It was under construction but the atmosphere was so fascinating.
Absolutely unbelievable and giantic temple. Visit its underground - it is also very interesting.
A greek catholic church. Used to be occupied by a library archive in soviet times. Still being repaired after that. This church is used for funeral ceremonies of soldiers killed at Donbas war with Russia.
The church was reopened in 2011, it is still being reconstructed. The churchman are very educated...the atmosphere of peace and love.

My favourite church in Lviv! Love it, on Sunday at 3 p.m. there is a service in English
Beautiful Church but still in the restoration, many beautiful old paintings, all tourists are definitely advised to visit and listen to the choir.

Favourite place in Lviv.Unfortunately now it is being restavrated, but anway worth visiting.Atmosphere and calmness🧡Just what one needs
Atmosphere is everything ...
Coming to you straight out the underground! Had a blast exploring the catacombs underneath a 409 year old church located in the downtown of Lviv.Apparently humans were much smaller 400 years ago which makes sense because there would not have been as much food & medicine back in the day... We were lucky to make it out without busting our coconuts wide open 🤣🙈💓The temperature underground is always perfect and kind of makes me want to build a home out of a cave when I get back to the States 🏠🌡️💜 @ Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church
Beautiful old Church that is currently undergoing active renovations. This is a powerful center of spiritual and culture life.
Just a fairy place: amaizing male choir excellent interior decoration
The best place for your soul in Lviv
Beatiful
A truly inspirational church. Ut is alive with parishioners and the celebration of the Liturgy is so joyous.
A chapelans work is often overlooked in general pathos of military ranks. This place will prove it otherwise.
Beautiful church. Known to Lvivs residents as the Jesuit Church and was built in the style of early baroque in the beginning of the 17th century. The building resembles Romes Il Gesù Cathedral and is considered one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Lviv. I believe it was used as a library for years.
Very old and beautiful temple a lot of mystery and peaceful there , I’ll recommend to go there and check out around , old walls carving .The temple built at 16th century and still working nowadays , and also a lot of authentic places around Lviv Ukraine 🇺🇦
Amazing inside. Was under construction and went there by accident during a storm. People there are very friendly
The most comfortable and spiritual church had I ever visited...^-^
It is a place of remembering of heroes who died in the war with Russia
Underground of Saints Peter and Paul Garrison Church or Jesuit Church was built at the beginning of 15th century. This is definitely best underground in Lviv. During trip you will find a lot of interesting things. Panoramic views of ancient city. Ancient sculptures and old time stuff.Strongly recommend you visit this place if youre tourist or locy citizen.
I didn’t go into the underground (wish I had), beautiful church currently undergoing some renovation
You should visit not only the chapel but also the underground caves. It is a wonderful and mysterious space.
Im atheist but the and much more church in Lviv are piece of human history. Thor one us incredibile. Must be visited, believer or not.
Beautiful church. There is huge underground here which is open for tourists.
One of the biggest and beautiful churches of Lviv (I rate it on of the top 5!). It represents it self as military forces church, gather donations for army and take part in volunteer movement.
Nice church. Includes photographs of those ukrainian bead in the war with Russia. Emotional as their pictures are there, and their children wrote notes for them. The church is Italian baroque. I would recommend this place.
Well preserved and rich interiorsThe historical cathedral with the well preserved interiors from the beginning of the 1900s. It had been closed for about the half of the century from 1950s, which kept the interiors intact. Even though there is the extended renovation running inside and the scaffolding covers large part of the ceiling, it is still worth visiting and experiencing the original atmosphere.
One of more interesting churches in Lviv.
The most spectacular "City Church" .. I was married here and my child was christened here. Atmosphere unlike any other. A place close to God.
Franciszek Eckstein polychromy! Nice to see it
Wonderful architect, beautiful place to visit. It has a wonderful scenic beauty around. And some special background history related to black magic.
Amazing place -- full of history, deserves a visit even if you are not religious. Might be very busy at service time -- current priests do extremely good job at running a relevant, contemporary church community.
The Jesuit church is located in the historic center of Lviv, near the former western side of the town fortifications. This is one of the biggest churches of the city, an example of a baroque and Renaissance basilica built upon the pattern of the Il Gesù church in Rome by well-known architects, sculptors, carvers and painters. According to the resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR number 970 dated 23 August 1963, the Jesuit church was entered in the National list of monuments under protection number 338.
Gorgeous cathedral with breathtaking history. Built a long time ago by Jesuits (The Treasure of Nation with Nicolas Cage flashback), its interior was destroyed during the first and second world wars, and lately it was turned into the city archive by the Soviet government. Not that long time ago the cathedral was cleared from the books, including the ancient foliants, as the archive was removed to another, more appropriate building. Then, around 5 years ago, a complex ongoing process of total renovation has started. Now this cathedral looks better abd better, still holding inside a unique atmosphere. For now it is official cathedral of the Military Academy in Lviv, what gives this place a special halo of safety and hope.
Under restoration but it looks amazing.Beautiful architecture, emotional memories of war and soldiers...Must visit.
Currently under renovation. Stunning interiors.
Very nice old building. Amasing
Beautiful historic church. One to visit.
A recently reopened church so full of history.
This is a lovely, quiet place, even with crowds. Its still under renovation, with scaffolding over the front altar. In winter the sunlight coming through the windows makes a terrific photo.
