The chicken curry was completely flavourless and watery and the pakora was rock solid to the point I could barely bite into it. Got to be the worst Indian food weve ever had.

We wanted to try different restaurant than. Our usual so we give it shot As it has 4.1 rating. But we were disappointed , this is not indian restaurant , taste and greavy is quite different in taste, Naam is not as soft.We are vegetarian and we only order indian food. They may have other stuff good but my family didnt like Indian food.

Wow! Outstanding restaurant. Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the entire Tri-Cities - even all of Vancouver. Ive ordered many times from Jamilas and every time the food is incredible. Whether I get pizza or traditional food, its always the best. They even customize your level of spiciness (I love mine super spicy). I highly recommend going here! Theyre amazing to the community too - lots of philanthropy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Biryani was spicy and hot enough but didnt have enough ingredients. It was only rice and lamb. The paneer chili had a sweet taste to it. Very friendly staff though.

The butter chicken is just chicken in spicy tomato soup. NOT a traditional butter chicken at all. Disgusting. My grandmothers souvlaki was fine though, hence the extra star. Also, didnt say on their website that they use doordash. Had I known that, I wouldnt have ordered. Disgusting, over spiced, food. Will never order again, AND have to find another solution for dinner.

Quite simply some of the best Indian-Western fusion food in all of the Tri-Cities. If youre a fan of beautifully thick and saucy Indian curries like are renowned in London, then this is your place. Generous portions. Plus, their staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating folks when ordering or picking up.

Gave them 2 chances and thats one too many. Their food is just bad, you would get the same quality , if not better from pre-packaged curries sold at grocery stores.

Ordered delivery from Jamila’s Kitchen and was so impressed! The Lamb Qabuli Palaw and Boolani were amazing, not to mention the chutneys! 5 stars all the way, will definitely order from them again.

We ordered Qabuli rice with beef kebab as take out and it was so delicious and also the food quality was great. They packed the food for us organized and nice.I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone 😊

I have been to many Afghan Restaurants in Canada but while visiting Vancouver we gave a try to Jamila’s kitchen the food was delicious and large portion also they have Indian and Greek food as well the restaurant owned by Family they were very friendly hospitable we had a great experience

We only ordered here as we were in the neighbourhood and it seemed to have good reviews. Unfortunately, this has been the worst and most unpleasant Indian food I have had. We ordered the Paneer Burji" and the consistency was "soup" like, to the point that it was quite runny. There was barely any shredded paneer, I would say their was more sauce and peas in it than actual paneer. We also didnt end up finishing the food and threw out majority of it. Maybe the other cuisines they serve here might be better, but we definitely wont be coming back to try more.

We had the feast for two. There was too much rice compared to everything else it comes with. Single order for butter chicken and single skewer of chicken. It wouldve been nice if they threw in another skewer of something else and at least some greek potatoes.Chicken was dry (maybe due to take out)?Flavour was alright. Heat on Indian food was at a good level.

I’ve gotten the Honey Garlic Chicken wings from here a few times with my friends and we have always enjoyed the meal. Easily the best wings I’ve had. Owner of the store is also very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered from Jamila’s because the menu looked great. We were very disappointed in the quality of food. The butter chicken is flavourless. Whereas the shrimp souvlaki is so incredibly spicy we can barley eat it. Not to mention everything in the container tastes the same—rice, potato, and shrimp. There is no difference between any of the three items. They should taste different, but they’ve all been slathered in a spice that is frankly overwhelming and not tasty. The Greek salad came without dressing. This was such a disappointing experience and a waste of money.

The staffs are very rude.they don’t lem me in. I was driver but the second time I was customer.I came for order food.but your staff didn’t let me in.they took video of me and it was very rude.how you can say that I can’t order the food. You had to let me in and prepared food for me.my shift was finished at that time. There is no problem send your video for skip.

I used to work for DoorDash and Id constantly get orders for Jamilas. The food always smelled so tantalizing... so I finally gave in and ordered some for myself (through UberEats; DD steals tips now and is horrible to restaurants so dont order through DD). I didnt realize that I had ordered right before closing and it was such a large order. But still, the restaurant made it with so much love, care, and detail. The food is absolutely fantastic and they seal every package. It came hot and the flavor is just impeccable. Ive never had Afghan food but I have eaten Indian food from all over the world. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that Jamilas Kitchen has the best Indian food in the entire Vancouver-tri city area. Just wow. No wonder why so many people order food from here!If youre curious, just bite the bullet and order. You wont be disappointed!(My absolute favorite was the aloo paratha. My boyfriend was supposed to get some, but it was so good that I just gobbled it down lol!)

