Joma Bakery Cafe That Luang - Cafe in Vientiane, Laos
Every morning first stop where I eat my favorite breakfast. Food is really good. Service excellence
Good and fresh food.
Carrot cake is super
Cozy coffee bar, good coffee choice with very reasonable and competitive price.
The Ruben sandwich and coffee are very nice. I needed more cream cheese for the bagel salmon but the staff were very obliging. Nice place to eat a small lunch or breakfast.
Nice meal
Still pricey, but top quality food and coffee!
Delicious Mexican Wrap and Tuna Melts ,my friend and I enjoyed the food! Good customer service with the staff with smile on their eyes.
A good place for coffee and pastries.
Nice place. For seats inside more COVID distancing needed. Seating is too close!!
👍
Location of cafe is very nice. Car parking is available next to the cafe and in temple area. Totally, if you like quiet cafe, it might not be that one.
Nice place to hangout with friends and great drink
Great food especially the donuts but today the lady behind the counter tried to palm off old discounted donuts at full price. She totally knew what she was doing. As a paying customer who buys donuts from you quite a bit, I shouldnt be treated like that, in fact at this level of buying and selling it should be all about customer satisfaction.
I have tried two times the Coconut cake from Joma Bakery. and it was great! But last time in 8- march i bought one cake with coconut flavour, and requested to write on it "8-March 2020". I didnt pay close attention to it. When come to home and opened it. What i see. I see mistake "8-mach 2020". Please pay more attention if requested to write on the cakes.
One of the established bakeries in Vientiane where I am never disappointed. The prices in their menu and the price of their baked goods are on the expensive side but they are of high quality. The place is also clean, spacious with free wifi, and the service is good.
High quality products. Service better than other similar places, but still, there is room for improvement. Customer engagement, English skills, the atmosphere could be warmer with a bit of extra training and effort.
Used to eat the breakfast burritos here on the regular until they swapped out the homemade salsa for tomato paste.. tastes terrible now..
Lovely tasty food. I had a hummus wrap and pumpkin soup. The staff were very helpful. It was very clean with the food served cleanly. Includes free WiFi and free top up of water bottle with clean chilled water. This is on a bus route so its easy to get there. They now accept credit card and the local bank app which is handy.
Excellent and quick service. A great place to order simple sandwiches that you can customise to your liking. The menu is in English if you need it, and there is a wide variety of coffee and other drinks.
Nice pumpkin pie, apple pie, and mango crumble and everything else: hummus plate, turkey dinner sandwich, taco salad. They also have baked goods and bread you can buy takeaway. And free refill for Americano!
Pretty good, almost same as american prices, Ruben around 48,000 kip, pretty good chesse, love the chiken pesto and the new yorker, cant say much about the salad, but the banana chocolate chip muffin was decent, a little too sweet, the lemonade ice tea was good. They have bread just dont look fresh, nice place to bringe a date on a breakfast or lunch, thats about it.Anything else... nice location can see the traffic if your into cars...
Good place for breakfirst on the morning after our exercise
Nice cooling place. Very friendly. Good strong coffee. What I love about this place apart from cleanliness is the free water refill dispenser! Reducing plastic waste! Well done Joma!
Good coffee but Wifi is verry bad😒😒 if you want to use 3 or 4 devices, you need to buy 3 or 4 time to get wifi access code from reciept..hasha, Lol😠😠
Great cafe experience. Not so crowded and a lot of comfortable seats and big space to enjoy. There are several eletrobity outlets that cafe hoppers can use. Staff are quite friendly. A lot of food, meal, coffee, tea, and smoothy to offer. Overall is awesome!
Chai latte is so watery, so is the hot chocolate. Also eggs arent cooked properly. Ive been there a few times and its not the best café in town Kaogee or Naked Espresso for coffee.
Where to start? The ruben was so darn good. It’s been ages since I’d had a ruben - and I was so happy! My husband got the taco salad. He thought it was pretty good, but a bit on the small side. Thankfully he finished up the kid’s BLT. But the coconut cake! So delicious. I’ve since recommended it to several friends traveling to Vientiane on visa runs. They’ve all loved it!
