In the city center, this lively hostel is 4 minutes' walk from the closest bus stop, and a 10-minute walk from the bustling Cathedral Square in front of the Neo-Classical Vilnius Cathedral. The simply furnished dorms sleep 4 to 10 people, and provide bunk beds, lockers and shared, shower-only bathrooms. Private rooms are available.Breakfast is complimentary. Other amenities include a relaxed communal TV lounge/kitchen, regular movie nights and karaoke, plus a sauna (fee). Video game tournaments and pub crawls are offered.
The hostel is located right in the heart of Old town. I could park my motorcycle inside safely at no extra cost. The kitchen is fully loaded. The owner Peter is a jolly good fellow
Review from a highly experienced travel blogger who specialises in budget travel. Trust me when I say, Id sooner return to the African mud hut I stayed in than this hostel (the hut was much cleaner too)Do some research and youll notice the bad reviews on here are very specific, the good ones are very brief. So here is an honest in depth review of why you should NOT stay here. The quick summary is highly aggressive owner, skanky showers, unauthorised payments, no vibe, no staff available, musky toilets and filthy beds... more details below. We arrived at 4pm and no one answered the door. Theres a WhatsApp number but its no use if your phone is dead or you cant use your sim. Someone left so we managed to get in. No staff on hand. Just an envelope with cards in. Not a huge issue until we saw the state of the rooms. Absolutely disgusting smell, all beds were filthy even the "clean" ones. Toilets were too. We tried to speak to a staff member, but there was no one on hand. We eventually left and came back later. We politely spoke to the new girl about the issue who called the manager. Pete requested to speak with me on the phone and was incredibly aggressive and refused to accept our complaints. I pointed out the numerous issues. Suddenly he was at the check in desk. Hed been there all along but just decided not to respond apparently. Again with his standoff nature and sarcastic tone decided to dramatically "inspect" the room (honestly the guy could have won an oscar for his performance).Obviously then refused to acknowledge the state of it. After the 10th time aggressively asking me "Whats up man" not wanting to yet again explain the obvious, requested he cancel the booking immediately and waiver the fee for the room. He reluctantly agreed (still complainingand said to email the hostel about cancelling for his records.Interestingly, the very second we left the hostel, an unauthorised payment was taken out. Something a lot of other people have complained about.Having stayed in over 200 hostels and never having an issue, Im astounded by the level of unprofessional behaviour and aggression from the owner.Looking forward to another one of Petes sarcastic responses to this review (were currently in an email war as he has gone back on his wordHe claims I never asked for the fee to be waivered (as if I would happily pay for something so decieving)Looks like we wont be getting a refund but I hope this review can help a few people choose somewhere better to stay and not make the same mistake we did!So for the 11th time Pete, thats whats up man.
Great hostel. Great crew. Great location. Lockers. Bar. Kitchen. Stars and Stripes next door 🇺🇲
It seems like this has been a really nice place, has a lot of potential but when you book take into consideration, that many of the good reviews are from about 5 years in the past. The social area has a vibe with the right people and I bet that you have fun pub crawls here on the weekend, price is also very pleasant for the central spot in the city but the toilets on the hallway smelled really bad most of the time, the mattresses are really worn out (which would match that it was greater back in the daysand most of the outlets in the room did not work, so the 2 stars are to balance a bit more considering the current situation in comparison with the rest of the Baltics and as hygiene and the bed are the essentials….Apart from that the people who work there was really cool, including the fantastic laundry service for 8 €.
Great hostel with friendly staff.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were super friendly. And the beers here were great too. The others staying in hostel were lovely people too and I felt a general safe atmosphere. The only thing was that the bottom ensuite bathroom had a plumbing issue, where water was flowing from the top of the toilet to the bowl in the wrong area.It didnt flush well, and caused a smell but that can be solved with help of a plumber. Also wanted waffles but they didnt have even though it was advertised. They looked so good!Overall lovely place for a great price. I would definitely go here again. Thank you guys for a lovely stay.
Rooms are good but they super small bathrooms.
