Journalist in Varna

Positive points:Nice sea view from the hotel and friendly staff at the restaurant.Negative points:The description and pictures on Booking do not reflect the reality:The hotel’s private beach is almost inexistent, it is just a small sandbank with 3-4 umbrellas. The beach is dirty : a large number of algae stands there and the smell is nauseating.Bad free Wi-Fi connection, better using our own 4G connection.The balcony was right next to the neighbor’s one : no privacy. There were a lot of insect nests all along balconies celling. The glass separating our balcony from our neighbor’s was broken and the furniture was made of cheap plastic.Ugly room: White walls, no decoration and old furnitures, feeling of being in a hospital roomWe asked for one double bed and had two simple beds next to each other. They were not well made and not comfortable.The room was equipped with a TV from the 50’s which did not work.No bedside lamp as it was shown on the pictures on Booking.The shower towels were dirty.The room was supposed to be equipped with a Minibar but the fridge was empty.The carpet of the room was completely damaged.Food was not tasty. you better pay to eat out.For all those reasons we decided to leave the hotel since it were our last two days in Bulgaria. We asked to be partially reimbursed for the two next nights we had booked but they told us it was not possible, they didnt do any gesture to compensate and no solution was given to improve our experience in the hotel.We will never recommended this hotel. It was our worst experience.
