Jardins dels Alemanys - Garden in Girona, Spain
I was able to watch the sunset from the tower. Simply beautiful🌞. Do go there when you have the chance to visit girona, barcelona.
The garden is simple and serene, tucked beside the walls. There are benches there which are good for a brief rest while walking along the walls.
Las Muralles de Girona is a huge, beautiful place - definitely one of the highlights of the city. The inner gardens are very pleasant, specially to rest a bit during a hot summer day. I really recommend taking the whole waking route to get the best impression of the place.
Quite the jardín.
Hermoso jardín.
Wonderful, historic gardens that highlight the beauty of Girona.
Beautiful little treasure in Gérone. We found it by chance, going through a street in the back of the beautiful cathedral. You have to go up the tower in the middle of the park, the view is breathtaking.
Very remarkable view of Girona
A small, quiet garden thats adjacent to the massive old walls of Girona (the walls being a must-visit). The gardens lower area has some benches and sections with maintained plants but as you go up its less maintained with the ruins of an old "castle" of which there just seems to be fallen cement brick walls laying around. However, theres a bit of a view up there.
Precioso!!!!
Beautiful park with lots of shade to relax in! No entry fee, which is always a pleasant surprise. Plus, there’s a tower to climb, and from there, you can enjoy some city views.
A very fine place where you can experience nature and the old walls, free of charge and at your own pace
Un molt bon lloc de Girona on anar a voltar
Walking the old Roman walls of Girona was a spectacular way to spend the morning. I was told it is the longest stretch of Roman walls still in tact in Europe. Regardless, it was very cool to see. On my way to the walls, I stumbled into this garden. There was a man playing violin and I was the only person there. It was a surreal experience.
A garden inside the old walls with trees, flowers... Neither very big nor many things to see. It is on top of mountain and there are some seats. So, it is a good place to rest while breathing flesh air. There are some entrances to the top of old walls from here.
Must go. Scenic Roman ruins and amazing plants and gardens. Suggest grabbing a few snacks and having a small picnic there. Great views of town and great sunlight and benches. Very picturesque.
Lovely garden. Must see when in Girona.
Beautiful place with a lot of hidden spots!
One of my friends pocket was picked here at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. Someone from on top of one of the walls squirted green slime on us. We thought it was from birds. Out of the blue a couple passing as tourists showed up and began to help clean us off. They said they were from Mexico but when I asked where in Mexico they were from I did not get an answer. They took one from inside my friends purse that was in a plastic bag. They did not take credit cards or ID. So beware, gypsies are afoot here and will take advantage of you.
We were victims in Girona on our 3rd? day of a very long trip. I was very careful. Didnt take a back pack for that reason- we knew to be careful.3 seconds in the German garden balcony. 2 young ladies were walking fast following us up the wall so we pulled over to let them pass. I lifted my camera to take a picture of the view and in that time Hubby noticed my cross over multi zipper purse (in front of meopen and someone between us. She had my tiny travel wallet out of the right zipper section (I didnt take it out the entire trip so nobody saw where it was), unhooked from the purse, and unzipped with the money exposed. He grabbed her.We yelled at them and tried to get attention for anyone to come help but everyone ignored us and no police were to be seen. Then the thug came. We didnt back down, but what do you do with them when you caught them? We spent the rest of the tour looking for police- walking. The station was locked. That figures. Our guide did nothing- or even let us tell the busload (this was our first stopof other tourists. We went to 2 Barcelona stations when we returned from tour. (care on las rambles like you said). They didnt even let us into the station or write anything down. Nothing. I had photos of the girls.I should have dumped out the other ladies big open shoulder bag to see what else they took, as I rummaged for any more of my stuff. I thought of that after. Why did she open the wallet and not just take it?Hubby had noticed them in the garden and was keeping an eye on them.I think the entire city is in on it. Why have police?
Really nice park along the wall with a large seating area and ruins. If you come early the park is empty and really magnificent. There is also a staircase going up to the wall in the park.
