Jurassic Coast Activities - Outdoor activity organiser in Bridgeport, United States
The walk around jurassic coast was amazing well worth the food slog never mind the photos its the memories that will stay with me forever you couldnt pay for the view
Gutted to see these guys are temporarily closed. Ive organised two groups to do coasteering with JCA, and both times we had the most amazing experience. Coasteering is something you can not go out and do by yourself, you need to be with experienced, clear guides, and thats exactly what we got both times with JCA. Hopefully one day soon theyll be open again, and back to doing what they do best. Highly, highly recommended.
I never seen heaven. But if i will then it should look a like.
Exactly the challenge we hoped for. Knowledgeable and supportive guide. Highly recommend.
Great place to explore lots of challenging walk but with beautiful scenery
I did the kayak trip along the coast. It was an awesome trip. My guide was Tim, who sat in the same boat like me (we were a group of 10 people, in 5 kayaks). Stunning scenery along the coast, we went to Durdle Door and through the archway. Tim was an awesome guide, very knowledgeable and thought me a lot of technique to improve my amateur paddling skills. 5*
Beautiful beach and nice hike
Windy sunny day. Very breathtaking!
Brilliant visit... awesome paddle in bathtub warm water and swam out under Durdle Door which was really special!
Great place for a day off. The views are spectacular and the beach is very clean and beautiful. The prices for food and drinks are very good. Totally recommended
I contacted them about doing an activity with them. They said I should receive a reply with in 24hrs. I have had no reply and it has now been a month. Disappointed!
Very dramatic coastline . Iconic Durdle door but dont forget to visit amazing Lulworth cove just 1 mile away. I took one star for concert hardcore dusty roads around Durdle door. I hope its only temporarily surface and will end up like path to Lulworth cove beautifully made with portland stone paving bricks.
These guys were AMAZING so patient and helpful had an amazing day out with them!!
Jack was a great guide. The sea kayaking was fantastic and would recommend to everyone.
Great experience, thanks Tomo and Luke you made our day very special
Absolutely amazing kayaking experience. The best way to see Durdle Door and the Jurassic Coast
Amazing staff - friendly, educational and fun. Had an awesome day!
Highly recommended!! Especially with Pete. My husband and I often go coasteering and have pushed ourselves to our limits of what is safe as a couple coasteering alone. We decided we wanted to go on a guided tour in the hopes that we would experience something a little more extreme. Pete gave us this, and more. He taught us about the local coastline and showed us things that we would not have seen without a guide. He kept it fun and assessed us as we went to make sure he pushed us hard enough. The weather was perfect and this opened up some opportunities to go into tunnels that were really quite small and intimidating, exactly what we wanted. We did some pretty high jumps and even Dan let out a few screams.A perfect afternoon!! I just wish we had booked the whole day….Next time!
Great fun with our lovely guide Jack. Very knowledgeable and made the day really fun. Would recommend although it is slightly on tbe pricy side plus there are no facilities to rinse off afterwards as we were covered in salt. Great way to see the coast. Ride the dragon!
Did a kayaking tour of the coast with our two guides, it was incredible. The guides were not only fun and encouraging but also super knowledgeable about the local fossils and geological features. Would love to do it again
Had an awesome day today! A very friendly and experienced tour guide by the name of Jack took us out kayaking this morning. Cheers Jack. Then, this afternoon we went coasteering; putting ourselves in the very capable hands of Pete. Cheers Pete. The sea was quite choppy today but Pete guided us like a boss. Not gonna lie, I was cacking my pants at first but felt safe with both tour guides the entire time. Highly recommended! Well surely be back for more. Cheers again guys! Good stuff.
Did both kayaking and coasteering, had an amazing time. It is the best way to sightsee the beautiful coastline in a more exciting and fun way. It was the perfect date for me and my partner, visiting the area for the first time.
Had an excellent time. 3h kayaking tour for £65. Definitely the best way to see Durdle Door! The guide was very knowledgeable about the geology of the rock formations.
Great day out fantastic guides.
Fantastic area. Lulworth Cove is just brilliant. Walk, views, cafe, info centre. Shame dog walkers dobt take their poo bags with them.
Took a kayak trip to Durdle Door from Lulworth Cove we had a great time. The equipment provided was very good, it was well organised and Tim the leader was excellent. We went out in double sit on top Kayaks which were pretty stable so should be ok for most people and we did a bit of rock hopping along the way. A great way to see the Jurassic coast from a completely different angle.
Brilliant day spent with Colin and Pete, the coasteering in particular is highly recommended! Plenty of opportunities to push yourself out of your comfort zone and see some amazing features of the Dorset coastline at the same time.
Has a great time coasteering! Well organised and fun!
Dont trust this company. They cancelled my booking without contacting me, my scout group is very disappointed. How they can communicate with me to take a deposit, then not be able to get in touch with me a few months later is baffling. As a result my scout group, which is a charity, has lost £100. Shame on you.
Amazing place. We loved it every moment in that place i cant wait to come back next year
Stunning place ! Amazing views and lots of sunshine
Really good tour, beautiful area.
Recommend to avoid this company. My wife and I are in an ongoing saga with them, where they accept no responsibility for customer safety concerns. They reel off terms and conditions like they are robots. Basically they are only interested in the business side of things and filling their pockets rather than offering a service people respect and want to return to. Such a shame as there is no other company that offers what they do in such amazing settings which is what keeps them in business. In my opinion its not worth it, enjoy the view on land instead.
