Jimmy Guaco's in Peterborough

Horrible!!! And, closed now. Which I totally, and completely understand!!!It was a horrible place to eat!!!I love, Love, LOVE burritos, but these were discussing!!!So, the fact that they are closed, does not surprise Me one bit!!!The best burritos, and My favourite is Dantes Burritos on Simcoe Street, across from the Peterborough Bus Terminal!!!I love, Love, LOVE DANTES BURRITOS!!! And, I LOVE the advertisement poster, that they have posted in the front window!!!

Ordered from them several times on Uber Eats, the one time they didnt cancel the order it arrived like this, it was cold enough that it was obviously a left over order that was sitting out all day, the other parts of the order were missing, they probably didnt have leftovers from earlier of those menu items.

Stuffed with bean and rice and 2 oz meat for 14$ !!

Their Tacos are to die for. Always enjoyed it. The only fast food my 5 year old eats and wants more.

I used to love this place and I recommended it to all my friends. Over the past few months I have seen a decline in service. I understand supply and staffing issues but the inconsistencies are getting a bit much. I never know when they will be available to order on door dash or skip as their hours are never the same. Today I was excited to see them on doordash. I ordered a chicken quesadilla only to notice that my order was changed to a sweet potato as chicken is out of stock. I received an email saying it was changed based on the sellers recommendation. If I had of been contacted by the store directly I would have preferred a different protein instead of them deciding an alternative for me or the option to cancel the order. I did receive a refund for the difference in price, but now I have food I paid for that I dont like. Probably will stick with Bar Burrito going forward.EDIT: I opened the box and didnt get the salsa I ordered. So the only thing that was accurate was the drink. Also, when did quesadillas come in strips?

Whomever made my tacos thank you! Filled..Ingredients are fresh the habeneros are what makes Jimmys stand out. Thanks for the great service

I can completely understand that times are crazy, shortage of food, staff amongst other things, but when you place an order you have paid for it in advance, because your at work and are unable to leave.We didnt receive what you paid for, called Jimmy Guacos and the guy on the phone is ignorant, rude and hangs up on you for no reason.There is NO REASON, or EXCUSE for this!!!!!!!!Will NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly three and a half, for Peterborough four and a half stars, they need a bigger large and more lighting in the store. But delicious burritos I must say.

Way expensive. $18 for a burrito bowl? Rip offThey don’t list the price of the burrito bowl and I assumed it was the same as a burrito. I was way wrong.They charged me $18 plus for a burrito bowl. The only extra was some guacamole. Makes zero sense other than a rip off pricing.Avoid the hurt wallet and go elsewhere.

Terrible!! Whole meal was completely inedible. The rice was raw in the burrito bowl and in my burrito. Won’t be going back EVER!!

This is the most delicious burrito place Ive ever eaten at. Since the day they opened, the quality has only gotten even more delicious. The sweet potato burrito, comes with roasted cubes of sweet potato and is super customizable with all your favorite toppings. I recommend this place for any other vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Their delicious and fiery habanero sauce is just the cherry on top!

This place is good enough. Better than your typical chain taco/burrito place. The habanero hot sauce is really good for heat lovers.

Unbelievably disappointing food! It was excellent before and was my go to place but in the past month or so, the food has been horrible...

Never eating here again. Its been my go-to place before the lockdown happened this year but now the quality has worsened. My burrito looked like it was forcefully fed Lettuce with a little meat as a treat for eating the greens.I am all for supporting local businesses, and I understand that I might have to compromise a little, but there is a vast difference between what they serve right now and what they used to serve before.

This week they removed the deal that brought me into the store. Now that the burrito meal is removed the base price for any burrito is above 12 dollars after tax. Thats a huge difference when you could get a burrito of the same size and pop for less for years.

My husband and I craved some good Mexican food since there isn’t any in Trenton lol I got tacos and my husband got a small burrito and it’s been the best foods we have had since we left Halifax 2 1/2 years ago!! The staff were super friendly and will definitely come back next time we r in Peterborough!!!

I loved this place but wont be going back now!! :( Its too bad as they have the best flavors in Peterborough for burritos). I Just paid the same as I normally did for a burrito bowl but got half the amount!Not only do they make it in smaller bowls they also only fill the thing half way. It was ridiculous the small sprinkle of shredded chicken she put in my bowl. I know Covid has hurt a lot of businesses but skimping out and making smaller portions will not save you money. You will hurt yourself in the end by costumers not returning!Bad move Guacos :(

10 out of 5 stars. By far the best burritos I have ever had. If you like spicy their habanero sauce is amazing. Blows mucho, El caminos away. Honestly havent tried Dantes.

