K. Hussein St. 51, Amman, Jordan, As Salt
Jordan River Hotel - in As Salt, Jordan
For the price (6 dinarsits unbeatable! staff very helpful too
The hotel is very well situated, near downtown Amman. I am disappointed of the property of the hotel. We stayed there two nights in two different rooms (two different reservationsand the sheets werent changed, the bathroom wasnt clean as well. When I demanded to the owner very nicely if she could give me proper sheets, she reacted bad and told me that the sheets were changed. I showed to her the hairs on the pillow and only at that moment she gave me another pillow that took from another room. I dont want to speak bad for them, but I didnt appreciate to sleep on sheets used by others (despite the fact that the hotel wasnt expensiveand the reacted of the owner.
If you are on a budget this is the place. Very conveniently located, however it is on a fairly loud road. The women who were working there were incredibly kind and helpful with sorting out our trips. It was cheap as well. The rooms are not the most beautiful or the cleanest but youve got a place to stay for not too much money.
Extra good location just in center of vast Amman.Good service including night checkin and English speaking staff.Tea, sugar, pita.
Great staff. Super helpful and perfect location.
Very nice, respectful and helpful customer service. They always look after their customer needs. The hotel is completely clean and cozy. They provide hot water in the bathrooms while there is lots of hotels in Jordan tries to save electricity. The only issue I found with this hotel is that it’s cold in the winter if u are living in the dormitory rooms (unless u book a private room which has an air conditioning service).Liked this place and i have been staying there for over than a month. Keep going.!
Very good for shopping
Nice hostel with good price for travellers.
3rd floor and no Windows ???? It feels like a basement....
I’ve booked 2 nights there, and literally they told me , Arabic are not welcome there .. the receptionist was the rudest person I’ve ever meet in my life I’ve been traveling and staying in hostels for more than 15 years , never heard that some worker would say why would you stay here it’s a place for poor people :, beside she was like you could stay here but you should pay the double because you booked online :, so I went one floor under and I found a hotel called Nobel hotel the price was 3 more JOD but with a privet double bed , a privet bathroom , and includes big breakfast with many different plates beside they speak good English and always smile , actually they know what they are doing in Nobel hotel . Cheers
No soap in the toilette. Dirty rooms, no air conditioner. Dirty toielette. The rooms need to be painted. Kitchen is super dirty. Old beds which keep making annoying sounds with any move during your sleep.I will never come here again!
I think best service according to the price in downtown Amman. Especially for Solo Travelers.
Super hospitality. Im had beautiful days there but they refused to confirm my stay to booking.com and I was punished in the app and lost discounts.
Very good place to stay ,friendly staf ,I lake it
Very friendly staff, but the hostel itself was more old-fashioned and less cosy than it looked on pictures. E.g. the hotel one floor lower looks way better (but prices are probably higher). Location is very good though!
We came here as tourists and left as friends. The owner is absolutely amazing and very friendly. You get a nice breakfast of breads, egg, falafel and juice. The rooms themselves are very comfortable (especially the bedand very clean. It’s located very centrally to plenty of restaurants and shops. What’s there not to like about this hotel!
3 stars because the owner is a good person and helps you in any possible way, but the rooms are not very good.
Nice staff. Not very comfortable bed
Not bad place! Locals and Arabs are not allowed in Dormitories like other budget hotels and hostels in Jordan but they have quite acceptable prices private rooms. They have nice common room to socialize with other guests but the hotel doesnt have the social vibes. The staff i think a bit moody and not that helpful.
Poor place, not clean and cheap, but its very close to the city center.
Friendly and helpful staff. they can help you with your plan to visit Jordan. highly recommend.
Great value for the price. Central location, clean, and comfortable. Reception kindly provided assistance with knowing how to get around the area.
I get different from what Ive...chek in at 3pm..shared bathroom...breakfast exluded
Owner was such a fun.....so was the city. European Arabic experience..
Not the fanciest place, however very nice and helpful stuff. You would probably hear a lot of noise in the room from the highway outside. Pretty clean.
Good hotel, there is a lift to the hotel. Cheap price in Winter. I did not stay here but I visited to meet a French tourist whom I shared a car a tour of Jordan North. This was early November 2017.