Sorry.......not great. We ordered the butter chicken and naan. The butter chicken had the consistency of tomato soup and frankly the flavour to match. Way to runny. I will say the actual chicken in the dish was nice, not too dry, but they hardly give you any. The naan was a bit on the chewy side. We are going to stick with our old faithful which is strictly Indian food. This place may offer too many styles of food which may mean they are just mediocre making all of them instead of being fantastic with one style. We dont recommend nor will we be ordering anything from them in the future... even though we only had the Indian since it was mediocre we are going to have to assume the rest is as well. I almost forgot... we ordered a piece of cheesecake as well..it was horrible, I actual think it had gone off and they smothered it with all this sweet sauce to cover it up. DISGUSTING. I hope we dont end up sick from the few bites we had before we realized there was something up. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

The worst place ever. Dont get close to this place. Their food is dangerous. We found huge piece of glass in the dish. One of the pieces I swallowed and spent couple of hours at the emergency.I already submitted a report to Fraser Health. Jamilas curries are quite delicious and well-seasoned. You can actually taste the herbs they use (more fresh than other places).I would say curry wise, they have the best taste.Kurry up has the most (and great qualityprotein, the Bombay Sweets has the biggest portion for the price (but low quality protein now), Lazzes Grill is overrated (the curry sauces are not always freshand we dont even look at Spice Art anymore.One star off because: 1the amount of protein was inconsistent, my husbands chili curry didnt have as much pieces of chicken compared to my curry, which had tons. 2The review with the glass piece really freaked us out as we had wolfed down our dinner without thinking because it was so tasty. Great service. Delicious freshly prepared food. Reasonable prices. Generous portions. What more could you ask for? I’m going to be a regular here now since I love the variety of dishes they have on the menu and I really like supporting small family owned and operated restaurants like this one where the owners serve friendly and personable service along with the great food.

I’ve ordered from the Indian, Afghani and Greek menus....never disappointed...large portions (usually lunch or dinner the next day)...great introduction to Afghani food....super friendly staff. AND great community members. I’ll be back.

Our family had different choices, so we got some Greek, some Afghani and some Indian. All dishes were very tasty with just the right amount of spice and flavour. Especially the curry. Yum.

Id say dont do skip the dishes or any food service because if youre expecting what you see in photos of dining in, youre going to be disappointed. Heres two orders of calamari for $13 each. Half full, cold, and soggy... and they forgot to include the tzatziki I ordered. What is calamari without tzatziki 😤 Edit: Thanks for taking the time to reply to my message. Maybe youre right, I couldve called to rectify the issue, but the food still came out of your restaurant to be delivered to me, and your staff saw the condition of it before they packed it up. At that point, would someone from your restaurant have driven to my home to replace it? Or would it be a next time I dine with you, something happens? If it would have been the latter, Ill pass!

Friendly staff, excellent Indian food, lots of choices and fantastic lunch specials. The portions arent as big as other places but it more than makes up for it just on taste alone. Highly recommended.

Mild butter chicken was "white girl perfect" and medium chicken goa had reasonable heat without burying the flavor. The salad was incredible. This was the best curry weve found in the area yet; well be back for sure!

One of the best Restaurants in Coquitlam area. We go there frequently and nowadays just takeout. Very friendly staff and tasty food. The main dish takes a bit long to be ready but I guess that is because they make everything fresh!

I love ordering from Jamilas! They have a very wide selection of food but I always seem to order the Indian and it is delicious! Would highly recommend the palak paneer, Great naan and rice too. The staff/owners are so kind, friendly and appreciative of the business. I always recommend this place to friends.

Good experience with Jamilas.My wife wanted pizza and she can be picky, but she was happy with the Greek pizza.The roast lamb was succulent.The saag goat was full of flavour.The butter chicken taste a little bit like tomato soup.The tzatziki was fresh and thick.The breads were fresh and wonderful.This all came with various sauces, rice, potatoes and salads. All very nice.

If I could rate them 1,000/5 I would. Order with uber and food was judg amazing thr three of us could not stop staying how good the food was. First time trying Afghani good for all of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed. So fresh and so flavorful. Have delivered food for them for skip a lot before which made me want to try it. Owners and extremely friendly and knowledgeable when asked about gluten free option for my celiac girlfriend. Even with how busy they were he still gave me very detailed answers about their gluten free menu and I wasnt even a customer. They are even willing to feed the homeless which is just outstanding A +++++++ for jamilas will definitely be a repeat customer!!!

