Quai du Général-Guisan 34, 1204 Genève, Switzerland, Geneve
The English-inspired landmark park features an 1862 fountain, a flower-clock sculpture & lake views.
Tough to rate this. Its a clock made of flowers.Unfortunately when we were there it was all dug up and being redone, so not much to look at really. The adjoining park is very nice though. Well maintained and clean. Lake Geneva is also quite nice. Very clean.
A beautiful and clean green space to enjoy. The weather was lovely in October and I enjoyed the walk along the lake and seeing swans on the lake. The Jet deau, ferris wheel and fountains are awesome sights. There are pretty souvenirs in the souvenir shops. #switzerland2022
Nice place for a walk. The flower clock is definitely the main attraction in the garden. The view to the lake is great. It is a must-see free attraction and it is easy to get there. However, the botanical garden was significantly more impressive therefore Jardin Anglais gets 4 out of 5 stars :)
Quite a good place to relax
Very big flowers clock showing exact time.. amazing work..love to visit such places
View from the ferris wheel. Lots of fun. Most high end shops are right around here and the park it great!
What a wonderful garden where you can sit the whole day enjoying the pure nature and the amazing sight of green areas
Contagious " when you walk here the feel, the ambiances, the rides ....Chilling beauty!
Went for a walk in the garden, it was very pleasant also took a ride on the ferris wheel and got a good view of Geneva.
Nice park to relax in near Lake Geneva
Such an amazing park! Id no idea it was so big and with so many different walk ways and paths. There are some beautiful stands of trees - especially the redwoods - where a group of the same type of tree have been thoughtfully planted together. Theres an open dog park area.As you walk around you suddenly spy amazing views of the lake, clear across to the north shore. The only thing the park is missing is a café or tea room 😀
Small garden containing the famous flower clock, the ferris wheel, and some statues. I preferred the park a bit further down though.
It is always nice to have a park to stoll through rather than a sidewalk along a busy street. It may take a few more moments, but it is well worth the trouble. This park is beautiful and diverse. It tends to host lots of events, like the recent food festival, and has easy access to public restrooms. The park is really a center point between the halves of Geneva, so take a bit of time to enjoy it.
Nice walk along the promenade. Lovely ice cream shops and the fountain. A must go to place anyone visiting Geneva.
Nice little park to visit if your ever in Geneva. Defo must thing to do visit if your in Geneva.
Giant garden. Its a very beautiful and big garden I ever seen.. Must recommended
Beautiful place where it is extremely crowded in summer, or a sunny day. It s next to the canal where u have all the activities, like rowing or paddling, there is a place that has some a little amusement park and also lots of bars where u can have the perfect view of jet d eau.
Perhaps the most popular park in Geneva with the Flower Clock and the Water Fountain (Jet dEaulocated within, the Jardin Anglais is a must visit for its beautiful view of the lake and the shoreline walk that is filled with different activities. You can board the lake cruises or boats from here, hop on the ferris wheel or the petit train for a relaxing ride, or just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. We visited this park in summer and thoroughly enjoyed the wind, people and view. If youre visiting Geneva, a trip to this park is a must. Be sure to take the lake boats that take you to the opposite side (Free using Swiss Travel Passfor the fullest experience.
Wonderful place to chill out
Nice park. Perfect to take a break from the busy citystreets. View on the lake is amazing. Public toilets are available too.
On the left side of the city one of its most iconic parkExcellent place to escape the heat of the summer, watch a show or just chill and enjoy the greeneryLovely rose gardenPossibility to have a bite in bar of the theatre "Lorangeraie"
Beautiful gardens right next to Lake Geneva. At the edge of the garden is the famous Geneva Flower Clock which can also be seen from the road. The garden is well maintained and has plenty of benches to sit and relax. There is a drinking water fountain as well. Entrance to the garden and to the Flower Clock is free. Worth visiting and spending time here.
One of the most beautiful free place of Geneva if it is not the best one ! A perfect place to spend free time or just chill around.
