One the best bars Ive ever visited in my life. Yes, its not cheap, but its worth every cent, highly recommend!! If Ill ever return to Rome again, Ill visit them again, multiple times(if reservation will allow5++

The atmosphere is a solid 10/10, with live music often being played inside. They required a table reservation beforehand I believe, and required you to answer a quiz online to get the secret password you tell them at the door. The cocktails were nothing extraordinary, and smoking inside is allowed.

I wish there was an option to give 10 stars, best cocktails Ive tasted in my life.Sadly you are limited to an hour and a half and 3 cocktails max, and no food other than a bit of bread.

Very sofisticates and fresh drinks. Very high level. They have pretty good air filtering systems so the smoke didnt bother me although I usually hate snoke.

I solved the code word and found out they weren’t letting people in who didn’t have reservations. Perplexed. Bouncer was super nice and honest so he gets 5 stars.

Expensive, small bar with 100% tourists. We were seated in the aisle with low tables and a very high counter which wasnt comfortable and made no sense.Cocktails were small and very sweet.Staff were nice. Dont mind a bar with a shtick but here there was nothing more to it than that.

The idea of this bar is brilliant but the experience we had wasnt as great as I feel it should have been. I would recommend you book online - we just turned up, not realising we needed a password so then stood outside for 5 minutes trying to find it online after the door was closed on us. This would have been fun if wed have realised beforehand that it was part of the experience. In the way it was presented it did slightly break the immersive experience.The inside decor is a really nice speakeasy vibe, cosy and dark and good music. However its so dark we needed our phone torch to light the menu, and were swiftly told to turn it off.The cocktails we had were really good but unfortunately the service was a bit flat and made us feel a bit uncomfortable (as did the seating). The waitress also tried to upsell the cocktails - I wanted the classic martini and I felt like I was being pressured into buying the crafted martini which cost about 5eur more.We could only stay for one drink as the 5EUR "members fee" charge on top of the 18EUR cocktails each was a bit steep for us.I would recommend this for a different night out in Rome though as the whole idea, music and atmosphere is pleasant.

Surreal experience, a dive into the prohibition era. Beautifully crafted cocktails with a unique blend of flavours. Impeccable service. Highly recommended.

Incredibly noisy if you are a guest of the Rooms in the building above. Its very inconsiderate to allow your members and guests to make such a racket when exhausted tourists are trying to sleep.

My wife and I shared 5 drinks and they were all very well crafted cocktails. The service was also very good and they made us feel very welcome.Make sure to get the password in advance and I would recommend a reservation, as the wait time for walk up patrons can be long.Overall, such a great experience. We will be back for sure!

Our first night out in Italy as a couple we decided to visit this “cocktail bar” as it is listed on Google. We arrived outside of the bar just to see a closed door and people waiting in the rain to get in. A hostess opened the door some minutes later asking if anyone had a reservation so he could get in which is ok.We didn’t have a reservation so we decided to wait as we were told by the hostess..The rain got stronger and more people came outside to wait. After a few more minutes the hostess started getting groups of people inside that didn’t have reservations but were there after we did.When she came out for the third time asking for a couple that just arrived if they want to get in, we asked her why is she ignoring us and her response was “i only have a place for two people standing at the bar”. We said that we were cool with that and that she should ask us first since we were the ones waiting the longer and she said ok then you can come in.She then proceeded to ask us for a password since the place is members only 😂. When we replied that we didn’t know the password or that the place is “members only” she prompted us to a site with some riddles that if we solved them we would know the pass to get in.Ofcourse while we were trying to figure out what’s going on standing in the rain she let more people get in..After 25’ in the rain and the unprofessional behavior of the hostess we just left.First of all, you are not a members only bar you’re pretending to be one. Figuring out a puzzle in a site doesn’t make you a member. As a bar owner i could write a whole book on how wrong and fake your treatment of potential customers is but i know that it would hit on deaf ears cause supposedly your bar is a success.I just hope that someone reads this review and avoid your place.Goodbye and good riddance.

Went here last night and had a fantastic experience! Drinks were incredible as expected, but what really blew me away was the fantastic service from their employees. They were always swinging by to check on us and were extremely knowledgeable about the drink selections available and provided great recommendations. Easily one of the best speakeasy experiences Ive ever had! If its your first time going, make sure to get the password from their website and reservations are highly recommended. $5 membership fee is required and lasts for a year (if youre lucky enough to be a local). Some older reviews mentioned that this is a cash only bar, but this is no longer the case... our table was able to pay for everything with card.

We had such a amazing experience here last night. The cocktails were delicious, the ambiance incomparable, everything was perfect, but we are mostly grateful for how kind they were to accommodate us. We had a birthday party and the reservation was done for the next day (as it was at midnightso beware when you do this, but you the manager was able to let us in at a later time, grazie mille!!! If you are in Rome, this is a must, but make sure to plan ahead.

