Józef K. in Gdansk
Description
Nice ambience! Vintage lighting with a cozy old world charm!
Atmospheric as you like, fun and friendly with a great selection of beer and cocktails. Informative staff and a chilled ambiance.
MoreWe worked there from opening until 2pm-ish. Had a couple of coffees and a beer as well.Service is nice and the venue offers a great space for working (remotely). We also found the place as it was recommended by digital nomads. Would definitely come back ( we actually did)
MoreBeautiful place, unique interior and delicious drinks. Highly recommend this place:)
MoreGreat atmosphere, friendly bartenders and not to mention, they have mead! Must visit!
MoreFantastic place for drinks, the interior was both amazing and unique - a must visit if in the old town of Gdańsk!
MoreNicely decorated. I wonder how they managed to find that many old fashioned sofa and chair sets. Cocktails are prepared with care even garnished with real flowers!
MoreA wonderful bar with unbelievable atmosphere. Design is very well thought through, very well put together play list. Bar-girl makes the show from literally any drink served. Amazing experience!
MoreThe interior is designed with so much love that you can‘t stop wondering about all the details you will discover during an evening with (really!!!great drinks and a carefully selected soundtrack. A good place indeed.
MoreCool place, but the staff was super slov even when there were like 3 people in the pub.
MoreGreat place, reminds me of an absinth bar in Brooklyn. Great vibe and decor 🙂
Very cool and unique bar, every time you look through the bar you discover something you didnt notice before. Good selection of spirits. Strange paintings.
MoreAmazing place with old style decoration which makes it so cozy during the day :we asked for something which was not in the menu and the guy working there not only prepared what we wanted but he did something amazing! I really recommend this place.
MoreGreat atmosphere and good drinks - I went there several times during a short trip in Gdanks! :)
MoreGood coffee and selection of beers. Intriguing interior decor!
Excellent selection of classic cocktails as well as some homemade ones. The decorations are surely something else, and is without a doubt a must-visit bar in Gdańsk.
MoreBeautiful 2 floor Eclectic place. Super good vibes and people of all ages.
Gotta be one of the best bars Ive ever been to. Lots of stuff in here, its a feast on the eyes! I wish UK pubs were like this 🍺👍👌
MoreA "café with soul"!Thanks to the barista here today for this quote.Couldnt have put it better myself!(pity they didnt have any cakes today)UPDATE (April 2022The cakes are in today. Raining outside, but here in the, "café with soul", theres always something better
MoreReally nice place for a pint or a cocktail/drink. Staff was amazing and the interior had an interesting take on industrialism
MoreRegardless of you fancy a drink or not, you should give this surrealistic place a visit 😊
MoreProbably one of the best known and most charming places in the Gdańsk old town. Really cozy interior, a very wide selection of drinks and cocktails, both warm and cold (theres also cakes available for when youre craving something sweet). Plus the bartenders are friendly. :)A perfect place for having a drink with friends, definitely recommend it.
MoreVery cool bar for mid 20s people! We had late coffee and cake, and then a beer, but they were already shaking drinks at 17:30 and the place was full. Nice rustic vibe, even if one of the bartenders had a bad day during our visit. Would like to come back another day!
MoreA bar for locals with great atmosphere, and good old music on a Saturday night.
Very nice design: cosy, a bit cramped, very cool mezzanine, there are some Kafkaesque accents (not only the nameand youll find it pleasing even if youve never read Kafkas books.Service wise in my case it was not so good. The girl at the bar/counter didnt know their own menu and was not very nice and definitely not patient when receiving my order.
MoreBeautiful place, nice vintage interior, they have indoor and outdoor seating, However, those who love to work on their laptops will want to know that there are two quiet private rooms at the rear of the venue. These cosy rooms are ideal for working, writing and relaxing away from the busy street outside. WiFi is fast, staff are welcoming..
MoreUnique interior, homemade cakes and diverse choice of soft drinks, tea, coffee and cocktails wont leave anyone leave disappointed. Ask the staff for recommendations and expect a bit of delay and serving your own table.
MoreIf you’re in Gdansk this place is a must if u don’t feel like having another “pumpkin spice latte” in Starbucks or Costa. It’s beautifully decorated in vintage style with books and painting. It’s such a vibe! 🌞
MoreStopped here for a coffee and friends had some tea. We were entranced by our surroundings. We easily found a comfortable spot to take in the many quirky items. This place is quite unique and worth a visit.
MoreVery atmospheric place, with good music and friendly staff. Surprised that even on a typical weekday, the place is very popular. It’s a pity that only drinks and snacks, there is no any food, but it’s not a problem if you want to relax and enjoy the moment.
