Scenic lakeside locale offering seafood, steaks & pasta in a relaxed lodgelike space with a patio.
No complaints from the bartender making good drinks, an excellent servicer and everyones meal tasted great cooked to perfection.
Bartenders and waitstaff were beyond polite and friendly. Prime rib...awesome and pesto crusted salmon with balsamic reduction was off the chart!
Nothing from the start was good. Potato skins were greasy, the small packets of sesame sticks were stale, soup was over salted, steak was cold, got .50 worth over perch that was over breaded and greasy. The best part of the meal was the can of soda. Will not be back. Way overpriced the the quality of food you get.
Excellent atmosphere, excellent service, great friends, music outside and delicious food 😋
I have been going there for over 10 years and every time I go it’s always unbelievable. The food is always consistent and always great. I love finding new restaurants but still nothing compares to Jim and Linda’s.
So sad - came last year in November for my birthday and was awesome, brought my kids back about a month ago and was awesome, wanted to share the gem with my girlfriends and was a bust…prime rib was full of tendons and then was pushed out early by “Jim” to make room for a party of 10. Waitstaff was amazing but I was so sad because I talked the place up for months with my gfs based upon my first two experiences as my new favorite place (drove 50 minutes to get here each timeand THEN had the bad experience.
Good food at a fair price ! Alfredo sauce on noodles & shrimp. Outstanding
Excellent food and great service . We had the chicken romanoff and ribs just outstanding flavor, very filling, nice portion sizes and reasonable prices ! The atmosphere is so beautiful we went at dinner time do we were able to see the sunset just breath taking !Thank you !
Nice place with good service. It’s kind of odd to me but seems to be normal for this area of Wisconsin, you order your food at the bar before you are seated. Then when your food is ready you are seated. Food was good. T-Bone that I had was cooked just right and my parents enjoyed their food also. Now the one bartender did seam drunk or simply was drunk and my old fashioned sour was horrible. Got the other sober bar tender and got an old fashioned sweet and that was classic supper club good. So get the sober bar tender and your old fashioned will be yummy. Conclusion I will make the drive around the lake again and will be back.
Amazing food and service. Great place to bring your special someone for a night out. Try the mouth watering prime rib but be careful because its hard to stop eating!
Had a wonderful dining experience. Polka band playing outside was a nice surprise. The sunset was beautiful. Our bartender Matt, was amazing. Very personable and remember all 8 drinks each time. Our food was amazing right down to the rolls. Our waitress was funny and handled us very well. We will definitely return soon!!
Great food, friendly wait staff, absolutely fabulous views on Lake Winnebago
First time ever that I have anything to say negative. But the service was horrible and the food this time was subpar. Got there at 4:00 and sat for a while. Food came out cold and was never able to order another drink at the table. So for a $460 dinner I was kind of embarrassed to have brought the company I had with me. Especially after talking it up so much. Not to mention coming from winneconne by boat just for that dinner. Buy the time we stood up from the table it was 7:58 pm I know that because it was kinda the brunt of a joke on the way home.
Well tried to dine in. Second time we never got seated. After 3 drinks see ya
We drove 45 min to Jim & Lindas tonight. We arrived at 6:30pm. We were told there would be 1.5 hour wait. We waited and waited...finally 9pm we were called to our table. Not to mention many people walked in before us, ordered, and were seated well before us. We got to our table and waited another hour before our food came out. We were with a party of 4. I could understand if we were in a large group. We left at 10:30 pm. It took 4 hours for our group of 4 to be seated and eat....im not sure if disorganization is the issue or if they simply let the "regulars" ahead of us no name faced customer 🤔 The scallops were great, the rest wasnt very good, but again it was 10pm at night by the time we got our food so im pretty sure the cook had punched out. We wont be back 😧
Excellent food. Great service and sitting out on the patio enjoying the water while enjoying dinner was so nice.
ALWAYS fantastic food here! It NEVER disappoints!
One of the most disorganized and out of touch businesses I have ever seen. McDonalds gives a better customer experience!!!
Excellent food and service , you wont be disappointed! stop for a drink at the bar before your table is ready, bartender was fantastic! Have your appetizer and drink while you wait then they order your food and when your table is ready they deliver everything at a timely manner . Food is excellent and big portions. The wait staff is friendly and service was wonderful. The location is amazing with views of the lake! I definitely will come back and Imost definitely recommend !
Slow service and mediocre food. Long waits for a table on weekends. Does have a beautiful view of Lake Winnebago.
Beautiful views on lake Winnebago. Friendly staff and the food was fantastic.
Always fun to see smiling faces and eat delicious food! The Mothers Day family style brunch was amazing!!
Excellent mothers day country style buffet, chicken, ham, racks of ribs, dressing, potatoes, vegetables, salad, fruit, and our choice of dessert for $18.99 a person and they let us take leftovers home. Service was great and the scenery was gorgeous
Shout out to Jim and Lindas. Went to dinner tonight and because of a major medical condition my husband has we need to wear masks wherever we go. When our waitress came to take our order she had on a mask and specifically asked us if we would like her to keep it on. Thank you For your understanding. It meant a lot to us. Oh by the way the food was excellent as always.