The owner is very nice, the conditions could be better..but the breakfast was amazing :)
The guy and girl on check in were very nice, good people, helpful and friendly. Different girl the next day, not so much. Definitely needs a good cleaning of obvious things that there really is no excuse or reason (just dont careto overlook. If you dont want to clean the bathroom sprayer, at least replace them. I only have it a 2 because of the 2 people that were there first day, and its a good location.
Great place to stay in Amman. Very clean and the staff are friendly.
Suprisingly clean inside the building. The entrance may look dirty and spooky with old rusted elevator. But the room is clean, shared dining area is small yet clean.the attendant lady is very friendly and warm.
Great little place to stay .... looks a little rough on.the outside ... but once inside it is a great place with really nice and helpful hosts. Great breakfast came with the room.
Location is little good but its so clean place. Breakfast is good.
Economic hotel with good rooms and excellent location in down town.
Nice hotel. It is situated in a great location in a heart of the city downtown. Nearby are many restaurants and shops with local products. Host was very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is relatively clean. Offer privacy. Excellent rates. With a good location despite the fact that the whole building looks sketchy ... really sketchy.
I booked a room here for two nights via AirBnB. The room, while being cold and lacking a window was fine. Although it would have been nice to know about the fact that it didnt have a window, but you get what you pay for.The trouble was with the car and driver that I booked through the hotel for a tour of historic Kings Highway. I teach ancient civilizations, so was looking forward to my trip. The hotel told me that it would cost 100JD for the day with a touristic car that had WiFi. In reality, the car that they gave me was a regular (unsafetaxi whose driver, it turned out, was not allowed to drive outside of Amman. There was also no wifi.Hany, the hotel manager, refused to take any responsibility for this. When I confronted him about it, his explanation was that the original driver called in sick and the agency sent another car without telling Hany. There are dozens of other budget hotels in the neighborhood. Stay it one if those.
Old but big rooms and tidy. Nice staff trying to help you
Beds, bathroom and WiFi are ok. Other than that you have to pay. Air conditioning is 1 dinar per person LOL. It’s located in a shabby building that’s falling apart, although the interior is fine. It’s next to a highway so it gets quite noisy.
Stayed here two nights in the double room with king size bed with shared bathroom, facing the main road.As previously stated; if youre a light sleeper than you probably wont be able to fall asleep due to the noise of the main road, however, we slept really good in the comfortable bed.The room was simple and tidy, the shared bathroom could use a good clean with a high pressure cleaner but the shower was hot so that was enjoyable. There was no water when we arrived but we told the reception immediately and it was fixed within 5 minutes.
The dorm rooms are good, sadly you dont get much wifi in them. The toilet doesnt have a seat. The shower is ok, but could have a bit more pressure. Overall a good hostel.
Very good for 1 star hotel. The host makes all the difference
They (receptiondont let us to check in although we booked through Booking
Dont book any of the rooms facing the road; the windows are laughable and it sounds like the traffic is inside your room. Impossible to sleep.
Perfect for lone or group travellers. Mr. Hani will explain anything you wany to know or to have. He arranged a cheaper taxi service from one place to another; draws guide map for any establishment like money exchange or restaurant; and should-be-costs from 1 place to another. - from Philippines con 💌-
Nice and clean and welcoming although a bit shabby. Fantastic breakfast
This worst hotel Ive ever seen this is not called a hotel . All u guys are lies. U guys are probably the owner of the hotel, this is the nastiest hotel Ive ever seen ,BE AWARE GUYS !!! DONT BELIEVE THOSE COMMENTS. if your a cracke head then this is your please.
Really nice place to stay - very central to the main touristy stuff for Amman (Citadel, theatre and museuns), the owner and staff are great and help negotiate great rates for tours (we went to Jerash, Aljounn, Dead Sea, mount nebo and baptism site through them). Rooms are basic but all you need really. Highly recommended
Clean rooms and nice people, but I find it expensive. I didnt like car noise all day and most of the time he night.
If u are expecting a very basic but clean hostel, this is ur place. The owner is a really great guy and helps u out with everything u need. Its close to a lot of restaurants in good downtown location.