MoreFantastic place, one of my favourite in Gdańsk. Beautiful jazz in the background, old fashioned design, which makes place a comfy and relaxing space, very nice and pleasant staff, tasty cakes and good coffee, that looks just like heaven. Artistic surrounding, definitely will go back there anytime!
MoreBrilliant place. The atmosphere is amazing. So many details you cant take it all in with just one visit. So much too look at its crazy but its all all blends together brilliantly. The drinks are top notch as well and have as much attention to details with amazing taste. Best café Ive ever been to. Specially loved their White Russian.
MoreCame here with a group of travelers looking for coffee. Spent too long ordering because I was distracted by the beautiful decoration. They have reserved spots with sofas for large groups. Got to try all three cakes (only 13 złoty!and all three are delicious.
MoreNice place, I think its a good place to have beer in the evening, as I can see there are lights, sparkling and shining.
MoreGreat bar! Spent 3 days in gdansk and visited every day from beers, cocktails, coffee and cake.Loved the playlists, love the atmosphere and decor. Great bar tenders and thank you to the barmaid who recommended Nie/Mięsny for our vegetarian fix on our last night. We will return........
MoreReally nice cafe & bar. Friedly staff and really unique interior. Nice atmosphere
MoreCozy place. My cappuccino was really good and the price reasonable. They have many different kinds of coffees and I am sure that every coffee lover would appreciate that. When we were there it was really crowded and as it is self service we had to wait long time standing. That was a disadvantage of the place.
MoreVery cozy atompshere, great drinks and prices, friendly staff and my favourite pub in gdansk :)
MorePersonally I consider this place as a most lovely coffee spot in Gdansk. It is not a chain shop, it is totally unique. Jozef offers a wide selection of flavoured and traditional coffees, the service is very kind and open (and they speak English). The name comes after the famous Josef K. from Kafka’s novel. So the names of the coffees enlisted in the menu - go and try “Coffee for a man lost in time”. And remember to take some pictures as well as note the address down - I’m pretty sure you will want to come back there each time you visit Gdansk.
MoreFantastic environment and great music. Theres so much to see which makes it worth a visit just looking at the interior. The people working here are friendly and served us fast. We tried one drink each which was on the menu as a special Joseph K drink. The where unfortunately not a hit. Didnt taste to much. But the range of drinks is quite big so definitely worth a visit.
MoreGreat time in this place. Is so quiet and it has a lot of interesting stuff. Great coffe and beers, not far from the main cathedral. Staff friendly and cheap.Great, Good and Cheap.
MoreSuch a cool bar! Very good vibes with great music, nice bar staff, good menu, excellent drinks, lovely balcony with gorgeous views, funky interior... definitely recommended!
MoreGreat bar in the evening. The classic cocktails taste great (15-29 zloty), as do their signature ones (20-25 zloty). Amazing decor and open untill 2am. Would really recommend this place!
MoreBest coffeehouse in whole Gdańsk.I was looking a long time time for a moody, cosy and nice place to drink well prepared cappuccino. Finally I found one.Józef K. has a nice terrace (typical for gdańsks tenementswith a view of whole Piwna street.Interior is well designed. Packed with antiques and old books whole room makes impression as if it was taken out of Kafkas world.Coffee and drinks are served by qualified and helpfull staff. The only con is the toilet. Its a bit to dark and makes impression as if it was dirty and not cleaned for a long time. Green walls painted with graffiti are not nice to look at to be honest.I highly recommend it for those who like good coffee and want to spend nice time in the old city centre.
MoreIrrespective of whether you’re a Kafka buff or not (the cafe is named after the lead character from The Trial by Franz Kafka), you will love this quirky Kafka-esque cafe that’s warm, cosy and hip all at once. During the day, there’s yummy cakes you can also have. The drinks are great, the ambience unique and the service is warm. Must visit when you’re in Gdansk.
MoreInterior is so interesting and quirky - based on a book called The Trial, which I need to read now! Drinks are fantastic too, but the hot drinks take a while to make so be prepared for a wait at busy times
MoreGreat atmosphere, tasty (sweetcraft cocktails. Cozy atmosphere during the daytime. In nighttime it can be hard to find free table (but youre lucky if you with big company, cause theres one reserved for such occasion), there is low light and pretty loud.
MoreCool place to meet up for coffee or drink on a casual setting. Order at the bar and find a place to seat.
MoreAmazingly atmospheric place, full of old school charm. Descent coffee, great music. Come early in the morning to have the place for yourself for a brief magical moment
MoreOne of my absolute favourite places! I used to go there when it was still located in Sopot. It hasnt lost its quirky atmosphere after moving to Gdansk. Great selection of beer and spirits.
