Jamie's Italian in Stockholm

[Edited 22-10-2019]I tried their lunch buffet, it’s full of salad 🥗. Hahaha 😂. No I’m just saying. You’ll also get pizza and main course, it was potatoes, fish, and meat 🥩. For 150kr, I think it’s fair price.[Original]Had a lovely dinner with my friends here. The atmosphere from this place is magnificent. Food was okay, for my Asian tongue. But my other friends kinda like it a lot. Price wise, it’s reasonable for the quality food that you’ll get.

Glorious mouth watering food . Theres a inspiring difference with most places l have been to eat in Stockholm and that consistency to good service makes it complete.fabulous charismatic Jamie inspired am sure staff working there made it special

Large Italian restaurant in a nice part of Stockholm.There is plenty of choices which means everyone will did something to their liking.Both pizzas and pastas were good. Good selection of drinks and wines. Did not try the desert, ate too much before I had a chance to.

Food was just ok. Jamie food price does not match it taste.

I love this place. Great quality food. Everything we ordered was delicious. My Friend ordered the porcini and truffle pasta (amazing), husband ordered another pasta, cant remember the name but it was also extremely tasty and I ordered the chicken al mattone. It was good but I preferred their dishes. I went there before and ordered the chicken milanese but is no longer on the menu and thats a shame because it was really really good.Overall a great experience. Also good for if you have kids.

Typical swedish lunch buffet. The meal was tasty. Nothing was referring to a great chefs menu though...

Very good quality food. Wide selection of vines, which tested very good. Food was also delicious. Plenty of space inside, nicely decorated inside. Need to bring one item - Tiramisu was very tasty. Don’t expect the same quality / form they is served in Italy, but it was really good their own variation. For those that looking for combination of good food with good service this is the right address. Recommend.

I think it is 5 star, however lots of guests gave lower rank.

The food is ok. Nothing to write home about. The salladbar was well stocked but completely unseasoned. The only real highlight was the prime rib that had been cooked over night. The gnocchi was kind of a joke. Had better prefabricated gnocchi from Lidl than these.

Had brunch in this beautiful restaurant on my first visit to Stockholm. Staff very friendly and professional. Brunch buffet had many options to choose from sweet and savoury and quality and taste was phenomenal. Strongly recommend 😊

Food was just food, nothing special, service was nice and friendly

Porcino and truffle fettuccine looked like minced meat on a plate. No garlic flavor and not a pretty dish.Wild mushroom with black truffle, garlic,parsley & Parmesan are great ingredients, but unfortunately it did not taste or look delicious.No wine or food recommendations at all so the service was done in a standard neutral nothing to remember kind of way. Some chatting with my daughter. That was nice that a teenager got a bit extra attention.The waiter did not bring me the sparkling i ordered to have before the food. Instead they brought a wine glass with the food and forgot the first order. Odd as the first waiter had specifically asked if i wanted my sparkling first and wine later with the food and it even took some time for him to type it to some device with a poor connection to the main system. Just use paper and pen and concentrate on the customers order..Would be a smoother experience.There was no apologies nor discounts though i had to ask again for the first glass. They could have checked if i wanted to cancel that order since the meal was there already or suggest to have the glass of sparkling as a dessert. So after asking suddenly i had two glasses in front of me while already eating. The idea was to have the first drink while waiting..The restaurant could make the service leaner. Have the same waiter to take the orders, to bring the food and to take care of the same customer to the end. Less complicated and easier perhaps for the staff to remember who ordered what and in what order.The restaurant was not full. The stars are because of the restaurants atmosphere and the location.

Its a bang average chain restaurant. Prices are steep as its in a hotel and the food doesnt live up to the hype of the owner. I really liked his early places in London but these are just pale imitations.

Service was nice with a friendly staff. Pasta Carbonara tasted well but Truffle Tagliatelle was tasteless.

Good service and very good carbonara, the meat plank was OK nothing more. The atmosphere is nice and its not as busy as you expect in an open restaurant like this. Price levels are good too.

The lunch buffé was of course based on Italian dishes. Very good lasagne! Broad variety of salads, I enjoyed that a lot since Im quite picky and could find a good number options even for me. Service was quick to refill water, remove dishes etc, however the welcome desk at the restaurant could have been more attentive to guests coming in.Toilets clean but the sinks were not practical! Design seemed more important than practicality, something that irritated quite a bit and lowered the score after an overall very nice lunch.

