Jaguar Creek - in Belmopan, Belize
Jaguar Creek in Belmopan
Description
The service was exceptional and everyone made us feel at home! The peaceful atmosphere was unbeatable and the plants surrounding the grounds were beautiful! The food was exceptional as well!
MoreWe had a wonderful stay at Jaguar Creek. The grounds are beautiful and waking up every morning to the sounds of the birds and other nature was incredible. The staff was amazing from Arileni who planned everything for us before we arrived, Francisco who made great drinks, the kitchen staff with their tasty meals, and Franklin who took us everywhere. Please note the lodging is rustic (no A/C, no wifibut for me that was part of the charm. We traveled with our family and had 2 teenagers and an 11 year old and it was great to unplug and focus on each other. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something different. For excursions we really enjoyed the Cave Tubing and Mayan Ruins.
MoreWe have stayed in Jaguar Creek in February and we absolutely loved it.This place is a real hidden gem in tranquil beauty of Belizean jungle. There is so much wildlife in the area and you can always book jungle walks, bird watching and many more activities. They are also very good cooks and you are able to taste the best of thr Belizean cousin. The entire experience was perfect during our stay and we both hope to visit them again soon as this was our best holiday ever. Thanks so much to all the amazing staff for making our stay so memorable.
MoreWas so nice to be off the grid! Franklin was the best guide you could have and Sofia and the kitchen staff Momma J and Deliha were more than could be asked for... We wanted to bring them all home!!! Over and beyond
MoreBeautiful jungle resort with lovely people and incredible food. Highly recommended!
MoreI have nothing but great things to say about Jaguar Creek! We came here for our honeymoon and everything was wonderful! Arileni was so helpful in planning, she booked three tours for us, arranged all transportation, and made sure I was accommodated with my dietary restrictions! Franklin was our driver the entire time and my husband and I seriously miss spending our entire day with him already. He was such a joy to be around and always got us to and from our destinations safely and on-time. The chefs and Ismael always made sure we had the most delicious food, and the tours were absolutely amazing! Thank you Jaguar Creek for making sure we had the best time in Belize!!
MoreThis was an amazing experience! We felt like we were on fantasy island. The tours, food & shuttle service were top notch & our cabin was perfectly peaceful. Highly recommend 👌
MoreGreat place with fantastic excursions available. The staff is wonderful and the food is really delicious although I found the portions kinda small. It’s in a truly beautiful natural location and is virtually perfect except the only downsides are that there is no wifi and air conditioning. We were able to get 2g data but only in very specific areas, and while it can be very hot during the day the at night sleeping without ac is very comfortable
MoreOur stay was perfect! Please know the lodging is rustic (no A/C, no wifibut an amazing place to unplug and recharge. The staff Francisco and Ishmael were so accommodating and fun! The grounds were absolutely magical, waking up to the sounds of tropical birds was so beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something different or a wonderful romantic get away to the heart of the jungle.
MoreI highly recommend staying here- the property is gorgeous, brimming with bright flowers and all kinds of trees. The staff was lovely and accommodating. breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious with a homemade-with-care quality. There is a short hiking loop which includes a creek with a place to swim, however, you can also access the swimming area without doing the hike. The cabanas allow you to feel like you are experiencing nature with the safety of screens and bug nets. There is WiFi in the office area but none in the main spaces. This is definitely a place to unplug and take in nature. Close to St Herman’s park, caves branch tours and other adventures!
MoreWe booked not knowing about the internet. Oh well. It was so peaceful. A beautiful spot in the jungle. Ismael was so kind and patient with us as we came to grips with not being able to reach the outside. He helped with meals, directions, helped set up a tour and was there for anything we needed.
MoreBeautiful rainforest getaway. Its rustic and quiet and the food is delicious.