This flower clock is renowned as a main attraction in Geneva. Even before I knew anything about the city I knew of this clock.Keep your expectations reasonable and to a minimum. It is nice and very well maintained but not really something that is that noteworthy in person. Better to see it as a part of walking/train tours.
Great park with the biggest flower Glock in the worldThe secret is that every plant is planted according to the season so they bloom at the right time
The garden is more than wonderful. It has restaurants and cafes, which I loved
I love the dawns here as much as its possible
Beautiful area close to lake in Geneva. Shade when is over 30 degrees.
I love the garden but the flower clock is a big fuss for something that you can literally find in all big cities worldwide. Love the place anyway. I hope itll soon be a spot to watch the fireworks again in a near future.
This is a nice urban park which frequently host various street festivals and activities. There is a good view of the lake and the mountains. If you are in Geneva, you really should come here at least once. At the same time, it isnt especially interesting or unique, so I wouldnt recommend coming here unless you are already in Geneva.
Nice park and have many views to visit and some games for kids. You have the best view to the fountain.
One of the nicest city parks Ive been to. As if the city was built around it. Its worth bringing a pastry and coffee then enjoying it on the geneva wheel. The signs will say you cant, but they allow everyone to do it. Of course, keep it clean for the next person. The ride lasts only about 5 minutes and you get to go around a few times. Beautiful 360 views from the top for sure.
It was my second time but it still always interesting place since I just visited le Jardin with big clock
The only park in Genève that is actually well kept and it has a beautiful view.
Vibrant and colorful flowers, lovely garden, serene atmosphere of the lake and fountain
Amazing park for picnic with friends or family. Really great for walk . Or we can just sit in the bunch and just relax by viewing the lake Geneva or looking at the great water fountain of Geneva
A beautiful park due-south of Lake Geneva well worth a stop. The flower clock is definitely a tourist attraction, and not something worth spending much time at- but the rest of the park overlooks the lake and is gorgeous, with a nice breeze and plenty of shade available. While I was there, two different street musicians cane through and played- so you very well may get some entertainment along the way, too!
Its very well kept. Really nice.
Place to walk around beutifull waterfront and sit and relax a bit at geneva. Lot of watch maker shops and sjopping places around.
Beautiful gardens in Geneva... Sunny day and beautiful people. City is impeccable clean....
Probably because I visited on a weekday afternoon that I find the garden to be very general. Fountains were not open and several area under renovation. It is indeed very quiet and peaceful but nothing too exciting.
English Garden is also a great place to be in Geneva during the day snd night. You can swim, ride on a boat and lots of other fun things to do in the area like dining, tour trains etc.
Beautiful park to take a nice stroll with stunning lake views. The famed flower clock & fountain are the main attractions. We came here for the Christmas market in mid November. It was nicely decorated & festive for the holidays. Glad we did not miss it before leaving Geneva.
The flower clock landmark of Geneva. There is a Christmas Market operating there from late Nov. I visited on weekday night so not crowded but lacks entertainment/performance.
Awesome.Great boat rides nice cafes and of course the geyser..lots tp do and see beautiful park all in all..have a cute train ride didnt have opportunity to do.., perhaps next time..great place for kids and adults alike, etc, etc.
Wonderful Park, just beautiful! The green space, fontaine water, the great view along the lake.. you have to take some time to enjoy.
Beautiful lake side park. Fresh air and happiness if not for the sociopathic smokers around. Geneva should ban public smoking and open smoking zones for such people. Many sparrows and birds in the park. Lake beside. Fountain jet deau next to it. Lots of eateries beside. Lots of transport options.
Great place to walk around and pass time. Beautiful place with lake and mountains in the background. Handy foods available in the area. Please take note that all the shops may not be able to accept overseas credit cards.
Beautiful, charming, peaceful park with benches by the lake particularly on a sunny dry day. Visit the colourful flower clock, the fountains and statues/monuments nearby and pet a dog and chat with a local :It is a good way to spend an afternoon there - stroll, ice-cream, photos, people watching.
Beautiful park to chill out after walking around Geneva lake. The view toward the lake is absolutely amazing. I can spend hours here during nice weather if I have a chance to come back. Very relax and peaceful.
