Jamie's Italian Den Haag in Den Haag

After hearing about Jamies for a long time, I was finally able to try it out over Valentines day with the fam! The restaurant was busy, but the staff was friendly and accommodating of food choices and the cocktails were 10/10! Even though it was full, the food came fast and tasted great. Would definitely recommend :)

The staff is really really nice and the food is simply great. Perfect for vegetarians and meat-eaters. We had pizza, pasta and coffee and it tasted so good that we had to come again the next day. Even on the weekend we did not needed a reservation for lunch. Totally recommend!

Except location and interior everything was been really moderate or even casual.I had ordered the salmon which was been extremely oiled.They gladly reduced the size of pizza for children, meanwhile keeping the same price. Unfortunately the pizza was been burned into a cinder.This place perfectly fine for meet with friends but not for lunch/dinner

Had some doubts before going here, but was pleasantly surprised with a very welcoming service (rare in The Netherlands& the food was lovely! Tortellini with beef was so good! And they know how to make Aperol Spritz 👌🏻

Short story: brought 1 she, 2 kids 5 and 7 years old, 4 stars. Heres why:It was lunch, this time. The kids were happily surprised to see that they could choose their menu with a viewmaster-type 3D device. Plenty menu options, vegetarian, meat-loving, small, big, anything. I took the lesser known special of the day: sucade with mashed pumpkin.The dish was lovely, well cooked, well spiced, nicely presented. Loved every bite. Dessert was a tiramisu, again very well prepared, not too sweet.The only thing I could think of that was less than perfect (although my kids ate everythingwere the beef meatballs on my sons plate. Those were really,really overcooked. He still loved them.Yes, I will be back for the friendly service, nice food and excellent desserts.

All the waiters were friendly and helpful. 👍The service is fast. We waited for our pasta for 10-15 min max ( although we came around 1 PM, 20 min later the restaurant was full, others have probably waited longer).The food was good, the portions are rather small (IMHObut we all know that overeating is bad for your health ;)Someone below left a poor comment about their coffee, actually we can prove it wrong/subjective 🙃. Our Americano was very decent, taking into account that we consider ourselves coffemaniacs.

Its one of the nice spots in Den Haag. Although not the best in town, the food is good and the atmosphere is laid back. Most important is that these are brought to you for a reasonable price.Dont bother ordering the coffee. The beans will probably be good enough, but personnel doesnt know how to make a good cup.

Original menu and good service, also for info about allergies. Food is good and portions are balanced. Only the reservation process was not smooth, including getting a table swiftly. I apologize for the picture; I already started, the Sicilian coliflower is very recommended unless you need meat.

Great kitchen and service. Strongly recommend trying the salmon which was very well mixed with vegetables and some fantastic sauce. The side dish Kale salad with hazelnuts was very well dressed and salted. I managed to sit outside on the street in the sun Which is present only for one hour per day. That made my day.

We went to it lunch, as we where passing nearby.This is a nice pub/restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Food tasty.

Very tasty pizza, but not cheap. Good atmosphere and kind staff.

It was super delicious and super fast!S little things were very pleasant as a very cold glass for beer. Highly recommend to visit this place with a kids. They have a very healthy kid menu.

I did a online reservation on the site of the restaurant, the reservation went very fast and easy. We didn’t need to wait for a table. At the table we did order something to drink, the first drink that I’ve order was the Jamie’s Mojito. After that I did order a French Martini that did taste and look like fruit punch. Just as you can see on the picture. Thereafter we had place our order, but unfortunately the order was not completely delivered. I did had to ask for the missing orders. I had the veggie burger which was not so tasty. My lunch experience at the Jamie’s in Rotterdam is nothing in compare as the one in The Hague. Please provide discount or house wine when a unsatisfied client give that to notice at the waiters. In this case I did share my thoughts but I’d just received a “ok”.

