Shell Service Station Jinja-Kampala highway, Jinja, Uganda, Iganga
Java House - Jinja - Restaurant in Iganga, Uganda
Ordered a mixed Berry smoothie just to find out that it was made without any fresh berries. Ordered a oat porridge to get a pre-cooked porridge made with water. Very bad experience on the food side! 😕Service replaced the porridge with one made with milk but the warmed up ready-to-eat flavour remained. Very disappointed.
The food and service is fair. The bathrooms are clean and kids aware a play area.
Traveling to the Eastern part of Uganda? Best place for a journey breaker..
Bathrooms are great and convenient stop over enroute kampala or upcountry. The service is good and meals on time
Great place for a stop over on the eastern highway, great foods, beverages and nice atmosphere
Not a big fan of coffee, but i really loved the Java house cookies
I really do wish them the best but some things need to be addressed and changed. They make good products. The coffee, espresso and tea is all well made and up to the standard of almost any other cafe. The problem they have is with timing. Once an order is placed and paid there was a considerable lag before the coffee was finally on the counter and ready to be picked up. We went to Java House in the late morning when there were a lot of other customers and also in the very early morning when there were very few customers. Regardless of time of day they took quite sometime to complete the order.Like I said I wish them the best and the next time I am in Jinja I will likely stop by for another cup of coffee. I liked everything about the place except the amount of time it took them to actually pour the coffee into the cup.
A very strategic and conveniently located cafe with ample parking and pleasant security staff. Has a play area and large compound which is perfect when dining with children. Quick and attentive service from the wait staff. Airy, clean and comfortable restaurant with decent meals, however, it all falls down at the washrooms which are very cramped, uncomfortable and bad on hygiene. Especially worrying when dining with children. Did a round trip and both times, the loos were not clean. Almost felt like a completely different establishment from the dining side.
Really nice for a stop over to grab some of the best coffees in Uganda. Its also in the middle for the people coming from Kampala and malabar entry for some hot lunch!Wonderful location and easy to fine.Java is a coffee hub in Uganda!
Open serene space, Great ambience, delicious food and snacks, cozy play area for the kids👌
Good customer service and the food was great. Thank you.
A good place to dine in with family or date nights
Service is little poor but the food is not so bad.
One of the busiest outlets within the Java House chain. Located along the Kyabazinga road, sharing a compound with Shell service station and minishop, it boasts of a large parking area with large glass windows allowing diners to have a clear view of the sorroundings. Very tasty food and very friendly staff. Very popular with travellers and middle class folks in Jinja
Its a nice place with good services and the staff is so beautiful
We had different dishes here. The Katogo was pretty good.Nice coffee ☕tastey Croissants and American pancakes.Would step in any day.
Stellar coffee!! The barister adjusted for my massive size of mug without needing to be prompted. Was in for only a few minutes, but will certainly be stopping by again.Prices were lower too than I was expecting. That was a +.
Always a must when we visit Jinja. When looking for a decent coffee or tea in Jinja this is one place we know we cant go wrong!
A decent stop place to stop in Jinja for coffee or a meal. The California is worth trying and if you wish to indulge then try the salted Carmel milkshake.
Friendly staff, good variety of meals and perfect location for both travelers, residents and tourists.Good stop point for refreshment, meetings and meet ups.
Though loved the experience and service I would wish to say that the prices are a bit high maybe because they are used to serving tourists.
This is a fixed stop every time we travel East! The food is delicious, the selection is great, and they do a really good job with every dish and drink-which is a great accomplishment given this place serves mostly European coffee drinks and pastries and American and Indian food. The place of also always clean with a very modern vibe, and the food is sourced locally and always fresh. For the Germans: One of the few places in Uganda which has Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte!!! 😍
One of those places suitable for a quick bite and freshen up en-route Kampala city or Mbale city... their speed is commendable. Check them out!
Had breakfast here and the services are really great. The customer service is good. They have a kids section for playing.
Cool ambiance but receiving your order after ordering it taketh ages, then wait for another century to receive your bill.
Theyre juices are great and one can easily break off before crossing the new suspended bridge on their way to Kampala
The service isn’t so bad but somethings they put on the menu they can’t make. I ordered the chicken quesadilla they got me chicken stew pieces shredded and put in a chapati with cheese on top, I was really disappointed.
We arrived as a group. The staff were overwhelmed. Looked confused and were serving the last people first to the annoyance of the others. Nice location though
vegetarian curry(including cilantroI hate cilantro(고수)
So harmonic and conducive for private holdings, perhaps its a perfect place for exclusive dialogue.I love the Customer service too, and indeed averagely affordable.
Stopped for breakfast with My family on the way to source of the Nile. Service was horrible the food, tea and coffee were cold. Worst Service ever.
Food is not bad, but I recommend eating after noon, especially when ordering regular food. However there is an issue with the service. Morning staff are not as efficient as afternoon staff. The same applies to the food.
The speed of service has greatly improved. But not when there are more than three orders pending.
It was just so nice..good coffee space with ample parking. Cool and worth a stop over. Such a diverse menu of coffee drinks & pastry...
Their food was great and all the team I was with enjoyed it in a conducive environment
Pretty good atmosphere. Very full of people, very busy. The service was pretty good, and they got us our food within about twenty minutes. Pretty expensive prices considering the food was decent, and the portion sizes were medium sized but filling. In all a wholesome experience. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a place with a lot of atmosphere and space for studying or meeting friends.
I love their tea/coffee. Anytime Im around,I definitely want some. Its a cool place with a good view of beautiful Jinja City, good location along the Highway to the far East of Uganda. I had few or may I was usual options to accompany my tea so I took without accompaniment. Would prefer cashews,g.nuts, local maize roasted or steamed.I always love to have a bit of local mixed with modernisation.
Customer service is poor. Food quantity can be improved
Good dine in place along the highway. Service is efficient and meals are internationally tasty. Free WiFi and clean washrooms
They made me the best dawa tea ever. My flu even cured instantly.
The place has nice delicacies, tasty dishes, and amazing sweet hour meals. The drinks are so juicy and incredibly sweet.
I have had a really good experience at Java House Jinja today. I normally just have to settle for chips due to my diet but today the Chef went out of his way to create a vegan version of the burger deal. He took the time to talk to me and also checked the dish with me at my table. It was very great service and I appreciate the Chef going out of his way to be creative due to my diet. Thank you Chef Aziz Obongonyinge for your great service today! You have made a customer very happy today, thank you.
Good place to stop for a bite and hot drink as you go through Jinja. Spacious with ample parking, a back yard garden and a kids play area.Need to improve the toilets.
I really enjoyed the place. Amazing customer service and outstanding coffee and food. Cheese burger was also creamy
Wonderful place to relax for a break from a very long journey for example from Kampala to Soroti
The place is tranquil. It has excellent customer service with a brilliant menu to serve with. The food is tasty. The coffee is up to per with all recommended guidelines. The hygiene of the place is recommendable. There is a constant communication outlet because of the availability of a fast speed WI-FI connection. The service is prompt and accurate. It is a place worth a visit while in Jinja
Java house has several outlets. This one is adjacent to a filling station. It is very spacious with ample sitting space both inside and outside. Clean washrooms, good ambience, energetic black & red ambience and staff uniforms. And of course...excellent coffee!
Its always amazing when I go there.Their food...oooo... Spectacular.Come join us in our journey experience to the east.Youll love it.
It is pricy and quantity less but taste is ok, i dont know which one is more important. Nice place to go , while u are eating , your children might enjoy kids park. Good job Java house.
Very nice service quick and efficient. Situated in a relaxing and peaceful location. Very convenient for travellers
