Hillel St 23, Jerusalem, 9458123, Israel, Jerusalem
A 4-minute walk from a tram stop, this relaxed hotel is 2 km from both the Western Wall and the Temple Mount.Featuring elaborate artwork, the contemporary rooms offer flat-screen TVs and safes. Some rooms have free Wi-Fi and/or city views.A breakfast buffet is included and served in an urban-chic dining room. There's a hip lobby bar/cafe offering street views. Other amenities include a fitness center and parking (fee).
The rooms werent bad and were pretty modern with the exception of the broken shower door that nearly fell on top of me... Everything else about the hotel was pretty bad though. Hallways, staircase, and elevator were eery. Also, theres only one elevator. Place also wreaked of cigarettes
The location of the hotel is great, the rooms are okay and the breakfast is typically Israeli which was also okay. We stayed for a few nights and everything was fine but unfortunately I discovered a few days after we checked out, that some of my good clothes are missing and also an envelope with money.
This was a great hotel, accommodation were great. It had a very comfortable bed. I would recommend this hotel. I lost my virginity here, 10 out if 10 would recommend doing again
Wonderful location, you can get everything in walking distance to mall to all kinds of shops to bars to Jerusalem.
Great staff, hotel is comparable to a cheap motel 6 in America. Staff are excellent however. If you need to sleep great place. If you want to enjoy your room, go somewhere else
terrible hotel! All night long we couldnt sleep because the window in the room was broken, a crazy wind came in and we suffered all night. The hotel staff had no way of helping us and in the morning they responded that this was our problem. Stay away from this hotel !! Not worth the money and the unpleasant experience. In addition, the bed is uncomfortable, the room is not Clean and full of hair Everywhere ... Do yourself a favor and go to another hotel.
Outstanding location, best service and staff in Jerusalem... Love this hotel
Nice hotel, friendly staff.
The only pro is the proximity to the old city, and maybe the price. Cons are the cleaning of the room (inhexistent), the service, the breakfast (disgusting). I was in a room located on the 9th floor, but the noise from the street was like I was on the first. This is the first time in my life I didnt find a minibar in the room. Not recommended.
I suppose if youre dying to sleep somewhere, this place will do. But its certainly not luxury. Its quiet, Ill give it that. And the bathrooms are updated, so thats nice. But the rooms are small and not a lot of thought has gone into making the rooms chic, hip, or colorful. Its kinda sad. The hallways are narrow and poor kept up. Nothing screams NICE. And this is a hot bed for American teenage groups, so youll be kept up all night by screaming kids. The doors and walls are paper thin. I would hardly say this is worth $120 a night. And the area isnt extremely lovely.Whereas most hotels have people that are hired specifically to give you that fancy, upscale experience, this staff is made up of grumpy older men who just needed a job. I think its like one guy and his cousin and his friend and their ungrateful nephews. The staff is not trying to impress you with that super professional hotel politeness. In fact, theyre down right rude.As an American, I didnt realize that my reservation ended on Saturday evening and not Sunday morning. The front desk chewed me out, as if I had purposefully meant to try to pull one over on them. They didnt assume for one moment that I was simply confused and it was a misunderstanding. When I came back to retrieve my things, they had a teenager who worked there stand outside my door as I packed up my things.I cant say I recommend this place. If youre going to spend this type of money, spend a little more and go to a hotel thats actually nice.
The hotel’s service was completely messed up the staff was extremely rude and very unorganized would not recommend this hotel to anyone better options for this price.
Very close to all the things like the Old Town. The room was very basic no tea or coffee making and with the heat no fridge. A couple of the staff were really good and knew how to treat visitors to their country but when I asked the counter clerk if I could leave the room key he told me very bluntly that he had no place to hold it. This I thought strange and perhaps is something that needs looking at like other hotels have.
Dirty lobby floors and walls, rooms have peeling paint and stained walls, toilet paper is like sandpaper.
Good location and good price. Otherwise very basic hotel with limited amenities.
Decent rooms very good breakfast.
Cheap mass tourism hotel but cool
Rooms are very small,no place to put cloths. Rooms were very cold, heat was controlled by front desk. Dinning room, not impressed mornings, same food during entire stay. Dinner again not impressed.
