Jambo Zamsareh (Ugandan) Restaurant - Restaurant in Wete, Tanzania
The wait is too much with less communication. Food is also awful. Waited 2 hours for small Snacks and not a 3 course meal.Customer service is very poor.
Very tasty and well cooked food,my first Ugandan food experience, satisfied
Beautiful food and lovely service. We travelled from Coventry to London for an event and had already researched where we wanted to eat as we wanted East African food and come across this restaurant, so we had to try it out. Upon arriving we wasn’t sure if the restaurant was open but we were warmly welcomed by the staff and they were more than happy to take our order. The guy that took our order was really friendly and was really helpful with recommendations, we had a good chat and a laugh with him. The food we had was fresh, SO delicious and great value for money! Really authentic, wholesome and beautiful food! We ordered a lot of food and originally we wanted to eat in but we decided we would take the rest home for takeaway as it was getting late. Overall amazing food and amazing service! Again such great value for money - we spent £50 and we had loads, big portions too! Would definitely come back again whenever we’re next in London and eat in properly next time! 100% recommend thank you very much!
Very good food nice vibes great prices
Perfect 👍🏾 better quality than restaurants like Hakasan
Very Nice food and People! (:
It looked closed at first, but went in and were greeted by very friendly person who welcomed us and talked us through the menu. Food came out promptly and was SO DELICOUS. Plantain, matooke, bean stew were my faves. Defo going back.
Excellent. I ordered a 20 person buffet for a birthday celebration. The food was quality and tasty, Id definitely recommend them to anyone who asks me.
Dont let the initial impression fool u. When we first walked in, the set-up was all wrong I honestly questioned the recommendation. It looked kinda run down and deserted but my friend insisted we give it a try.....When the food came out, OMG! So good. The food is so so delicious and authentic I simply couldnt get enough. Everything we tried was perfectly cooked.
Lovely and such helpful staff. Food was delicious as always. Ive seen a huge improvement from how they were before
Authentic ugandan food, I enjoyed it and would definitely go back. 3 out of 5 average overall - ambiance 3, food 4, decor 3, drinks selection 2, waiting time 3
Delicious, hearty food with good communications and delivery service. I was worried that my Muslim relatives wouldnt be able to eat the meat dishes but was assured that they are all halal.
Amazing authentic ugandan food and great value. Will be back for sure.
The food and service was great thanks for a great night
Very friendly , welcoming staffs and delicious food. Lot of varieties in their menu. Its worth the visit.
Authentic and delicious Ugandan food. Just like I used to eat in Kampala. Very good value too. Would definitely go back.
This is the worst restaurant in London avoid at any costs!!! Instead of grilled meat you will get microwaved bones, we payed 20 quid for 2 muchomo dishes and all we found in a bag was few pieces of meat that was most bones 🦴 There was no cassava and chili sauce either. Shame on you!
The food was so tasty the service was good
Great and authentic Ugandan food
The food was beyond my expectation and I would definitely recommend it. Loooovvvveeeedddd it!!!! 🥰🥰
Peanuts and spinach sauce absolutly delicius, meat was great either
Well worth the journey from north west London. Great food and very friendly. Felt very safe with COVID-19 precautions in place. Already planning our next visit! Yusuf was great 👍🏼
Nice Africa food cooked at the venue. Fresh and delicious food. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Placed order for collection and was ready at the stated time.
The food was really disappointing. However, the lady who served is was really friendly

The food was lovely and well cooked. Full of flavour and well presented. I reccomend highly.
Very friendly service and good foods. We called in advance to give a heads-up that wed like vegetarian options.
Been here three times. However my recent visit was incredible and blew me and my friends away. The chapatis were out of this world. To be honest, everything was really good. We had to also order more food to take home. The service was also really great.
I enjoyed every bite of my meal, everything was delicious. The young lady and gentleman that served us were amazing and very friendly. Pricing was spot on very reasonable for such a high quality meal from the heart! I would highly recommend it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here yesterday, everything was delicious. A wonderful taste from home experience. The young lady and gentleman that served us were spot on with their level of service especially during this trying time, exceptional and Mwebale nnyo!
Great food, friendly customer service, cleaning standards were up to par. The atmosphere was very homely and relaxed. Will definitely be going back!
Delicious food and very cheap for the portions! Enjoyed my experience here, thank you for such good food!
Had some food here and everything I ate was very delicious. It felt like home. The cleanliness is up to standard. I will be coming here again and again.
Highly recommend. My Ugandan friend waa new to the country and was looking for somewhere to have traditional Ugandan food, the owner was very friendly and recommended us the matooke, beef stew, plantain chips and chapatti. Me and my friends enjoyed the food and we will be coming back again soon.Definitely check out Jambo!
Customer service was very poor. Nyama choma was sub standard. Everything about their nyama choma was unbelievable. The food was very expensive.
Great food. Even better service.
Lovely vibe, great food and the staff are really nice. Coming back for more of that goat!
Great food and staff
Great place good atmosphere great customer service value for money respect!
The Food is good, however, the restaurant needs to be upgraded from the inside, and outside, in terms of interior and exterior designs.
I’ve never tried Ugandan food but we were very pleasantly surprised about the taste, price and quantity. The peanut stew in particular with the roti was so savoury and filling. There’s not much ambiance but might have been the time we were there. Great place to try something new.
Food was good, nice spinach..samosa, ekyenyanja!!!Environment was cool and peaceful...Gentle caring staff
Really enjoyed the food yesterday, had a lot of fun and delicious Ugandan food. If I am ever back in London, I will come by again. Webale kufumba and of cours tewali buzibu 😊
Ive got to say this is definitely my current favorite Ugandan restaurant in the UK. I found the restaurant very warm and was welcomed very well by the kind and friendly staff. The food was well prepared, delicious, fresh and well presented. I would definitely like to return as the warm ambience gave me a feel of home. Kudos to the owner!
The place has great African dishes...Home away from home.
Best Tilapia I have ever eaten in the northern hemisphere.
Very nice, I will be back
Great food.Good service and best place to eat in
The most authentic Ugandan foods in London. Sarah, the head chef attended to our every need, even reheating food for a friend who was late. The food was Uganda at its finest - the motooke tasted as if the bananas were picked a few hours ago, and Id highly recommend the chicken drumsticks as a starter. The gnut sauce with spinach mixed in, was not something we had tasted in Uganda, but the texture was immensely appealing. Kenneth, the maitre d, was friendly and great at taking a selfie, and even played the finest Ugandan tunes. All in all, cannot wait to go back!
