Best prime rib in the state!

Wow! Eat at Joe’s! Really a local place- shame on you if you drive by and looking for food, we had breakfast, coffee was hot and fresh, service was quick and friendly, priced more then fairly. Food was as ordered and plenty of it!

Stopped here to get out of a torrential downpour! Lucky for me they hadnt torn down the carwash yet, so I parked the bike in there and then went in and had a nice bacon cheeseburger and some vegetable beef soup. They were also kind enough to let me charge up my phone. The food hit the spot and once the rain subsided I went on my way.

Food was really delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had supper and breakfast here. Both were delicious. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

Mushrooms where good how ever, for the price ($5.75you dont get much at all and the cheeseburger was $4.50 doesnt even come with a pickle unless you pay extra. Tried to add photos

Nice couple running it while we were there to eat breakfast. Food was, hot, delicious, and reasonably priced. Its also a gas station so convenient too. Great for travelers and locals too. YUM!

Slow service, good food. Took 45 minutes for food. Service was overall not friendly.

Small but nice! Clean! Nice server. We had a grilled chicken sandwich with tater toys and a fish sandwich which were very good. Someone on a review thought the decor wasnt that great with dear heads lining all the walls. We thought it was kind of cool. It is attached to a gas/conience store. Right off the freeway.

Stopped while on a long road trip, food was really good, my kids even ate their whole meal. At better than a chain. Worth stopping, especially if you arent the type to judge a book by its cover.

Always very good food home cooked meals. You wont be disappointed . There is room for RV an several semi truck parking. Cozy friendly definitely worth your time.

Creepy place stuffed deers on walls. Like more stuffed deers on walls than tables on the floor.The food is typically american. But seems overpriced. Also $4 COVID-19 surcharge for all steaks no matter sizes: 4 oz steak, or 6 oz, or 16 oz. Be aware.

Absolutely the best food on I90 bar none! The food was outstanding. The service was great. I would highly recommend Joes to all but especially the hunters. It dont get no better than this! Wow.

Delicious breakfast! I believe the lady that took our order was also the cook. We were patient and it really paid off.Excellent price too! We will be back!!!

Great little diner! The service was fast, and the food was great! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger deluxe with fries. Lots of bacon, toasted bun, handmade patty.

Stopped in to take my 30 min break and ordered Joes big burger with fries. I asked for a over medium egg instead of ham which is included in the burger, and was excellent. The fries were golden crispy and the bottles dr. Pepper was 34° cold. Service was equally impressive. Would definitely stop in again. Thanks Joes restaurant.

Their food was the best, except the coleslaw. The food was as fast as McDonalds and about the same price!

We are traveling and fell upon this little gem. Don’t let the outside appearance scare you. In our opinion we had a great breakfast at Joe’s. If you like wildlife wall mounts there are plenty to see. As for our breakfast— we liked the coffee (not strong- perfect in our opinionand sausages were A+. Lastly, the price was very reasonable. We will go back.

Had Joes deluxe burger. Hand patted burger was delicious. Home made pies, too.

Down-home friendly and good homemade food! Interesting trophy heads (deer, elk, etc.adorn the whole place, so if that is offensive to you, stay clear!

If you ever come of of the interstate before Mitchell there is Alexandria, nice small place not much there two bars and Joes cafe good place to eat, they have good appetizers and a good sandwich, and there is a gas station right next to it get some smokes and beer and go on with your trip

We were there at noon, the service was slow then, but the food was great!

I grew up in rural Iowa eating Hot Beef Sandwiches at tiny cafes. This place sets a new standard. If there were more than 5 stars I would award them here. Homemade Chili with very tender meat. Staff treats you like a local from the word go.

Stopped in on my way to Bridgewater, Good french fries & excellent tarter sauce made there.

Excellent veggie beef soup. My husband said they had the best hamburger & coleslaw hed eaten in long time. Fries were top notch. Wish they were closer to us!

Traveling thru and ate breakfast there. Excellent food and the waitress was very polite and helpful. I will return the next time I am up that way!

I Recommend the chili Burger. The salad bar is very good, the salads are home made. Steaks are good. Nice home town atmosphere too.

Quick service, good food. Really like the Mule deer, whitetail, walleye and elk mounts.

RUDE. Walked up to table poured water - I said thank you and she walked away without saying one word - not even asking if there was anything wed like to start with like a drink. Was gone over 5 minutes. The side of water pitcher was dirty on outside. Dont go here - maybe it was the out of state plates ?!
