British and global comfort-food favourites fill the menu at this child-friendly chain eatery.
Seated by Anna S who was cold and direct, given no menu and a couple behind me were served with a menu and a "how are you". Got my menu a few minutes later, staff in general didnt seem particularly friendly or warm compared to every other restaurant nearby. The stools at the front are incredibly uncomfortable. Fish and chips were nothing special - go down the road to The Conductor for much better service and food.
Everything was great! Chicken very flavorful...the strips and club sandwich was best Ive had in UK. Brownie was awesome. Charming place with friendly staff.
This is my first experience of a Joes Kitchen, and not a bad experience. The breakfast menu had a few options, I am veggie so chose the veggie breakfast, I did have a choice, bot always available at some restaurant. The staff were polite, service quick, table clean. We will look out for others in the chain in our travels.
Friendly staff with good customer service, food was tasty and a good portion size
One of the only places open late in London. The food was good, not amazing but not bad. I’d recommend if you’re looking for a proper meal late at night.
My mother and I came here for dinner whilst visiting St Paul’s Cathedral. All I can say is wow! My mother had the chicken and bacon linguine and I had ham, egg and chips. We were both absolutely delighted with our meals. Our waiter was so lovely (as were all the staff we encounteredhe even suggested that we try Joes gin of the week, which was Bloom gin. Excellent hospitality, will be returning!
A nice place for a quick bite. The people are nice, the interior is warm and inviting and the food tasted nice as well. No high-standard fine dining here, just a comfort meal for around 15 pounds.
I had the set menu as it was a Christmas lunch for 18 people. Staff were great and fast. I had the linguine and it had simply no right to taste as good as it did! Seriously great with perfect flavour and the halloumi starter was also grand! Well worth a visit
We ordered the Sunday roast (both chicken and beef). The waiter got our order wrong and gave us a beef pie instead of beef Sunday roast, however upon delivery quickly changed it for us. The portions are big but other than that there is nothing really good to say about the food - the chicken was dry, the beef was tough, the gravy presented with the chicken was the same as the beef one, but tasted strange with the chicken as the flavours were of red wine jus. The Yorkshire pudding was dry and tasted store-bought. My roast cauliflower & cheese was cold and I had to ask for it to be heated up. The other vege sides were okay, nothing special. At least the service was nice and attentive.
Been here 3 times during my stay in London. Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The breakfast was great, they had really good chocolate milk. We also ordered some hashbrowns on the side. Which were amazing btw. Dinner was good, its good food for a relative cheap price. Will definitely visit next time in London.
Great fish and chips and a fantastic drink. Would come again.
Ok. The fish and chips were really good to be fair. Service was fine. However it was disappointing: the lack of brunch menu on a Sunday noon, the lack of plates / drinks that are IN THE MENU (smoothies, some starters...and some plates even turning up a lot later than others.A pity. I may have attended simply in a wrong day. Id give it another shot.
Good cappuccino and tasty breakfasts! Also its not expensive.
Great food and good service! Pay by phone is definitely a handy tool to have! Chorizo and hash was great!
Great breakfast ... Went on a Monday morning, was not crowd, and the Joes deluxe breakfast is really nice !!! Plus a toast....
The place was nice, service was a tad slow. We tried to pre-order but this was not accepted so we have to wait a while for our food. I ordered the Katsu Curry which was a good portion but did lack a bit of flavour. Overall, not a bad experience but not the best
This place has 5 stars for hygiene but I am only giving it one star because I found a long dark hair in the sauce which came with the shrimp. Check the hair out in photo 3. I didnt complain at the time as the rest of the meal was pretty good. Accidents can happen. The wine we chose was also nice.
Popped in here for breakfast before a meeting. Quick service, great prices and based on the food I had (sausage butty), great quality. The menu is extensive and has choices for everyone. Service was friendly and quick, food took no longer than 10-15 mins to arrive from ordering.Nice place, would definitely pop in again.
Great traditional English breakfast. Cute place. Nice menu with lots of options. So good.
A very nice little restaurant that I found by accident to start I had the beet hummus which was absolutely amazing I highly recommend ordering this if its still on the menu and for my main I had a hamburger with fries the fries were great and the hamburger is quite tasty the cost for the meal was very reasonable and the service was very good if youre in the area and youre hungry I recommend stopping in here it is definitely worth it
We popped here after work to grab a quick bite. The burger looked good so we went with that. The beef came out a bit overcooked and the chips were undercooked. We constantly saw the waitresses bring food out then take it back to the kitchen again - which puts me on the back foot for their ability to customise your food. Hard to recommend, but on the plus side they do accept the tastecard
Nice seating area in the back which I did not expect, food was good and came in reasonable portions, a very pleasant experience.
Went in here voor a full English breakfast. Very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious.
-1 star for dry bread, -1 star for ice cubes in the orange juice. The pulled pork and warm interior sandwhich however gave this place a well deserved 3 stars.
Food was good! I did want a burger but they only cooked them one way. I got the veggie burger instead and it was very good. My husband got fish and chips and liked it.