After the first time the diner wasnt to our liking. The supervisor immediately reacted to my review and had email contact with me. He was saddened that the first time during valentines day the diner did not meet our expectations. He invited us over for a second diner and even offered us two pastas on the house. This time the service level of the staff was great. The pasta tasted amazing. And the desert was an outstanding finish. Would recommend this place because it has a great value for the price.

Just had a weird experience here after a couple of OK lunches. The waitress asked me if I liked the dish and if it was what I expected and I was honest and told her "not really". She offered me a replacement which I found very professional and nice. Apparently her manager did not agree. He came back to our table with the dish and started an interrogation, if I had mentioned upfront I "did not eat tomatoes, if I knew most Italian dishes contained tomatoes" (yes, but it was not mentioned on the menu, I did not demand a replacement when I did not touch my food-it was offered to meetc. He hang around for some time and it was unclear for me what he wanted exactly. After minutes in this uncomfortable situation, I said I did not want the replacement dish after all (which I did not ask for but was offeredbecause he made me feel uncomfortable. Then he left, but not without mentioning that he wanted to offer the dish "on the house" but now he was going to make me pay. The waitress was nice though.

Very nice staff, helpful and polite. Food was amazing. One of the best carbonara I have ever had. Yummy. Families friendly place.

Most of the times when we want to eat here there is no table available. But when there is......we go all out. Recommendations: fried calamaris, burger, spicy fries, risotto. The food is awesome, staff is friendly. Last time the main course took too long, the front desk wrapped it up, added a brownie on the house and had the kitchen whip up some truffle mayo for my pregnant wife. Gotta love good service....its rare nowadays.

Initially I was skeptical: another too-hyped name-calling restaurant. NOPE. Its worth every cent and more!If you want a weekend dinner, call a few days in advance and you MIGHT get something.Walk in on a Wednesday evening, you get served right away!The food was superb! I mean: cascade of well balanced flavours in juuuuuuuuuuust the right amount.The service impeccable! They take care of you with a smile, but they dont step over your privacy (you know those places where youre asked if the food is good every damn minute by the entire staff - not the case here). They are genuinely appreciative of your patronage.Dont expect too high prices either: with €70 one can pay for a dinner for two + tip (our last visit )

Beautiful food, great staff, and comfortable place to eat.

We were one of the first people to arrive for lunch. The waiter was nice, but seemed like he had a long shift, ‘cause he kept forgetting the daily dishes. The food was really NOT what I expected from a Jamie’s. I love Jamie’s cheesecake but it didn’t even taste like a cheesecake! The pannecota wasn’t that great either. The pasta’s were okay, but also below standard. I’m sorry Jamie but I only gave the second star because I love your shows and recipes otherwise it would have been 1.

Went there for lunch and the food is delicious. Accompanied with good wine and cup of coffee after the meals, it was nice.

The food was very good but the service was a bit slow. Besides, I do not have any reservations I recommend! Affordable prices.

Disappointing - nice looking simple restaurant. Waited 10 minutes at the front desk even though we had booked. Waited 25 mins after ordering our drinks for the drinks to arrive. Starter was nice, had the antipasti which was nice. Took a while for our plates to be taken away, mains didn’t take as long but service inbetween courses was not great! Waited far too long for the bill too, expensive for basic Italian food, extremely poor service throughout the whole evening. Would not recommend and will not re-visit.

Took about 25 min for the drinks to arrive. Food (pastawas not cooked properly in some bits and had to wait a long time. When the food arrived we had no cutlery too. Very messy service.In my opinion the capacity of the restaurant is too big of what they can handle. Shame.