Great food and drinks! Their Vegas Scallops are awesome!
Absolutely delicious dinner and with the backdrop of Lake Winnebago, the perfect setting to celebrate a dear friends birthday. The bartender was delightful and quite personable as well!A great evening worthy of 5+ stars!
It was quaint. Small and homey feel. The decorations were kind of dated. The family photos on the walls were a bit much. Made me feel awkward....One would have been sufficient. A bit loud for a supper club. I loved the story in the menu of how it all started. The view of the lake was beautiful.
We went at the busiest time... Saturday 6pm, they said 1.5 hour wait...only waited 1 hour. Drinks were good, food was Ok. Steak tenderloin was not what I am used to quality wise. Twice baked potato was crusty on the outside, ok on the inside. Service was friendly, but again we went at a busy time...and service was slow. Had a party of 16 in front of us...
We had a great evening meal I took steak and deep fried lobster. Service was excellent friendly and courteous in my opinion the food was gourmet. Their homemade soup was a great touch. So come over to the Lakeshore enjoy and have a good time
Staff is friendly. Steaks are delicious. Sides are only ok. Got soup and salad with the dinner but we didnt get asked what kind of soup so they maybe only have 1 kind but also would be nice to know what you are even going to get. Thought it was strange. Also asked for no tomato on my salad but picked them off. Ranch dressing is very vinegar heavy in taste.
We drove to the east side of Lake Winnebago for dinner at Jim and Lindas. Nice setting for a restaurant, right on the lake. The bar had a good crowd but not too crowded. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. The food, steak and seafood, with salad, soup, and bread basket, was average. Nothing really great or nothing really bad.
We came with and extended family of 14, but were still very well taken care of. Our food was hot and extremely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful family evening. We will definitely be back again.
Havent been there in years, but still amazing food. A little dark in the dining room since it was starting to storm outside. Service was good. Drinks were amazing! Definitely would recommend the ribs or tenderloin steak! The only thing that could be improved is the parking lot. It needs some repair and lines redone. Even with a smaller vehicle, it was really hard to get out of the parking lot.
The food was ok when we finally got it, but definitely not worth the 2-hour wait for a table. The place was packed inside and out, so it was very loud. No social distancing or masks, clearly ignoring CDC guidelines during a literal pandemic. All in all, I would have rather stayed home or gone somewhere else.
Amazing pasta and vegetable soup, and the view is wonderful, but the best part of my meal hands down was the prime rib sandwich. If you get it, you will struggle to put the deliciousness down almost as much as you will to keep your fingers dry.
Tried out Jim and Lindas lakeview supperclub. Got there at 4:30 had 2 drinks. Whiskey old fashioned sweet and 1 sour. The bartenders were very good. We were seated at 5:00. We got clam chowder soup, salad, followed by our dinner. My husband had the panko crusted walley with broccoli. I had the sauteed seafood platter with twice baked potato. The food was delicious! Our server was Alyssa and she did an amazing job, very friendly and attentive. She came back to our table often to check on us! Definitely give the a try. The views are amazing too!
The food was good; thats the main thing I guess. The wait was long and the bartender (young femalewas down right rude; really rude! I would suggest the owner train his staff in customer relations or get rid of the grumpy rude bartenders!! They ruined the whole experience.
We took our mother in law here as she was visiting from NC. She likes supper clubs and old fashioneds. Just a few things. The old fashioneds are not hand muddled. Could be lack of staff and time to make them.. I know staffing is an issue right now.. I had a salmon pasta which was great, my husband gave his steak an OK. There was a cool patio but you dont really know about it until you are already seated inside. Wouldve been a great place to hang out for a drink beforehand. They might want to put a clapboard out front about it. Great view. All in all it was a fine experience but doubt we would make the 30 min drive again.
Stopped in Tuesday at 5:45. Stopped at the bar, asked to get a table on the patio. Bartender said sure, I can get you drinks and you can pick any table youd like. Got drinks, went to the patio, and sat for over an hour with menus. 8 total tables in the whole place. Waitress came over 30mins in to ask if we checked in with the bar. Waited 30 more minutes without any acknowledgement before leaving.
The entrees were delicious. Wouldnt recommend the potato sides but everything else was great! Our server was sweet and prompt, the setting and view was great and the tunes were fantastic. If we were local, we would come back.
Good food. Nice location. Unfortunately Jim is extremely rude just about every time we go in. We were repeat customers and will not be going back due to his poor customer service. He wants you to sit at the bar & spend your money on drinks when tables are open. Then makes comments making you feel like you need to rush through your meal because he has other customers waiting, again when other tables are open. Im hoping the new owners will be more welcoming.
We waited an hour and a half and were never seated here. There was clearly an empty table, but they started seating other people, and that is when we left and went to eat some place much better. They told us it would be an hour wait, so we came inside after a hour, and ended up waiting even longer. Not every customer wants to just sit at the bar and drink until a table opens up. We will not return here ever. A huge waste of a perfectly good Saturday evening.
