Best sushi spot highly recommend to anyone in town

I love sushi, and there is no better place than Joyces Sushi! The food was tasty!

Ive been a sushi fan at many fine sushi restaurants on the west coast. The restaurant is very comparable to Musashi in Palm Desert, but noisier. The quality at Joyces is very good, the presentation is excellent, the sashimi slices are a little thin, the nigiri isnt overwhelmed by a large lump of rice, and the prices are high (but so are many in this market). I sampled 2 ea. blue fin, yellow fin and albacore tuna, one eel, miso soup, and the bill was about $100 for one person, with one bottle of saki. This is a popular restaurant so make a reservation or arrive early.

Moved out to the Desert four years ago, took me this long before I found this place. Good atmosphere, good people, great sushi. I would name the places not to go but the list is too long. 😂

I placed a take out order and it was prepared in a timely manner. The staff were friendly, the sushi was very good. The crazy thing is the staff wearing or should I say the majority of staff that had masks didnt wear them correctly. Some around the chin, some with the nose uncovered. Idiots. Wear them correctly or not at all. 11/2/22 I went again and this time for dine in. Upon arrival one booth was available, which is good to see the place full. The service was very attentive. The food even better and it all adds up to a wonderful experience.

Great sushi. Baja, Fresh King and eel asparagus rolls all very tasty and fresh.

Almost everything was superb. Sushi and sashimi fresh and delicious presentation was beautiful. The only complaint I had was the spider roll which was overcooked and tasted reheated and was heavily battered all of which was very unusual. But that is the only complaint everything else was above expectations.

A bit surprised by the price but ordered anyways. The cuts of fish with the nigiri we order were massive! Massive, tender, fresh and delicious. Definitely going to be a regular stop for us during our monthly trips through the desert.

Anyone who actually wants sushi or sashimi will LOVE this place. Incredible quality fish. We have spent 3 times as much on fish that was 1/2 the quality and enjoyed this place much more. The food is top notch and the service was awesome. Never had to ask for anything, waiters were very good. We will definitely be back!!

Fresh fish every day, best sushi in the desert.

We were seated at the bar. The restaurant overall was too DARK (they kept as minimum light as possible). Miso soup arrived quickly, as well as my Dragen rolls.

Fresh sushi is difficult to find here. This place does a pretty good job for the middle of the desert.

This is definitely the best Sushi and portions in the desert.

Highly recommend! The Cowboy Roll and Spicy Fried Tuna Roll were our favorites. Very good!

If you haven’t tried Joyce’s Sushi you need too. The food was incredible and the service was just as good. Me and the fam will definitely be back!!

Went for dinner with my son and husband and was not disappointed! Everything was delicious, the bluefin tuna was so fresh it melted in our mouths. The fresh Wasabi on top was soooo good! The baked scallop roll was out of this world! The staff was very pleasant, we really enjoyed doing at the bar to watch the preparation. We will definitely be back!

So Joyce’s sushi, what to say??? Well it was reasonable. We ordered to take away so understandable it wasn’t ever going to be perfect but sadly my sushi came with a severe lack of ginger and wasabi and I was hoping to spice my night up with this food!! Overall it was okay tho and il give it another go when I return to rancho mirage but next time il eat in!!

A better Sushi aficionado than I would give it 5 stars (and has). When ordering, we didnt realize each dish included four bites, so we over-ordered. Plenty of leftovers, and everything was fantastic!

Sushi roll pieces were way too big, which ruins sushi for me. They were also over-sauced, another thing that ruins sushi for me. Half of the rolls we ordered had tons of imitation crab in them. I would never go back

The amount of seafood used to make each piece of sushi is the most of any place ive been to in the coachella valley, extra fresh and yummy too

I ate a lot of sushi in the 70 s and early 80s. Moved to valley in 85 and changed my life. Just Tried Joyces - very busy, lots of staff, huge menu hard to understand. Miso soup excellent. Tuna roll fair.Wont go back there.

Sushi was delicious and beautifully presented but the price per roll seemed pretty pricey for the size. However the staff was friendly and the food came out quickly.

Was disappointed in my experience at Joyces. The floors were very dirty. They looked like it needed to be vacuumed badly. The restrooms were disgusting and not cleaned. During my meal I had to keep asking my waitress (x3for soy sauce. Felt rushed when given my food because I had minimal chance to ask for additional items. I would not recommend Joyces to anyone I know.