There are 3 of these Joma Cafes in Vientiane, and they are IMO the best coffee shops in the city. Certainly nowhere else compares to their bakery, which has really high quality cakes, pies, etc. The cinnamon buns are especially delicious. Only thing to complain about might be the lack of parking, but thats just how it is in a city center.
Lovely, tasty food and good coffee, this is a good place for breakfast but a little expensive
Taste good and cheap.
Very delicious moccha freeze and milkshakes. Comfy place with AC. Prices on the expensive side. But worth it.
Very nice menu, quick service and food great quality. Will defo go back...
Can’t say enough about my great experience here today (first time visit). We had been walking around sightseeing and it was SO HOT. We needed a place to relax with AC and grab a bite to eat. Perfect spot! Wish we had our laptops with us we’d stay a few hours and get some work done.Coffee: I got the iced caramella (caramel lattefor 25k kip which was delicious!Food: I got the chicken pesto sandwich but got it on Focaccia instead of the baguette and it was to die for! Must try it! 38k kip. My bf got the breakfast burrito for 33k kip and said it was ok but not great.Slightly more pricey than other local places but not pricey by US standards and so worth it for the atmosphere: cold AC, lots of seating with some regular tables and some cozy chairs, lots of outlets accessible and WiFi for working, free water/refills from a filtered water cooler. Also: staff very friendly and spoke good English. Even able to accommodate my request for a different bread and no olives!I will definitely check out their other locations around SE Asia!!
A well established and one of the first properly bakeries in Vientiane, which originally called Healthy and Fresh. Good bread, carrot cake and coconut sponge cake. And I like their cooffe, good organic cooffe from Boleven plateau. But BLT in focaccia bread is smaller portion than it was.
Staff are very and attentive. Has a variety of food and drinks. Especially nice to escape the heat of Vientiane.
Great food, friendly staff, perfect WiFi system and connection, nice drinks. This is a perfect place to get away from the midday hotness of Vientiane. The croissants are almost like theyre in Paris
Good Coffee and tea and nice snacks in a good atmosphere and with aircon. Good to relax during a City Trip by foot.
Decent coffee. Good selection of pastries. The AC was too cold and blowing so hard the whole place was windy. Lots of mosquitoes inside too. Bright atmosphere. Very cheery but not what I would call cozy
Modern Cafe near the That Luang, the perfect place for a meeting as the place is very clean, modern with a/c and confortable seats. The food is good, its more expensive than local places but you pay for the comfort. The wifi didnt work when I was there. The place was completely full at 1:30pm a Friday. I went back there at 8pm and it was totally empty. They close at 9pm
Our regular weekend breakfast place with great choices of bakery sandwiches, cakes and coffee drinks.
Not a bad place if you are in need of a Western style coffee shop - with prices to match.
Am from Wellington so have got use to a very high standard of coffee. Have not gone to a large number of cafes in Vientiane but this cafe, a franchise, is the only place to date that has a reasonable standard of coffee.
Best location after you walk visit Thatlouang stupa then you may have a seat here to claiming down your heat with coffee and bakery
A touch pricey, but its a higher end chain somewhat like a Starbucks so thats to be expected. Food, drinks, and service were excellent.
I enjoyed coffee and sweets. At night sometimes they clean up the room. So better go in the morning or the afternoon.
Sandwiches and quices are great and fairly good value. Coffee gets a free refill. Wifi is free but not very good I think as it doesnt require a password everyone locally is using it.
Joma is one of the well known cafes in Vientiane. That Luang branch is somehow different from other branches due to its quietness especially in the afternoon and on weekends. If you want to find a peaceful coffee shop, here is recommended.
Croissant and other bakeries were decent. The iced cocoa wasnt delicious at all tho.Good looking place.
Located at the corner of Nongbone Rd and Singha Rd. A bit noisy sometimes. Great coffees and fair prices. This is one of the three branches in Vientiane (Joma Nam Phou and Joma Phonthan).