Pretty poor standards. They make you take off your shoes to keep the hostel clean but the floors were still dirty. Bathrooms were musty. Sociability was awkward given how small the reception is. Only positive point is the location
Your average crowded and noisy hostel managed by an American guy. He and his wife are friendly.
This is the worst hostel experience of my life. I made a reservation at Hostelworld and paid extra money for a free cancellation, until a few days before my arrival. What is my surprise that I cancel my stay 1 month before and I am charged and I write to Hostelworld and they tell me that they dont know why it happened, I talk to the hostel and the hostal tells me that after 2 days from the booking they charge me for the whole stay. And I had a free cancellation message until the end of the month. Do not book anything in this hostel, they will only take your money. Deplorable I will pray for it to close.
Cracking place, great location and staff are fantastic. Great give whilst I was here. All you want in a hostel.
I arrived at 2 am, they have a on-call number that works also on WhatsApp, they answered straight away and let me in and get my room key by myself like I was a friend.Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, the hostel is clean, well organised and the location cant be better.I havent had the chance to take more. pictures but the hostel have a good reputation for a reason.
This place is extraordinary, didnt answer the door despite coming 3 times on the day I checked in yet still charging me with unauthorized transactions on my card. Will follow-up with authorities. There is something not right about this place, go elsewhere.
Cozy, clean, and good vibe hostel.Always my 1st opinion when I get to Vilnius. Staff are always available to help. Laundry service available for 8 euros. Bar on site and also very centrally located. Highly recommended 👌.
Fantastic staff, clean rooms and friendly travellers
Everyone was extremely friendly, facilities were very clean and great vibe overall! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Vilnius.I forgot a couple items and they were extremely helpful with sending my forgotten items after me for which I am very grateful!!
Jimmy Jumps House! Its the hostel that I already stayed in 2 trips. Its located in a perfect location is very clean and the stuffs member are helpful! :)
Really nice sociable hostel at the very cemtre of vilnius steps away from nice restaurants some bars and supermarket!)
Very great hostel! Unexpectedly needed a place to sleep in Vilnius and was immediately helped by very friendly staff. Love the no shoe policy, the hostel is very clean. Slept amazing on the bed and that all for an amazing price too. Would definitely come back to Vilnius just to enjoy this hostel for more than 1 night.
Definitely the best hostel in Vilnius, cool atmosphere. Even had fun here during the covid 19 crisis which I think is really rare anywhere else. Also staff is really nice, thanks Gabriel in particular.
The Canadian half of the staff was very nice and I have no complaints there but the Lithuanian half made me feel like I was not welcome. They would make snarky jokes at me and often made me feel like I shouldnt have even bothered coming in. As far as the rest of the hostel it was clean and the guests were all nice and friendly .
Fantastic hostel run by such kind, helpful people. There are activities or bar crawls most nights, and you can be as involved as you want to be. Met a fun bunch of people hanging around the common area and in the room. Great location for Vilnius Old Town and all main attractions.
First of the people are very kind. You have to take your shoes off, that was a nice surprise. So service was good. The rooms, where fine.We had a shower in our room that had a smell, unfortunately. And the matrass was very thin, so if you have back problems, sorry.
5 stars due to the receptionists first. Being nice to customers and having a smile on your face goes a long way. Not something that you find a lot in Baltic countries. Great atmosphere and comfortable beds. They also have a little bar if you want to have a beer or a cocktail there. My only critic will be the showers and bathrooms in common areas that could be improved. I would stay here again.
Nice Hostel with incredible nice staff! They have cool activities at night, the waffle breakfast is ok and you always find someone for having a chat or do something awesome.Biggest problem for me was that a lot of people didnt know how to close a door silently. The doors are pretty old, so you have to push the handle (yeah, there are MANY people who dont know that...). So the hole night and morning people keept smashing the doors like complete retards (bathroom, housedoors, roomdoors etc). The mattresses are very thin, bathroom was ok (shower could be more clean, no toilet paper after a couple of days...)
Great hostel with an active and young athmosphere. What I really liked was the very friendly staff, the tasty waffles for breakfast and the art that was created all over the hostel. (Pictures and paintings on the walls)
Nice hostel with friendly staff. You can buy beer and snacks at a good price right at the front desk. Our room was quite big and clean but the ceiling was low in lost of areas, slightly uncomfortable.
