very impressive. Kudos to Paul who took care of us all the way.Bed: not good. Double was the biggest bed they have for their non-executive rooms, which was too small. It wasnt firm enough which made turning my body laborious.
Overall a great hotel in a great area. The only issue is that the church across the street rings its bells twice an hour, 24/7 (on the hour to indicate time and at 43 minutes after the hour for some reason?). Normally this wouldnt be an issue as the windows could just be closed - but without air conditioning, it was quite warm so the windows had to remain open to sleep. Which also meant a lot of street noise from partygoers at 2AM.But the rooms were decent, clean and the breakfast was pretty good too.
This hotel on the website we booked it on was sold as a 4* hotels, it is definitely not for the standard rooms, expecting 4* hotel we where disappointed.Luckily we only stayed a couple of nights.Location was perfect! For a short stay we could see everything we wanted quickly and easily.
Nice spacious room. Recently updated. Hot in the room and had trouble regulating the temp. All in, a nice hotel within walking distance of several good spots including Brazen Head Pub and st Patricks church.
Perfect location in Dublin! City highlights are all within walking distance of this hotel. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly! Room is clean and comfortable. Daily delivery of water and biscuits to our room are a plus! Loving our stay thus far.
Fantastic location, we did a lot of walking. Lovely ladies on reception very welcoming. Room was a tight fit for 3 adults but comfy, had daily room cleans. Had some complimentary vouchers for food and drinks. Room does not have aircon and we had a lovely warm week in Dublin! Would definitely stay here again!
The 3 star on room is because they are quite basic. But they are clean and honestly all you really need for visiting Dublin.Location is really good, close to the main attraction of Temple bar and only a 15-20 minute walk from the Guinness storehouse experience.Reasonable price with breakfast included
Literally the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. There was no airflow and the heat was unbearable ( we were in Dublin- not a hot cityThey literally leave a fan in the hallway which should have been a red flag for us. They leave a tiny fan in the room saying that’s all they can do. We asked to be switched to a different room or hotel and was told that they are all the same. Whatever you do, do not waste your money staying at this hotel- there are so many better options in Dublin.
The hotel is nice and clean, and has an awesome central location. The bathrooms are spacious, and the shower is decently large with hot water. The staff here are super friendly, and they allowed us to store our bags hours before check-in.For me, a BIG plus was the costa coffee drinks in house at the bar. They were made to absolute perfection. The only things that I did not like was that there we not enough sockets in the rooms; there was only 2. Also, we went in the summer, where it’s super hot. The AC unit was not strong enough for three people and we needed at least three (with two sockets, this was quite difficult).Overall, the hotel was a good value for money. It was cheaper than others in Dublin, and we had a good time.
Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This website will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in this area. Ive been staying here for years. If you stay for a few nights you for sure wont regret it.We had a great stay at Jurys Inn Christchurch. Our room was comfortable, clean and the location is fabulous. All of the staff were helpful, kind and attentive. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.
All I can say is stay away from this hotel. It is difficult to understand that staff. My husband noticed that he needed a face cloth for the shower. I called down to the front desk and asked for 2 and the lady kept saying we have safes down here by the front desk. I even spelled out face cloth for her and still go the same answer. It took me speaking to another person to get them. We were there 3 nights and we like to have our beds made up each day so the room looks nice. There is no door sign to have this done and when you ask one of the cleaning staff to clean the room, they tell you that You are not on the list. When asked how does one get on the list?, their reply is We are not sure.. The room does not have air condition and you have to have the window open on a busy street in order to cool the room. Luckily, the weather cooperated by being in the low 50s at night but the noise from the street and church across the street did not help with sleep.
We only stayed 1 evening. This is a solid 4.5 star hotel. The location could not be better if you are looking for shopping, restaurants, or evening entertainment. We stayed in one of their 5th floor suites, which was very spacious, including fantastic views of the streets and church across the street. A pair of large windows can be opened for a super fresh, open air feeling in this type of room. Great coffee and 4 waters (3 still, 1 with gaswaiting for us with a couple cookie treats. Staff is on point, even though they get very busy in the tight little welcoming area of the front desk. We didnt try the restaurants, however the morning breakfast was a good one. It is satisfactory. We can compare this to the Hyatt Hotel which is very close by and say that the Hyatt is better, but you will pay more. Our stay at Jurys was a very nice one, which was quiet and peaceful in the heart of the busy city. We would stay here again, if we booked this suite.
Excellent location. Clean. Very comfortable beds. Rooms a little tight on space.Picture overlooking the beds was an excellent photo in technique but freaky as the figure (Possibly of Daniel o Connell?glared down on you.Parking in the Q Park behind extra fee on top on your overnight cost.
Just awful. Dirty and noisy. Unhelpful staff. Magnetic keycards don’t work half of the time. Small bathroom with no way to keep the door open. They clean the rooms once every four days or something. The view from the room was of ventilation pipes. Location is good but I have to believe there are decent alternatives in the Temple Bar area.
