Jamie's Restaurant - Italian restaurant in Nicosia, Cyprus
Ordered the ribeye steak- most expensive item on the menu- and only ate half. Sent it to be boxed along with my husband’s overcooked veal. We opened the box the next day to eat for dinner and there was no steak inside. Called and spoke to manager, Panayiotis. He offered me a dessert next time we are in or a pasta. I paid 29 Euros for a steak -and asked them to replace it but they would not. Will definitely not be back - even online. No wonder the place is empty the few times we’ve gone there. If they keep this up they will close like other (betterplaces in Nicosia.
Expected much much more! Service average, prices ok and taste was below average...
Wonderful experience! Our waitress amazing! Thanks to her and her knowledge for the job we had an amazing night! I personally want to thank her, Shirin, amazing costumer service , she was kind and sweet! Give her a raise!
Fantastic place place first of all!!!About food??We was 4 person there and we take 4 different dishes!Every singlt plate was perfect! The staff was super nice and friendly!Definitely we will go again! And you can communicate in different languages!!
The food may be average and the prices steep, but the decor is quite cool, very cozy. Also nice to have a whole restaurant to yourself for a business lunch. No cone of silence needed! They need to keep the quality of the food, but up their portion sizes, and perhaps drop those silly prices a little. The staff on average are good, but from time to time we get some lame service, which reflects on management as training (or pay?must be mediocre.
Just excellent, best restaurant in Lefkosia for my taste.Top dishes, top service, top environment!
Pizza was nothing like the written description, definitely not an artisan pizza. Description said basil and reality included 1 basil leaf, description said slow roasted tomatoes reality included 4 cherry tomatoes barely roasted and not the best buffalo mozzarella like described.
Excellent food, excellent service! We tried the carbonara, Caesar’s salad and the Porcini Tagliatelle. All 3 dishes were excellent... I’m really surprised this restaurant has only an average of 4.0 - it’s definitely a 5!!!
Excellent food and service! I recommend the porcini tagliatelle and the penne carbonara with the Caesar’s salad.
A lovely mid-week escape from the Hussle and bustle of the city life :)
A lovely restaurant.
The restaurant itself is very nice, polite staff, nice atmosphere, as a vegan I called beforehand to ask if there are any vegan options, I was told that there are standard dishes that can be altered and made vegan, fair enough. Now from the number of dishes, one pasta dish and one pizza could be made vegan as suggested, the pasta would be plain with tomato sauce and the pizza would have its cheese removed and keep the greens and the tomato sauce (I dont think that still can be called a pizza but anyway). I went with the pizza option. To my disappointment it ended up to be just bread and tomato-sauce as perceived by my taste buds as even the vegetable quantity was not adjusted for the lack of cheese and had minimum effect on the taste. Not happy and not suggested for vegans, in 2022! Other than that I am sure it is a decent place to eat
True to its word,, simple tasty food with friendly, beaming staff - and kid friendly as well
Orderd delivery, burger was tasty but cold and the ingredients weren’t fresh! 3 stars for the tasty burger
Excellent food for delivery and takeaway will be visiting soon and very nice outside patio
Service was extremely poor although there were multiple waiters on shift, pizzas were very disappointing soggy and falling apart ( the new vegetarian option was not palatable at all, risotto was tasty but extremely salty, interior is amazing so sad the food doesnt follow suit.
Had the same pasta twice there. Not properly cooked - fresh pasta should not be served aldente. Not evenly cooked as well-some linguini straws were more cooked than others. Portion was ridiculously small. I made the mistake to reveal to the waiter that I was fasting, and we agreed on a small alteration of the dish. The manager then came and insisted in the most serious manner that I cant have the pasta I had ordered because it was not a fasting dish-in the end I got nervous and replied that I can have it if I want. In general, a disappointing experience.
Delicious food and cozy ambience which come together with rude and improper service. If you like to beg continuously someone to attend your table, and eat starter and main course (why not a dessert as well), at the very same time - this is your place! Dont forget to book it first ;)
Very disappointed in regards of the overall taste. Food is pretty much bland. I was fascinated by the idea of french fries being tasteless, I mean how can you ruin french fries. Chicken I ordered brought me back to UKs mall food... and it was not a great experience. Another thing that was striking is how they are a self proclaiming restaurant when most of the menu is made from frozen ingredients. Conclusively, if you think that you will go there to enjoy a great meal this is definitely not the place for you. The place interior is pretty dope though...
