My Belgian soul cant handle a week without my Stella. Glad I found this place.

Great pub , with really good staff , perfect spot for watching sport .

We only had coffee as there was no other options than larger meals. Coffee was nice and the waitress was friendly. Would go there again and eat. Was about as Irish as the Acropolis.

When in Athens, this is a great pup. Proper Guinness pours. The crowd seems to be more locals than tourists.

Nice enough pub, service was fast and friendly. The Guinness pie was delicious! If you’re unfortunate enough to sit under a speaker, you’re in for a loud time.

Next to the Museum of Illusions you will find this authentic Irish pub with great service, tasty food, and an excellent selection of beers (try the house beer).

The worst loud music ever in a bar with a view of Acropol.Ok to be faire there are 2 things that I don’t like in today James Jyoce compare to the past that I used to be.First the service it’s not the best . I asked for a beer and also some peanuts which never bring .Secondly the music : hard rock so loud that you can’t even talk to anyone .We are in 2022 not on 80’ s . Specially when the average costumers is 50- 50 plus .We had a reunion from we different countries in this bar because we use to come in 2012 . All be disappointed by the LOUD MUSIC . Nobody could talk and we have decided to pay and leave .About the loud music that you said that I’m the only one who complain I post what an Irish wrote in a review about your bar in a comment below“Pint of guiness was very good. But atmosphere from bar staff was terrible and music was very loud new rock kind of music.. Im Irish and this is not an Irish bar”.

Great to have a little Irish in Athens. We stopped for a pint of Guinness and some fish and chips. Service was great.

Perfect if you want to watch football and get some home comforts in the centre of Athens! The food is amazing especially the Guinness pie

an actually very good pub in the middle of athens. me and six friends unfortunately decided to go there together, which proved to be too much. it a great store for two or three people wanting to catch a snack or watch a game. tasty food with relatively reasonable prices

What a beautiful place,But service was awful!Pressure to order drinks, if you didnt know and you wanted to ask questions, theres no patience for you, she leaves you thinking until you figure it out, and when she comes back you better get it straight!!!Shift changed and the other waiter comes to ask if we are ready with our bill.I look at her and said that we would like dessert, she was surprised. I waited for 30 minutes before I got up to pay for the bill.Three people Three drinks Three meals$84 dollars!For that money 💰 I demande better service!

One on the nicest Irish international pubs I’ve been to , was great to watch rugby there with the family and the food was top quality and the service was excellent.

We went out for fancy drink to the rooftop however it was late to get good table so we ended up here in Irish pub which was not our first visit. It’s always safe port with very high quality beer and great atmosphere. Moreover, it’s good place if you want to talk a lot, music doesn’t interfere you .

The food was amazing, it took a bit of time to be spotted but thats not due to the waiters as we were sitting outside and the view from the inside seems a bit less than optimal.Will go again for sure.

Awesome Irish pub right in the middle of Athens! Always get a pint of Guinness here! Nice tasty Irish foods too!

Good little Irish themed bar, prices o.k. between 5 to 6 euro for a pint. Clean, but lacks real atmosphere. Shows sport, so great if your into it. Staff efficient. Would go again, but only because its the only where you can watch English and international football.

A bit of Ireland in the heart of Athens, great selection of beer, many screens for you to watch the weekend match and of course fish n chips!

Drinks were big and that’s pure moonshine in that glass. Service good!! Burger was fries was filling and good. In a cool part of town.

We came to watch the football and found the bar to be spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly.Great situation in the heart of Athens.I cannot comment on the food as we did not have a meal, hence the score.If we stayed in Athens longer we would return.

So disappointed. Finally after covid, popped in for fish and chips. It was disgusting. Dry and tasteless. My husband had the same and his was slightly better, but couldnt be described as good.We did complain but it fell on deaf ears. We wont be going again.

