Upscale indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge for cocktails & Caribbean small plates in sleek environs.
We photographed our first wedding 💒 here and it was beyond incredible 💕 one of Columbus’ finest! Juniper provides coordinators that do so much more than a normal day of coordinator. The chef will create one of dishes that are tailored to exactly what a couple would desire. Beth and I are so excited to come back and photograph at The Juniper autumn of 2020.
Great view of Columbus skyline and atmosphere! Came here for a family wedding and it was wonderfully catered, great food/drinks, and even has a dance floor which can open up to the outdoor deck.
You must check out this place if you are in town for business as they are usually closed to private events on the weekends. Atmosphere is like stepping back in time and you are playing a role in the Great Gatsby movie. Great mixed drinks and small plates as well. One of the best views in the city.
Beautiful view. Food is good. Overall nice experience.
Beautiful location, we were there on a cloudy day, so lighting was fine. Food and service were fine too. What I absolutely hated was when the cover band started playing (up to that point, there was no music). The music was way too loud, to the point where you could not have a conversation with people at your table. It complete ruined my experience.
Sunday brunch buffet was amazing. Staff was great and the atmosphere was too!
I have been wanting to go to this restaurant since it opened, rooftop skyline view and all. My family tried to get me a gift card for my birthday, but they dont offer one, so they got me a Visa gift card to use at the restaurant instead. I finally made it there, even dealing with the prix fixe menu, which was decent even though it was limited. I went to pay and they dont accept any cards without chips. Give me a break. It was one of those persnickety little things that makes me not want to bother in the future. On the positive side, I ordered a breaded cauliflower and risotto dish that was delicious. My dining companion had a solid shrimp and grits. I was also impressed with the glass structure of the place, which slides on rails to open the entire dining area (roof and allto the outside in good weather.
While there might be a view to this restaurant, it seems they have a disconnect between the idea of fine dining and casual dining. The decorations of the place were plain, there were quite a few rowdy crowds and loud noises throughout our experience there, with the servers contributing to said noises with chairs falling, some yelling, among other noises adding to this unfortunate experience. We went for a Valentines day romantic dinner, for which we were presented with a prix-fixe menu. The selections were few so the expectations of the food quality were high. That was not the case, the smoked tomato consommé had a very oily taste only hidden by the spiciness added to it. The beef short rib was overcooked and ruined and I could barely get through the plate and couldnt finish. By the time the dessert arrived I could not even touch it.The drinks were okay but overpriced as well.
Cool place to eat! Great views and delicious food. I had the parrotfish (which I have never seen on a menu beforeand it was amazing! They did accidentally get one of our orders wrong but quickly fixed it with prompt service.
Absolutely beautiful establishment. Very artdeco feel on the rooftop of this warehouse. Very misleading from the outside entrance, then you walk in the door and are whisked away by their greeter to this dream of a rooftop bar and restaurant. The views of downtown are amazing and their brunch....please! Get. The. Brunch.
The views cant be beat, even in the dead of winter! The cocktail list was extensive and did not disappoint. Went with the cauliflower steak and even though I am not vegetarian I was blown away by how delicious and filling it was. For fine dining the portion sizes were great! Cant wait to go back when we can sit outside.
Beautiful views. Excellent food. My table tried the toys, brussel sprouts, muscles, brie, hamburger, and pasta dish. All were delicious. The service was good. The kitchen was a little slow considering we were one of three tables in the restaurant.
The service was great! All of the employees were fast and helpful ,however the food was not the same. There was a sunday brunch buffet amd most of the food was cold and dry aside from the made to order omelets, the sirloin ans waffles. Other than that the eggs were like sponges and the bacon was undercooked. I would not go back.
Good drinks. Good food. Was there for a company mixer. The outdoor patio fire places were nice on a cool night. A section of the roof was open and provided a nice open environment allowing fresh air to enter and noise to leave. This place is really nice. You have to use the private elevator to get up and down from there. Sometimes theres a line for the elevator to either go up or down.
Great food and view! Table service should be better such as replacing dirty silverware after appetizer instead of placing knives and forks with sticky foods on the table that then get on the table. The better service would be to take away and replace any silverware left on the plate.
My husband and I got married at Juniper in July and I cannot say enough good things about this place as a wedding venue. Working with everyone to book the rooftop, create the menu and design our setup was so easy and enjoyable. Ashley was our day of coordinator and was amazing! She helped us create the room design and worked with our florist, dj, band and bakery to create the most beautiful reception ever. She set up a lot of the small details for us and it was perfect. She kept things running smoothly, made sure my husband and I had appetizers and drinks waiting for us and reminded us that we actually needed to sit down and eat!! The staff who worked our reception were wonderful— the waiters were so quick and kind and the bartenders were awesome. The food was also amazing. We had so many people tell us how wonderful our reception was because of juniper. It’s definitely on the pricer side but it was worth every penny. We could not have been happier!!
