Jake's Pizza in Albert Lea

Ive only ate here a handful of times, but Ive left happy and full every time. Its pizza made how pizza is supposed to be made. So much better than the chain pizza places. Its a locally owned business and has been in operation for 60 years. Highly recommend Jakes for real pizza.

Good pizza, but skip the wings

The crust was perfect, the sauce was great, and plenty of cheese on top. This is an absolute must for any pizza fan going through Albert Lea. Its worth a trip up just to go there.

If you like cheese, I mean A LOT of cheese on your pizza you will love Jakes.

The pizza is made by Nick who’s a domestic abuser so I promise you that the quality isn’t goodEdit: bill what’s confusing about you customers not wanting to eat food made by a child diddler? And your borderline endorsement of that type of illegal behavior by not removing him from your establishment?

Checked in the the Best Western, was told by front desk, you were the go to. She evens writes your phone number on key card envelopes.Since you are delivering to a hotel… paper plates might be nice, or at least, napkins!?! Just a suggestion.

Love Jakes! Awesome staff and Amazing Pizza! The slices are big as your plate, and make me extremely HAPPY! My happy place in my tummy🥰

Traveling through from Tucson on my way up north. Always stay in Albert Lea.. after a recommendation from the hotel front desk I ordered pizza from Jake’s. It was fantastic! Generous toppings and lots of cheese. The salad was good too— my only suggestion would be to send a plastic fork… but I happened to have one this time so just for future reference🙂 thank you! I will definitely order again the next time I am in town

Ordered the "Jakes special" and its absolutely delicious. Fresh dough, just the right amount of sauce and no shortage of toppings. Price was extremely fair especially considering the rising cost of everything currently. Delivery time estimate was accurate and everyone was friendly. Im glad I picked Jakes and I will definitely order from them again next time Im in town.

I traveled 700 miles to come home and be with my Dad over the holidays. Every time I come home its a ritual that we order Jakes at least one night. This day didnt disappoint. The pizza was perfect, just like it has been since I had it the first time 40 years ago! I can remember only a few phone numbers by heart nowadays, but, I can remember the Jakes Jingle like it was yesterday. If I ever get thrown in jail, this will be one of the few numbers I would be able to call for bail! Keep doing the great stuff and Ill keep coming back!

Used to work at Jakes throughout high school and beyond, each time im in town, i most definitely order pies. Would love to find out about any available Jakes merchandise, mostly shop t-shirts etc. I used to have a baseball jacket from there, but that was many moons ago. Please let an out of towner know if you might have some shirts for sale....thanks so much!!

Food was great! Price was great! And customer service was great! Worth getting off the interstate and traveling into town a little ways! We were happy to get this recommendation and so wanted to pass along to others!

We routinely buy multiple pizzas a week to give to our customers for appreciation. I wouldn’t keep coming back if the pizza wasn’t the best around, and locally owned! Keep up the great work!

$4 pizza slices sounds like a lot til you see the slices. $1 more for a can of soda with no tax coming to $5 flat is a real deal.

OMG. This place is awesome. We’re stuck here while our semi is getting repaired at Volvo and we try not to go to chain restaurants if we can avoid it. Read reviews on google and they do NOT lie. Large pizza and wings$24 delivery right as scheduled. Pizza and wings did not disappoint. Thank you so much. Probably the best pizza I’ve had in years. Btw I typically don’t eat wings but these I had to try and fantastic.

Best pizza place ever. Every time we are in town for a horse show we have to order. The wife and kids love the taco salad as well as the pizza.

If I could give more stars I would!! My family and I stayed in town on Monday 8-9-21 and ate jakes pizza! Ordered butch’s special! The BEST crispy crust and pizza!! And wings were tasty!! I wish I lived here! But, I WILL be back 😃

Ive been eating Jakes pizza since before I could talk! Always a favorite with my family! Ate there daily in high school and later on when I was pregnant with second son, thats all I wanted to eat (and thats all I did eat). I moved to Wisconsin 20 years ago and Im here in town staying at my friends apartment....which is right behind Jakes!! This girl is getting pizza tonight!! Thanks for being a great place to eat!! I will always come back!!