It’s a scam!Last year in july, our boyscout group wanted to do an coastering activity. We had to do the payment upfront. We transferred the money, but we are Dutch, so the money took a couple of days. On the day of our activity, the organisation claimed to have had no money, so the activity could not proceed. We called and emailed about the money multiple times. Our youth members had earned this money themselves. They claimed the money could not be transferred to a Dutch bank account. We emailed and offered that the money could be transferred to a friend in Engeland or offered to pay the fee for the international transfer. The organisation didn’t replied on our emails at this point. We contacted a lawyer and she send an email with a couple of options and a deadline. The organisation didn’t even replied that the got the email. If this isn’t solved our group can’t go on a camp this year. This is our last resort.Scouting Ginneken
We had booked a activety for a group and there was contact by email and we paid the money by internet banking. When our group arrived at the coast there was nobody. The company said we did not paid and now Jurassic coast activities doesnt respond to emails from our group or from our lawyer.I think it is a scam and i advice you to never do bisness with them.

Terrible. Would give no stars if possible. Unsafe, unprofessional and money hungry company. I would recommend to avoid at all costs.
Excellent level of knowledge of the area and the best places to climb and jump. We had great fun, Victor was the man! Will definitely return and recommend these guys.
We had a great fun doing coasteering. Nigel, our instructor, was relaxed, patient and friendly. During the activity, we made a few jumps from cliffs, visited a few caves and tunnels. I would have given one extra star if there was a shower and more privacy in the changing room.
We were a group of 4 signed up for coasteering and it was great fun! Nige our instructor was very friendly, approachable and kept the whole adventure fun and light hearted. On our exploration, we saw a couple of caves, swam a decent bit and did several jumps. It was all enjoyable, greatly recommended!
We had a light traffic jam on the way and the instructor patiently waited for us. He was very friendly, humorous and encouraging. There were a few opportunities to jump from the cliff at different heights. The only downside is that the shower wasnt available at the end of the tour which was quite inconvenient. Still recommend it though!
This probably goes without saying, but sea kayaking is hard. Like, really hard, if there are 4-5 ft waves. On our trip this weekend, the waves were rough and the headwind on the way out was super strong so the trip was less than enjoyable. I feel like this maybe should have been explained better - the trip was not for the old, the young, or one without a basic (intermediate?fitness level. As for our guides, all I can say is meh. They were nowhere near us for most of the trip and didnt read the crowd too well - trying to get us all in close as the waves knocked our boats into each other in the freezing cold to explain the "dragon" at Durdle Door for ten minutes. We then had to lug our kayaks back up the hill (despite the guide saying they would transfer them back up at the end?). But really, the 3 stars are attributable to the facilities - for £60 a head, plus put in proper changing rooms (a flimsy curtain separates the boys and girls areas), a real bathroom and maybe some storage (lockers would be ideal).
Fantastic experience, the staff and the guides were amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable. The paddle was great, it was not calm so there were some solid waves, which we definitely appreciated given that we are experienced paddlers. It was also very nice to learn about the area and the terrain. On that note, the setting was nothing short of spectacular.Overall I would definitely reconend checking these guys out.
Nige is a legend!!!!Cant make activity better as its awesome! Great way to spend birthday weekend.JCA could make you aware of the car park costs before, along with better changing facilities. But these are somewhat very minor details.
Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant.Did two activities: 1kayak tour and 2coasteering with a group of 13 friends. And both were amazing!! Thanks!! The instructors were very friendly and were happy to go with the flow and tailor the event as we went along to match what people were enjoying. The guides were very knowledgable about the Jurassic Coast and shared lots of interesting info as we went along. The instructors even gave everyone a push start in the kayaks from Durdle Door beach down the shingle launching each kayak back into the sea. It was excellent. And the Jurassic Coast line is stunning and even more so seeing it from the sea!! Ten out of ten. Thanks.
Fantastic canoeing to Durdle Door! Great guides and equipment.
Fantastic kayaking experience, seeing the fossils in the cliffs and even a bit of cave action. Safe, knowledgeable, fun, thoroughly recommended.
A group of mad friends and I had an awesome time coasteering with Jurassic Coast Activities last Saturday morning lead by Andy and Chris who were very professional with regard to instructions and safety but at the same time ensuring that our whole group had a great time. It was quite windy so there as a lot of swell but that didnt put us off, the rougher the better for us. The event was quite physically challenging for that reason and we all got out knowing wed worked hard but the banter was brilliant. Everyone really enjoyed it. Lulworth Cove is a beautiful spot, after the even we were able to go and eat fresh crab and other local delicacies at a cafe in the cove. Highly recommend the event and this organisation. Well done guys!!
Nige was such a brilliant host, very knowledgeable and skilled.I had to swap kayaks in the middle of the choppy sea but I learnt how to do it effortlessly.Good times, must do their whole experience.Remember to book ahead of time, they get flat out busy in the summer.Momo & Sam
We had a great day with Jurassic Coast Activities, there were 8 of us and we did a kayak tour in the morning and coasteering in the afternoon and we even had a fish n chips lunch thrown in! Was a great laugh and the instructors were really proffessioinal but at the same time relaxed and up for a laugh. The coastline is amazing and the coasteering involved some awesome jumps and tunnels that we swam through! Would definately recommend and we will be back next year!