Friendly, quick service, generous portions, and lots of menu options! From the moment we entered, we felt very welcomed. The food was tasty. The special(tyrolls were a little pricey, around $15 for some. But I was really impressed by the variety of rolls.

This is tucked away in a corner of a strip mall near Gelsons grocery. The atmosphere is a bit dark, it is inside dining, but we all loved our food. We all had bento box lunches with a variety of teriyaki and sushi. This is my new favorite teriyaki place in the desert, very tender meat and great sauce.

Great Japanese restaurant with sushi rolls and also hot food like ramen, tempura and teriyaki. Generous portions.

My wife and I have been to Joyce’s 3 times since being in Palm Springs and this is a great sushi spot. The best rolls are the protein and baked lobster! Sean is also a really nice server and has taken care of us every time.

Best sushi in the area. The fish is always fresh and tender. Always good portions. We normally get the nigiri and the seaweed salad. The Cajun salmon nigiri is particularly good - a unique seasoning and the fish is just slightly seared. My favorite.Friendly service. And is still open for takeout during the pandemic semi-shut-down.

This place is my favorite Sushi restaurant. Everyone has different flavors and options about food but if you like sushi, definitely this place is for you. Ive been many times Joyces Sushi and it never disappointed me. Great taste and fresh fish. Its really busy on peak times but worth to try it. Its great place for Sushi and I love this place.

Run from this place...the service is awful. I had to call on 3 different waiters to attend to me during my lunch. If you like good service during your dining, please do not patronize this restaurant. Never once did anyone come to my table checking to see if everything was alright.I have been to many Japanese restaurants and I have never been charged for white rice. No restaurant will stay in business long with this sort of shady/over priced business model.I was charged $2.50 for a rice bowl of 3 ounces. Had they filled the rice bowl instead of 3/4 full for the lunch special, I wouldnt have to request for additional rice. RUN, I tell you... to a more customer worthy restaurant!

Cool atmosphere inside. Booths and tables. Sushi bar in center. Had a draft Sapporo and it was super cold, in a Sapporo mug. Hit the spot on a hot day.Food was good, huge portions. Service was alittle lacking after meal was served. Didnt follow up and ask how food was and left premises before giving us the bill. Had to ask remaining wait person for help and our check. Would still go back and try again though.

Great sushi! There is a different hint of uniqueness to each dish from a touch of mild garlic to fresh fried Panko crunch. The oil for frying is clean which is apparent in the taste of the tempura. Each sushi delivered a mouthful of flavorful combinations. Friendly service also. A must try for Desert Japanese.

Almost unbearably bland food. Very nice plating tho. The rolls are very deceiving, they look delicious and smell great but when you take a bite out of them you are left searching for the true flavor of that roll. Service is questionable, I love sushi and every time I visit a sushi restaurant I order a variety of rolls, this time wasn’t any different, I ordered 5 rolls and 2 side dishes and the server helping questioned how much food We were ordering, what difference does it make to her? I know what I’m ordering and if anything they should be happy that I am spending my money here to try out what they have. Not to sound sensitive but I was a little offended. Nevertheless they brought all of our food and that’s when we discovered the Terribly bland food. Teriaki chicken roll was completely inedible, the chicken was extremely over cooked and dry, the sauce had a good flavor but couldn’t stand the taste of dry chicken. Service was questionable again at the end. I was left waiting over 15 minutes for our check after we finished. Not one waiter in sight, as if everyone went on break at the same time. Decent food but I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

We had lunch here after recommendations from a Palm Springs local. Everything was good. My fav miso soup by far! And spicy tuna was yummy and spicy. And she made me a delicious lychee martini. I recommend this place.

I absolutely love that Joyces sushi is a God Loving company. I give them 4 stars based on the total amount of times weve been here. Presentation is always great! I have been here several other times before and their sushi has always been great quality! For some reason, the quality was not there this time. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Took away 1 star for that. The miso soup was a little too salty, the rice was a little dry on the top and mushy on the bottom. The rolls are pretty large which are great portions. One roll was a little flavorless. The lobster roll was a lot better in flavor but was a little too soggy for me. The service was great! Received my rolls right away and the staff was so friendly and kind!
