John Bull - Pub in Troitsk, Russia
John Bull in Troitsk
Description
Great local, super cosy interior, great selection of craft beers, very friendly staff...
MoreNice pub,good music ,good prices
Good dejection of beers and tasty finger food. Prices are affordable.
One the older pubs in Moscow, its been around for yonks. The staff seemed to have stayed forever, so the service is really good. I like the food, might not be the healthiest but its tasty.
MoreTwo of two ales I ordered were off. Waited for 15 minutes to pay for one of them. The pub was great like 15 years ago, but now its only a pity shadow copy of the former one.
MoreThanks to Covid19 the bar was unusually quiet. I had some fish salad and wonderful Gostevoye beer. It was great.
MoreVery classy place, go there if you want to feel the Brittish pub feeling. Gritty music, nice choice of beers and foods, nothing special though, just like a real pub. I like it.
MoreGreat place. Best location
Nice place located centraly in Moscow. Good drinks and atmosphere
Nice food. Nice beer. Nice waitress.
English pub in Moscow. Service can be a bit hit and miss. Good selection of drinks and food
MoreThis pub has been working since 1997. The interior is old and pub-like. The atmosphere is somewhat stale. The service is ok. The food is mediocre at best. And yet this place is still very popular with foreign tourists and expats.
MoreOne of a few place in the capital where uou can order a nice 0.8 liter of Kilkenny
MoreNice. Traditional. Downtown. A piece of Britain in the heart of the Russian capital. Frequented by expats.
MoreWonderful beer. Great food
nice food and beer, nice and quick services
Its a bit hit and miss. The food is only so-so, the beer selection is ok if they have all the barrels in stock. It is more like an airport drinking establishment...I never felt at home there unlike many other Moscow bars. Definitely missing ambiance
MoreThats ok, but not more. Everything is a bit worn out, but maybe its planned to be so, waitresses are modestly dressed in comparison with some other beer restaurants
MoreDelicious beer and great company I spent time with.
Cool place. Quality food and beers
Typical English pub with variety of beer selections. Buffalo wings recommended.
Says: Great English pub in Moscow great food great, atmosphere, fine selection of beers wines and spirits it really is and really feels like going back in time and walking back into the pub in my home town during my student days back in the late 80s early 90s even down to the decor and the music they play. If youre in Moscow and you want a taste of nostalga for the days of your youth that remind you of home college, Uni and some of the best days of your life and all the memories that come with it you have to have a few ales and treat yourself to some fine pub grub either alone or with friends at The John Bull....
MoreVisited a number of times, last in December 2018, but never again. Has gone downhill and an increased number of quite aggressive customers who arrive in already a little the worse for wear. Had previously liked some of their beers (Harp for eg), but in December it was either fake or Russian made, had to send it back. Very disappointed.
MoreGood beer, fair price, good service dont sit under the stairs.
Pedestrian pub, benefits from central location. That is all.
Good old pub. Nothing new but expected quality.
Good pub, but often I cant order some beer items cause of ran out. Thats sad.
Good pubby atmosphere but Fullers brewery wouldnt be so proud with allegedly "authentic" London Pride served in this place.
MoreMock British bar primarily selling factory beer. Tables are often "reserved". Paying can be difficult and slow, even when sat at the bar.
MoreVery satisfied
Nice pub, very quite, good burgers, all russian waiters speaking a little english, good for watching matches, definitely will come again
MoreBest shakes on Moscow
They wont treat you right if youre not russian or look slightly different even if you show them all your documentation, definitely I wouldnt recommend this place, and anyways theyve got average beer at a very expensive price.
MoreGood beer good food a bit overpriced like Moscow in general
Nice bar Staff good
Nice place, nice beer
Nice British pub close to Arabat street. Everyone understands English. The service and food is good. The pub stocks a big range of draft and bottled beer. Went there twice while we were in Moscow. Lots of well positioned screens made watching the football games fun.
MoreNice place for a beer. Cozy and pleasant.
A classic pub with space for slot of people. Wooden tables and chairs, nice pics on the walls and a great atmosphere.Unfortunately they didnt have all the beer there is on the menu, only a few basic beers. And it seemed expensive even for Moscow standards.
MoreNo frills but good beer friendly service and good crowd
Nice place, kitchen and service. Many expats due to ministry in vicinity
Nice and polite stuff, good beer, great location. Bit expensive like everything in center of Moscow ;)
MoreGreat pub excellent location
A very good english pub. The food is a little pricey, but its worth the cost. And you better come for the drinks. Very well beer as well.
MoreDropped in by chance to have a bite for lunch and ordered Fish & Chips with a green salad - this is what I got. A new, strange interpretation of this dish.I could imagine that this is a good, entertaining place in the evening. But luckily Moscow is a place of many choices, if it comes down to pick a tasty restaurant for lunch.
MoreWorst pub near Arbat. Slow service, saw few time how they are trying to sell old beer. Ugly food like suhariki.
MoreGood condition💥 excellent beer🍻
nice selection of beers and ales
Poncey place with over zealous staff and overpriced beer.It is ok if you really feel like an English pub however it is not one.Few businessmen and hookers plus some russian drunks.I guess area does not help...
MoreThe best pub in the area, bit pricey though.
