Jam Rock in Dumaguete

Jerk chicken was so rubbery that I couldve threw it on ice and start to play some ice hockey and so salty that if I wouldve put it on a lake, it wouldve turned to a sea. Staff was friendly and prices were reasonable but food just wasnt good.

Jamaican beef patties were so good. I had the beef stew and the meat was sooooooo tender it just fell apart in my mouth, the only thing was that my potatoes couldve been cooked a bit more. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken it was good. Our meals came with corn bread and vegetable soup. By the time we got our meal I was sooooo full so we took the rest of our patties to go.

Love the food and atmosphere. A must-visit place if youre into good music and good curry based meals.

Duma is a foodie city and this is still the best resto there. I cant seem to order anything but the jerk chicken as it’s so damn good. I’d eat here everyday if I could. Unfortunately, I’m just a every couple month visitor. Oh, and the proprietor is the friendliest guy you’ll meet. He truly cares about his food, the health of his customers (food is very healthy, e.g. brown rice, lots of veggiesand their sincere satisfaction. With the new location near blvd, you cant ask for anything else. Enjoy the best food in Duma with the best view of the ocean. Life don’t get any better than this, folks.

We werr there already 3 times. We like it. Theres live music, great food and friendly staff.

Bit disappointed really some a%#$ole was smoking while we ate dinner which is disgusting.We ordered the beef stew which was ok and jamaican patties which were not spicy enough and the wrong type of pastry to make them authentic

Should make it non smoking our food was spoilt by some twot smoking thru our meal the food itself was good jamaican patties beef stew and jerk chicken

excellent food and fast WiFiGreat interior design, great atmosphere and delicious food! You can relax on the balcony overlooking the ocean and escape from the crowded city of Dumaguete. Vegetarian soup was made of fresh vegetables and tasted like it was cooked by my grandmother: DFloor below there is a Pizzeria that prepares excellent Pizzas!Btw. Wi Fi is very fastI definitely recommend;)

If you love fresh ingredients and great people then you will love Orvilles place. Jamrock is the real deal when it comes to great food and casual atmosphere.

Hands down the best curry I ever had! Free bread and soup for starter. Had the stew and the mutton/goat and all of it was just heavenly.

Best restaurant in Dumaguette.Everything tastes fantastic and the company and ambiance is always warm and welcoming. Make this your first stop in dumaguette. You might not leave.Its that good, haha.Try the jerk and curry chicken. The escovich fish is good too. Oh and the complimentary soup and bread is the best.Stop reading this and go to the Jamrock Cafe.Eat. Travel. And be happy.

Terrific chicken curry, very authentic, superb atmosphere. Chef came out to say hello. You can clearly tell he cares deeply for his customers and success of his business. The food was superb and very fairly priced and came with deleicious soup and delicious sides. All was perfect.

A nice place for a family dinner. They also offer 20% discount for students and senior citizens. The Jamaican owner is also very friendly.

Authentic Jamaican food cooked by a dedicated chef. Everyone gets a small bowl of soup and bread who goes in gratis.The chef is also involved with local work with the kids. Feeding and teaching them going into schools.

I just got home from grubbing on an AMAZING mutton curry and other stew at the JamRock Cafe, and I feel so blessed that the proprietor and chef, Mr. Orville Henry, has chosen to call Dumaguete home. In fact, he recently moved from the True Love Cafe to a bigger, better, tastier, more colorful, better located, and more reggae-fied location, opened under this new name. Its one of the best meals Ive ever had, yet alone had in the Philippines, and Ill be back a couple times a week at the very least. Orville is truly a visionary, feeding minds and souls as well as bellies, and serves as an important community icon here in Duma!