Decided to go with Jamila’s for day 2 of our Middle Eastern takeout challenge. Yet again, I was absolutely blown away! I got the Chicken Shami with a beef samosa while my fiancée got the Butter Chicken.The chicken had a wonderful flavour with a nice kick, and the portion was MASSIVE. I by no means am I a small eater, but I was able to save half for another meal. The beef samosa was a perfect appy to start.Now the butter chicken had to be the best we have ever tried. Often time we find that when you order medium, it comes with no kick at all. This one was the perfect blend of spice and flavour.No doubt we will be ordering as much as our bank accounts can afford in the future! This place is a MUST EAT!!Edit: Ordered a Tandoori Chicken pizza today and it is INCREDIBLE! High quality pizza that you can tell was made from scratch. What can’t this place make?!

I’m not sure what has happened with this business, but quality has plummeted immensely!We ordered pizza tonight, after having ordered amazing food previously.Tonight’s order consisted of extremely thin crusts, barely any topping, and looked awful.We had grown to know Pizza Island to provide quality, plentiful meals previous to this. We’re shocked at the decline in quality with the cost remaining the same!

We just got our food from skip the dishes. The calamari is deadly. We order it all the time from everywhere but this place is the best. It was still warm and crispy ! Nel is not speaking the truth!! As a chef i respect good food. Thank you and can’t wait to come in person to eat !!!!

Would not recommend. Ordered a calamari to go, and after waiting over half an hour for it, with little attention from the servers, it was cold and undercooked. Nor did it taste very fresh. I missed work the next day due to food poisoning.The atmosphere was lackluster and the seats were atrocious. I have a bad back and would not be able to dine in.When I asked to speak to the manager I found the service went from friendly to sour very fast. Manager was unfriendly and basically brushed off my complaints telling me to go elsewhere if I didnt like it. Will not be returning.

These guys are very unique if youre looking for something out of the ordinary. Lots of menu items. almost as many as a Chinese kitchen except without the Chinese food! Lots of variety.As a designer their logo got my attention right away with the friendly elephant and brand. Theyre friendly and positive service really is appreciated and I tried different kinds of their vegetarian and meat dishes which are fantastic. I tried the samosas and pakoras which are great. They have one of the best dipping sauces Ive ever tried which is sometimes tangy or spicy.A simple family-owned place with lots of free parking so definitely recommended. Convenient and affordable I would suggest trying this if you havent already. Well worth it!

We had the beef shami and goat curry. Both were delicious! They were super busy when I called my order in but food was ready at the time they promised. When I went to collect the food, the gentleman was very nice and answered my questions patiently even though it was very busy time. We’re definitely going back!

This is by far the BEST Greek food in the area. The people are very nice and the food is delicious. We order from here at least twice a month and are never disappointed.Excellent service...fabulous food! Best potatoes ever! Had it delivered- really enjoyed it!The best Greek and Italian pizza take out place!! I love the chicken souvlaki and the lasagna! Great prices and the owner is the nicest guy. Delicious food with authentic flavors. Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable. They to deliver for FREE, FREE DELIVERY which was such a bonus. My husband and I struggle to find decent Indian curries, but have always been pleased with Pizza Island and Indian Spice. If you havent tried it, you totally should

The food tasted great. however, I threw up the day before yesterday the whole day and the previous night to that too but that could just be me sensitive to lactose or something else. I had the chowmein and some chicken chilli at that time. I took a break for the next day due to my stomach upset and after a days break, I took out some vegetable fried rice to eat and noticed a piece of tandoori chicken in my food. In my entire takeout order, I never ordered tandoori chicken and for dinner. I had opened up a vegetable fried rice box and mushroom and peas curry box, however I saw this random piece of tandoori chicken in it! All I can say is that this piece of chicken was not supposed to be in there

Unexpected discovery! While one half of our family went to Subway around the corner, we decided to try this little place. It looks like it is run by East Indian family and they offer East Indian food as well as various Pizzas + interesting Indo-Chinese mix of cuisine.Place was clean, bright, spacious. We ordered lamb (different dishesand later other part of our family joined us returning from Subway. Owner had no objections to us having subs as well as their dishes. In fact, they even provided plates for others.Anyhow, the food was awesome! I really like it and is planning to come back again.I gave only 4 stars because one of the TVs was not working.