In comparison to other London restaurants this one is good. Not poshi, but comfi and friendly atmosphere. Also lunch deal is quite cheap.
Disappointing. Carbonara wasnt great. Service was appalling. Asked the waiter for water and he never came back. Then asked for the bill and he forgot about it. The decor is nice but I wont be going back.
Atmosphere was busy still serving breakfast till late afternoon on a Sunday, so Sunday lunch was not available till late afternoon. Service was very poor waiting on drinks for a long while where as waitress forgot that she took the order. Having said that most on the menu was not available too. Bathroom were cleaned. Staff didnt seem helpful when been served or friendly. No smiles around!
Great location, fast and efficient service in a beautiful building and space. The food is good, basic English food.
My main took 20minutes which they did warn me about. But when it arrived it was tasteless, tiny, and under seasoned! Also it has a ricotta stuffing that was nowhere to be seen. I had to get a takeaway after!Atmosphere is family...ish but good wine and I’m sure they are unfailing on the rest of the menu... I hope.Sorry guys. I review based on what I experienced. Also the bill came in at £20 and I’m still hungry!
Ordered breakfast from this establishment through Deliveroo. What was delivered was possibly the worst breakfast I have ever eaten(or in this case not eaten!)Firstly the bacon butty is quoted on Deliveroo as being six rashers of streaky bacon on split tin white bread. What turned up was 2 rashers in some stale normal white bread. The Joes Deluxe Breakfast was also a shambles. The black pudding was so burnt it was crispy, the sausages were undercooked, the eggs had solidified and the beans come in a sauce pot so the quantity is very small. Will not be ordering again and would certainly not recommend.
Staff were lovely and welcoming but the food was poor. Out for 4 meals, only one was any good. Fish finger sandwiches were on day old bread, with a tiny portion of fish finger. Mostly bread. Hallomi sandwich was very plain. Good place to stop for a drink, but I wouldnt recommend eating here.
I recently went here with my husband and two friends. My friend ordered a mixed drink that came without the alcohol. My husbands chicken was dry and they gave him the butts of asparagus. And my chicken, couscous and nan bread were all over cooked and dry. This was the first bad food experienced in London. Pick another place.
I love their special breakfast. And very friendly staff and interesting pay my bill online for quick self service payment!
Fantastic food and brilliant cocktails with very friendly staff! Would definitely recommend all day long...
We spent 5 days in London, eating out for every meal. This was by far the worst experience. We ordered: Calamari, Blood Pudding, Fish n’ Chips and Beef and Ale pie. The food tasted bland and seriously under seasoned. Tartar sauce was like pure lemon juice, the fried items were oily to the extreme, while the pie crust was undercooked and the fillings didn’t show any signs of beef. To top everything off, they ran out of mash, hence we got fries to pair with our pie. All in all it was a horrible culinary experience and the meal was starchy as hell. Would not recommend it to anybody. The beer and drinks were decent though.
Great place for tea time ! We loved the desserts. And the waitress was adorable. We have had a very good time in Joes Kitchen!
Brilliant British food! Nice cosy setting too and right by St Pauls to walk off the far afterwards
Great breakfast at great prices. Handy for St Paul’s and Fleet Street Walking distance from City Thameslink. Very friendly staff
We had a large group when we went our waitress took very good care of us and we received our drinks and food in a very timely manner. Our food was decent the eggs Benedict was lacking but everything else was good
Food was delicious. Service was great. Would return if Im ever in London again!
This place is an absolute delight! Love their cozy interiors and very hospitable staff. I came here with my family in a Fri evening for dessert and coffee. Their sticky toffee pudding was to die for! Definitely visiting again for a main meal
My friend has gluten and lactose intolerance and she got a completely different menu to choose from. She said she never had such a "safe" menu in her life. Drinks and food were delicious and our Polish waiter (sorry do not remember his namewas super friendly and welcoming. Even if they closed they let us stay longer.
Waiter helped me with my lactose intolerance and gave me a whole other menu to look at! The food was great, service was excellent, and the food came quick! We were seated immediately, and given the perfect amount of time to decide on my meal. Would definitely come again
The place has a great atmosphere, the staff was nice and the food came quickly. Extremely delicious; will definitely go again for breakfast.
Wonderful breakfastVery friendly serviceNice seating at the windowThe cappuccino is GREAT
Decent pub style food - the Bangers & Mash was delicious with its fluffy mash and flavourful gravy. Well priced for the quality and the area. Polite staff and rustic decor rounds off a great overall experience.
Verry good food, nice staff, awesome atmosphere!
Nice place with reasonable prices. Staff very friendly and attentive. Not sure why they import Cider from Sweden. Portions okayish.
Went here for dinner last night, having pretty much chosen it at random. We were seated on a Friday night immediately, by a friendly waiter. The menu was full of appealing and appetising meals. I had a veggie burger, even though Im not a vegetarian. Added bonus, the burger only cost about £8.50! Would definitely recommend!
