Outstanding! Very interesting.
Great tour, with a great history and tasty wines.
Wine tasting meh. We went here because we were waiting for a wine tasting at Bacalhõa. Quite disappointed. Wrong glass for an expensive tasting. Zero enthusiasm from the receptionist, that appeared quite bored. Maybe a wine tour here can be very nice, but I wouldn’t recommend to go there just for a tasting.
Amazing place to visit and taste! I liked the tour guy who was very helpful and willing to answer all questions I had. I have bought two bottles of white dry wine and hoping to bring them carefully back home.
Wine tasting at its best with a guided tour.
Wine tour with in English. Lady guide very good. Tried three 🍷 all good. Very enjoyable experience. Highly Recommended
I liked so much this experience! Thanks for sharing your story and the places to visit.
Tour of Cellar was great with fantastic wine tasting at the end. Will need a guide or car to visit. Place was really nice.
Short but interesting tour with a nice guide. This wine house has a rich history, nice wines and is worth the visit.
Its amazing cellar with interesting story, wines and history. Tour was very detailed, explaining every aspect of wine making.
Great winery and great guided tour
A must to visit and do same wine taste and of course to buy
A fantastic family enterprise. Full of tradition and professionalism. The price-quality ratio of Portuguese wines is exceptional.
Nice visit and wine tasting experience
Great tour around the adega, and wine taste!
One of the best wine tours ever had. Including small museum, gardens, historical cellars and a wine tasting. Strongly recommend to book a visit in advance.
The wines were good and the service was also good. The tour however is not worth it. The tour is very short and the tour guide had a strong accent which was hard to understand. Go for the wines and browse for the history
Very rude staff, blunt answers. I got shouted a “you are not allowed in!” When I was about to enter a room by mistake. I’m not sure what was in there to be so secret. You feel like you are bothering the people there and not welcomed. But an advice to the manager to train the staff to smile and use “good morning”, excuse me, “I’m sorry this will not be possible”, “ we are now fully booked but I can offer you another timeslot”. That makes you feel welcomed.
The best wineyard I ve seen so far in Portugal ! Beautiful
Our guide was great, explained us everything really clearly. The visit was interesting and we tried a multitude of wines and Moscatels.
Lovely place to get know more about Portuguese Muscatel Wine and also other wines. Did enjoy the story of place, degustation and shopping.
We seemed to be interrupting them when we asked for a tour. Were offered self service wine tasting from a vending machine.Went instead to Bacalhoa, just nearby, and recommend you do too.
It was a nice experience being here, the guide was very friendly and informative. The guided visit lasted about 30min and then was followed by wine tasting. Im not a wine expert to be judging a quality of wine, but the place itself was comfy to stay in and they let you stay for the tasting as much as you want. One thing to keep in mind is they want you to arrive strictly at time, but they own no parking, so it is best to come earlier in case you go by car, because it can be hard to find a place to park it.
This winery was great, the tour was very detailed and educational we were able to see the cellars and the barrels very up close. The tour wasnt too long either so that gave us time to look around the store before heading out.
Amazing tour!
Very interesting tour and delicous vine.
We came here for a little tour and wine tasting. The guide was very informative and eloquent, she encouraged us to ask questions. The tasting consisted of 2 wines - a red reserva and purple Muskatel (sweet wine). Both were very tasty. The prices in their on site store are very affordable. Wines start at 2,5 eur, but the very old muskatels go up to 1000 eur for special editions.
If you get Tania as your guide its the best tour ever!!! Totally recommend it
They have wine sellars tours with wine tasting at the end. You can see the sellars and listen to the story.
We had a great experience! The tour is very educational and entertaining. Tania was our guide and she was extremely friendly attentive, answering all our questions and giving very extensive answers. We had 2 wines to taste after a tour. You can also buy more glasses to taste. Highly recommended!
I loved the visit to the Quinta, and the staff was lovely and kind. I got two bottles after the tour and I can say, I really enjoyed that wine, specially the sweet white wine.
Went on a group tour and although it could be longer it was a nice intro into the company as they have a lot of history. At the end of the tour we were left to try the red wine & muscat but our guide then left. it would have been nice for her to explain how to try the wine.
The best wine I have ever tasted! Definitely the best wine of this region of Portugal by comparison. I highly recommend trying the Periquinta Reserve. This is a must visit. Andre was an exceptional tour guide and went above and beyond to ensure an incredible experience. The wine is very affordable!
Great experience with enlightened information.
A beautiful winery to visit! The moscatel wine was very unique!
This is a lovely old winemaker with a really long and interesting history. Im particularly a fan of the sweet wines that they are known for so seeing how they got started was really interesting! The tour is short and sweet at around half an hour to 45 minutes and is just right before the tasting. You get a pleasant still around the lovely grounds and a nice tour of their barrels, cellars and collections of old equipment and medals from hundreds of years ago.The tasting is very pleasant and I recommend you take your time as it gives you some insight into the wines you might like to buy before you leave.Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we had a lovely time!
Great wines and friendly staff!!!
Excellent winery with a rich and long history of wine making. A tour is highly recommended as they explain their origins and history including prizes won throughout the years. The private collection is impressive and the cellars with Gregorian chants add some unique atmosphere to the experience. Highly recommended.
For 3 euros, you are not allow to expect more.. just take it if you like fast and cheap... if you are really into wine. It is not the place for you... the two wines at the end are ok..
The tour was great. I had a headset that gave the tour in English which was great. It was here that I had my introduction to Moscatel ......and I liked it a lot.
Awesome tour. So much history in this place, and it is very well preserved. Loved touring the cellars and seeing the familys private cellar. And the wines are good too, of course. Although Im not a sommelier by any means, but I couldnt taste huge differences between their table wines and their more expensive bottles.Although the differences can certainly be tasted in the different years of Moscatel.
It is a good visit... but I would like to have some more detail about how they produce the wine.. and not just about the history of the winery.
We had a tour as group with Dinner and wine tasting. It was simply fantastic. Very intersting old place with a lot of history. The wines are really great!
Great wine tasting for 30 min with a sympathetic woman! We went around the garden and the celler for red wine and muscato wines. After the tour we got to taste two kinds of wines . At the shop there are many tastings you can try before buying.
Nice experience, taste very nice wines.
In this place you can feel the spirt of last age. Profesional stuff describe you all and huge story of this wanderfull place.I recomend it all who wants to learn something about vine production.
Interesting visit of wine sellers. Nothing really special but worth the time.
Nice visit and an interesting overview of a family business run for almost 200 years. One of top 5 wine producers in Portugal, still family-owned. Surprising muscat de Setúbal, tasting is included.
A very nice selection of their wines are available for tasting, but the charge you for every glas. This is allright for the more exclusive wines but a bit too much for the cheap house wines. All in all it is recommendable
Impressive historic wine cellars with a great tour and a grand variety of wines frm different wine regions!
