Description
Amazing place great outdoor location to have friends and family
I’ve been here about 5 times and the food is always amazing! Best pizza I’ve ever had! Service is always great and staff are very friendly! Most times I think Justin always comes out and asks how everything is and if we need anything. Will most def be back!
MoreI had been here once years ago...I had heard great things. I did not have a good experience. My slushy lasted maybe 5 minutes before it was melted and just warm liquid. I ordered cheese bread and a small pizza. Both were OK once they came but it took about an hour and fifteen minutes to get my food. We ask one of the girls working and she said they were busy and it should be about 40 minutes. When I told her it had been an hour already she went to check and never returned. They charge you a tip no matter what and mine was over $5. I hope all of that went to the boy who brought my food...as he was the only one that did anything for me. The pizza itself was unique and I was aware it had onions...I was not aware that they would be half a slice so that sometimes I got a mouth full of onions and little else. The food was so late coming that I just brought most of it home. Lastly, for some unknown reason the girl at the register ser me up a tab, which I did not want or understand...then I had to wait to check out and finally leave. The only reason it gets a 2 is that it is a nice location.
MoreAwesome pizza, wine slushies and service! It came a monsoon while we were there but they were well equipped and prepared.
MoreIt was my first time coming here and I came with some wonderful moms for a mom’s night out! The pizza was the best and the slushes were really good! It’s beautiful even though it was raining it was still fun ! I will definitely be going back!
MoreGreat pizza cheesy bread and of course their wine is amazing outstaning service highly recommended when in the area we have been several times and will continue to return
MoreGreat pizza, great wine outstanding staff. Well keep returning for sure.
Really great place to have pizza and a cold slushy! Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful grounds. The servers are pests by asking how everything is too much. Would be better if they just took a look around the tables instead of walking up and asking so much. Other than that, a gem.
MoreLoved the atmosphere. The pizza was straight from the brick oven, hot and delicious !! The strawberry wine slushy was so good. Very impressed. Will definitely go back.
MoreSuch an amazing place, we enjoyed our visit so much! Definitely a place to visit and we will return! If you like a sweet wine, the Born Dixie is amazing!
MoreGreat place to go have a bottle of wine. Pizza is delicious!!!!
Had a girls day trip to Jules! The staff were all very friendly and took great care of us. The wine slushies were absolutely amazing! Everyone got a different pizza and those were awesome as well. We all really enjoyed our visit and will be back.
MoreAttended a bridal shower and the outdoor facilities were nice by the Vinyard. The chicken pesto pizza was delicious.
MoreGreat place. Wish they had inside area its hot to eat outside this time of the year.. Pizza was fantastic but I have to remember next time tell them only use 1/4 of the amount of sauce. Crust pizza and toppings are soooo good so much sauce hidd the tast of the other stuff.. as a matter of fact. Crust toppings and cheeses so good NO sauce is even needed..
MoreThey have great wine slushy Great pizza
Jules Berta Vineyards is a wonderful escape right here in Albertville Alabama. Near Guntersville Lake. I chose the flight of wines so that I could try several different wines. Black Widow turned out to be my favorite. I ordered a ham and pineapple pizza which had a great crust. The atmosphere is so relaxing and many different choices in seating accommodating to those Sun or shade lovers. The place is pet friendly. No steps to worry about-easy access. Really enjoyed my visit and will be back soon. Purchased a bottle and wine tumbler to go.
MoreI drove about an hour away to try the wine slushees that many folks bragged about. Very disappointed that they were closedPlease update hours online. There were about five people who all pulled up to the location only to find out y’all were closed.
MoreLovely atmosphere, awesome pizza and delicious wine!
Awesome atmosphere, lots of table choices in or out of the sun. Tried the pizza and shushes... Pizza had a nice crispy thin crust, toppings were delicious, sauce was on point. Even the cauliflower crusted pizza was a hit with our group. Cant go wrong with a slushy (or one of their wines of courseto wash down deliciousness. Thanks for a great experience!
MoreNice place, good wine & pizza!
Best wine in the southeast! Good food and atmosphere too!
The wine flights were great, pizza was fantastic and there was lots of parking and tables for eating that were covered and shaded which is great since we had the dogs. We will definitely come back here again. We were with the Saleen club and had a blast.
MoreWood fired pizza is fantastic. Very wide selection of wines. I preferred the muscadine Bama Belle. Sweet with oak overtones.