Its okay, no more than that. I had the chance to try two dishes - the Italian burger and the carbonara. The carbonara was dry and not special at all. However the burger was quite tasty, and the fries were amazing. The food is expensive and the setting inside the restaurant is not very welcoming with its hard, budget looking chairs and wobbly metal plated tables. The staff were super friendly and joked around. All in all, do not go there because of the Jamie Oliver name tag, go there if youre passing by and want a bite to eat

Busy atmosphere and vibrant, and it lacks soul; not the romantic scene for a hopeful wonderful first date.The tapas appetizer was lovely, but the pasta for the main course was improperly cooked, the taste was bland and the overall impression was lacking.Not a place a will return to as a Stockholm visitor.

Staff were very well mannered and attentive. Food nothing special but the decor and theme are very nice! Id say its good value for money as prices are not too high; especially for that area of the City.

We had dinner once here. We like a lot all his restaurants. Definately recommend! Good food and especially loved the home made apetizers!

Ok atmosphere, a not that good service and ok food.

Total disappointment is how I felt after my first lunch visit at Jamies (at 12.00). For 145 SEK lunch, I expected more from them.Salad looked pretty but a bit tasteless.Fish had absolutely no flavor. It seemed as if they just boiled the fish in water. It was dry and a bit tough.Pizza was nothing special.Pasta was over cooked and bland.Dessert was way too sweet. It seemed as if the baker got tripped over and accidentally poured an entire bag of sugar in the pies. None of us could finish it as it was like eating sugar.The only good thing was the soup.Overall, its over priced and very disappointing (at least during lunch). If they want to continue their business, they definitely need some major improvement.

Have been there with a group of friends, we had reserved the table for a Wednesdays lunch but that wasnt necessary. I think this is a great idea! An Italian buffet for lunch, so pastas, pizzas and so many other Italian food "à volonté"! It was amazing

Service was nice with a friendly staff. Ordered the rib eye medium rare which was good but totally drenched in sauce so you couldn’t really taste the real flavour of the rib eye. Also it wasn’t cooked evenly, probably didn’t rest enough since it was medium rare in the middle but not anywhere else. Nice menu. The drink, negroni, was excellent and the friend shrimps as a starter was good

The exellence of the same brands company its like an Oasis lake in the city center of stockholm where is hard to find a good plate for launch and also in decent price. Very good i have try it also in U. K has every time good italian quality.

We came at peak hours but got a table instant, the place was packed. The appetizers took some time to get, we got the burrata and aranchini they where magical, so worth it. Pasta was also good. Im happy with our visit and happy it was not just another expensive place bevause how close it is to Stureplan. In fact the prices where good and ive har burgersessions cost more than this visit.

Very nicely decorated resto, polite and efficient staff. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Wine by the glass is on par price-wise with most restaurants. They have gluten free pasta, and their Ragu sauce was very good. Enjoyed their panna cotta too - one of the best we’ve had so far in Stockholm. The supper menu selection is limited but we left satisfied and enjoyed the experience. Worth a visit if you like judging celebrity chefs’ gastro-pub visions.

A good chain restaurant with tasty food. Also, this is a kid-friendly place.

Was greatly disappointed with the food that came out cold, lacked in taste and looked sad. The server I would give 5 stars he was great but his supervisor or shift manager or what ever she was, she was rude and awful and SHE left us with a bitter taste in our mouths. Weve been here before and was happy then but feels like its going downhill for Jamie in Stockholm.

A very nice and romantic place, the interior was beautiful and had a varm feeling to it! The service there was amazing and you felt really welcome. There was a lot of customers and we got the food after 10 minutes after ordering our food.The pasta was outstanding and tasted very good. Took an bolognese and an pasta carbonara and it was the best carbonara I ever ate in my life! The focaccia was very tasty, an hard outside with a soft inside and an strong taste of olive oil and thymeThere was a quite loud surrounding in the restaurant so you need to speak loud if you want to hear each other!I can strongly recommend the place, with friends or on a date, its perfect!

Personal service, waitors share their views and will chit chat if not too busy. Nothing was impossible - They went above what could be expected to accomodate our requests of adaptations to the drink and food. The pasta in particular was really rich in flavour.Not the place I’d go for top notch drinks but they were good for starters. Great service along with great pasta makes it a five star in my book.

