Educational garden featuring lush grounds & collections of native & international plant species.
Beautiful and peaceful place. Free to enter. Great to chill and have a picnic.
As a park, this is a worthwhile destination for walking around in quiet peaceful nature. But as a botanical garden, it was somewhat of a disappointment. Limited varieties of plants, and not much curation or organization or information. The museum contains some decent works of art.
Very nice place to walk around for an hour or two. Or sit or lying around on the large lawns.
Beautiful, must see for anyone in Montevideo
Really nice botanical garden, actually one of the better ones in the world. Really enjoyed how they divided the Parc into geographic territories! Very well maintained.
Amazing place to enjoy a walk and a contemplative afternoon
A nice place to stroll and reminisce amongst the trees
Beautiful relaxing place, good for walking, picnicking or just appreciating the nature. It’s free.
Visited this place during fall and OMG it was so so beautiful. Perfect place to chill with your friends. Or even a photoshoot. Loved how the fall colours came together so beautifully.. will definitely visit again during spring. No entry fees. Its free. Do not dirty or litter the place. Keep it clean if you plan to have a picnic. Do not leave behind any waste.Perfect spot for photoshoots and family outings.
Very nice place to spend time with family, kids, friends. Good place for picnic, get together.Plenty of greeneries and good place to relax.
Beautiful green space in the city
Awesome place. Went with friends to enjoy the fall. Natural beauty is breathtaking. This garden has so many options to snap good pictures. Enjoyed a lot.
Beautiful place to spend some time, specially in coronavirus time.
A place that brings you 100% positive energy
Beautiful and relaxing place 💕
Near from Rosedal theres a peaceful green place, the botanic garden, includes diversity of plants, trees, natives and foreigners.Wonderfull place for a rest from the rush of the city
Beautiful walk between different kind of trees.
Really calm and nice park, you can also visit the Prado park and the Miguelete Creek
Nice Park and beautiful place to walk along.
Absolutely amazing place to visit, breath fresh air and reconnect with nature! Include bathroom and private security. Definitely must go!
Very nice place to spend some time between trees and nature!
Really beautiful place to have a picnic with friends or family
Awesome place. There is a free guided visit that is spectacular.
One of the most beautiful parks of Montevideo. Clean, variety of trees and plants. Suitable for rest, breath, and keep calm. Take in account that is not 24x7
Nice place to go with anyone. Its full of flora, well kept and you will see staff around taking care of it.
Nice peaceful relaxing place
Botanical garden with wide variety of plants/ shrubs/ trees. Plants have a name tag Along with the description how its beneficial. Also the medicinal plants have a place for themselves. Very beautiful architecture. it has a place where one can view a fountain along with the room for caretakers. The tracks for jogging is also there. One house even gives a spooky vibes(pic attached), which makes this place more exciting. Very beautiful collections of fountains and very well organized.
Some very interesting plants but very little information. Enjoyed the fountains and greenery and flowers. We got lost trying to find our way out and walked in circles and left by the wrong exit. Needs signs and help with directions on the paths.
Just beautiful!! Perfect to spend a whole day near nature
Beatiful botanical garden, relaxed and you can even have a picnic there (as long as theres no alcohol and you take all your rubbish with you).
Large variety of Botanical diversety ....well kept grounds ...safe place to visit...no charge entrance fee
More a park than a Botanical garden. I suspect funds are insufficient to keep up the maintenance.
Incredible and gorgeous place. Well made, well maintained, and also educational. Bathrooms could use some work, be prepared for that.
Nice garden and saw many birds especially parrots. Very few flowers but mostly trees and shrubs. Wild macadamia nuts growing.
Not the best garden Ive seen, but its nice and, most importantly, free!
Amazing place to rest and enjoy the view. The sun was warm and everything was great. Just loved it.
A good place to go for a walk, a big variety of exotic trees. Free entrance. Especially recommend to visit Jardín Japones. Looks a bit shabby, but is nice for a stroll in the summer.
Took an evening walk here with a few friends. Its so relaxing .
A gem of a place!
Great place! Only thing is that timing change from the 1st of March to 18:30 and we didnt know!
Amazing place to relax and breathe some clean air
A green lung in Montevideo, the perfect place to relax and maybe try to take a nap.
Nice. Park-like. No services for visitors other than bathroom.
Great place for a nap under the trees.
A beautiful garden with some unique and interesting plants. Many very large trees and a neat history.
Very nice place but the plants and trees has to be more care. Is a beautiful place for visit, walking, rest or for picnics too. Gardens are very nice, but you have to bring your own food and drink, only are there some snacks like churros and sweet peanuts, drinking water are there in different points of garden, very advisable place to visit in the first big barrio in Montevideo, El Prado.
Montevideo Botanical Garden is not far away from the city centre. There are many visitors at the weekends. Some of them have families picnics. There are a lot of people doing sports activities.
Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful place.Very clean as well.
Beautiful place, super natural and very clean. Perfect for children. Very good for birdwatching and relaxing.
One of my favourite spots in Montevideo, perfect to chill on sunny days. The museum inside looks a bit abandoned though, such a shame since the building is beautiful from outside.