Nice visit. The staff is super friendly, and even though it was a little crowdy we didnt have to wait too long. The place has a nice vibe, perfect for families and groups. I ordered a pizza and it was definitely Italian (!although tasted a bit flat for me, not much herbs. But good quality dough and spices on the table let me enjoy it still ;the prices are not the best, obviously you pay for the name. But well, its a good name! If somebody enjoys recipes of Jamie is definitely worth to visit there, and pay a tribute ;)

The food is excellent...Friendly waiters but the waiting time can definitely improve

First things first: you are definitely paying for the name here. I ordered the Italian burger without fries, which cost €16. Overall, it was a good burger. The meat was good, and the toppings were also delicious. The combination of ingredients tasted really good, and I enjoyed it. However, it is not a particularly large burger, so when you consider that the fries are not included in the price, the value proposition goes downhill very quickly. Additionally, considering this is likely the most I’ve ever paid for a burger by itself, I was not asked how I would like the burger cooked. That isn’t to say that I didn’t enjoy how it was cooked (done), but I expected a little bit more for the money.The friends I went with enjoyed their meals, and their meals also looked delicious. The service was good, and if it weren’t for the price of some of the items I’d surely be back again soon.

We went for a drink and I was pleasantly surprised by their #hotcocoa #hotchocolate boy oh boy by far the #bestintown. It was creamy, perfectly hot and perfect portion. I also ordered a mango mojito -it was ok. The location is nice, but find the menu on the pricey side.

Pricey, limited menu and friendly but incompetent service. First we waited 10 minutes for the hostess. Then we had to wait 10 minutes at the bar, because no table was available. While we waited we saw 3 tables opening up, but they just werent clearing them. After 15 minutes they finally got around to cleaning one. Then we waited to order drinks. Waited for them to come, they forgot one. We ordered starter and kids meal, they forgot the starter...this continues. The 9,50 childrens pizza is rediculous, see picture. I know Oliver is trying to make kids eat less, but dont charge 9,50 then. Food is ok, but nothing special. Not a lot of choice on the menu. So, do not recommend.

Great experiences every time. I went for my third time and it still manages to keep the same quality and atmosphere. My 3 year old nephew came with us and got the kids menu, which had a fun way of picking his favorite meal.As I am vegetarian, the waitress was very helpful to point out what I could eat and what they could do to change the plate to make it vegetarian.Take the Italian Nacho’s, the calamari and the White chocolate cheesecake! They are to die for

The food was okay, nothing incredible, nothing special, but you pay for the name. Nice surroundings, nice staff.

Food is acceptable for the price, but portions are absurdly small. Also, this place really had terrible waiters when I was there. I couldnt order any drinks with my food, they forgot cutlery with the dishes and when I asked for mayonaise (twicethey took so long that I already finished all the food. We had four different waiters. Three were absolutely terrible, one was kind.

I had a meal with my husband on the recommendation of our son and daughter-in-law. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The staff were lovely and attentive but not overly so. The garlic bread was the best we have ever had, like a big muffin, delicious. Our main course was fish for me and steak for my husband. Both were excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed although every table was taken. A great evening.

We went with my husband, our small son and a family friend. Nice atmosphere, changing table for babies, very friendly staff.Unfortunately the food was one big disappointment. I took a hamburger in which both the bread and meat were burnt (charred). We ordered a tomato ricotta bruschetta for our toddler and even there the bread was black and your won’t believe 😂 but our friend’s chicken was also charred... Apparantely the kitchen is super hot place... Fun to try once but we won’t come again.

We all knowJamie and though I am not a fan of his shows I must admit that his recipes were and still are crowd pleasers so we decided to check his new restaurant wityh tyhe whole family. The location is not ideal, a busy commercial street, but its compensated by a well designed and cosy interior. The service was American style, overly friendly and full of toothy smiles and despite a full house, relatively fast. The food is plain and a wee bit uninspired, burgers, baked aubergine, pasta and pizzas and though there was nothing exceptional everything was good -the kids really loved it. Last but not least the bill was reasonable so well definitely go back.

After a mix up about the table booking we were seated in a very nice place, the table staff were friendly and fun, the food was excellent and the wine selections were well chosen. A very good experience compared with our first visit. This time we ate secondi rather than pasta (which we normally have in Italian style restaurants). The first time the pasta were too salty, almost took the point of incredible. This time the stall and the chicken were excellent in every way.

Diner for 2. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the items on the menu. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were good (not to little, not to much). Also, plenty of vegetarian options. Good value for money. We look forward to visit this restaurant again in the future!