BEST PLACE TO UNWIND FROM EVERYDAY LIFE AND GET IN TOUCH WITH NATURE.I visited Jaguar Creek and my experience was AMAZING! Lets talk about booking: First of all I am a local so when I booked the room I needed my credit card to do so even though I deposit the payment at our local bank. The process was easy and smooth. I had great communication with the woman (I forgot her nameand she asked if we had any dietary restrictions and our approximate time of arrival. The Journey: Jaguar Creek is located about 55- 60 miles from Belize city. Its exactly right across from the Blue Hole on the Hummingbird Hwy and there is a lovely sign with its name so you cant miss it. From the highway you have to drive about 1.5 - 2 miles in on a gravel road (so take your time and enjoy the greenery).Arrival: We were greeted by a lovely young man by the name of Ismael. He was an all arounder (because of the close boarders during this COVID 19 pandemicthe staff was relatively small. He took us to our cabin and helped us with our luggage. He told us about the place, what to expect and what time breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. My Stay: The cabin is very cozy and spacious, in ours it had two double beds, a mini fridge, a safe, hammock, two standing fans, sitting area and a lovely mini patio. On their website it says WIFI is available and I have read quite a number of reviews which stated upon arrival there was none. With that being said I experienced the same thing, there was no WIFI access but I didnt have a problem with that. The food was delicious the staff was welcoming.Tips: Jaguar Creek is located in the jungle so take the following into consideration:1. Phone signal is poor especially with your phone data.2. Insect repellent is a MUST3. These is no pool but these is a lovely Creek and you can go tubing as well.4. Keep your cabin door close to minimize insects coming in5. These is no AC and the windows and doors just has thick curtains to maintain your privacy6. The sound of wildlife is very prominent (I feel in love with the sound)7. There is no TV in the cabinIf your are looking for somewhere to detach, this is definitely the place for you.I enjoyed my stay and looked forward in visiting again.
MoreThis place made us fall in love with Belize. The staff are incredibly kind, caring, and accommodating. The property is beyond beautiful to the point that photos can’t do it justice! Every night and morning you wake up surrounded by a beautiful room in the middle of the jungle. The food is beyond delicious, and is served in the plenty! We were never once disappointed or hungry afterwards! If you are looking to unwind, get to know the true culture and beauty of Belize, I fully recommend you pay these guys a visit. It is worth every penny, and some! There are animals, stars, plants and kindness galore here!
MoreThe food was great at the onsite restaurant and there some nice hiking trails.
View is awesome. Nature at its finest. Great customer service.
Je ne vous recommande pas ce lodge, cher pas aimable pas de WiFi.This Lodge is a very nice scenery and Super location but its well the only positive. First its expensive for huts (86 US $proposed, breakfast (9 US $), lunch (11 US $and dinner (US $ 15are expensive for the amount and diversity of food: flat unique, no entry and dessert unique in the evening, not fruit and the quality of meals the expense of the number of person. The cabins do not have window, this is not that mosquito what which would not annoying if the curtains covered well Windows and the cabins was a lot spaced the one of the other, because 3 to 5 meters between each Hut windowless you hear the neighbor snoring, this shower .. so level privacy its a non-existent. We did washed our machine 10 US $ this was no worries on this point there but we were made linen ball and we lack almost any socks. AND FINALLY THE WiFi IS NOT AVAlLABLE IN THE CABANA, IT IS AT THE RECEPTION BUT AT SOME TIMES BECAUSE WOMEN OF THE WELCOMES DISCONNECTS VERY OFTEN THE BOX WHEN SHE HAS TIRED AND LOCATED APOLOGIES ALWAYS MOST ABSURD. In addition it is not not very friendly. I do not recommend this Lodge, Cher not kind no Wi-Fi.
MoreMy wife and I spent 3 wonderful nights at Jaguar Creek and loved every minute of it! The hospitality here is so warm and caring. They really try to make sure all your needs are meet and look like they really enjoy their job. We made requests to go hiking and tubing in a cave and they set it up so everything ran flawlessly. Jaguar Creek even offers bicycles so we were able to ride down the road to the other Blue Hole. We were actually sad when we had to leave and go back to reality. Couple words of advise... bring bug spray! And if you need internet be sure to ask the front desk. Good is delicious and they do have alcohol on site. There is a lovely creek to go and refresh yourself in and a nice trail to do a quick hike. The rooms are nice and have electricity and hot hot water. Dont expect internet in your room but remember that youre paying to stay in the jungle. The jungle doesnt csre about your internet and social media. The howler monkeys will make sure of that. Unplug and enjoy the scenery and solitude away from people!
MoreThe place is about half an hour drive from Belmopan. Very nice, quite and beautiful place. You like privacy this is the place for you.
MoreWe found this locally run eco lodge set in a lovely garden, in the middle of the jungle beautiful. We could feel and hear the nature at all time! Fire flies at night were magical. We appreciated the refreshing creek for swimming.Beds were comfy, room was clean, food was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. There was free parking on site.We found it great, that Jaguar Creek Lodge donates money for Belize children school education, in partnership with PathLight
MoreVery peaceful, very beautiful. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Perfect place to relax and reflect.
MoreThe place is Beautiful! You hear the birds smell the freshness of the dew off the grass. Its just terrific! Very serene. Romantic! Words arent enough!