Been traveling the U.S. for 12 days and headed to La Crosse to spend the night. Did a quick explore restaurants witj Google and the family wanted pizza so we picked Jakes. Reviews looked good. Not much to look at from the exterior, might not have gone in had I not called in a pickup order. Dont judge a book by its cover. The Thin crust pizza is delicious! We got a large Porky Pig and a large pepperoni and mushroom. Should have gotten 2 Porky Pigs...both were delicious but man the Porky Pig really had a lot of flavor. Of you are close pick up or eat in! Great pizza, staff friendly.

Ordered a pizzafrom here after a recommendation was made by someone working at the AmericInn off of the interstate. The individual stated it was the best in town. We ordered a basic pizza (pepperoni/sausage). The price was only $13, which was shocking but what was even more shocking was that they said itd be ready in 15 minutes. My first thought was that it takes at least 25 minutes to fully cook a frozen pizza. I picked up the pizza and the first thing I noticed was that none of the staff were wearing their masks properly and some fixed them as I walked in. The dining room was empty but clean. I expected the young girl who handed me the pizza to say thank you but that didnt happen - she wasnt rude but she didnt provide the best customer service either. I was honestly pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the thinness of the crust and the flavor was good too. The entire family enjoyed it.

Im new to Jakes Pizza, and the last 2 times weve ordered its been from our ice shack on the lake--its been awesome, fast, friendly..pizzascooked perfect..quoted me a great time and beat it even! Thanks guys!

Really good pizza!!! Thin crust with a little crisp to it and nice flavored. We bought the most expensive pizza on the menu, with drinks for 2 and a small appetizer all for 30 bucks. We took half the pizza home for tomorrows supper. That is great value. Very friendly and attentive staff - frequentlyntly asking if they could do anything else for us and sounding like they really wanted to help us. The only minor disappointment was the soda only came in cans, I really like fountain sodas when Im out to eat. Easily a five star experience overall.

So so so tasty! I dont live in Albert Lee but if I did it would be my regular pizza place! Great crust and so good. I am not a fan of plain cheese pizza either and they did it perfect. Try the taco pizza ad well yummy!

Worth the drive into town off the highway!We ordered a pizza and some cheese bread. The dining room was closed for Covid but they suggested fountain lake park nearby to eat and it was beautiful!It was fun to watch their delivery guys come up and drop off pizza deliveries for boats at the dock in the park.

This review is for two delivery pizzas.We ordered two large thin crust sasuage pizzas. The crust was soggy, the sausage scarce but surprisingly greasy. The cheese was good. The ranch was disgusting, tasted rancid, not house made.If you want an excellent Midwestern style thin crust pizza with great sasuage and delicious house made ranch, try Bills in Stevens Point Wisconsin!

One of my wifes favorite places in Albert Lea, so we had to stop when in town! They dont disappoint. Cheesy deliciousness on a thin crust! Fun atmosphere, tasty pizza, and find memories. Definitely worth the price of a meal!

Our pizzas were delivered in the time frame specified. The price was reasonable. The quality and taste was excellent. I will definitely be ordering from Jakes next time Im in town. I also want to add that the delivery driver was pleasant and polite.

After traveling from the badlands, my husband and I decided to get pizza. We were going to to with the Godfathers chain nearby (because it was a familiar placebut the reviews were horrendous. We got there 30 minutes before closing and the staff was still very friendly and didnt try to rush us or anything. The prices were very fair and i loved the pizza! It was so delicious!! If you are coming from out of town (or just live there), I would highly recommend this place!

Best pizza for miles around! Perfect crust, cheese, & toppings! My favorite Garlic Cheesebread! All served piping hot! In & out super speedy lunch line w/slices & cans of pop. Super friendly & attentive waitresses- they remember our favorites the minute they see us. BIG glasses of pop that keep you from waiting for refills. You wont be disappointed, but you will be hooked! See you there! :)