Food was absolutely amazing!! Prime rib melted in your mouth and had great flavor! Stuffed shrimp and after dinner drinks also amazing. Cant wait to come back!
We stopped in the Friday, Feb 19, of Battle on Bago. Ive heard good things about this restaurant, but we didnt see it. The old fashions we ordered were very watered down, to the point the group of 5 of us had to have all our drinks remade by a different bartender.Onto dinner. I ordered the special fried platter, my buddy had the prime rib and a few had the perch pan fried. The fried fish was way over fried. I pan fried perch tastes so fishy that my friends couldnt eat it. Most pan fried fish have a light breading on them. These did not. Finally the prime rib. The meat was cooked to order, however the meat did not have any flavor. There was no marbling in the meat once so ever. My friend is a grilling/smoker kind of guy. He eats prime rib on a regular basis. We will never go back here again. The pizza place in Pipe has better food and drink.
Sat at the bar and were asked if we were here for dinner right away and given a menu (no awkwardness of wondering how to get a table). Brandy old fassion sweet was ok but not muddled. Waitress came and took our order after a short bit and then told what table number we were just a short bit later. Our watress was amazing, super friendly and checked on us often (never ran out of water). Prme rib was cooked to perfection and my wifes salmon was perfect (just a tad bit pricier then your average supper club, but it was worth it). Had awesome grass hoppers for dessert.
Great supper club on the lake. Nice view, outdoor/indoor seating and free outdoor music during some summer evenings. I enjoy the haddock with its light, crispy batter. Worth the drive from Fox cities for the experience of Pipe, Wi on the lake.
Great place for drinks outside on the lake. Food was also good. Only downside is the service is very slow on the weekend.
A lively place in the supper club tradition. Great location by the waterfront. The service was good and the food delicious. The lamb shank incredible! Watched the sunset while filling our bellies.
Wisconsin is known for its famous supper clubs and eating at one is definitely on the Wisconsin "to-do" list. (If you wanted to add the other "to-do" option, be sure to visit Lambeau field if youre near Green Bay.Without having to work too hard, you can find one about anywhere in the state. We were in Fond du Lac for a dog show and wanted to experience some of the local flavors of the area, and this included a Wisconsin Supper Club. Our goal was relatively simple, find a supper club on Lake Winnebago. If youre unfamiliar with the Supper Club vibe, picture something between a local place where everyone knows your name (they will if youre a localand a private dinner club or country club for the non-country club types. The food is traditional, made from scratch, with an emphasis on comfort. The modern incarnation may offer healthier options than in the past, but youll still find old-fashioned meals too. If youre lucky, youll get a chance to sample someones secret recipe -- good luck getting those secrets!Youll be able to get a non-alcoholic drink, cold beer or glass of wine, but the mixed cocktail is still king of the supper clubs. Think of some of the traditional adult beverages and your bartender will likely be able to whip one right up for you. A Manhattan always reminds me of my mother, and a vodka martini with an onion for my father, but youll also find gimlets, Tom Collins and usually an excellent Bloody Mary too. Remember your dining in a family business, and youll often end up with family pours in your adult beverages, plan accordingly.Be aware that most supper clubs do not take reservations. We arrived shortly after 4 PM (like old people flocking to the early bird specialsand after being asked if we wanted to register at the bar (I was wearing a jacket that said Riley and wondered if that was why we were asked to register...but we opted for being seated immediately. That was the right call on a Saturday night. (Yes, thinking of my mother again and hearing her say, "Its Saturday night honey..." when restaurants hope to turn over patrons in a timely fashion.Take the time to enjoy your evening - relax, stay a while.Located at the end of the road, if you went past the last parking spot next to the building you would be in the water. This place has a beautiful view of the lake and faces west to enhance your sunset dining experience. In the summer months, you can drive or boat to the restaurant. With a supper club, the history is always part of the experience, and, this one began in September of 1978 when Jim Koenigs and Linda Meyer, at the ages of 19 and 20, purchased the business, then known as Harrys Lakeview. At that time the featured dinners were served with soup, salad, and pasta, complete with potato and vegetable. The building was a modified cottage, with a small bar of 11 barstools and 28 chairs in two tiny dining rooms. Over the years there were several expansions, and now the supper club seats 100 and serves good food and cocktails at a fair price in a casual setting. The three of us tried a variety of meals, all that would have leftovers suitable for the dogs -- yes, they participate in everything we do on the trips! All the meals came with warm rolls, piping hot vegetable soup, and house salad. If you leave this place hungry, youre doing something wrong!Chicken Romanoff - $18.99 - A house favorite! Panko crusted chicken breast stuffed with sour cream, noodles, and chives. This Russian inspired chicken recipe had thinly pounded chicken breasts; noodles piled high and oodles of sour cream. Plenty of food for the price.USDA Certified Angus Beef® Ribeye - 13 oz - $24.99. This steak was ordered rare and came to the table rare.USDA Certified Angus Beef® Prime Rib - Princess Cut (10-12 oz- $23.99.We would revisit Jim and Lindas Lakeview Supper Club.
Of Course Outstanding Food and Service..Was told there was 30 min wait, but was way less suprise for being weekend after Valentines..