Probably the best hostel Ive ever stayed in with the best staff in the world. Also, fantastic music playlist and beer on tap. I didnt want to leave after my 5 night stay. Will definitely book again when I come back.
Great hostel and perfect stay! Fantastic mood even if there were few people. Activities going on everyday, especially in summer. Comfortable beds, not so big restrooms, but clean. Free pancakes for breakfast and cheap prices for the night. I would definitely go there again
Super chill and lovely hostel. Nice location, good common area can meet a lot of interested people. Friendly staff, especially Kristina! She is very helpful and interested. Even though she already finish her shift but still stay at the hostel and spending time with us.100% recommended! Perfect hostel to meet people
The best hostel I have ever stayed! The atmosphere is amazing! The kitchen and the living room is so good, they alao put very good music. You have to take off your shoes so its like you are home! Also the staff was very helpful and always with a smile!I couldnt ask anything else from a hostel!
Absolutely overrated. My 6-bed dorm room on the ground floor, the door is directly facing the toilet (building on the left of the main reception buildingis absolutely terrible (12 euro). There is only one window door that cant be opened. No air circulation AT All, unless you open the door. 6 people share the same freaking stuffing air. Are you kidding me? This hostel gets good review? I travel around the world, 70+ countries. I think I know what I am talking about. Common space isnt that good, its separated from rooms. The kitchen is decent. My question is how many reviews on hostelworld are faked? Jimmy boy, you guys need to do something about this horrific room. Air circulation, okay?
Best hostel Ive ever stayed at, Ive stayed at a plethora of them. Perfectly located, clean rooms and bathrooms. The thing that makes it stand out is the staff though, never have I met such sweet girls in my life. If youre visiting Vilnius and see the hostel options youd make a mistake staying anywhere else. Indre, Martyna, Kristina and Kamikaze were incredibly sweet and I have fond memories of my stay at Jimmys. labassss
Stayed in a double private room. Room is fairly clean for a hostel, not much rowdy guests and serves waffles for breakfast! Although service will be slow as the staff will prepare the waffles one-by-one depending on the amount of people.
I loved staying here, and would have expanded from 2 to 5 (maybe morenights if it wasn’t for already booked plane tickets. It was so nice to talk with and get to know other people (in the living room and in the yard), and felt just as if lots of people gather at your friends house. I’d had almost given up hostels after the two first on my trip, but this is better than staying at hotels. (I guess I missed my own separate bathroom, a sprung mattress and full english breakfast, but it still beats the awesome Radisson suite the night before). I really didn’t wanna leave.
Clean, cheap, friendly in the heart of old town. Near pubs, bars, shops, museums, tourist information. I was in 3 bed private room sharing bathroom and toilet in separate building to main hostel. clean spacious. Beds v comfortable. In main hostel big kitchen with lounge and small bar £3 beer/cider. Breakfast is free waffles till 12pm and fruit tea or coffee.
The hostel is clean and not very crowded. There are 5 bathrooms. Towels need to be rented (1€). Breakfast consists of instant coffee and waffles with jam. The place does the job and its clean. Only problem is that there is party till at least 1.30 in the night and you can here it from your room. The mattress is not great either.
This hostel was easily one of my favorites! It was really cozy, the prices were cheap, and they went out of their way to show everyone there a good time, gave suggestions for what to do, and hung out with us during their shifts. It felt like staying with a bunch of friends even though you havent met anyone there. They offer free breakfast, free coffee (or upgrades for a euro), beer, sheets and towels if needed, and you dont even have to leave after you "check out", which is more like saying goodbye vs having a formal check out process.I will definitely stay again when I get the chance!
Initial thoughts were ok then we were taken to our room. Unfortunately for us we were put in the neighbouring building. Our 5 bed room was tiny, storage was a nightmare and charging had to be done out of the lockers. The bathrooms and toilets didn’t appear to have even cleaned during the 2 nights we stayed and the shower cubicles were smelly. If you’re lucky enough to be put in the main building it might be good value for money but I feel we didn’t get our money’s worth in our room.