I’ve read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Me and my Italian husband thought the bad reviews were just a different understanding of what Italian cuisine is. We had the gnocchi and Italian burger. Both were rich in ingredients, but absolutely poor in taste! We also had a bruschetta, that was cold and had no garlic. We haven’t felt this dissatisfied with food in a while. It is definitely expensive for what you get...disappointment.

I have to say, Im glad Ive read the reviews only after visiting Jamies Italian myself.The service were great. I know its a job to care about your customers, but you could notice that the waiters here are professional.About food. We ordered the steak, burger, garlic bread And meat plate antipasti.The food was good. Especially steak. All the ingredients are of high standard and thats why you probably pay a lil more. But Stockholm is expensive everywhere.So, the epilogue - my husband and I liked it here

When we came it was very full and busy, but still we were served in no time. Too bad they didnt have a great draft selection and it was a bit expensive (175 kr for salad).

The food is alright and the service is friendly. But I would expect more considering the great name on the facade and pricing. The dishes werent very special and my was hamburger dry and a bit tasteless. I would recommend spending half of the money you would at Jamies at Vapianos on the other side of the street. Though it is a franchise and you have to bring your own food to the table the used ingredients are always fresh and tasteful.

I love this Italian style restaurant! It is a nature and home style. The pasta is great!

This place is overpriced. The food is very average.Meals didnt come together so one person was finished when another was getting its meal.There are many better italian restaurants in Stockholm.

I had high hopes for this place, but it was an average meal. Decor is very warm and comforting, and the menu is intriguing with authentic and thoughtfully sourced ingredients.It turned out that the food was pretty bland and underwhelming. Inconsistent temperatures of the foods on a single plate made eating it a disappointing experience.The service was very polite and attentive, but I likely wont return.

Nice restaurant, good family food and friendly staff

Arrived 5 minutes before opening time and were asked to wait. Once they opened they asked if we had reserved, we hadnt, waiter rolls eyes and makes verbal noise as if that was not smart instead of welcoming us, restaurant is almost empty and you could clearly tell there were tables. We were a party of 8 with 4 kids. Kids get visual menus and drawing material which was great. All 4 kids order the spaghetti plus meatballs which almost none of them touch after tasting a bit. We took it home and tried it and the meatballs were overcooked and had no taste and the pasta was overcooked as well. A bit disappointing. Our adult food was alright.

I wasnt really impressed with the food, though it was still good. Service was also just OK. Other then that, location and atmosphere where great!

We were a group of 8 people visiting this restaurant. And we were surprised by the bad service at this Jamie Oliver restaurant. At first, the starter didnt contain the buffalo mozzarella as the waiter said. I have been living in Italy for one year and I can definitely tell the difference between ordinary and buffalo mozzarella. Half of the table got the main courses before the other half, while the other had to wait for 20 minutes to get theirs. The meat I got was well done, not medium as I ordered. When complaining about the waiting time, the waiter blamed the kitchen instead and left us without an apology. Since our group had decided to go for a three course menu before we came to the restaurant, we decided still to go for the deserts. After having to ask two times about the desert menu, the waiter insulted me by bringing me two menus and told me that "I better give you two since you are so impatient", please note that I waited 15 minutes for the desert menu so it was definitely reasonable for me to ask again. One good thing though is that the restaurant has a cool and modern atmosphere, but otherwise i wouldnt recommend it at all. As Jamie Oliver I would be ashamed of the level of service and food at this place. Ironically, maybe this would be a good episode for Gordon Ramseys Kitchen Nightmare show?

I was at Jamies yesterday for a business lunch (my client wanted to goafter skipping the place for several months due to quite a sharp decline in the quality of the food earlier in the year. I hated it.I had the risotto of the lunch menu and it was tried out and horrid - crunchy. If I wasnt hungry and with company I would have walked out.When they started the restaurant it was reasonably exciting to have a Jamie Olivers in Sweden as I thought the one in Oxford was very good - but something is wrong here. The service wasnt that great either but then its a reasonably inexpensive restaurant so that wasnt a big problem.The draft fresh beer was good though. Ill give it 6 months and try again as my office is more or less across the street my fingers are crossed it improves.
