Jerry's Restaurant - American restaurant in Safford, United States
This place will take you back to the 60s, from the posters on the wall to the malt making machine to the waitresses dressed for the era. Service was fantastic, food was very good and large portions. We will come back again.
Passing through this little town. I stopped for breakfast. The service was excellent and their food was delicious 😋
Great food got the big Bertha tasted amazing coffee was good service was good 5 stars all around
Delicious food, very attentive servers, and a great value for how much food you get.
The food and service is always good. The issue with waiting to pay is terrible. At least on the weekends they should have a host. Some people wait longer to pay then they do anything else. The servers need help. I also see them cleaning there own tables. Way to over worked.
Staff arent too talkative but pleasant enough. Its a nice place thats been around since 1966.
Worst service! Only side options at noon are fries or salad? Had to ask for everything i.e. knife, mayo, ketchup as they were empty at noon? Got one cup of coffee cause my waiter cant stay focused. Theres no chipotle mayo for the burger I ordered that is supposed to have chipotle mayo. No burger sauce? What is wrong with management took an hour and a half to get a club and a burger then twenty minutes to get mayo for my dry burger that is supposed to have chipotle mayo. Wont be back again last three times they were out of chicken fried steak. Seems like management is taking a nap and the employees just want tips but the service is beyond sub-par! If you want a frustrating dining experience come here. If you want to enjoy yourself go somewhere else.
I gave 3 stars because we had a 5 star experience for dinner Friday night. Amazing food and wonderful server, place was busy and she was able to keep up, act kind and pleasant, and made us want to return. Sunday morn for breakfast, different story. Food was good. Rude servers ignoring people waiting to sit, order, or pay. Then I heard one server laughing and making fun of a customer for addressing how long he had to wait to pay. The customer next to me who was a regular joked, he said hed be done eating before we got to put in our order (togo). We were there about 60-minute for a togo order bc of the service (or lack ofwaitresses literally ignore you and laugh about it. Food was delicious both times.
This is the 3rd time my Honey and I have eaten at Jerrys. Everyone has been super nice.Great little hometown restaurant 😀
Excellent service and food. Waitress handled my large family from out of town well. Recommend
Great food, even better service! Very, very good food.
Busy little joint. No frills, lots of options.8/29/22- late night bite. Had a BLT and the B was very well done. But the service was quick and friendly.
Very busy, short on staff, but the staff there was great! Great burger!
Our food was very good ol American, home style. Our salads that came with our meals were lg and fresh. The service was pleasant and fast. The building is old and the atmosphere is of asmall town diner. THAT FITS 🤗
Better than Dennys hands down. Food and service is awesome 👌
Im not one to ever complain and write these. But I am never coming to eat here again. When I walked in two days ago, tables were not cleaned. No one even bothered to clean them when it wasnt busy and they were doing nothing. Then after we ate and went home, three hours later I started to feel nauseated, I ran to the bathroom and threw up everything. I called the restaurant and they told me to call the next day to speak to a manager since one wasnt on shift. I called the next day, he told me to come in today so I did. I walked in. They only gave me $25 in cash when my order was $34 and change ON MY CARD. Its just been a hassle with them. Not happy
Always good food and experience. Menu is comfort food, staff is family oriented. Be yourself.
We were a large party today, service was adequate, food was hot and what was expected. No major concerns, nothing extraordinary.
I came here expecting to be served good food in a timely manner which they got my food out so quickly I was confused how they could make my food in that amount of time. The waitress never let my coffee cup get halfway empty, was asked if I needed anything multiple times. Some of the best service in town.
Meal was hot on arrival. Good, attentive waitress. I got the Big Berthas CFS, with hashbrowns and a biscuit. Biscuit was slightly dry, but warm. The CFS was hot, fresh and had good flavor. Eggs were over easy. As opposed to over medium, as asked. There was not enough Gravy to cover the CFS. Over all, 4 stars. Good food.
I went here with my friend, for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Both times, it was amazing, they make you feel like family here. I will go here everytime Im down there.
Hometown restaurant thats been around for a long time, and it is obvious why. The wait staff is super fast and efficient, service was fast and the food was good. I had the sink omelette (photo shows it folded over by meand my companion had the 66 Burger. Both were good and good size portions. We enjoyed the atmosphere with the old-fashioned advertising overhead.
I have been door dashing for Jerrys for a year now and have never had a significant problem with the employees, however my wife who also doordashes has been treated rudely on several occasions and without cause. Apparently she tried to affirm that a customers order was correct on behalf of the customer and was told, "We know our business", and on at least one other occasion was ignored and then treated rudely. Even though I like some members of the staff there I will not be going back in the future, either to deliver orders for Jerrys or to dine therebecause of the way my wife was treated. These people need to grow up and be adults.
I didnt take photos for this trip because I was starving, but if you are looking for a breakfast joint if your coming down the mountain from New Mexico or any way on your drive Jerrys is a great stop. We ordered the Hungry Traveler which comes with a ton of food. You get choice of eggs, six slices of bacon, sausage, or half of each, hashbrowns, and a stack of pancakes(3which you could sub for toast. It was a lot of food and I was able to make it through half my pancakes and almost all of everything else.I would also stop here for lunch as well. I had a bit of food envy from the order of the next table. The customer ordered pot roast which looked very tasty. You will definitely walk out with a food coma.As for the staff, our waitress was very nice and welcoming. The kitchen staff is fast which they have to be due to the number of customers coming in and out. Definitely a stop as this location is now the only one in Arizona.
