Jalan 14/17, Seksyen 14, 46100 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, Batang Berjuntai
Modern multi-story mall with a supermarket, cinema & familiar mix of retail shops & eateries.
Lots of restaurant. Great place for a lunch meeting.
What happened to this mall? Used to be the heart of PJ but now hardly has shops worth visiting. Unless you like cheap knock off premium shoes ie Asias, Puma
Good and clean. Not a crowded place.
Jaya Shopping Centre was redeveloped supermarket into an approximately 260,000 square feet lifestyle mall in 2014. It is located at Section 14, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.Jaya Shopping Centre is a seven-storey suburban retail mall comprising more than 120 retailers and diners, an eight-screen cineplex and a supermarket. The mall also provides four basement floors of parking, which can accommodate more than 780 vehicles. They have TGV Cinema, Samsung, I Store, MR DIY, Jaya Grocery, Chills, Sushi Zanmai, Texas Chicken, and weekly discounted event happening here.
This newly built mall has replaced a historic icon. The anchor tenant is Cold Storage . There are many food outlets of different varieties. 6/7/22. This plandemic has changed many tenants in this building. Most noticeable is that Cold Storage has been replaced by another supermarket. And today 16/11, i confirm that Jaya Grocer has taken over this beautiful space. Further there are many food outlets here.
Ok place. Can visit often. Less crowd...
The place is the best place to shopping anything here coz it big and cozyyy!
The new Iconic Jaya Shopping Centre rebuilt on its original site has not lost its former glory although competition from new complexes had sprung up across the street. Its architecture is unique with a huge rectangular void that allows sun ray to filter through its glass roof. It is quite spectacular to see sun ray through its open roof from within. The ambience is friendly and relaxing complemented by its good and cooling ventilation system. You can look down the open foyer below sitting at the verandah of each floor to watch the exhibitions, promotions and other going-ons etc on the ground floor. Big names, Starbucks, CIMB, Jaya Grocer, Daiso, Anytime Fitness, Chillis and Japanese restaurant chains have their presence here. The old charm hasnt change much especially for those of us who grew up in the old Jaya Supermarket era. In the vicinity, one can go for meals at the food court or the IT mall for everything you need for your internet and computer steps away.Daiso and Fitness First fell victim to poor business due the MCO had closed while ACE Hardware and DIY are the new anchor tenants.
my movie place with kids.less crowded and seat very comfortable.just food verity less
Old mall, quiet but nice to shop.
This mall seems to get quieter on the upper floors with relatively little foot traffic. The LG level where the food is seems humming along. Here for the Texas Fried Chicken. Yum!
Its a decent place to shop and hang out. We were there to go to Chilis for dinner with the family and parents to celebrate a birthday
No more like the good old days of JAYA supermarket in PJ. Very sad to see that they have nothing much to offer. Hope they can improve.
Good place for food choice. Get good tim sum at oriental n the hokkien mee was great
Ok..have few restaurant and jaya grocer. Not too crowd place
Not really many things iside but have DIY and cinema here. If you want to shopping clothes, it is not match.
This was one of the oldest shopping complex and was renovated with more wider shops, a tgv movie theater at the 4th Floor and various fast food and eaties at the basement.
This is an old shopping mall which has seen better days. Many vacant lots observed at higher floors. Overall experience is so-so, nothing much to look forward to. However, many familiar franchises are available here, making it a convenience venue for having family luncheons and dinners as parking would not be much of a hassle, like other new malls in Klang Valley. Those who like less crowded mall, should definitely try this mall out.
huge space for parking and side seeing. park and food. small activities. good place for hangout. convinient of course
Nice shopping center. Massaging is also available here in all floors
Car park is a challenge. Quite dead and inconvenient as have to show Covid-19 status to enter complex. However no checks when entering from car park. Not sure if the check is purposeful
Wonderland for tech; laptops, PC, acessories, mobile phones, mobile services, etc. Much better alternative to lowyat. You will need to know how to bargain and compare stores to get the best deal.Purchased an Acer Nitro 5 from Advanced Future Technology. Robiul was of great help.
Lot of shops closed after pandemic. Prime places are Tgv cinemas, jaya grocer, OC, Chicken rice shop.
To be honest, i most of the time go to Jaya Shopping Centre to park my car mainlyThen go shopping around the area (Digital Mall haha)
Good but most of the shops are closed or permanently shut. Maybe its due to less people visiting this mall after covid.
parking is spacious. lots of shops. parking fee also reasonable. will go again.
Pretty good shopping mall, need more outlets and affordable shops.