Very basic hotel. Rooms are tiny, bathtubs are for display - no stoppers, thin plastic drinking water glasses, no tea/coffee maker. Ancient, creaky lifts that are slow. Our itinerary had us booked at the Shani Hotel, but since they were over booked, we were sent to this hotel. A sad exchange, I believe
Heating didnt work in room and we couldnt change to another room and nothing was done to accommodate us. Breakfast is also poor. Worst hotel I stayed in in the past years.
We had requested early check in and them last minute it wasnt available. We came work a group of 25 people. Most of our rooms didnt have towels. We requested towels. They came in and checked to see if their were 2 or 3 people in each room, they would give an extra towel. The food was terrible. The beds were bad. Rooms were tiny. Staff was unfriendly. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone.
An uncomfortable bed and a smell of sewage.Good location..
Noisy room : window closed make as it is open because of bad seal and give you all street noises and poor sleep. Poor bed with broken springs. Very expensive price for a bottle of wine.
Dirty and very unfriendly staff, the rooms are very small. We have been there with a big group and nobody could enjoy it.
What I liked most of all about this hotel is the location. Many good shops and cafes are near and its also 20 minutes walking distance from the old part of Jerusalem. Food was ok too.
Great hotel. Amenities are good too.
We started our walking around jerusalem very early to avoid the too much sun. From here, the view of jerusalem was very nice. Bring lots a water.
The beds were not super comfortable. The staff were ok. The location is great though!
Located 20 mins away from the old city. Rooms are clean but all staff are very attentive to your needs.
Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff and great location. Recommend.
Crappy on every single level. I have travelled 4 continents and been to countless of hostels and hotels, I have rarely been to such a terrible hotel. Its not the worst because I have experienced truly horrifying places, but its in the top 10 of my worst experiences. Just to mention a few things: beds are uncomfortable, many objects from the toilet seat to the chairs are just broken, its not clean, food is bad..etc. location good, though. Dont come here.
The Jerusalem Tower its one of worst hotel I ever stayed around the places I had been, in Brazil, United States, Netherlands and Israel. The only good thing here is the location because you can walk from where it is located to the Temple of the Old City, to the Manilla Mall , to the commerce at Ben Yehuda street, to some bars and restaurants and coffee places close by. The rooms are horrible, too tiny, with a Painted strange picture in one of the entire wall on every rooms, each floor. The support of the cushion , I dont call bed its old , horrible cushion and the maintenance if the rooms are not the best either. The choice for the second time wasnt mine, I went to Israel with a group and the accommodations again rely in person prefer location instead of a good room with a decent bed.The restaurant and food are not so great either. THEY repeat the same food at least 2 or 3 times disguising a little bit. They dont even offers a fresh brewed coffee or cappuccino. The gentleman manage the kitchen is very rude and impolite doesnt make any effort to speak English when you ask anything to him.
Clean, small rooms. Bed was very painful to sleep in. Very loud location.
The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the location was amazing, right at the center of Jerusalem, walking distance from the old city and market!
Noisy, uncomfortable bed, dishonest staff, and I would rather pay for breakfast than eat their free breakfast. Location isnt everything.
I stayed at this hotel last week, it is not my first time as I have been here 3 times before, but many years ago. I think I stayed there due the fact I was first there in 1973 and it was nostalgia and that it is right in the centre. The hotel boats that it has had 10 million dollars spent on it in the last few years, well it does not show. The lobby is clean but no way welcoming. The lifts have noisy old doors that bang closed, you could be in a warehouse not a 3 star hotel. The rooms are small badly decorated and the bed uncomfortable, with thin mattresses that creak as you move and you can hear the springs. Sleep quality is very poor. The window will open on tilt, but not the usual was, therefore it is open and as there is a bar below it can be very noisy till the early hours. The sleep quality is poor and the hotel needs to address replacing their beds with new ones, deep mattresses and good pillows. The bathrooms have been changed and are clean, although the mirror on the wall the mercury is going at the edges, so this is either sub quality or left over from the 1970s.. The breakfast is alright but nothing special, it was basic and had a small variety but was set out in an uninviting way. This hotel is in the most amazing position, and some rooms have excellent views over the city others the opposite. There were a number of other hotels that are of similar price, some much better, but slightly further out and others also close to the centre.