Wow, one of the best places ive been too.we had 5 cocktails and all of them were amazing (i tell you that as a long time bartenderand the place looks incredible, get me in the the 20s vibe. Also the staff were amazing and really kind.

Nice cocktail bar that is mostly targeted for tourists. Service was attentive in a North American style. However, it is mandatory to purchase a 5€ per person subscription. We were 3 people, paid 65€ for 3 cocktails and only stayed 45 minutes. We won’t come back but some of us enjoyed their cocktail and overall experience.

This is a gem of Rome. It perfectly captures the speakeasy vibe with intimate lighting, tantalizing music, historical artifacts, and most importantly, craft cocktails. The mixologists anticipate your needs before you knew you had them. "An anise-based drink? Thats exactly what I was looking for. A ghost old fashioned? PERFETTO." Everyone is dressed to impress, conversation is stimulating. Jerry Thomas is surely tipping his hat to the creators of his namesake project.

Very cool bar. Amazing atmosphere. Nice cocktails. They guve you a bag with focaccia, some nice recommendations and the service its outstanding. The only thing to consider is that your time is limited so it’s feels a little rushed but worth it

Came here on recommendation from the waiter at dinner our last night in Rome. Dont be alarmed that its a normal looking door in a random looking alley. Everything screams residential street. Keep going!We felt very unprepared, didnt have a reservation and didnt know to take the quiz to figure out the password. We showed up, rang the bell and played dumb haha!Reservations are typically only 90 minutes anyways, so they said we could squeeze in between other reservations. Keep in mind this was during July, peak Summer before midnight. So be sure to go even if you dont have a reservation. They will most likely squeeze you in.So now for the meat and potatoes...Pros-overall vibe is very swanky. Proper American speakeasy. Leather furniture, vintage news articles, art, and collectibles.-cocktails are impeccably crafted. Well balanced and tasty. I had the aviatior. It was one of the more affordable drinks (range 15-25 euro). It was light and citrusy. Great on a hot night.-intimimate setting. Great for romance or a relaxed vibeCons-not good for bigger groups and time limit-expensive drinks-limited drinks menu (but you could circumvent by going to bar and telling them what you like for something custom)-SMOKING is very much still en vogue here. So be prepared the small setting is gonna be cloudy- have to be a member. So if youre not, thats an unexpected 5 euro/person. Good for a year5/5 for drinks4/5 for vibe3/5 for location (its a bit on the outskirts of Rome)Overall unique thing to do after dinner and before a night out!

Just amazing! Ive loved every detail: the cocktails, the service and the mood its high class. The environment is amazing! A must stop if you are in Rome and wanna experience something different. You just need to enjoy this place with the correct mindset because is allowed to smoke inside.Thanks for having us! See you next time 😉

What an experience! From the way you enter the club, the attention from the staff, the cool 1920s interior and excellent cocktails! The service was exceptional, Nick was a wonderful waiter, offered us great selection of cocktails. Fun place to try if you love a good cocktail and you’re searching for a different than usual bar experience! Make sure to make a reservation on their website and enjoy.

Great place, wide range of drinks. Had the ghost old fashioned. Through some wizardry they made it translucent. Would recommend if youd like a drink not found at other places

Incredible, incredible, incredible - the “Michelin star” equivalent for a bar! The service was impeccable, the drinks delicious and creative, and the secrecy surrounding the whole thing just added to the experience. I managed to try three cocktails during the 90 minute booking and they were each better than the last. I only wish I could have had a longer time booked, there were so many more cocktails I would have liked to try!

Too cool for (oldschool cocktail bar. Private club so you have to pay a membership fee and, most annoyingly, people can then smoke inside which feels so bad after we have all got used to smoke free venues. The cocktails were brilliant and the music and vibe were great. Id tell you the secret password which you need to get in but then Id have to kill you

Excellent classic and craft cocktails. Some very innovative, rotating options - I loved the Peat + Milk. Its technically a club, so youll have to pay a small fee to join. I strongly suggest making reservations. Lovely spot if youre looking for a broader selection of cocktails.

An absolutely amazing bar. The secrecy and exclusivity, adds to the whole experience. The waiters know all about the cocktails, and they are extremely professional. Great cocktail experience, delivered against my expectations. Tried four drinks during my allowed 90 minutes and all were revelations. The only negatives I can provide are the limited time they allow with each reservation and the mandatory membership fee which seems very unnecessary. The prices are very high also, but the drinks back it up.

Fun! You have to hunt for the password on their website. It changes regularly. Its a private members club so youll have a small fee to pay but its worth it. The atmosphere will take you right back to the 1920s. Fantastic selection of cocktails. The staff are very friendly.

Super nice location! Very small and intimate atmosphere, nothing mainstream. Everybody who works there knows exactly what to do. Our waiter Nicholas chose every drink for us based on what we liked and he nailed it with every drink! I just told him something fruity and sweet and every drink he served was so delicious!