Ordered large burrito bowl. Got 3/4 full container with out refined beans and barely any rice loaded up with spicy sauce. Contacted skip the dish about it and they ran off not helping. Couldn’t eat the meal. Not with skip the dishes anymore and never going to jimmy gauchos.

I am not quite sure why this place isnt higher up on the list. We come here to grab a bite often and the food is always fresh and tasty! I am gluten free so i have the Bowls, but pretty well everthing, except for the wrap, is Gluten friendly. There is a variety of items to choose from too and the toppings are fresh and home made. The place is clean and comfy, with take out or sit down. Great for after a show, or just grabbing a bite or if you dont want to cook.. the large bowls and burritos are HUGE! Great value for a great meal.

Very impressed with the quality and quantity of food. Burrito was loaded to the max. Ingredients were fresh. Salsas were great and many to choose from. Staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely coming back and would recommend to anyone looking for a good burrito. Also free gauc

Met a couple of my friends for a long overdue catch up over brunch. Being that I live in Toronto, and my friends live in Peterborough and Whitby respectively, we felt this spot was pretty equidistant to all of us.Love the vibe of the restaurant- when you first walk in, you feel totally stuck in a time warp but in an endearing, nostalgic kind of way.

I always enjoy coming here, I love Guacamole and this place has some of the best in town and doesn’t charge extra! They also have a shrimp option which I am pretty sure is the only place in town that has that option! I am always impressed with the staff that are always able to keep there cool under stressful situations or short staff. Rather it be during a busy lunch time or a crazy time after last call on a Saturday night, they never disappoint.

Pretty filthy location, especially at night. Washrooms are locked at night, no doubt due to people abusing them however it becomes a cycle of filth as I watched a customer actively puking all over a table top where people eat from last night. While staff watched. And they made no effort to clean it up after...Food is mediocre too.

Excellent food and service. Good prices too. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had been told that it was really good. Finally checked out and was glad I did. Casual atmosphere. Fresh food. I ordered the steak burrito and was not disappointed. I will definitely return here!

I love coming here during the day, but at night theres one staff member that is so rude! Snapped at customers, made fun of a girl that slipped. A customer left behind thier back pack, instead of nicely asking whos backpack she screams at the people sitting down. When no one claimed it she went behind the counter opened it up and goes "cool free stuff"

Stopped in randomly on our way through Peterborough, looking for a better quick dinner than the average fast food. Service was more than pleasant, accommodating of preferences. Flavors were great - not the usual burrito joint stuff, spicy enough for those who wanted it, not too spicy for me. Such a random happy accident to find this place!

Was my favorite burrito place to many new workers was in sun Jan 13 the two girls working were clearly inexperienced 15 dollars for my large steak and was more bean and gwoc then steak felt like I paid 15$for a veggie burrito never used to be cheap like that

I enjoyed my meal there. Lots of options in terms of both meat and vegetable fillings. I had the sweet potato burrito and thought it was really yummy. There was a lot of selection of salsas and sauces.The only thing I wasnt a huge fan of was the ambiance. The music was pretty loud so it was hard to hear the server as she made the burrito and the restaurant itself was kind of dark.Nice experience overall.

My wife and I love this place, we always choose Jimmys over Dantes "Burrito". We love the flavours of the toppings and sauces, absolutely delicious!

Positives: Food is great, lots of seating.Negitives: a little hard to figure out how the menu works, and quite expensive.

This is a Peterborough based shop and is right in the Center of the city.Prices are bit high than other burrito place but it is worth taking a visit.Place is big and have good room for the dining area.

If Jimmy Guacos does not cater my wedding, I have failed in life. Literally the best Ive ever put in my mouth. I love you Senor Guac.

Crazy expensive, long wait and small portions. El Camino is a much better deal. Jimmys has really gone down hill recently :(

If there were a 6 star options would have hit that the staff was amazing with us and our kids equally amazing was the food we got the burrito was as big as my bicep if you are downtown and hungry this is place period

Their quality of service is almost always a good experience. Later at night it can dwindle but for the most part they are decent. The only thing there i have to add is sometimes they are stingy with their filings. Food quality is average, if you want high quality theres other places better but this place is open fairly late and being in a central location its good after you have had a few drinks. Overall 4/5

Of all the burrito places in Peterborough this one has to be the blandest. Taste just isnt there. Price is expensive for what you get as well. Have tried it a few times but wont go back.

Not the best burrito in town... but they are open late, and it beats a poutine! I actually prefer the burrito bowl or tacos here.