I stayed here for the David project because our flight got cancelled so we had to stay an extra day in Jerusalem. We had to leave prima Kings and go to this hotel since there was only last minute space available here. The lobby wasnt very pleasant and it seemed a little of what Id call ratchet. The rooms were pretty tiny and a little uncomfortable for 3 people. Out of all things though, the bathroom in the hotel room was actually pretty nice. The breakfast here was really underwhelming, so if breakfast is something important to you I would not recommend it. Locationwise, it was close to some pretty decent nightlife so that was fun about the place. And as far as I know, its a little less than a mile from the old City. Overall, if you are a young person on a tight budget, I think this would be a fair place to stay. However, if you are able to pay a little more for a better place - I would.
Nice staff.Room very small and sundown not sound proof
Its a good place for anyone who wants to spend some time in Jerusalém city. Good location, good price. Near the mall
Clean hotel. Small. Good location. Heard a lot of noise on the 8th floor from outside on Thursday night - it’s party time at the Irish pub around the corner. Friendly service. No frills. Small rooms but for the price, it’s fair. Would definitely consider staying there again for $80-90 a night.
Way to small rooms, we had to sleep with 3 persons in a 1 person room.. the bed was terrible.. and the worst was no deserts
Great central location. Facilities good but no fridge in rooms.
Nice Receptionist, rooms Are okay, good Israeli breakfast, it isnt very loud from the street!
Horrible service horrible rooms and theres always a big group of kids outside that make it very awkward when leaving the hotel .
Good hotel in great lication at center of the city
Rooms are a little small, but they are clean. Good food and accommodating staff.
Not very friendly staff at reception, rooms dont have kettle for hot drinks
Beautiful place. Very clean rooms & very polite staff. I love the view but the re are only 2 elevators.
Great location in down town JerusalemThe rooms are small nevertheless The hotel has been renovated and has a friendly staff.
Great Location... otherwise ...Where to start with this place?! Well start with the staff since thats the first impression. The staff was apathetic to downright rude. We had been in Israel for a number of days and understand theres some cultural things that maybe we dont get but the rudeness was on a new level. The staff was more interested in playing facebook video games. (Note: If you guys like FB games, this staff might actually be good to invite... just saying). This isnt a casual statement, they were literally playing games and told me to wait. From there lets talk about the elevators. You know those movies where people get stuck.. the director must have stayed here first. Seriously, this place needs to come up with a t-shirt that says, "I survived the Jerusalem Tower Elevator." In our group it became a badge of courage to use the elevators. In fact, we were quickly handing out advice on how to get it unstuck since the staff could easily spend 30 minutes waiting to help you.All that to get to the room, its exhausting just to remember it. The room was "OK" another in the "low-ceiling-cruise-esque" style. The room itself felt a bit dirty and we had a hole in the wall where the phone should have been connected. There was a lovely (sarcasmart piece above our bed - see photo. It looked like angry graffiti. If cleaned the room would be a 3 to 3.5 stars in the US.The bathroom was TINY. There was very little space to do anything in there. Its clear that the designer hadnt thought of large Americans ever coming here. The wifi had an A and B but that didnt help. The only place to get a real signal was the lobby. The gym is a laughable room with with a treadmill, elliptical, bike, and home gym set up. There are a few free weights and one bench. I really feel bad about complaining about the gym but in order to use it you have to wait for the person using it to return the key to the front desk. The staff will tell you, "you wait here" if the gym key is in use.The restaurant is soo forgettable. The options are sparse. You can have a decent salad but the fruit looks like it was from a can and the food options dont really seem to be "home cooked." In addition, the staff will scowl at you the entire time you eat.Luckily the location was decent so you could walk yourself to just about any of the options the downtown offers.
Located perfectly near the major Streets of Ben Yehuda and Yaffa.12 min. From the old city. The crew is very pleasant and helpful.10$ parking and complimentary breakfast (not amazing but free😉).The rooms are very small. Like in a cruise line.
