Built 1908–1914, this historic Romanesque church features statues of Korean Catholic martyrs.
It closes 5p.m. but you can take a picture only the architecture without a person. Its more simple and wonderful than with people. You can enter for free.입장료없음/ 동절기 17시 폐쇄
Under construction but very impressive. Hope the construction is over soon.
Jeondong catholic church is beautiful with gorgeous flowers.
Traditional place
Crowded but good place to take some good snaps
The mood was good but sad thing is they off limits at night.
Very nice from the outside. They didn’t charge for only being outside. I don’t think they were letting people inside today.
A famous Romanesque Catholic church near Korean traditional houses district in Junjoo 전주(well, at least from appearances)
One of the best place to see in Jeonju Hanok Village.
I think it is just unique being in the Jeonju village korean traditional spot.
Beautiful little cathedral in the hanok village
Just a pity that you can only enter a church at certain times.
Nice church with lots of visitors !!
Korean Catholic historic place
i loved the village .its so simple beautifuly
Nice old church, clean and quiet place to pray (no photograph inside the church, outside is fine)
As a devout-wanna-be Catholic, I enjoy visiting new churches.I got a chance to look around Han-ok village and the first place Id look was this church.I attended the Mass too. There were about 50 believers at this time; most of them were senior citizens. You know, during the weekdays, not so many young people can come. However they sang so beautiful that I asked myself "Man, theres a choir in here?"The Gospel was the Jesus parable about vineyard(MT 20:1-16and after Gospel reading, the reverend gave a nice homily. After the Mass I took some pictures around the parish. There were also a lot of people taking pictures, for this is one beautiful church. Thanks God for giving me a nice chance to visit this church.
An old Europen-style church
Beautiful interior of church, been here a couple of times but cant resist taking a picture every time. However, you can not take pictures inside the church.
Must go in Jeonju!
You can find korean traditional catholic church. This place is holy and beatiful.Be quiet and take pictures in silence.
Beautiful catholic church. But other than the exterior, there was nothing much to do there. Would advise to go the hanok village nearby. Spent around 10 - 15 minutes to take photo of the exterior and the interior only.
Yup, its a Catholic church. What makes it interesting is the juxtaposition of it and the traditional houses of the Hanok Village and palace. The church also has an interesting history. Worth a visit.
Watched the Light Show, 15th June (Sundayit was so good! Never seen this before, then walked around the market an food market which is around the church
Seems that it has some history & story but nothing special to non-christian like me.
Old Catholic church in Jeon Ju, Korea

Nice place to take photos n visit
Important in the Catholic history of Korea

Good place
Nice place to visit ...different architecture style than rest of the village
Best recommendation to visit.130 aged Catholic church. Religious and artistic place.
crowded place in weekend
Nice architecture to see.
Peaceful church. Too bad it wasnt open when we were there.
Wonderful place. Better if you wear a European attire to blend with the surroundings. Euro feels
Outside of the church very crowded which everyone busy taking pictures. However u can go into the church (side doorsiting inside for few minutes to find some peace lol. This place still worth to come and it’s link to different tourist spots.
An old catolic church in jeonju. It is a good place to take a picture
Old Catholic Church which is more than a century. The outlook might be humble but inside of it has a classic, magnificent beauty of catholic architecture. It’s a landmark figure in Jeonju han-ok village. It would be much better if there is a tour guide who can explain more about it. I heard it has a long history related with religion. Looking back at the religious history of Korea it was never easy to settle down in Korea.A pamphlet written in English might be a great help to know about this place.
Historical church. Peaceful to be in Gods house when you are away from home.
Very nice building, and it would be much better if they allow people to sit in and to enyoy the religious environment.
Nice place! Located in the entrance/exit gate of Jeonju Hanok Village and across the tourist information center.
Its nice place
Beatiful historical place. + elderly priest is very kind
Its a historical and well built church of its century.
Yes there is a church (you shamefully are not allowed to enter), but its much more an amusement park for Koreans with traditional dresses and selfie sticks. Sad to see a church lose its meaning completely.
Too many persons here. Its not so pecial but famous for its location.
Outside of historical and religious significance, it didnt sing to me personally
This church is just next to the Jeonju Hanok village. Easy to access. No photosallowed of the inside but heaps of people just ignore this.