Jaya One is not a normal mall, but I really like the community feel. This seems to be a small mall and town center complex. (There are other small malls and shops around the nearby area for more normal shopping. There are several restaurants in and around the main mall, with several centrally located in a covered outdoor square, with more on the way. But, sadly after MCO all vibe gone.
Used to hang out here with friends during my teenage years. Now after they rebuild back though it is not the same vibe as before still make it easier for me to have fun in here. Not so many crowd so it is fun to shop with ease. U wanna watch movie and scared of full booked? Fret not. U can just walk in here without any worries.
Come here often enough to know this is one of my last choice places to visit. There are very few shops and they are expensive - not the neighbourhood shops that were characteristic of the original Jaya.Escalators far apart, hidden away lifts and isolated, broken toilets, poor info about mall shops and ‘don’t know, don’t know’ attitude of information counter staff add up to a frustrating place better to avoid.
Visited June 2022Sad to see that the mall is relatively empty to the extent that some major tenants have left. Eateries are still doing good though.Aisles are wide enough to be relaxing to walk. Sunroof provide good natural sunlight
Chilis Restaurant as we all know it quite well here in Malaysia , it offers western dishes from various meat patties made into burgers, pastas, a variety of Mexican fajitas, salads, soups , desserts and cocktails.Being Mothers day today, I decided to treat her, a sibling and myself to a western course meal.Mind you, the food portions for our little Asian tummies can be considered big so if you cannot finish your food, please dont waste or throw them but please pack and take it home..We had a fajitas combo mixed with beef and chicken ,cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, lettuce and dressing into the filing, 2 burger set meals served with french fries , scampi pasta and 3 lemon water drinks all for the price of RM150.60.So i believe this meal was considered big but indeed sufficient for 3 persons.Value for money. The environment of the restaurant is nice with comfortable red setties ,long wooden tables to be seated by 4 persons, excellent manpower and staff are always at your service.
Very few retailers here, all zap lap... Most are F&B outlets. Am here just for parking to go Digital Mall, otherwise wont be even drive in if not for difficulty to find parking nearby this area.Pls add more retailers to stay relevant.
a bit quiet when we visited but it was great when we disc0vered a l0t 0f 0utlets f0r sh0es... 🤩
Quiet & relax place. You can easily find Guardian pharmacy, Jaya Grocer, cafe & restaurant. And big Mr DIY with lots of in stock adhesive wallpaper ☺️ The only lack about this place is, maybe the should have well known bookstore instead of the small one.
This Jaya Shopping Mall features seven stories of shopping and restaurants. The mall is located in Section 14, Petaling Jaya, near the famous Digital Mall, and is constructed with a sleek and modern atmosphere.Car Basement, Wheelchairs & Baby Strollers, Touch N Go Service Kiosk, First Aid Kit, Baby Changing Room, Surau for Muslims, Lockers For Rent, and many other services and facilities are provided at this mall.TGV Cinemas with eight screens and a supermarket are also available in Jaya Shopping Mall. Fashion, sportswear, childrens toys and presents, beauty and wellness spas, technology and gadgets are just some of the shopping alternatives available. Mr. DIY, which is located on the 4th floor, is a great place to go for household shopping. This outlet is huge and has a wide variety of products that you wont find at other outlet locations.CIMB Bank, Jaya Grocer, Daiso, Anytime Fitness, Chilis, Serai, and Japanese and Korean major restaurants are among the other retailers in this mall. The Lower Ground level is home to a number of well-known local food and beverage outlets, as well as the Jaya Grocer Supermarket. This mall is one of my favourites because it includes plenty of parking, grocery, cinema, food and beverage, clothing, household items, and electronics. The mall is also not as congested as other malls because most of the customers come from the surrounding area. This mall, I believe, is ideal for individuals who prefer to avoid crowds. As more well-known businesses build their stores here, this Mall will undoubtedly grow in popularity.
Quiet is the word for this shopping centre which was one of the very first in Selangor in the 1970s. I used to hang out there after primary and secondary school. It 4 levels of basement car park. The lower ground floor has few fast food outlets, some health and beauty outlets, a supermarket etc. There is a TGV Cinema on the level 6. Level 7 has a small but vacant food court and the management office. The old established University Bookstore is on level 3. There is a DIY and Ace Hardware shop. Many vacant shop lots. Even the popular Farmers market restaurant has closed down.
A neighbourhood mall. It’s not very happening here but there is movie hall, jaya grocer and guardian in this mall.Next to this mall is digital mall.
