Jinglepot Pub in Nanaimo

Went on Tuesday for their music trivia night (they have different events during the week). The food was delicious! Prices are within the normal range for pubs and the portions were more than decent (veggie burger was HUGE). Vegetarian friendly! Staff was very welcoming, great service.

Food was delicious. Total recommendations for the brisket and pulled pork.

Emily looked after us. Perfectly. Had the 2 piece fish and chips and shared with my fella. Awesome.

Great staff and good standard pub fare. Really extensive range of on tap ales. Vastly improved seating layout. Still applying sensible hygiene rules. Will definitely go back.

Went for lunch with my sister and our dad ! They were slammed busy with some large memorial party in the other part of the restaurant. Very pleased with the service and attitude, great place for Nachos I had before . Can’t go wrong with the crispy chicken burger. 5/5 from me and I can be very critical of my food , but the sandwich was hot, the veggies fresh and tasty and the fries were jjjuuusssttt right !

Ten tired seniors arrived having done big hike. Great welcome by server who quickly put tables & chairs together. $5 Pale Ale beers were appreciated by all and the food was great with reasonable prices. We left with fond memories of the Jinglepot Pub.

My wife and I had lunch at the JPP yesterday after a hard days boating in Nanaimo Harbour. LOL! I had the Stampede burger, she had the mushroom Mozza. I have to say both burgers were absolutely amazing. The stampede is messy and flavorful and the brisket is awesome. its the second time I have had the Stampede and each time it is knocked out of the Park. I would put it on the best burger in town list all day long. Just have to say great job to the staff there. great pub and a must visit.Cheers guys

Food was good. I didnt personally enjoy the nachos. Only because they were shared and done to other persons taste. I did very much the chicken strips. The beer was very good. Service was great. I will recommend this establishment to others

A HUGE RAVE to Natasha, 2 other servers (sorry I didn’t get your namesand the one and only cook at the JINGLE POT PUB on the Sunday July 24 (bathtub weekend). I called so many places for a 70th birthday lunch for my mom with 11 people and nobody would take reservations. When I called the Jingle Pot Pub and gave them a quick heads up we were coming they went out of their way to get us patio seating all together under an awning and accomdate us on super short notice as the other restaurant fell through due to short staffing and a long line. The staff at JP pub were over the top even though they were also short staffed! The food was awesome, the prices were great and the service was spectacular!! Not only did they get everything out in impeccable time, they served with smiles and were incredibly accommodating!! Hats off to al the staff working that day…only 4!! Would definitely recommend!!! Thank you all so SO much for making my mom’s birthday lunch the best!!

Tonight we got the JP Appy Platter and everything was good on it but my favourites were the deep fried pickles, onion rings & chicken strips!Since it was wing Wednesday ordered some and the lemon pepper & sweet Thai wings were very good. Big wings. Salt & pepper were okay but others were great.We highly recommend this place! Coming back again for sure!

Terrific night! Went Friday night for kerioky (sp?Service was friendly and excellent, food was very tasty, entertainment was delightful, all around a great tie. Hope to see you there next time. Hopefully by then I will have found my bucket with a tune in it and can sing! Lol

Every Monday is fish and chips day. We found it to be one of the best places to go. The staff are great 👍.

We enjoyed a Thai chicken salad and the 1-piece cod and fries. Real human sized portions, great flavors, and the fries perfectly done and not limp watery things.Server was friendly and efficient.

I found the service and food quality above other pubs I have been to. The service was very good and I ordered the fish burger which was very good. I will go back and do recommend this place

I dont think theres a better pure pub in Nanaimo. Wings are fantastic, the in-house smoked brisket is to die for, and I defy you to find better potato skins.

Food was good. Staff seemed in a rush all the time. It is a pub that allows kids which is great but staff need to deal better with the loud and rude drunks.

The Jingle Pot Pub had great food, beer and service. I ordered a Rodeo burger with fries, and I would definetely order it again.

This place has always had great staff and still does! I went for karaoke on Friday night and it was the best karaoke night of my life! Amazing group of people in there that night. It was fantastic. I also had dinner and the food was fresh and delicious. They too have the "good fries". Thansk for awesome night JP!

Ive never gotten food here but every time I come for drinks the service is good! Karaoke nights on Fridays are an absolute blast.

Food prices and portions were great! The food tastes pretty good, what you would expect at a pub. Staff were friendly.

Wow. I had the 2 piece fish subbed a salad and also came with fresh grated cabbage cole slaw. This was an amazing plate of food. The cod was fresh and battered and fried perfectly. The garden side was so fresh and delicious. Great menu and so reasonable for pricing. The 2 pieces of fish were the size of 2 trout. They were huge.