MoreCute place and pizza was decent. Staff was extremely rude. If you’re looking for a good winery experience, Calera is a much better option. Will not go back, do not recommend.
MoreNo southern hospitality there. It is chilly here today. We sat down at a table next to a heater since it is cold. Soon after one of the employees asked us to move just in case a larger party came in.We moved then looked at the other tables. One picnic table had one person, another two, and two empty. As we were leaving they sat a party of two at the exact table they asked us to move from. Needless to say, we didnt stay long. Very disappointing.
MoreMy wife and I stopped here during a one day couples retreat from the kids. This is very nice little winery and vineyard with super friendly staff. We did the samples and my wife fell in love with the Watermelon Wine. The others that we tried were really good too, but the Watermelon is crazy good. We were going to get some pizza, but we just werent hungry; had a late breakfast. I had hoped that we would be able to walk around the vineyard, but it is mid-March and now is time for pruning and repairs. I plan to come back up later in the year to see the vineyard near harvest time. Besides, my wife will be longing for another bottle of Watermelon Wine soon.
MoreOk, so we like wine!!! 2nd stop on our wine visit in Alabama. Friendly staff, food a little bit pricey, but a good board was prepared for us! Nice seating outside when the weather is cooperating, which it was. Good wine, although for our palates, some wines were a bit too sweet. What stood out on these stops was the great variety of wines available! Who knew!!! Thank you for your hospitality. Joe and Laura
MoreChill and laid back. Yummy pizza and wine slushies.
I’ve been waiting to have a date night for a year at this place so I was excited to finally come for our Valentine’s dinner. Nowhere did I read beforehand there is NO indoor dining. Everything is outdoor so be prepared to freeze in winter and bake in summer. They have 2 patios wrapped in plastic with a couple outdoor heaters but it was still too cold to sit and eat our dinner so we took it to go and ate in the car. That part was very disappointing but their saving grace was all the wine we tried and their slushies were amazing. Would be better to offer more food options even a food truck or two but they nailed the pizza. I will be back when it’s warmer and to buy more wine but please state on your website or somewhere widely visible to be prepared to dine in the elements that would be most helpful. I will note that $85 for 2 slushies, 1 pizza, and 2 bottles of wine was a bit much. We are from wine country Ohio and this wine is double what we are used to paying per bottle.
MoreIt was a pleasant surprise to discover this place. We lived here for over six years now and have been looking for a great pizza place all this time. We have not been very happy so far. Trinity from Blissfully Serene Spa suggested we try Jules J Berta Vineyards. We went there one Saturday afternoon and liked its rustic and charming appearance. We ordered a 12” pizza without marinara sauce with additional pesto. We sat in the covered palace as it was too windy and cold to sit outside. The pizza arrived pretty quickly. The pizza looked really good. It was a thin crust pizza with raised edges. The edge was a little too charred, but we liked the look and the crunch of it. The crust was not bad, but not the greatest as it lacked the subtle yeasty smell. The most wonderful part of the pizza was that it was not drowning with gooey cheese as it was in Mater’s and Mellow Mushroom. The toppings were equally distributed and plentiful without being a “deep” dish pizza; a significant improvement over lookout mountain pizza. Really nice! The first bite was wonderful. A near perfect blend of saltiness giving out to a mild but significant taste of feta on the sides of the mouth. Somehow the Basil did not come through as it can be expected for an out of season veggie pizza. The big disappointment was the pesto. We could not find it anywhere. Spices were lacking a bit. I think I would have liked a more pronounced taste of oregano (then again, we did not get the marinara sauceand more herbs on it to spice things up. We believe things will jazz up significantly in summer when the fresh veggies arrive. Oh, BTW, we thought the 12” pizza was a little too much for two people. I think we would have been plenty happy with an 8 pizza. Even though things were a bit pricey (one 12” pizza and one bottle of water came out to be $32there was plenty of food for two people. So far the best pizza we had here. We will definitely be back and we are also inviting friends from huntsville to come and join us for lunch. We are requesting a bit of addition to the covered sitting place. When you guys get a chance, closing the place with glass (part of it screened and openablewill make the place sizzle in winter. We are planning to explore pizzarias within 4-5 hours drive from here to see if anyone can beat Jules winery. Thank you for being here. We will certainly be back.
MoreJames was our host today. He is very friendly and knowledgeable about every wine selection. We purchased several bottles of wine and a sweat shirt. We will definitely be back in the spring time.