This is honestly one of my favorite hostels Ive ever stayed in. The price and location are fantastic, its super clean, but what I loved was the vibe. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, the waffle breakfast was great, and I felt so comfortable talking and hanging out with other guests, which I think the small size of the hostel helped facilitate. I was traveling alone and it was one of my favorite trips. If I return to Vilnius, I would absolutely stay here again, as well as recommend it to others.
Great hostel in the very middle of the touristic city center. Within walking distance from the main attractions, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. The street is well lit at night and I felt very safe even when walking alone at night. The staff is absolutely amazing. Very nice and helpful. Every morning from 9 to 12 you can have free waffles at the common room. The room I stayed in was very spacious with big lockers and had a bathroom. Beds are comfortable and have a small curtain so you can have some privacy. The pillow wasnt great but its not a big deal for just a couple of nights. I really recommend this hostel. ;)
Highly recommended. The staff were super helpful in recommending walking tours and other places to visit. They also organised a local private sauna visit for us, which Id suggest everyone should do. The hostel itself was basic but comfortable - there were a few renovations going on, so should hopefully be even better for our next stay.
This hostel is really really good, the staff is really friendly and helpful. I had a problem because of other people on my room and the staff moved me and my friend to a 2 bed room for the rest of the stay. I recommend it for sure without a doubt. You wont regret it.
The hostel is very well located, the staff was very helpfull and very friendly and the installations are nice and a plus point are free waffles for breakfast. The only critic for me was cleanliness of the toilets, besides that is was really nice stay.
Enter through a small door in a bigger gate to this comfy place with a nice atmosphere. It kind of feels like your second home after a few nights. Places were clean, common areas were nice and kitchen was well-equipped.But - they didnt provide towels to the quests on arrival. When I asked for one, they said they are renting them for 1€. Its not a bad price, but Ive been to tens of hostels, including even cheaper ones, and not once has any of those charged for a towel rental. Im a man of principle and dried myself with my clothes, rather than paying. Also, their "waffle breakfast" is just two small waffles made from the cheapest ingredients, but at least the lovely staff prepares them for you by request. I never saw anyone having more than two waffles and didnt bother to ask for more myself. For toppings theres just two kinds of jam.In the kitchen, all the knifes were so dull that you couldnt even cut a soft tomato, alone chicken with them. But Ill end my review in positivity, saying that the hostel is unique with all its artworks, was on a perfect location, the staff were sweet and helpful and I would stay there again!
Too much of hype with high ratings. This was a noisy hostel mainly because it was hosting a lot of people. As the bathrooms and toilets were shared by a number of people, they were not so clean. The social space was also very small. However, the hostel is in the heart of the city. They also provide free waffles for breakfast. Mostly importantly, I am very much pleased with the staff behaviour. They are very helpful. I had to leave early morning at 6. I was taken aback when one of the staff members said that she could make waffles for me if I needed, despite being so early in the morning. I said no, but that gesture really impressed me.
It is a great hostel. Organize pub crawls or karaoke or something every night free walking tour. Good international guests. Clean bathrooms and curtains on most beds. Power plugs in lockers. Nice location 15 minute walk to train 1 hour walk from airport. Can do laundry. 😚
Loved it! Thanks for a great nights stay! This is one of THE BEST hostels i have stayed at in Europe, the staff are pleasant and friendly, the atmosphere sets it apart from any other place I have stayed.Great beds, and bathrooms. I liked how people had to take off their shoes before entering, it makes you feel comfortable and at home.Cant recommend this place enough!
Liked the hostel. It has two parts: one is main and has dorms and the other has private rooms. Anyways, this area with private rooms could be a bit improved. Cleanliness of the bathroom especially. This building is old, with old-style bathroom which tends to become smelly. Also, the private rooms are poorly decorated: nothing except beds inside and some wardrobe from 1940s. Reminds me of dorms in military.
Really good atmosphere, relax and clean. They are currently doing work to add more bathrooms. Waffles are good and staff are friendly. There may be trouble booking if you are a large group of English males.