Juniper is a cut above your ordinary restaurant atmosphere. Juniper sits on the top floor of an historical building with a swanky rooftop patio view of the city of Columbus skyline. Great place to meet and mingle over cocktails and grab a few pictures. They do take reservations if you are up to dining but be sure to check their website for their hours since they do private events. They did special food orders for those in our party which we really appreciated. We enjoyed celebrating our daughter’s birthday here.
We came across this restaurant by happenstance. As my wife was looking up restaurants after looking up the name of our upcoming kiddo. She came across Juniper. Everything we had was great. I had a NY steak and she had a cauliflower steak with amazing mushroom risotto. Wine selection is great and the bread pudding was a great way to finish one of our rare date nights. Will try our best to return.
Went here last night with my wife and we had the duck tots!!!! They were amazing, the bartender was good at making my drink buzzable. We had a good time, scenery was great. Good food was amazing I recommend this place on a nice date with your significant other.
What a fun place. Very classy. Absolutely beautiful view of the city. The bartender was quick I know exactly what I wanted and a special drink for me. And the drinks were absolutely fabulous! This is a definitely must go to your place if you are looking to have a few drinks.
Beautiful views, fun cocktails and a nice staff. Some of the food was a little underwhelming (looking at you rolled duck totsbut overall a great experience. Its a trendy 30s and 40s crowd so if youre looking for the 20s to 30s crowd checkout Lincoln Social.
The views of the city and the sunset are terrific. The service was mixed. Our server wore sunglasses which made it difficult to tell who was being addressed so that added a small amount of confusion. The the gimlet and old fashioned cocktails were pretty good. Two of us ordered duck breast and neither of us were provided a knife. As I waited for the server to return I tried the risotto. It was tasty, but not even slightly warm. After several minutes I went to the bar to ask for knives. Others at the table enjoyed the fish and the burger. The wait for the dessert menu was nearly 10 minutes. The rooftop atmosphere and cocktails boosted what would have been 2 stars to a 3 star review. If you get good service you might have a 4 star experience.
Fun place. Foods a bit expensive but its good and the view is great for Columbus.
Awesome environment… Acoustics did not suit my taste but it made for a lively atmosphere. It was much better when the staff opened the ceiling and the beautiful evening surrounded us. Food was a bit pricey very interesting menu but the entrées we got for just OK. I appreciated the factThat the menu indicated a wide variety of diet options vegan ,gluten-free ,etc .
The view is breath taking and the food was very good. Made for a very nice date spot.
My husband and I came here for his birthday. My friend suggested this restaurant but there was an event when we originally wanted to go. I thought, what better time than my hubbys birthday!? This restaurant was so nice from the ambiance to the view to the helpful waiters! I asked our waiter, Eric I believe, if we could speak to the manager and just tell him how great the service was. It was really busy on a Wednesday but the waiters really helped one another out and worked as a team. It was nice to know that we could ask anyone for help. The food was good and seasoned well. It is a little pricier than the average restaurant but the experience overall was AMAZING! My husband and I loved it and definitely want to come back. Colin, the manager, was helping the team out which is rare so that was nice to see! We are definitely looking forward to coming back!
Very nice experience. Drinks ok, not a lot of mix drink variety. Food was good we just shared the small plates and appetizers. Beautiful view of the city.
They have a great space with beautiful views. The cocktails were great and the vegetable strudel was excellent! They seem to have a few vegetarian options which I really appreciated.
I went here with my girlfriend, we had an amazing time and the food was superb. The host even gave us our first round of drinks free because they had a mix up and we waited a little longer than normal. They went above and beyond to make it right. I will definitely be back here.
Great food and views! The service was amazing, not once was my water glass empty. We came in at 11 right when it opened for brunch. Loved the omelet bar it’s absolutely exquisite! With delicious cakes for desert.
Loved the views. The feel of the place is upscale, but not full suit and tie upscale. Low lighting. The chairs are uncomfortable. Tried 2 of the specialty cocktails, Caribbean mule was ok, the Martinez was nasty. Overall a great experience, I will b returning.
The view of the city is great. Delicious food and a great drink selection. The open air rooftop atmosphere makes it great for all sorts of occasions. Check the hours as times open to the public are limited.
Amazing downtown views, delicious food, and good cocktails. What else do you need in a restaurant?
