Joubert House has quite a few examples of early South African life. Its easy to find being on the main road in Montagu. I especially enjoyed the Kitchen which has an interesting peach pit floor. There is also a very interesting piano. Well worth a visit.

Beautifully restored homestead, which gives a good insight into days past.One of three museums you can visit for the price of one.There are not many historic homesteads open to the public, this was a treat.

Very interesting history in this old house. We were given a personal tour and that brought the old artifacts to life (the hand cranked peach peeler is an example). Would recommend.

A MUST visit when in Montagu. I took the tour with a staff member who were very much knowledgeable about the history of the house and the herbal medicines. Beautiful looked after monument and garden with rich history.