Ive been a regular customer for almost 8 years. Not anymore. The reason is that we were denied to eat a small birthday cake AFTER having ordered and consumed beverages, food AND dessert. More specifically, the blonde waitress informed us after asking the owner that the latter couldnt allow us to bring out the birthday cake for a nonsensical reason. Absolutely unprofessional on the owners part.PS The said waitress was rude and condescending toward us.

Best food I’ve had in Athens the burgers are top quality! Mike is an absolute gentlemen and the staff are so helpful and friendly. But best of all is the GUINNESS! Nicer pints of Guinness here then some back home in Ireland! 🇮🇪 Can’t recommend this place enough!

I drop in every time I’m in town for a Kilkenny. Staff is always friendly, the place is super clean. I’ve only been there during the day during the week when there is no one else really there.

Nothing special with a very limited beer list. I would say that it is just another touristic spot really expensive. The Very bad cuisine organization led in big delays. The food is decent.

It had music live with Blues and Rock sounds and we went with some friends. The Blueprint band was awesome and the food was delicious.

A great little pub in a surprisingly quiet spot right next to Monastiraki with tasty dishes and a nice selection of draft beers. Highly recommended for lovers of pub style cuisine & dining.

Great music, food, beer, atmosphere! We were even served by a great irish young man. The fish and chips and the crispy salmon were excellent! Dont miss it!

Perfect joint through the years. The chicken burger is a a must. Excellent service too.

Good food and a decent selection of beers. Showed the English Premier League live with the English SKY feed playing.

Food was super delicious. We got fish n chips and sausage with potato mash. The place is always cozy and we are never disappointed. While we did appreciate the waiters willingness to help, some improvement was needed there since she kept taking our empty plates and glasses without asking first. I was left eating alone because my boyfriend was done and she got his plate and everything without even a question.

Very nice place to enjoy your drink with view to Acropolis! Their house beer is quite interesting, nice to try. The fish and chips is very tasty, maybe another fillet should be added to increase the portion a bit. The staff is very friendly and helpful, prices are ok. The Irish character of the place can satisfy the homesick and those looking for something different...Definitely recommended!

If you are need of an Ice Cold Guiness, then this is the place for you! Situated near Monastiraki Square.. The fish and chips is solid here also, not the best but it is fulfilling!

The food was fantastic and the beer was cold and refreshing. I’m not kidding about the food, the garlic shrimp quinoa was amazing and filling. The staff were friendly, fast, and great conversationalist like one would expect in an Irish Pub in Galway. I recommend a shot of Jameson with a pint of Kilkenny!

If you in Athens and feel homesick for the green emareld Ireland or just wanna escape the heat of the flea Market than James Joyce is the purrfect place to relax and feel home in Ireland. Beside Guiness you got a variety of drafts from Ireland and local Greek drafts. Pub is very spacious and comfy and also serves Irish and Greek carvery. Two large TV Screens wont miss you any Sports game and Staff is very welcoming. You can also sit outside watching Tourists bargain with local traders for antiques and you enjoy the cold Guiness in the Greek sun

Very nice Irish pub with a long bar and nice food. You can catch all the NFL games on the tv. Prices are fair and meals are well portiond. Located in the heart of Athens it feels like you are back in the US. Drinks and food will set you back around 20€. Music is nice and there are live music performances on sundays!

Very authentic Irish place, with good beer and whiskey options and great food. Have been going since the first week it opened, and keep coming back. Would highly suggest the nachos, the burger and the appetiser platter. The prices are not cheap but they are reasonable. After all theres a ton of bars in Athens, what you pay for is the experience of an Irish bar, and Ill gladly drink to that :)

A classic Irish pub with a polite, yet rowdy, atmosphere. You can sit inside or outside and get table service or sit near or at the bar and just order from the barman. The food is excellent and rather fast. They do a range of beers, wines, cocktails and hard liquors. I would recommend Joyces house beer, it is excellent and cheap. Fantastic music and friendly staff.

A nice Irish Pub. I have seen much better - but if you are looking to watch a game and have a beer with your friends, it will definitely do the trick... Nice service and good free WiFi.
