Good food, although dangerous for children, or anyone with sensitivity to smoke. Sadly no place for non smokers here, inside or outside. Constant barrage of smoke from other patrons. They take visa, that is a plus.

Fish and chips were really good. Chicken wings were also really good. Tasted like many Canadian bars. Perhaps some twist on wing flavors to add a Dominican twist? Good food tho. They were playing bingo on Tuesday

Ive eaten here 2x and really enjoyed it. Canadian owned and frequented. The owner and his wife are there and friendly and will sit down and talk to you. We enjoyed their food. They have things like bingo nights and it seems a nice part of a nice community.

The food was ok waitress argued with my buddy about having a single bill presented to him he had clearly asked for two bills before we ordered and she even asked the names for each bill. Her attitude was not pleasant

if you dont see the owners, dont bother going in. without their oversight youll get poor quality and poor service. i was served a contaminated draft beer today and after i complained i received horrible service with only 3 customers in the bar, one of which was with me and when he complained about the lack of service the waitress yelled at him.

Decent pub style food in a foreign setting. Prices arent outrageous and its a good location to people watch. My only small quibble is smoking is allowed everywhere, which I find gross. It would be nice if there was a no smoking area. Will go again regardless.

One of my favorite restaurants in Sosua with consistently good specials and excellent draft beer. They take credit cards.

My go to bar. Canadian Bar. Of course there people from everywhere. Love the pirate bar theme also. They have 6 beers on tap and you can get a flight to try them. Good place to sit and people watch right at the front.

It was a busy night on Saturday evening with the dart tournament. Lots of friendly patrons and the staff as well. I ordered and enjoyed the pork filet with scalloped potatoes. Overall a delightful time.

Im a Brit. Jolly Roger reminds me of the popular pub grub restaurants. Its a place to meet many ex pats who go there for food, coffee or drinks. You can also play on the table and on Friday nights listen to live music as there are many talented musicians in the area. My Caribbean penguins who were creating a booklet called Sosua Art World were surprised by the character on the door as they looked for the many paintings on Sosua walls.

Visiting from the US and loved this place! The BBQ wings were awesome and the sub sandwiches were great also! Good service, fun atmosphere, and great Friday night live music! Will be coming back and recommending.

Service is friendly and good but my burger was way overcooked. The edges of the meat were crisp, the meat extremely dry. Also a bit small compared to other restauant in sosua for the price they charge.Then comes the second frustration. Half the restaurants include the tax in their pricing so when your bill is 382 pesos loke it says on the menu. That is what you pay. Here not so, add on a tax, add on a automatic tip and if you dare to pay with C.C. add on another fee and you are spending another 25 % of more. One thing if you serve great food and service but this place which is not bad just does not pay attention to detail and they should if they are going to charge like they do.

Always a great Tuesday and every 2nd Sunday at Hollys. Those are the Bingo days. Great people. Good food. Lots of laughs!! Would recommend to all.😉👍

Great Canadian Owners on the spot...excellent food, beer on tap and only a few in town have it including dark beer. Service was impeccable and the bar is extremely clean and well maintain.

Amazing hospitality by Patty and the entire staff. Tuesday Bingo was a blast and we returned on Thursday for karaoke night!!!Karen was our server both times and provided awesome service!! Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! Thanks for the great time!!#proudtobecanadian

Food took a long time to get to us at a non-busy time of day(11amfood was okay, not prepared right(bacon where no bacon was orderedautomatic tip. Prices were alright tho and the atmosphere was good.

Very friendly staff the only place in town that you know that youre not going to be sick afterwards. But a little bit expensive, dont be surprised of the 28% edit charges to your bill. Will give it a 4 star when they have more items in their menu and stop screwing people with outrageous taxes.

If you are visiting Sasua the Jolly Roger is a must good food a nice variety of Ales and wines beers to the staff and owners Perry & Kerry are very welcoming it made my holiday there very pleasing

Wow, where to start... great prices, top quality food, fantastic service. I truly had a fabulously awesome experience at Jolly Rogers. I am looking forward to taking part in all of their daily specials.I really gotta say, they put quality into their brand. I appreciate that!

I can see why this place is so popular. Its the staff. Very attentive, friendly, and speak english enough to understand you. The food is good, prices are decent, but most importantly, the service is great. The music is loud enough to hear, but not so loud you cant have a conversation. Will definitely be returning.

Upon arriving I was told by an older white female (possibly the ownerthat I couldn’t sit at the tables inside because it will be occupied later for Bingo.. The beer was nice and cold! Food is average, wouldn’t recommend it I ordered the fish and chips. This spot is a must for a much older crowd, me being in my early 20s I felt out of place here.

Great spot.Mmmmm Great Chicken Wings and Brrrr cold beer. Patti and Kelly are great hosts and operate a great Canadian bar/restaurant in beautiful Sosua Dominican Republic.. Visit them regularly at least twice a year while on Vacation..

Prices are high but I feel you get more than at other places, ambiance is great, decor is nice, and has nice activities based on days of the week. I feel the owners engaged. Not everything on the menu is worth it

We all had something different from the menu. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the honey garlic wings and the meatball sub. Staff are really friendly. Another great night in Sosua

This is my go-to place when Im in Sosúa. My friends and I have often eaten all three meals here - especially when a big event is on, like the Olympics! The ambiance is laidback, the staff is friendly, and the food and drink are a nice variety.Additionally, their Thursday night karaoke was a regular event for us to do with any visiting friends. They also have other weekly events, like live music, bingo, Fußball nights, and other things for a variety of ages. Definately give them a try!

This place has been the most disgusting food item I have ever eaten. Got the fish and chips under the batter it was wet and the fries were not cooked. The tarter sauce was mayonnaise and the ketchup tasted funny. At least the beer was cold... DO NOT ORDER FOOD.

I have been there for drinks a few times and I like the setup and atmosphere also the prices are reasonable. What I didnt like is that straws are automatically put into the drinks glasses. They need to be aware of plastic especially straws are the #1 contaminants of the ocean and with them being so close to the beach in the area where most of the dive centres are located, they should put up environmental awareness posters to discourage the use of straws and only give straws upon request. Or resort to a biodegradable straw ie hemp or bamboo

Excellent bar &grill. Patty and Kelly, the owners, along with their great staff provide great food and drinks in a very much relaxed atmosphere, within the bar. Very helpful if youre new to the area. Had many great nights there with laughs, fun and entertainment.

The food is not very tasty, rather - no. The place is attractive due to its atmosphere and different events.

Atmosphere is really nice, they play up the pirate theme well. Food and booze are reasonably priced during happy hour. Canadian couple owns the establishment and employs locals. Decent spot! Check it out.

Really great place! Another Canadian owned business in Sosua. The service here is great, the drinks are cold and the food is good. The food isnt amazing but their service is much better than places like chez Montreal so its worth going. And they have Caesars made with clamato! The decor is nice and their dog is the cutest thing ever. They have different events everyday (live music, karaoke, trivia, Bingo)

Good place for cheap beer and to relax and people watch. Their dog Bambi hangs out and is very sweet.