We came here after our dinner, to enjoy some drinks and conversation. We heard Juniper had a spectacular view and chill atmosphere. We absolutely enjoyed the bar and the view! The atmosphere was very chill and staff was very nice. The chairs are a but uncomfortable and there was many chairs and tables on the balcony deck, so come early to grab a table.Their drinks were good, a bit on the expensive side, but worth the view. I got the frose, which is like an alcoholic slushie; it tasted good. We came for the experience, not the drink, but the drink was good too.We would come back, with a small group, for date night, or to grab some food during the day.Theres street parking and a private lot available! Their bar is on top of an office building, it seems like, so it was a bit strange getting to Juniper. There was a door man that guided us to the elevator up, so that helped a lot!
Highly overrated. They claim a Caribbean vibe, but I found nothing of the sort. I loved the view and HATED the food. The view is so perfect it deserves the three stars in this review.
Great view, good food and tasty cocktails.Highly recommend the crispy pork belly and Caribbean shrimp cocktail.
This is a nice romantic place to kick it at. The food was delicious. The drinks was on point. They need more fruit variety to put in your drinks. Over all we will be back.
Amazing view, attentive and friendly staff that serves unique food and cocktails. Limited only by weather and short hours. Ideal spot for events. I will be back soon.
Not worth the hype AT ALL. Sure, it has a nice view of the sunset, but that credit goes to God. Juniper has terrible service, awkward seating, is super loud (like college bar loudand they can’t even make a decent gin and tonic. Wholly disappointed 😔
Good vibes, good food, great view, we had a great time at Juniper last night
WE WERE THERE FOR A PRIVATE WEDDING! IT WAS SUCH HIGH QUALITY N QUATITY OF FOOD! AND THE CHEESECAKE CUPSCAKES ARE MY FAV DESSERT ANYWHERE NOW! THE VIEWS ARE SPECTACULAR! THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE ARE SO COURTEOUS N GRACIOUS! I HAD SO MUCH FOOD THEY HAD TO PACK UP A TO GO BOX! THEY HAVE VALLET PARKING, NICE BAR AREAM NICE DANCE AREA. NICE SMOKING AREA, THERE IS AN ANTIQUE SINK OUTSIDE OF THE WOMENS RESTROOM (THEY SAID IT WAS THERE WHEN THE FACTORY WAS RUNNING!PLACE IS VERY CLEAN! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT! (BUT I THINK ALOT IF NOT MOST SATURDAYS ARE RESERVED FOR PRIVATE PARTIES?!?BUT HOURS ARE OPEN THROUGH THE WEEK!(here are just some of the photos from there )
Best hidden rooftop around Columbus. Wish they had better hours, but this is the best place to see the sunset with the Columbus skyline. Food is ok...
Literally a breath of fresh air this rooftop bar with a beautiful view of downtown Columbus was modern and aesthetically pleasing to the eye it could have easily been a rooftop venue in Vegas! The food has a Caribbean feel which is perfect for me! Absolutely loved it!
Great view atop a landmark building (with the iconic water towerin downtown Columbus. Food was delicious and the ambiance was stellar, especially as the sun went down and the background lights came on. It was too cold to have all the windows open (the heaters were full throttle in the outside lounge areabut when they are, I bet its spectacular. This is a place to "see and be seen," so be sure to dress appropriately. I cant wait to go back!
Absolutely outstanding. This is the type of place that could get away with mediocre food because it has such a beautiful view, but that was not the case. We had fantastic service with good pacing and every dish we tried was genuinely delicious and clearly well thought out by the chef.
Metro & modern roof top dining. Food is average but ambience makes up for it. Opens at 5:00pm. Take advantage of both day and night views. Parking lot spaces available after 5. Weekend reservations recommended.
Rooftop bar with one of our favorite views of the Columbus skyline. Friendly service, very chill atmosphere, amazing drinks and small plates. Our favorite cocktail is the park on rose. It has a very natural sweetness to it with the floral tones youd expect with rose in the name. Also tried the green goddess which is a refreshing cucumber cocktail. Plantains are good but they are only served if the daily supply passed the head chefs test of quality (the waiter told us hes carribean, not yet verified). Highly recommend checking this place out.
Awesome view, ambiance and decor. The food was not good and the service was slow. Great place for some drinks and dessert.
Took my husband for a surprise date. Absolutely gorgeous views of downtown Columbus. If you sit on the North side it is a little loud but the south side is more quiet. The furniture was from Ikea. Practical but comfortable in this trendy spot. During the Warner months the patio is opened for outside air and a fireplace is there to welcome you as well. Also the front of the building has sliding glass walls where it opens to an open rooftop. Definitely a 5 star restaurant with amazing cuisine. It is moderately price and the food is out of this world. The plates are sharable and perfect for a group outing. Service was spot on. Greeted with class and smiles. Word of advice reservations are almost a must unless you want to wait a good hour. Bathrooms are separate but open concept. Pretty unique. I will definitely be back for more class!
Absolutely beautiful rooftop setting, great bar, friendly servers.