Food is so good! If you love pot roast do not miss it. Look forward to my trips to Stafford for this place!
Servers are great, food is the same stuff you can get at Walmart and throw in the air fryer. Convenience is really all you get here.
The Rueben sandwich was really good. The French fries were crispy.
When I first moved to Safford in 2017, I thought that there must be a lot of good mom and pop restaurants in this area. Not so. There are no exceptional places to eat in Safford, Thatcher, or Pima. They all rate from my taste as mediocre at best with some better than others. Jerry’s is no exception. The service at Jerry’s has been okay in my experience. I think when these restaurant owners hire cooks in this area, anyone that says they can boil a pan of water is automatically hired. Safford and the surrounding area has no concept of what good food or service is.
The "Pork Chops" were very dried out as if they were made in the morning and kept under a heat lamp all day. The carrots were soggy and flavorless. The corn bread was disappointing as well. Overall the food wasnt anything that Id be proud to serve anyone. I was expecting my food to be freshly made not recently pulled off the storage oven. The presentation was ok but everything went down hill after that. My buddy got a sandwich and it was good and fresh. 1 out of 2 was good.
We cone here every once and awhile they are a little slow to get started and not very good at paying attention to the table and drinks but their food is usually pretty good
Food was delicious, unfortunately the service was slow. We waited almost 45 mins for our food to arrive. But when we got it, it was really good.
Was extremely unsatisfied! Not one of us liked our food. We ordered the Philly cheesesteaks the quality of meat was terrible and on half of our bun was nothing I thought it was a joke at first but then the same thing happened with my boyfriends. My daughter ordered pancakes and she didn’t even want to eat them. Won’t be back waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend.
The service was not nice at all the food was not good what so ever! I ordered a salad and they gave me only a rabbit salad with a whole tomato with the sticker on it and plus it wasnt cleaned at all and my boyfriend got nachos with like no cheese or anything he wanted on it plus my 1 year old got chicken tenders and they gave her half of a peach (not cut up into bite size peacesand very hot fries and very hot chicken to were I couldnt even touch it to break it up so my daughter couldnt even eat!! They didnt even tell me it was going to be very hot!!! Im so disappointed in Jerrys tonight cause all the other times Ive been there its always been nice and good food but tonight was the complete opposite!!!
It was okay the service is the best though the portions for me are oversized way too much in a plate for other people you might like that pricing is okay I thought it was okay nothing special but the waitresses and service are pretty good
Great food, I had the best Reuben sandwich in a long time. Onion rings were cooked to perfection. Staff was friendly and attentive. Place was clean and orderly. 5 stars all around.
Had a wonderful meal on my way through town!! Will travel from tucson to eat here again!! The waitress was super attentive and sweet!(cant remember her name, tall and young with really long hair)Food was served fast and was delicious! Even ordered an omelet to go!! A must try!!
Had a great lunch !! Good food, service, price !!
Strawberry pancakes were anemic but passable. Could have used 30 seconds more each side to get golden brown. The hash browns were incredibly greasy, I couldn’t eat them. On the up side charming place, food delivered quickly, service with a smile.
Server really tried his best but he was repeatedly let down by the kitchen. In our current covid impacted environment I try to be generous with tips and reviews but I have to be honest, the food sucked. Several from my group of 10 had been there before and was good then. This trip not do much.
Adorable restaurant with a retro atmosphere and I love taking my kids here! The food is usually really well done, but I do have to take one star off for the "usually" part of that statement. Sometimes you may get food over cooked or even wrong, it comes with being a diner I know, but the staff is quick to get it fixed up for you! Takeout sometimes is missing things, but the staff is more than willing to help out with that too. The wait staff is super nice and friendly and I love taking my family here for breakfast! Worth the stop!
Quaint little diner with traditional American food. Went for breakfast. Good coffee and good portions.
I’ve driven east coast to west and north to south, this diner is by far one of my Favorites!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This place is a gem! Passing through we stopped for a meal and so glad we did! Team is a well oiled machine and the atmosphere is busy but friendly. Wish we had ordered the chicken fried steak, it looked so good but we will next time!
Jerrys is a great place to get a meal. Whether you get breakfast or lunch or dinner, it is all good. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and very efficient. The prices are also very reasonable. It is a good place to take your family or a date. You will not be disappointed.
We travel a lot for our job and after a day of putting in almost 800 miles on the road we stopped for dinner in Safford at 9:00 at night hoping someplace was open. We knew they were probably close to closing but not only did they greet us with a smile, they made no mention of their closing time which we truly appreciated!!! They were all so nice and in no way rushed us through our meal. The food was SO yummy we will definitely visit again. Thank you!!!!
Service was fast and great! Food was on point!!!!The corned beef hash is homemade and the eggs benedict is soooooo goooooood!!!!
They were fantastic! Great service, delicious food!! We will definitely go back!
Absolutely love this place. Hometown feel, and great service every single time we go, which is every time I visit my son at EAC. The only "complaint" we had was we felt the recipe for the pancakes had changed, not as good as prior visits. Food is always great and fast. Gentleman at the register is a hard working guy and we love him as our server! Hes a genuine dude and hes our families favorite. Keep up the good work!
Its not an regular staple but nice to go to every once in a while. I love the small town restaurant vibes. The food is pretty decent but the service could have been better (we were given the wrong meals and not a complete meal once it did come outand the AC has been out for some time now.
Service was great! Good atmosphere. Food could be better. Both pancakes and the biscuit tasted like they had too much baking soda.
