Java House - Mama Ngina St - Restaurant in Thika, Kenya
The services are excellent and environment very clean and classy with well placed art.
I love all Javas but the food is amazing however I rated this one lower because I found it to be stuffy.
The central location of this branch makes it ideal for meet ups.
Nice place for a business meeting.
Got a very wonderful experience especially the meal
They have the best menu and well made dishes
Love java anywhere...the food is always quality
Understaffed, wait staff is visibly struggling, smallest portions of all the branches, the food is stale, from the strawberries in the lemonade to the chicken....
Service take forever, staff keep forgetting requests made, it was not a good experience, comparing it to the other Java house restaurants Ive been to, this one is really lacking.
Slightly slow service so many staff but most of the time behind the counter they need to out for faster service its a coffee shop
My go to place, whenever I want to have coffee
Room smell very bad needs deep cleaning.
Great and serene environment plus some cool music vibes in the air....
Delicious place to have lunch. Very friendly service and a great selection of fresh food.
Java House is known for its coffee but also serves other meals. This place is good you can do your work here as its silent little disturbance and convinient for all. Amaizing food served here also with several dishes to choose from whether youre a vegan or a meat lover like me.
Really nice service
Good services, disclaimer they recently reviewed their menu prices up.
The decor and furniture are fabulous and it is absolutely the best place to get a cup of coffee. The reason I gave them three stars is because during the night time most of their dishes are done and furthermore they do not have honest employees. I say this because they tried to bill us for complementary sodas that they did not give us(they were on offer). Upon enquiry they said the sodas were not in stock but when we stood our ground it was presented to us. That was just my experience, have a lovely time.
Java breakfast is the best. Mama Angina branch is one of the best Java outlets in customer service.
Love that swahili coconut fish with garden salad
A small squeezed space. The early morning ambiance was impersonal. It gives one the impression that you need to finish your business and leave to make way for others equally in a hurry. Meals are reasonably prepared but lacked the Java seasoned charming smile accompanied with "Enjoy your meal" spoken with confidence. The early morning staff may need a confidence booster.
Loved this place. Great service, amazing staff and their dawa burned my throat as usual 😂
Java house has good meals,at affordable prices.Sometimes the waiters can be overwhelmed if the place is busy.Sadly, the caramel cake is too sweet! I was unable to finish the slice and I still got tonsillitis. Java house if you’re seeing this, please be easy on the sugar. You’re salty caramel cake is overly sweet and cannot be enjoyed.
Love their crispy chicken garden salad
A lovely café on a historic street (not for who its named afterand filled with a team of kind, welcoming wait staff and an ambience for work, earphone-assisted meditation or caffeinated romance.
This is the only coffee house in kenya which serves good coffee, food there was not so great but coffee was good and the ambience of all their branches are quite nice.
A typical Java, with a twist: an air conditioned basement with an intimate vibe. Perfect for both business and pleasure: meetings and dates. Hopefully not at the same time.Friendly staff. The waitress (whose name I never gotloaned me a pen since Id neglected to carry mine. All in all, great place. For the sake of completeness, it gets noisy at peak times.
The service was a bit slow... but totally expected with the current offeres.
Really yummy meals,nice place to
I went here for some breakfast and the service was quick and professional! The food was amazing, generous in terms of the portion and delicious, and the dawa drink is everything! The prices were very fair! I highly recommend!
I actually changed my review from 4 stars to 2 stars. The service at this specific location has gone down tremendously. And the quality of food has as well. If your not in a rush its a cool place to eat.
Incredible food great ambience. Would definitely recommend 👌🏾
This is one of the best and definitely among few restaurants with the best services. It is located in a very pristine and pivotal point of thr City. They serve the best delicacies and almost all types possible. The restaurant is very spacious and has wonderful arrangements. The staff are also very friendly.
Food- 9/10Service- 8/10Ambience-8/10Please amp the air conditioning it gets too hot at times. The fish curry is thoroughly excellent.
Great ambience, great service, really amazing food 👌
This is the best Java location I have been to. I have always received outstanding here. The staff serve you with courtesy and an amiable demeanor. When I am in Nairobi whenever I can, I like stopping by this Java location. When my pocket allows it, Java aint exactly affordable. And its always kept clean and has a nice view of Mama Ngina Street. Across the street you also have Cold Stone and Pekeshe Coffee Masters
Quite nice place! The usual java standards which are great!Perhaps guy you can be more careful with people who come there and make too much noise, like they discuss and they scream...But so far is ok!Thank you!
Java burgers are just delicious one is never enough 😋😋
Loved the salted caramel milkshake,I highly recommend,The burger too was well done but no salad
Very peaceful and the staff is amazing. Foods great too and reasonably priced! I couldnt seem to find any sockets though.
Java always delivers no matter which branch you go thats for sure. Since am inlove with their salted caramel milkshake this time I want to try something different so I ordered a shot of espresso and requested them to mix it with my salted caramel milkshake and guys you should totally try this. It was absolutely revolutionary 🙂!This and the great service really made my day considering I started it on a low note. Thanks Java!
Nice food. Good music and ideal for a date.
Been there a couple of times and the service has always been great. The coffee is good and the meals are awesome too. They offer varieties of Coffee and Teas making it possible to satisfy most of their clienteles needs. There is a shortcoming of the front section getting crowded at times BUT there is an additional sitting space downstairs, which help to ease the congestion.
Salted Caramel Shake! Any day! Just Incase you’re confused about which one to have...and you have a sweet tooth, this is it!
I was so happy this little coffee shop came up when I googled places to eat. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with sundried tomato and pesto. It was yummy. The service was great. I with met with Maureen’s smiling face the first day and the second day I went in again she greeted me with such excitement and welcomed me back. I definitely recommend stopping in for a bite to eat.
Service was courteous and prompt. The food was delicious although the prices are a bit steep. I appreciate that they are always adding new items to their menu. Service staff need crisp t-shirts and although the restroom was visibly clean, theres need for air freshener.
I support what previous people have written here ... VERY busy place. But the coffee is amazing.
Great food, pleasent environment, nice people. There is a big choice for lunch, both of traditional and tipical Kenyan food.
It had been years since I visited this location, like over 10 years. There were some nice changes, but the cofee remains the same - great. Stopped in for Saturday breakfast. The food reminded me of yummy brunch back home in Houston. And the service was great!I had an omelette with potatoes and toast with a side of guacamole for the toast. Everything was delicious!I started out sitting downstairs which offers a nice quite place away from the coming and going of the street. Later I moved upstairs because I need to make use of a power outlet. Upstairs is great for those who enjoy people watching or the bustle of the street.
This centrally located coffee shop serves food and other Kenyan beverages. In additon to ground floor, there is a bit cozier basement. Coffee is one of the better ones in town, appropriately priced.