The place has been in Sek 14 for the last 20 years...it has lost the glory over the years..but still very relevan to the people around tat area...parking is easy ..got 3 level of parking but a bit dark...here also got a lot of makan n minum place such Starbucks..Texas Chicken..Sushi Zanmai...Kenny Rogers ...Ah Cheng Laksa...Chilis...Serai n etc..got Body Shop n Guardian also..n the best is Tgv cinema ...easy.. no need to queue at all..and tgv is huge...its a makan place now here...n got Cimb Atm here too...😀😀😀😜😜😜
I love this place. Got one of my fav dentist, artius dental ( Loo & Foo Dental Surgerylevel 3
Jaya Shopping Center, one of the oldest shopping centre from the 70s with Cold Storage being the anchor tenant and unfortunately Cold Storage is closing down and had the clearance sales last week. A few fast food outlets, restaurants, etc make up the centre. Some vendors carry out clearance sales at the ground floor lobby area but the place somehow rather seems to be losing crowd impact.
They rebuild this shopping mall few years ago.Fresh interior and concept.Starbucks, Serai, Cimb, cold storage, spa/saloon and DiY are available. Also a cinema on the heigher floor. But sadly these days, there are not many tanents here: maybe due to slow traffic (peoplemany store or shop seems to be closing down.Maybe the management need to do some improvement in building up the traffic.
Came here for the fitness at 630am. Everything else was closed. The 4 lifts are quick which I like.
Something is going very wrong with this vintage but refurbished mall. I like to visit malls far from where I stay during festivals or holidays. if the malls are in KL centre or in the surrounding areas like PJ or Cheras, I take public transport.I have been visiting Jaya SC at least 4 times a year since 2016. I have my utmost shock in my recent visit in August 2019. I actually counted the number of empty shoplots, some only recently closed, and the total is about 50!In a small neighborhood mall like Jaya SC, that number is more that half of the tenants. From 2016 till now the number of empty shoplots have never been SO BAD!The worst were shoplots with the name of the shop there but with COURT ORDER SUMMONS so not even the management of Jaya SC could enter the premises! Some reviewers called Jaya SC, a dying mall, but sorry it is dead! I saw a few more shops putting up CLOSING DOWN sale but NOBODY walks in. I believe more non-eateries shops may closed down. Lets see what happens when Deepavali comes in November! The eateries are only surviving due to the lunch crowd (I was there at 1pm on a Fridayand maybe dinner. The TGV still attracts people though not crowds.
Came here on weekdays just want to go for their Tgv cinema, for Shazam! film at level five. Lots of restaurants you can choose. Happening. The prayer site at six floor, female telekung bit smelly. Better bring your own. This place not too crowded at that time, so parking okay lah... not sure about weekend sessions.
Basic needs for Malls are there, TGV Cinema, Toys R Us, Cold Storage Supermarket, CiMB ATM and couple of restaurants, and may favouriteplace to go is Mr. DIY. Some spots are quite empty.
Had slip and fell hard on the floor. Negligence from the store "chill chill" for not monitoring the patch of water moving across the common walk way. The staff had to be told to do something about it. I told them to tell the jaya shopping centre building management about it, however the management couldnt be found and one of the employees said "masa sudah cukup, semua sudah balik". I understand they are just foreigners trying to end their shift, but as jaya shopping centre is nostalgic to most pj-ians, you can still see old uncles and aunties walking around and it was time for people to leave and in you can see people carrying shopping bag, groceries, babies etc; it is just hazardous. Store owners /operators should be vigilant in their operations and if there is a problem, like "paip bocor", they should still be responsible, and building management should be more responsive in making the mall safe for its shoppers.
Not many shops open ... Good place to park and walk over to digital mall 😁
I like this mall because of its no crowds inside the building. However, in order to reach here by car, it is quite congested and slow. Not so big mall as compared to others. It has a basement parking consists of 3 levels. Cold storage located in basement. CIMB bank operated in here. Lot of premises open in here; Guardian, Starbucks, Serai, Texas Chicken, DIY and many more.
I love this place, its medium sized mall with parking and almost everything available here from Grocery, clothing, footwear, bowling, cinemas, food, a fencing institute and electronics. It is called heart of PJ. Still wondering why cant it attract as much crowd as it should. Prices can be one factor, the things are slightly priced towards medium high range but I guess that is fair because we get to find better quality stuff here than the cheaper shopping. It has a newly opened MR. DIY STORE and DAISO to help you buy large range of things within budget. Lot of good quality clothing optionals for women, some stores to name are Tulip and Bhaju couture. Texas chicken for chicken lovers. Money exchange also available at lower ground. The mall has own parking. Must visit place. Also TGV cinemas, you can enjoy a movie at RM10 with May bank cards. The Mall also has a CIMB bank branch and ATMs one pair at ground floor and other at second floor.