As of late, we moved to Nanaimo and are exploring the area. We bought a home minutes from Jinglepot Pub and we have quickly become regulars. Excellent service, the servers recognise us, and always have good suggestions for us to try. Love their wings, but they have this huge salad that I have got on lately, our son loves the burgers, and hubby loves the fish and chips (not greezy and huge portions). We heard negative things before we came here, so i decided to write to let people know that we have had nothing but great experiences here! <3 our new local watering hole! <3

The company Christmas party was held last night at this awesome pub. The decor was perfect, the food was delicious, and the service some of the best and most friendly weve ever had. Thanks for a great time!

Went for a staff Christmas dinner. Beautiful Christmas decor in a private room. Had calamari which was delicious, had appy platters with a great variety. Dinner had the steak, cooked perfectly! Deep fried cheesecake was the show stopper!

Excellent service from the front door. My meal was also excellent. The lovely servers front of house really treat you well, and back of house kitchen slays it. Best neighborhood pub.

The food is actually very good! Huge portions and has a cute patio in the summer time thats hidden. Will be back.

Nice little pub just up from the highway. With the current pandemic situation the pub had the seating spread appropriately and clearly marked sanitized areas. The food was wonderful and the staff friendly. Cant wait to try this place again in the future!

My bestie and I walked around Westwood Lake on the path. ABSOLUTELY A MUST SEE PEOPLE. We went to the Jinglepot Pub. Nice atmosphere good service. The Caesar was awesome. Not so much on food unfortunately. 😕 But a great place to stop and have a bevy for sure.

I like it here. Super friendly staff, serving with a smile , great atmosphere and the food is fresh. I like the inside, despite only half the tables are currently placed.No matter my choice of food, its always been good and satisfying. Recently I went w a friend who I hadnt seen for a long time and we just kept chatting and forgot about the menu and the time. I want to acknowledge staff for not being pushy, they let us be and enjoy ourselves until we were ready to order. They gave us the time we needed, thank you so much for valuing our needs and making us happy!

The drinks are basic & the food isnt anything special. The crispy chicken burger was dry & the lettuce in my salad was old. The waitress was really rude & judgement. Definitely wont be back.

Last weekend we went for a couple drinks before 10pm. We walked there and walked back. Today we went for dinner. I was told by the server “it’s 15 minutes wait”. We were seated 2 minutes later and she said “I got in trouble for over serving you last weekend. They saw you dancing on camera. I can only serve you a couple drinks tonight”. I dance everywhere! To be clear, I never ordered a single drink last time, they were ordered for me. How embarrassing and can I be cut off a week later before I even ask for a drink? I’ll take my business somewhere else, where a 42 year old nurse (who walked home finewon’t be treated like a drunk.

This pub has a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the cleanliness is up to standard for Corolla Virus protocol.The food is alright, typical pub food.My favorite feature in this pub is the BCLC self serve machine. Ive recently reached $6,000 in winnings from Keno here, --this place is on fire!So, even though Im now officially rich, I will still pop into the jinglepot from time to time, and Id recommend that you do, too!

First visit. Love it. They take care with the required precautions. Bartender is an absolute gem. Lovely personality, welcoming and fun. Had fish and chips. Perfectly prepared. Even the coleslaw is good! Looking forward to returning!

Busy karaoke night service was lacking and servers weren’t that friendly took forever to get a drink that was super over priced. Bartenders were much better service wise and faster. Atmosphere was awesome and a lot of fun . Would definitely return for a night out . Location isn’t bad either for taxi costs . Recommend to spend a Friday or Saturday night there!

Our waitress was amazing! Sat outside on the patio and she came out to check on us often and super friendly. Nice to chat with her. She has been there over 20 years. Food was great. Had 2 appetizers and a glass of red and 2 beer for my friend. Will for sure be back!!

Well... I am not a drinker of alcohol, BUTI came here for lunch one day and well 5 stars later, I really enjoyed the meal. The staff was very friendly and the pub has a sort of western / cowboy type feel to the place. I would suggest coming here for some much needed down time if you need to recharge your batteries. Great job team. And thank you for the great service and food!!!!

Went in last night for the first time as a last minute thing. It was a really cute place that had country vibes to it. The bartender was super friendly, and she had great drink knowledge and ideas.Only giving four stars for the time being because we werent able to try the food as kitchen was closed. However I will definitely be going back!

****new owners, havent been there since they took over, so this review may not apply anymore ***I love their salad; not plain Jane like a lot of places Ive tried. Grated beets make this salad!Add prawns and chicken, priced under 12 bucks. Yummy!

Great food. Ridiculous portion on the pork schnitzel. Really delicious though!