Possibly the coolest bar Ive ever been in. You need a secret password to gain access. Would recommend booking in advance to make sure you get to spend a decent amount of time here. We only had about 40 minutes but we made the most of it.The cocktails although not cheap (10-15 Euroare INCREDIBLE. Staff are super welcoming and very good at what they do.

I arrived at the JTP with fairly low expectations. It had been something of a frustrating struggle to make my reservation, and I assumed my experience there would be an extension of that. My fear was misplaced; every aspect of my time there was an absolute delight. The service was impeccably warm and attentive, my only complaint being that David, our server, could not join us for a conversation over cocktails. Unsurprising given its reputation, the drinks themselves were unique, perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious, with a superlative attention to detail. Except for the area directly adjacent to the bar itself, which is pleasantly bright and jovial, the atmosphere was dark, mysterious, romantic and wonderfully cozy; an eclectic mix of old-timey classics and obscure musical gems playing in the background being the icing on the cake. Thus I entered a skeptic and left a satisfied fan. Cheers to JTP for a job well done!

Very cool atmosphere need secret password to get in Great old jazz music. Very nice drinks and great knowledgeable staff. One problem fyi they smoke cigarettes indoors a real turn off for me. I think they should give u a heads up otherwise really fun

Ive been to too many speakeasies that arent the real deal but this is NOT one of them. Ahead of our trip to Rome, I found this place on several "Best of Rome" cocktail lists. We decided to give it a try one night in August 2021 after our first stop at Drink Kong and were blown away. The atmosphere is dark and lively -- the drinks offered were a good mix of classic and modern (reinterpretations of some of my favorites). They have a decently sized menu with lots of variety, including punches if youre looking for something boozy and crushable. The inside is filled with eclectic decorations and lively Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and other classic crooners filled the room. The staff was incredibly nice -- making sure we understood the menu and explaining the concept of the speakeasy to us right after we sat down. I could see myself spending a couple of hours here enjoying drinks, either with a date or a small group. Call ahead and snag a reservation -- the details are on the website. Definitely find a way to make a stop here if youre a fan of cocktails.

Hidden speakeasy. They are selective who they let in to the place as its only small and given the current situation. Really nice cocktail menu although not cheap drinks were excellent. I had a clear whiskey old fashioned which had been filtered and mixed in such a way.. but it still tasted like an old fashioned.

Probably one of the most famous cocktail bar in Italy as it seems to be the first proper speakeasy in the country. It helped them gain international recognition with their talented team that have been crafting high quality and creative cocktails for a decade. While there normally is a member fee of 5€ per head, this is being waved until the end of the year 2020 as an incentive during this difficult time.

The drinks are good, and the place is well designed, however, only when we were already sitted we were told that we have to pay 5 euros per person for a membership card. Also, smoking is allowed inside, and being a very small place made it very uncomfortable. Although the drinks are good, not sure its a place Id like to go back to

A cool hidden bar to stop by for a drink or two. The drinks are overpriced but you dont go to a place like this to park all night for endless drinks. We were able to get in without reservations but we got lucky and had to share the table with a few others.

Wonderful night and good vibes in Jerry Tomas. Recommend to call and make a reservation if you know you will go there. They are private club so u will need to pay 5euro for the membership but you will not charge again in the future visit. The cocktail menu is fantastic. We tried a few and they are well balanced and with lovely taste. Price wise is about 10-14euro.

Awesome place to enjoy craft cocktails in a wonderful prohibition-era ambience. Spontaneous walk-ins may lead to not having a place to sit at but the staff will seat you as soon as any seating is available. I’d recommend to do a reservation in advance to make sure that you’ll be able to enjoy the comfy couches. The pricing of the drinks is (like the drinkson a higher than usual level but they‘re totally worth their money. First time visitors have to fill out a membership card and pay 5€ for a year long membership. I totally recommend this place to any cocktail-loving people!

From the moment they slide open the small window in the door to ask you the password (visit their website first as it changes daily), this place is an experience to remember. It really is exactly where Google Maps says it is--just push the button to get inside this "hidden" gem and enjoy their expertly crafted cocktails. Ill be back tomorrow (which is the best compliment I can give to any place).It takes me right back to the prohibition days of my youth (I missed the 1920s but my parents did not allow me to consume alcohol as a child).

Staff were very friendly, but you go through a process to reserve than you share a table with another couple (awkward), on a really uncomfortable low bar stool and when more seats made themselves available, we were not invited to move.Drinks take long and you can tell from all the tables waiting, the worst thing you can have is long waits for your drinks, totally kills your vibe...

Not a bad place to enjoy a classic cocktail. Once you get past the door and the you need to be a member thing, they know how to make a good drink.Venue is small, and as I was there early, one guy sparked up a cigar, I suspect that the place could get quite smokey.Ive been to many hidden bars in my life, this was a little ordinary.