Food was low quality, untasty, and defenetly not italian. I felt i was in a fast food restaurant. It was also very expensive, for example all the starters we ordered cost 5 and 6 euros, but the portion was very small and of course very bad quality with defenetly not fresh ingritients
This was a real disappointment. I am a fan of Jamie Oliver and expected much better. The ambience and space was lovely, service was fine. The food could not have been worse. We all felt sick afterwards. The salads were awful. The ingredients were ice cold, it tasted as though it had been cut, put in the fridge and then taken out again. The croutons in the salads and bruschettas were inedible. I ordered the porkie pizza, it was caked it about 3 solid layers of meat. It was disgusting.
By the decoration & the reviews I thought it’ll be a WOW before getting there, but Unfortunately it wasn’t!First of all Jamie is not an Italian name so guess the rest…!😅Second, I don’t know for what reason they brought 1 soup out of 2 after almost half an hour!( the same type of soup, ordered at the same time). It happened to the drink as well! We ordered 2 mojitos at the same time but one of us received it after half an hour! 🤷🏻♀️weird! especially because it wasn’t that crowded then(we went for lunch around 13:00). The taste of the soup and also the fish was so-so. But the mojito was really exquisite and had a fresh taste. The price is high tor the food they serve. I don’t think I will go there again, but the atmosphere of the restaurant, decoration, accessories, etc are so cozy and likely.
Definitely not a place that I’ll choose for food ever again either by dining in or ordering. Increase your standard for service and delivery including food quality. For now close down Food should be serviced on time and warm…
Last time I ordered a pasta, I didnt like it. Spaghetti werent al dente, were very soft. The sauce was too far behind in quality than what I expected from a restaurant with "Italian" in its name. Also, they forgot to add parmesan to the order, even though I requested it. So, I would call this an overpriced fast food. It was a pasta that make you think "I shouldnt order from this place again".
Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in town. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! You should try JULIETTA pizza! 🍕
Expected a bit more, but a rather enjoyable experience overall. The dishes we tried werent all that special (maybe their pasta is good), but the desserts were quite tasty.
The Food was excellent, But the service was pathetic..... service was extremely slow , there were only 3 waiter/waitresses for outdoor and indoor. We were waited so long to start order.....funny thing is, there were a family after us came to the restaurant , already start get served to order food, our table still waiting and waiting, nobody come over to take the order.....Initially, we were supposed to get served before that family. They were entering the restaurant after us....... after we finished the starter and main course ... We want to order the deserts... we were waiting, waiting, and waiting..... and until we were upset. After the deserts, we want the bill..... we couldn’t find any waiter/waitress for asking bill. Everyone seems busy. After telling the waiters several times finally we got the bill..... Food was good, service was really bad, But we left a good tips at the end, because we are never gonna visit this place again.
The place is nice, however, the food is average. The Caesar salad with almost rotten cherry tomatoes and tasteless chicken breast. The grilled vegetables were fatty as if fried in oil.
Atmosphere is great, but food is very average, nothing special
I visited the place a couple of times and ordered delivery even more. The staff there is always friendly and helpful and you can always go through a last minute reservation. The food quality and quantity is very good and honest and matches its prices.
I loved the food, excellent waiters.. really sweet and the food was delicious 😍 it has caffe nero right next to it
Really excellent food, looks as if ingredients were hand picked! Very good service and reasonable price! Will definitely visit again!
I have visited this place twice and cannot question the quality of the food on offer. The mushroom risotto is sensational. However, the service on our recent visit was slightly strange to say the least. Upon arrival we elected to sit outside where there were numerous tables available. Initially we were seated at a small table that had the most uncomfortable chairs I can remember. We asked to move which prompted numerous waiters/esses getting involved. Eventually we were moved to another very small table despite there being numerous larger tables available.Knowing how big the plates are we anticipated that there would not be enough space on the table so started to move glasses and bottles onto the nearby window ledge. When the food arrived there still was not really enough room on the table, so the waiter brought a fabric top stool (presumably that people had been sitting onto place other items on. Very strange. The food was delicious, make no mistake. After eating we noted that there was a strange smell on one of the napkins. We checked the other napkin on the table which was fine. The smell was clearly excrement and most likely human. We then noted that a small pellet of what looked like a lentil was on the table under where the plates had been. We were obviously slightly surprised to realise that this is where the smell was coming from.We discussed this with the manager who disappeared to investigate. Upon returning he informed us that he had searched the kitchen and did not know where it had come from. He agreed with our thoughts that it did look and smell like excrement. We requested the bill. We were very surprised that there was no offer of compensation in the form of a reduction or voucher. As mentioned above, the food is of excellent quality, but the quality is clearly lacking in its staff. I am sure that in most restaurants around the world that in similar circumstances there would have been a much greater effort to explain, appease or compensate for the incident that has left a rather sour taste in our mouths.