MoreArrived and accidentally went into the home of the owners, signage could be better. Note: the little building to your right is where you want to start 😉 Disappointed that they didn’t have flights but thankful that I could have samples before purchase. Ended up purchasing the Bama Belle and enjoyed it with my slices of pizza. I am a lover of Firestone pizza and it didn’t disappoint. Headed back when it warms up !!
MoreMy family and I had a great time visiting the Winery. The owner personally did our wine tasting and explained each of the wines we chose. The wine slushies and wood fired pizza are heavenly.
MoreAbsolutely wonderful wine selection. Delicious pizza. Jules was a great host during the tasting, really enjoyed the back stories behind the wines.
MoreWent last week after a wedding rehearsal and just had to come back with my wife for date night. Such a jem in Albertville, walking in, the area and grounds are very well kept and beautiful. Plenty of seating both covered and uncovered. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, definitely made us feel at home and very comfortable. We picked a 2 cheese charcuterie board (big meat and cheese trayit was loaded and absolutely delicious. The pizza we choose was the city slicker, which is like a Philly cheese steak pizza.... fantastic!!! Perfectly cooked with a crisp crust. To wash it all down we had a pair of slushy style wine drinks. I had that mango and had the pineapple, both were incredibly tasty!!.
MoreVery nice place. Lots of out door seating. Price is not bad. Wine was very good. Try the wine slushies. They are good.
MoreGood selection of wine, and a very nice venue. However, our visit was short. When I am spending my money, I expect friendly and helpful service from the employees. When my wife and I entered, there were two employees there. Neither said hello, nor offered any other greeting. We did taste the wine, and we purchased $101.53 of product. I wish we had just left, because the rude reception ruined our visit. We visited six wineries over the weekend. This was the only disappointment on the tour.
MoreWonderful atmosphere and great food! Wine slushies are my new favorite.
Great atmosphere and pizza ! And wine slushes
The most enjoyable date place ever. Very relaxed atmosphere. With pizza that rivals anything you would find in New York. The wines made there are of superior quality. It is the best winery in the state of Alabama. They also carry H’Evans Honey!
MoreWe stopped in to get a few bottles for a house warming gift and decided to do a tasting and OMG soooo good! The young man who helped us was great. This will have to be our date night stop to try the pizza and have more wine.
MoreThis winery was so much fun. My daughter and I had a fun afternoon out and we went to a couple wineries. This one was the better of the two. We did a wine tasting and we tried 6 different kinds. We had a Raspberry wine slushie and it was so good and very refreshing. Then we ordered a pizza and it was delicious. We had a great time and it was very enjoyable. The people who work there were very friendly and helpful.
MoreWonderful place and relaxing atmosphere! Great, polite, helpful and friendly staff! Pizza was so yummy! The wine was amazing! Will definitely go back there again!
MoreFantastic pizza; it really does not get much better than this.. I ordered a cauliflower crust with pepperoni and Canadian bacon. They put a lot of effort into their ingredients; you can tell that everything was fresh and did not sit in a freezer somewhere for half a year. If youd like to try a different pizza than I did, but youre not sure whats good, ask Jake at the counter what he recommends.Today was my first time here, but Ill be back..
MoreVery good service. Pizza was great!. Tried a peach slushy too. Was not disappointed.
MoreAwesome Winery the wife and I did the taste-testing which was top-notch very inexpensive. Very good variety of wines to the super sweet muscadine wines along with fruit infused wines to the dry wines. The fruit that is used in the wines are from local Growers within the area. Great friendly customer service definitely stop by and visit. Sorry I didnt come here to try the brick oven pizza came here for the wine and definitely was not disappointed well be back for sure. Thanks Jules Vineyards for the warm hospitality
MoreThis is always a great place to go if youre looking for something fun to do. I am not a huge wine fan, but they have quite a varied selection to choose from, so one can always find something they like. Plus they have great pizza!
MoreWe enjoy drier wines and were very excited to find such a wide variety sweet to dry! They serve wood fired pizza but not today. Will need to try that on our next trip!
MoreWonderful wine and experience! We absolutely loved the pizza too. Peaceful environment and very well kept! The staff is precious and also all family owned and operated which is great to see these days. 100% the best wine on the entire Alabama wine trail! It is hard to pick a favorite bc they’re all so good here! A++
