UGANDA’S JINJA NIKE BRIDGE 🇺🇬The source of the Nile Bridge, also New Jinja Bridge which was commissioned on 17 October 2018, by the President of Uganda. It is a cable stayed Bridge across the Nile in Uganda. It replaced the Nalubaale Bridge which was built in 1954.

This is the New Source of the Nile Bridge also known as Jinja Nile Bridge and it’s beautiful. It is the new bridge constructed to replace the old one which is aging I’m getting weak. It’s located along the Jinja highway ginger town along the River Nile, the longest River in the world which derives its origin from Lake Victoria which is shared among the 3 East African countries.The bridge is so magnificent that it has very beautiful lighting at night and it’s very good for night driving and it is spacious for both cars and pedestrians which are walking on the sides since their are spacious side walk.The bridge Beautiful and magnificent clear markings that make it easier for your direction of movement and eliminates confusion between drivers and pedestrians.The bridge is so Towering that you can see it from like 10 km before you enter Jinja because it’s very tall and has very beautiful support lines which is designed so perfectly by the most skilled architects and civil engineers.The new bridge is just marvellous.

I had an amazing stroll with friends. Though we werent allowed to take photos below the bridge moreso,there was no Notice against it.

Its not really a place you can sit at and admire but it doesnt disappoint and is a very good place for pictures. I would also advise if you have a tour guide tell them to take you through the old bridge and circle back to the new bridge

Amazing new Jinja bridge with neon lights that light up the sky occasionally at night putting on a spectacular display. Well planned/designed with enough space for pedestrian movement using the pavements. This new suspension bridge is for use by Motor Vehicles, the older, previously used bridge is now reserved for motorcycles only.

Impressive bridge but it’s just that.. a bridge. You can walk under it or drive over it. There is some cool plaques on the pillars at the ends of the bridge. Probably the only place you can go in Jinja where you won’t get ripped off because it’s free!

Just so you know; their is a notice as one enters the bridge saying motorcycles and bicycles arent allowed on this bridge. Good thing pedestrians are allowed and their is a special Lane for them therefore one can take all their time enjoying the beautiful view of the River Nile from here. Down river one can see the Old Owen falls dam. Upriver one can see the old train bridge and fishermen going about their business. Its amazing on this bridge. Take a tour

This the newly constructed bridge in Uganda across the river Nile used as an access road to ease traffic jam while crossing the Nile,it also offers a beautiful scenery of the lake Victoria fresh water and the Nile above all its the first of its kind in East Africa 😂😂

I checked out both the old and new Jinja Nile Bridge.Obviously, the new one is a massive project and it look amazing especially in the night.It is a good view and I hope the government of Uganda can really map out a sustainable way of paying back the investment on this bridge.In all, it is a great road network bridge connecting the various towns in Jinja.

Jinja Nile bridge is such a spectacular to see. The new bridge is so beautiful and can be seen from afar as you approach Jinja city. The bridge stands tall as it an upgrade of the old bridge that had been in existence for so many years. One can clearly see river Nile since there is a footbridge for pedestrians to use as they cross to the other side. The bridge has some really attractive architecture that make it look so attractive and catchy. It a great addition to the beautiful city of Jinja.

The bridge is located in Eastern region of Uganda in Jinja Municipality. Its the second bridge constructed to replace the former bridge that was constructed by the United Kingdom under the Queen Elizabeth of England and it is the only largest and longest suspended bridge in East Africa found on the worlds longest river just a few kilometers from lake Victoria, the worlds largest lake shared by the three East African countries, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.This bridge supports two lanes on each side allowing traffic to flow very fast without jam.Its also a tourist attraction center for its amazingly beautiful decorated lights that change at night giving it a wonderful view.

New attraction of our Jinja town

The New Source of the Nile Bridge at Jinja is a breathtaking , historic bridge that has changed the way people navigate River Nile.A dual carriage that allows speeds of 80Km/Hr has reduced traffic jam and congestion which was experienced on the old bridge.This new bridge is a game changer for Uganda as it is the gateway to the Northern Corridor connecting other countries neighboring Uganda i.e Rwanda,Congo and South Sudan.The architecture and the artistic design is also worth the view.Tourists both local and international now have added it as part of the tourism circuit.Well done UGANDA

Best experience of a new bridge from the start of construction to the commission.The Source of the Nile Bridge, also New Jinja Bridge, which was commissioned on 17 October 2018, by the President of Uganda, is a cable-stayed bridge across the Victoria Nile in Uganda. It replaced the Nalubaale Bridge, which was built in 1954.It has changed to beauty of Jinja and I know its going to attract more tourist.Am siting this area to develop more than it was last year.

The bridge boasts as the only cable bridge in East and Central Africa currently. It was constructed by a reputable company, Hyundai Construction, as looks set to stand the test of time. Its wide to cater for easy flow of traffic at a relatively fast pace and its contemporary look above the majestic River Nile offers a great scenery.

Very nice and magnificent structure set up bY the Ugandan government. I must say this is a first class bridge here in Uganda and with it soon being completed I guess it will be a very good road. It has a very clear view of the waters of the great river Nile passing under it and. Trust me its a must see