Great restaurant with delicious Italian cuisine. Every detail is on a high level both in the interior and in the dishes. Service is professional and friendly. If youre visiting the first time - ultimate plank is highly recommended.
Good environment ,set menu price is very good, but can not use discount, drinks and some expensive... A glass of lemonade costs 4.50 euros, and its not good either. The food wasnt amazing. It just feels normal. Maybe try pizza next time.
Food poison warning! If I could put a 0 rating, that would be more honest and reflective. This restaurant isn’t only disgustingly overpriced, it’s straight up dirty. Both times I visited for lunch, the tables (and sometimes the floorwas sticky. The glasses were also unclean. If that’s not enough, what the hell is up with thair abysmal customer service? Do the rude staff also have to be arrogant about their incompetence? I haven’t mentioned the worst yet. I got food poisoned BOTH times visiting this disastrous place. This has never happened to me in any other restaurant in Cyprus and not even in any third world countries I have been to. Horrible, horrible experiences there.
The food was extremely delicious and exceptionalGreat service - friendly waiters/waitressesWe loved the atmosphere
Made a non smoking reservation but we were given a table outside. Very expensive for the quality of the food. From a group of 8 people only one person liked the food. My mushroom egg pizza tasted like egg and lemon soup! Definitely never going again
Warm welcome, great atmosphere, great quality food and service. In love with it! The only tip I would give would be checking the guest toilets more often. It wasn’t dirty but the smell was not pleasant. Will definitely come back for more!
Wonderful place! Very delicious food! 👍
Jamie Oliver Restaurant in Nicosia is excellent. Great Food , Super Atmosphere and good value. Highly Recommend
Very nice looking place. The atmosphere is great and the staff very helpful. The dishes we had were pretty good, but the portions small.
Fish was juicy, tasty, and beautiful. However it was too salty especially on the surface. It costed 20 euro per person. The terrace was nice. The service was normal, they hurried us bit even though the restaurant was empty. There is a big parking area in front of the restaurant. It is really close to cafe Nero, and supermarket alphamega.
Decoration is really nice..food was good ...
A great dinner! We had the garlic bread which was the best garlic bread I have ever tasted. For starter we also took garlic prawns, which were fantastic! For main courses we took porcine tagliatelle with mushrooms and octopus ravioli and a pizza to share the last one from the menu! We had a fruity white wine and we paid almost 30 euro a person which was value for money! The service was good very kind and helpful! I will definitely come here again to taste more pasta and pizza! Maybe also the other main dishes 😊
Overall: looks better than it tastes. Mixed reviews from friends who visited when it first opened put me off. But now that I’ve been... it’s decent. Well presented, good service but the food left me us all a little flat. Tip: favour the starters over the deserts as they are better (and prepared on the premises). Will come again (eventually).
Location is good with easy access and lots of parking space. The restaurant is very nicely decorated with a cozy atmosphere, plenty of space and outside seating. Food is very good, kids menu not so much, service is excellent and the stuff well trained. Only downside is a bit pricey considering other similar restaurants.
Second time here, like the food here...
Loved the place, the food and the service. Reasonable prices too.
Ive been a fan of Jamie ever since i saw his first show on tv. I am always enjoying the way he approaches things and ive always been fascinated by his traveling and his ideas. Tonight i had great expectations from him and glad to say i was not disappointed a bit. The restaurant is as i thought it would be and the food tastes like Jamie. Beautifuly set inside and out, stuff are great and very friendly. Ive seen many of his series and with every bite i could feel Jamies touch. Prices are reasonable and the food tastes great, wish i lived closer, this would be one of my favourite places to go out.