Overall a satisfying visit to the Jamies. Ambiance was hands down the best. Service was friendly and attentive. For starter, we ordered the calamari (very nice in crispiness and mayoand italian nachos (very unique and delicious.For the main course, will definitely recommend to order pasta. I ordered a seafood menu, the prawn king. Tasted great with the nice tomato sauce and aragulla on top. Though it was not leaving me hanging, wanting more. On the other hand, steak was a thin sliced type of beef. So though I ordered a medium, it felt like a well-done. That is why I personally prefer a thick cut steak, but still the taste was great. So great. For the dessert, will recommend raspberry shorbet and natural yoghurt!! Remember the portion was not for share!The only reason I give a 4 star is probably bcs of the price and the feeling of not wanting to make it my regular.

Great food (especially considering the pricingand nice ambiance. The (very busyservice however should be improved.Been here two times since opening and averaged my score out between these two, the second time unfortunately being the lesser one.The first time the service was spot on and fast with regards to taking orders and serving both food and drinks.The second time we got seated quickly and were helped by a friendly server, but I had to wait 20+ minutes for a coca cola and later about the same time for a coffee. Since a kitchen employee served my main course, I was not asked if I would like another drink with it (and did not get the time to ask for it myself either). No matter how great your food, these are restaurant basics that need to be addressed.For Dutchies: take into account that the staff is quite international and not everybody speaks Dutch. No problem for me, but might be for others.Will return. Curious to see whether I caught the restaurant on a bad night or happened to catch them on a good night the time before. Still I would encourage anyone to go here and try it for yourself! Especially the antipasti are really tasty :-)

The food was good and dessert was very nice! Service was average: though we had a reservation, they change our table and gave us a very small one in a very bad location; people all the time were passing which was bothering a lot (I have been in very crowded restaurants/bars, but they have never been bothering like this one). Background music was a disaster also! In general, I didnt like the atmosphere! To me, the management of the restaurant seemed poor. But, I will recommend trying at least once and I might go there again!

They fix us a table for 3 without reservation really quick and it was really busy that Saturday. We had a burger, a pizza and a Chicken dish. Everything was really tasty! my only complain can be that the size of my dish (Butterflied sicilian chickenis reeeeally small! but it was really tasty!!!. Also the prices are not so out of this world, is a decent price! The attention is super friendly and on point!. Is my second time in the restaurant and I will definitely go again.

Great place for diner or lunch. Very fast service, amazing dishes and friendly staff. Also suitable for families with kids and English speaking guests. A reservation is recommended.

The food was really average and overpriced. I thought that the portion of pasta was big, but I mean who cares if it doesnt taste that great right? The calamari was good and the staff is friendly. The place is definitely too noisy and the table is too small. I definitely wouldnt recommend it and would not come here again.

Beautiful and cozy location.Very friendly staff ( however a liitle pushy regarding ordering more food). The food was excellent. Even though it is more expensive than Vapiano, I think prices are justified if you take into account the quality of the food, ambiente and customer service.

Visited for lunch on a weekend. Was fairly crowded. Reserving a place ahead might be a good idea.Main course was ok. Not excellent and not bad too. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and it was the worst tiramisu weve ever had. Totally dont recommend that. The waitress for friendly though. Service was good.Going by the brand name of the place, we expected everything to be top notch. It definitely didnt meet expectations.

We were sitting in the back, ground floor. I enjoyed the food I had, which was salmon with vegetables and ricotta. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however there was one staff member who was cleaning in a small room at the back and moved the smelly garbage bin behind me while I was eating.

Disappointing - very chain restaurant. Quality was very average but price was very expensive for what you get. Go to vapianos the service is worse there but the value proposition is much better.

The personnel is very nice and friendly.The food is good is okay. I had the Pesce pizza but there was not that much fish or seafood (as indicated in the menuand the dough was too thin. But the taste was good.The portions arent too big and kinda of overpriced for what you get.But for me, the worse is the noise, its very noise. We almost had to scream to be able to have a conversation.
